NAPERVILLE, Ill., Oct 20 (Reuters) - Internet software provider Spyglass Inc. (NASDAQ:SPYG) said Wednesday its fiscal fourth quarter revenues rose 49 percent, driven by technology licensing and professional services businesses.

Spyglass said its revenue in the period ended September 30 increased to $9.2 million from $6.2 million in the year-ago period due to a 68-percent increase in technology licensing revenue and a 32-percent jump in professional services revenue.

The company said net income was $335,000 compared with a loss of $672,000 a year ago. Earnings per share for the quarter was 2 cents compared to a loss of 5 cents in the same period last year, beating the consensus analysts` estimate of 1 cent according to First Call/Thomson Financial, which tracks such forecasts.

"Our fourth quarter revenue growth of 49 percent and positive earnings performance capped a year in which Spyglass began to capitalize on the emergence of the information appliance market," Douglas Colbeth, chief executive of Spyglass, said in a statement. "Spyglass is now beginning to realize the benefits of the solutions-based business model that the company created to best serve the needs of the rapidly expanding information appliance market."

Colbeth also said Spyglass forged several alliances during the quarter including an exclusive worldwide partnership with Nokia Wireless Software Solutions, a licensing agreement with Seiko Epson, and a partnership with Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc.

Spyglass also agreed to divest its SurfWatch content filtering business to JSB Software Technologies PLC for $29 million, a move that Colbeth said will allow the company to focus its resources on developing the information appliance market.

Spyglass provides consulting, software, and professional services for content providers, service operators and device manufacturers in the Internet industry.

Muß dich leider (auch mich) enttäuschen, ich bin in SPYG nicht investiert und beobachte den Wert nur, da er öfters mit Kursänderungen im zweistelligen Prozentbereich auffällt.
Und das schon seit gut einem halben Jahr.

Ich bin über das Unternehmen nicht informiert, helfe aber gerne, wenn ich irgendwo im WWW interessante News finde.

Aber weiterhin noch viel Erfolg mit dieser Aktie.
