Global Telephone Communication, Inc. - Szonline Web Based Portal On Schedule And To Be Launched In October

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 2000--Global Telephone Communication Inc. (OTCBB:GTCI) (www.globaltci.com) is pleased to announce that our Shenzhen Global operation in China is currently completing construction of its Web-based portal and with Szonline expects to launch "963.net" in mid-October.

As previously reported, the portal will contain free E-mail and content and will offer pay-for Unified Messaging Services, or UMS, to subscribers. Szonline is one of the largest ISPs in China, with an existing client base of approximately 80,000 subscribers in Guangdong Province who will be migrated into the new platform.

Anthony Sousa, Vice President of Operations for GTCI stated: "We are extremely pleased and excited to be launching our web portal in conjunction with Szonline, one of the largest ISPs in China. As a subsidiary of China Telecom, Szonline has obtained the rights to the toll free 963 dial access code, which will provide internet access throughout China. We expect this to help us market and promote our new platform to other provinces in China and plan to enter Shanghai, Beijing and other major cities during the next 18 months. With the deployment of these Web-based services, we also expect to be able to build out our Voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP, network between these cities with the ultimate goal of providing telecommunication services into and out of China."

GTCI Among The Invitees To The Third Annual Conference On Chinese Commercial Law

      CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 29, 2000--Global Telephone Communication, Inc. (OTCBB:GTCI)(www.globaltci.com)

With the passage of the Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) bill by the US Senate this week, the avenue for China to achieve their goal of membership in the global trading regime known as the World Trade Organization (WTO), has been significantly reinforced.

Mr. Thomas Brandenburg, GTCI`s Chairman and CEO, and Robert Andresen, its President and COO, were among the select 120 invitees to the "Third Annual Conference on Chinese Commercial Law," sponsored by the East Asia Institute at Cambridge University, England. The theme of the Conference was: "Challenges and Changes: The new WTO and Internet Era in China."

The Conference was addressed by the Lord Thomas of Gresford, OBE, QC, whose Chambers co-sponsored the conference.

The speakers, moderators and panelists were comprised of distinguished experts from around the world in the fields of law, finance, business and government.

The discussions were stimulating, informative, thoughtful and lively.

      Among the attendees were:

      1. Victor Chu, Senior Partner of Victor Chu and Co., Chairman and CEO of First Eastern Investments. Mr. Chu is a major sponsor of the conference and a advisory committee member of the East Asia Institute.

      2. Mr. George Stamas, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Deutsche Bank Alex Brown.

      3. Mr. Ron Goldie, "Of counsel" to Mitchell Silberberg and Rupp in Los Angeles, and presently General Counsel and Managing Director of GlobalNetFinancial.com.

      4. Mr. Karl Falkenberg, Senior WTO negotiator, EU Commission, Brussels, Belgium.

      5. Ms. Maria Livanos Cottaui, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris, France.

      6. Mr. John Stuttard, Senior Client Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Chairman of it`s China Business Center.

      7. Ms. Wendy Zelden, Directorate of Legal Research, Law Library, The Library of Congress. Her primary responsibility is to prepare authoritative research reports on Chinese Law to Members and Committees of the United States Congress, Executive Agencies and the Judiciary.

      8. Dr. Simon X Jiang, Chairman and CEO of the CyberCity Group, Shenzhen.

      9. Professor Wang Guiguo, Professor of Chinese and Comparative Law, School of Law, City University of Hong Kong. He holds a JSD degree from Yale Law School and an LL.M degree from Columbia Law School.

This selection effectively reflects the quality of the international audience that gathered and contributed to a high caliber exchange of timely and valuable information.

The Conference afforded Messrs. Brandenburg and Andresen the opportunity to significantly widen their networks of relationships within the legal, finance and business communities that have serious interest in China and its quickly developing internet infrastructures, as well as the dramatic changes and benefits affected by China`s imminent entrance into the WTO. The personal interaction between GTCI`s two senior officers and the other attendees created a number of new and valuable relationships both within and out of China.

      Grüsse:)

für alle die noch in GTCI investiert sind ein paar neue Infos:

Web Based Portal Will Realize Revenues In October 2000
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 23, 2000--Global Telephone Communication, Inc. (OTCBB:GTCI - news; www.globaltci.com) is pleased to announce the completion of its Web-based portal.

Its operations will realize revenues this month.

Anthony Sousa, Vice President of Operations for GTCI stated, ``GTCI has surpassed its revenue forecasts for the month of October due in part to higher than expected advertising interest. Advertisers have submitted executed contracts for banner ads and commercial accounts have approached the Company for web hosting, design and email services to be provided on an outsourced basis.``

The joint venture of SZGLOBAL and SZONLINE has opened www.963.net with free email services. The ``963`` phone exchange is China`s equivalent of toll free numbers. Only nine such numbers have been issued.

SZONLINE`S existing client base of approximately 80,000 subscribers will be provided with email service and optional pay-for-Unified Messaging Services (UMS). UMS is the integration of text to speech, fax store and forward, voice mail storage and notification to pagers and cell phones of incoming messages. With the deployment of these Web-based services to GTCI`s other cities, the Company plans to build out a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) network to provide intra-China traffic. This will also allow the UMS features to be accessible via a local telephone call for subscribers.

SZGLOBAL, GTCI`s China based Network Services division, has an agreement with Shenzhen Newsnet Company Ltd. (doing business as SZONLINE, pronounced (``ess-zee`` online), a subsidiary of China Telecom. SZONLINE is the biggest ISP in Shenzhen and is in the top five ISPs in all of China. This agreement gives SZGLOBAL the right to conduct telecommunications and Internet business and services in Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongquing and Wuhan. The term of the agreement is for 12 years and carries renewal options.
