      Hallo,

Stock-World empfiehlt Digital Lightwave (WKN 905334) zum Kauf.

Ausserdem folgende Meldung vom 30.08.00 (Quelle: http://www.nasdaq.com/):

Digital Lightwave Revises Expectations for Third Quarter 2001
CLEARWATER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 2, 2001--Digital Lightwave®, Inc. (Nasdaq: DIGL - news), a leading provider of optical networking products and technology, today announced that because of deteriorating domestic and international telecommunications industry conditions and overall economic weakness, it has revised its outlook for revenues and net income for the third quarter of fiscal 2001.

As a result of these factors, which led to reduced customer capital expenditures and that were exacerbated by the tragic events of September 11, Digital Lightwave now anticipates preliminary revenues for the third quarter to be $8.3 million to $8.7 million. At this revenue level, the company expects to report an after-tax loss for the quarter of approximately $2.7 million to $3.0 million, or a loss of $0.09 to $0.10 per share before any special or non-recurring items.

``Current conditions have caused further reductions in capital expenditures at many customers during what have historically been the most critical selling weeks in our quarter,`` said Gerry Chastelet, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Digital Lightwave. ``We cannot predict when these expenditures will resume and achieve previous levels. As a result, we are no longer comfortable with our prior guidance with respect to revenues and earnings for the balance of the year.``

``We are fortunate to have such a strong balance sheet and great liquidity, which should allow us to weather the storm,`` Chastelet continued. At June 30, 2001, the company had current assets of $97 million, including $45 million in cash and cash equivalents, with current liabilities of only $8 million and long-term debt of only $1 million. ``Nevertheless the company will be taking immediate steps to reduce operating expenses by 15 to 20 percent. We believe these actions along with our balance sheet strength, strong market position and advanced product line should enable us to renew the growth of the business once these conditions improve.``

Digital Lightwave cautions that its anticipated results are preliminary, based on the best information currently available, and subject to the closing of its books and customary quarterly accounting procedures. The company plans to report its final results for the third quarter after the close of market on October 16, 2001.

The company also plans to conduct a management teleconference with investors today at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT. This call will be webcast live for all investors and archived for 30 days at http://www.lightwave.com. In addition, a telephone replay will be available for one week at (703) 326-3020, code No. 5572190.

Except for the historical statements made herein, this release contains certain forward-looking statements that may involve a number of risks and uncertainties. In evaluating such statements, as well as the future prospects of the company generally, investors should specifically consider various factors identified in the company`s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2000, including matters set forth therein under the caption, ``Factors That May Affect Operating Results,`` which could cause actual results to differ materially from those identified by such forward-looking statements. Factors that may affect the company`s results of operations include, but are not limited to, the company`s anticipated fluctuations in operating results and seasonal sales, uncertainty over the worldwide economy, uncertainty over worldwide telecommunications spending, dependence on limited products, uncertain market acceptance of planned products, rapid technological change, dependence on new product introductions, dependence on the continued growth of the Internet, competition, dependence on a limited number of customers, expansion into additional original equipment manufacturer relationships, dependence on contract manufacturing and sole or limited source suppliers, industry-wide shortages of key components, management of growth, limited operating history, dependence on key personnel, substantial influence of principal stockholder, dependence on proprietary technology, possible volatility of stock price, shares eligible for future sale, success in defending significant litigation, and factors inhibiting takeover and government regulations. In addition, the company participates in a highly concentrated industry, and has limited visibility with regard to customer orders and the timing of such orders. The company may also encounter difficulty obtaining sufficient supplies to staff and meet production schedules.
