Anbei habe ich einige Daten zu Xenova herausgefischt:

UK-based Xenova has reported that its XR5000 failed in Phase II trials for the treatment of colon cancer.

XR5000, which inhibits topoisomerase I and II enzymes, is still undergoing trials for the treatment of glioblastomas, smallcell lung and ovarian cancers.

Final results from all three trials are expected before the end of 2000.

Xenova may face difficulty in securing license for the compound due to the failure.

The news resulted in the fall of Xenova share by nearly 30%. 7 Jun 2000, No. 367, Pg. 17

Ja schaut in UK wieder mal so aus, als erwarte man was Gutes +5.4% 11:25 Ortszeit.

Jetzt gehts im Minutenrhytmus nach oben schon +7.88% 11:34 !

Man muß nur ein wachsames Auge haben!!

Ich erwarte sehr bald Kurse von 120 pence in London. In spätestens 5 - 7 Tagen sind wir soweit.

Tip: Die Kapitalerhöhung muß ja komplett abgewickelt werden. D. h. sämtliche Aktien (2.8 Mio Units x 5 Aktien = ca. 12 - 13 Mio Aktien sowie 2.8 Mio Units x 4 Warrants = ca. 10 - 11 Mio Optionsscheine) müssen gehandelt werden. Das sind die MINIMUM-UMSÄTZE.

Rechnet euch also selber aus, was bis jetzt insgesamt gehandelt wurde und wieviel noch gehandelt werden MÜSSEN!! Es erwarten uns also noch ca. 1 - 2 Wochen sehr hohe Umsätze. Meist sind die Kurse bei hohen Umsätzen fast gleich oder eine angemessenen Kurssteigerung drin, aber nachdem alles platziert sein wird, kommen die Trader. Dann gehen auch die Kurse nach oben. Fundamentale Infos werden die Kurse umsomehr begünstigen, auch nun bald die positive Marktlage.

Im Bioindex befinden wir uns z. Zt. in einem PULLBACK bis ca. 1030 Punkten nach unten(Theoretisch). Aus der nun exakt geformten W-Formation stehen somit NEUE ALL-TIME-HIGHS in Aussicht! Auch das GAP bei ca. 1400 Punkten muß ja noch geschlossen werden!!

P. S. Heute schon wieder ein Umsatzvolumen über 1 Mio Aktien in England!! Auch die Optionen werden nun kräftiger ansteigen, da bald der Basiswert deutlich überschritten sein wird!
(Bei 120 pence als Basiswert errechne ich grob den Optionsschein mit 30 pence Zeitwert + 35 pence inneren Wert (120 (Kurs der Aktie) - 85 )
= 65 pence. Also eine Verdoppelung innerhalb einer Woche zu rechnen!!

Samstag den 12.08 :
Further down, the shares of Xenova Group, the biotechnology company, added to Thursday`s 10p gain with another 4p lift to 86½p ahead of its interim results on Monday. Analysts at Nomura Securities are understood to have turned bullish on Xenova`s new cancer drug.

Sonntag 13.08 :

INVESTORS received a fillip on Thursday when Cubist Pharmaceuticals bought TerraGen, which acquired Xenova`s drug-screening business last year. Xenova made a £3m gain but this is small beer beside the potential for its cancer drugs. The shares look cheap at 88.5p.

heute Morgen war ein Bericht im INDEPENDENT- xenova hoch spekulativ:

David Oxlade, chief executive of Xenova, the biotech group specialising in cancer treatment, likes to talk.

When he`s not on the blower to international drugs companies pursuing marketing deals for Xenova`s lead drug, he`s talking to colleagues at little British biotechnology groups about possible mergers.

It`s not hard to see why Mr Oxlade needs allies. Most of the value in Xenova is wrapped up in a compound, codenamed XR9576, that stops the body rejecting chemotherapy if it has experienced it previously. Xenova is encouraged by data from ongoing phase II trials of the treatment. But these involve only a small number of patients and investors would be unwise to regard the drug as a blockbuster just yet.

The costs involved in developing XR9576 saw Xenova post operating losses of £3.9m in the half year. Charterhouse Securities forecasts losses of £7.2m this year.

Xenova says as many as four big drugs companies are interested in funding phase III trials. But a deal looks unlikely before decent data emerges. A product is unlikely to be on the market before 2003.

Xenova is already burning £8m annually, and, despite a recent £20m fundraising, needs a partner. Its other phase II drug, a treatment for ovarian and lung cancer, has been disappointing. Nothing else in the portfolio has yet got as far as the trial stage. Hence yesterday`s revelation Xenova is talking, albeit informally, to several biotech companies about mergers to bring some late-stage products into the portfolio.

Uncertainty surrounds Xenova on all levels, and the shares, up 2.5p at 89p, are highly speculative.
