Here more good news,,,,Letco has BVSN on its option list, meaning BVSN wiil be more exposed and in turn more BUYS!

Options specialist firm Lee E. Tenzer Trading Co. (Letco) has formed a partnership with Omega LLM, a San Franciso-based market maker, in a move to expand its market share on the Pacific Exchange, Letco said Friday.

``This partnership increases Letco`s investment in the Pacific Exchange,`` where Letco LMM is a large specialist unit, the firm said.

The new venture, to be called Letco Omega, will be the largest options specialist firm on the PCX, Letco said.

Letco LMM makes markets in about 40 stocks, notably Amgen Inc. and Qualcomm Inc. while Omega LMM offers markets in 50 stocks, including International Business Machines Corp. and BroadVision Inc.

Letco is one of biggest options specialist units on the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the American Stock Exchange and the Pacific Exchange.

This consolidation comes on the heels of an announcement on Monday by Goldman Sachs that it planned to buy Spear, Leeds & Kellogg for about $6.5 billion to beef up its stock trading business.

Spear Leeds is a market maker on the Nasdaq stock market and also maintains markets in certain stocks on the New York Stock Exchange as a specialist firm.

It is also a large options market maker.

mit totals, last trade size, etc.

Wie zu sehen ist, war der Letzte Trade um 20:01 zu 32 134/256 $.

Der von dir angeführte Link zeigt wohl einen anderen Kurs, aber mit einer früheren Zeit.

Es wäre ja fast zu schön, um wahr zu sein...

Ich mag seit neuestem übrigens auch VIGN. Ähnliches Gebiet und gerade

Was hat uns der gestrige Tag wieder einmal gelehrt ???
Das schielen auf die futures bringt absolut nichts.
Wie man am Nemax gesehen hat, ist nach wie vor Phantasie und Beobachtung der allgemeinen
Lage gefragt. Die größten Gewinner des gestrigen Tages waren Unternehmen, die sich
mit alternativen Energieformen beschäftigen. (ist ja wohl auf die derzeitigen Ölpreise
zurückzuführen).

Ich bin jetzt zum Beispiel am recherchieren, welche Unternehmen werden von der
europaweiten UTMS Euphorie profitieren. Welche Firmen bauen die benötigte
Infrastruktur auf. (Handyhersteller,Antennen,Netzwerke,.........).
Wenn jemand dazu brauchbare Informationen hat, würde ich mich sehr freuen.

Ansonsten hoffe ich, daß heute nicht wieder so ein "Blutbad" an den Börsen wie gestern
stattfindet, und unsere BVSN endlich wieder Grund zur Freude gibt.

Jedoch charttechnisch sieht sie katastrophal aus. Weiters ist das durchschnittliche Handelsvolumen

gute Nachrichten, schlechte Nachrichten, ganz egal, für den Kurs bedeutet das garnichts. Ich denke hier bewegen hauptsächlich Charttechniker und nicht Fundamentalisten (sagt man das eigentlich auch in Bezug auf Aktien ?) den BVSN-Kurs.

wenn ich mir die Sell-orders von BVSN anschaue wird`s
heute wieder nichts.
Ich denke wir drehen noch ins minus, vielleicht sogar schon
unter 30 $ .
Der Ausverkauf an der Nasdaq hat noch nicht stattgefunden-
gestern war trotz deutlichem Minus kein Verkaufsdruck oder
Panik aufgekommen.

Bevor BVSN nicht eine neue Java-basierende Software
herausbringt,
wird die Aktie nicht zur alten Stärke zurückfinden.

Das angebliche Software Problem mit den Kundenverlust(en)
hat sich in den Köpfen festgesetzt.

Vorher können nur aussergewöhnliche News den
Kurs kurzzeitig beflügeln.

Soweit ich gehört habe, kommt die Software Januar 2001,
BVSN weiß was Sache ist,
und wird wohl eine Marktführende Java-Software mit
der einzigartigen Personalisierungstechnik bringen.

Da vergeht der Konkurrenz das Lachen,
und der Aktienkurs wird explodieren, habt keine Sorge.

Vorher jedoch sehe ich keine Kurse weit über 40$,
deshalb 4 Monate Geld parken oder
vorher andersweitig verdienen.

Hallo zusammen,

ich bin neu hier, verfolge Euren Thread aber schon eine ganze Weile.
Nicht schlecht. Ich bewundere Euren Optimismus. Bin selbst auch in BVSN investiert.
Das was da in den letzten Tagen mit dem Kurs ablief - ab... ist ja echt nicht mehr mit anzusehen. Kommt die Besserung tatsächlich erst mit Software auf Java-Basis!? Dann heißt das noch eine ziemlich lange Zeit die Sache auszusitzen. Oder liegt es doch am schlechten Börsenmonat September? An den andern News von BVSN kann es ja wohl nicht liegen... -oder habe ich das etwas übersehen?

BVSN gestimmt.
Die wichtige Unterstützung bei 30 $ sollte halten, und von
hier aus wird ein, so wörtlich "kräftiger Rebound" erwartet
zumal die neueste Japaninititive noch nicht genügend im
Kurs berücksichtigt ist !!
Vorallem die Japaninitiative mit 4 Partnern, startet im Januar
2001 wird als sehr positiv gewertet.
Dein Kursziel von 21 $ kommt sicherlich daher,daß Du von einem
Kurs von 30 $ ausgehst und internet@venture einen Stopp von 30 %
unter dem aktuellen Kurs setzt. Aber Stopps sind normal
und keine Kursziele !!

Für mich ist BVSN weiterhin ein schlafender Riese (vielleicht
erst im Januar 2001)

BroadVision Takes on Ariba, Commerce One in Exchange Software

Redwood City, California, Sept. 19 (Bloomberg) -- Software maker BroadVision Inc. tomorrow will unveil a product for creating online exchanges, a move that will bring it head-to-head against established rivals Commerce One Inc. and Ariba Inc.

BroadVision, which is best known for selling software that lets companies personalize what customers see on Web sites, said in a statement that it expects its new MarketMaker product to ``blow Ariba and Commerce One out of the water.``

Like products from Ariba and Commerce One, MarketMaker runs exchanges that let companies buy and sell goods over the Internet. It includes functions that let companies personalize the experience of the users of the exchanges. That gives the BroadVision product an advantage over its two biggest rivals in the exchange market, which don`t include such functions, said BroadVision Vice President Cliff Apsey.

Still, BroadVision faces a challenge in winning business away from its two bigger rivals who are more established in this field, said Lisa Williams, an analyst with the Yankee Group who follows the market for exchange software. And Apsey said that Commerce One and Ariba customers can purchase software from other vendors that lets operators personalize the exchanges.

``I don`t know if MarketMaker is really going to blow Commerce One and Ariba out of the water,`` she said. ``Commerce One and Ariba are in a very strong position. They have a pretty strong customer base.``

While BroadVision faces an uphill battle in this new area, the rewards could be substantial.

The Yankee Group forecasts that companies will spend $4.9 billion on software, hardware and services to operate business-to- business exchanges in 2004, up from about $1.2 billion this year.

The prospect of a slice of that growing pie could help BroadVision convince investors that it`s poised to keep revenue growing even it faces increasing tough competition from rivals including Art Technology Group Inc.

Shares in Redwood City, California-based BroadVision lost a quarter of their value on July 7 after the company lost an American Airlines contract to Art Technology. So far this year, BroadVision shares are down 43 percent, while Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Art Technology is up 46 percent.

BroadVision said it plans to market the new product alongside the ones it already sells.

``If we`re going into a bank that`s using our financial services product, they probably also need a MarketMaker solution of some sort. And we can sell them that,`` said company spokeswoman Janine Kromhout.

BroadVision said it will start shipping the new software on Sept. 29, one day before the close of its current quarter.

Officials at Pleasanton, California-based Commerce One declined to comment on the BroadVision product, while Ariba couldn`t be reached for comment. Both companies operate exchanges on behalf of their customers, a service that BroadVision said it won`t provide.

BroadVision shares rose 1.44 to 32.25 in Nasdaq Stock Market trading. Commerce One rose 3.81 to 69, while Mountain View, California-based Ariba gained 11.06 to 155.

Nachfolgend ein Posting aus dem Raging Bull-Board, daß die wichtigsten Infos zusammenfaßt:
"Listened to the ON24 and the Bank of America Securities analyst basically says the BroadVision has nothing to be worried about. People are concerned due to the dot com space but as BVSN continues to meet and exceed the analyst expectations, there will be more confidence in the stock. He say there`s no slowdown in sight for BVSN at least for Q3 it won`t be seen and that in Q4 will be fine because it`s seasonably strong and companies have to expend their budgets for software use. Along with that sales managers are more motivated because of bonuses for the year and the excess comissions they`ll receive. So expect things to be fine here. (...) He said though the expectations for next year are to grow about 50% in revenues, he says that`s VERY CONSERVATIVE and will most likely exceed that expectation with no problems.
Also, the way they are positioning themselves in the wireless arens, etc. will be of help to exceeding the numbers. The analyst feels that 24 cents for next year will be raised eventually being that the company is doing just fine. (...) He mentioned BVSN is trading at 15 times projected sales for next year. PS: Wenn man dem (sehr erfolgreichen) Internet-Fondguru Wassili Papas von der Union Investment glauben darf, ist die neue Software-Architektur von BroadVision Anfang des nächsten Jahres verfügbar. Das hat er zumindest in der n-tv Telebörse vom letzten Freitag verlauten lassen. Ferner hält er an BVSN fest, obwohl Kunden zur Konkurrenz abgewandert sind. Aus seiner Sicht ist das Unternehmen auf dem jetzigen Niveau eine Empfehlung ...

Nach anfänglichem schönen Plus wurde der Kurs wieder ins Minus getrieben
und kam leider nicht mehr hoch.
Obwohl das Volumen doppelt so hoch war (über 15 Mio.) wie gestern, rutschte der
Kurs nicht mehr ins plus - ein Zeichen dafür, daß wohl noch sehr viele Zocker
im Markt sind.
Wie lange noch ?
BVSN kann nicht nur bei über 100 Naz-Punkten steigen, oder ?

andererseits: die big boys werden wissen, wann sie schluss machen müssen, die wollen sich ja nicht alle derart vergraulen, dass sich dann keiner mehr traut. ich sorge mich nicht mehr als sonst, entschuldigung - kanns nicht so ernst nehmen.
was das kursdrücken betrifft, da könntest du recht haben. mich schockiert das auch nicht mehr. in diesem sinne: alles paletti.

BroadVision Goes Head-to-Head With B2B Biggies

BroadVision (BVSN:Nasdaq - news) is getting personal about B2B.

The Redwood Shores, Calif.-based firm, which makes software that lets companies personalize their Web sites, unveiled a new B2B offering Wednesday that will put it in direct competition with B2B biggies Ariba (ARBA:Nasdaq - news) and Commerce One (CMRC:Nasdaq - news).

Pehong Chen, the company`s CEO, said that while there`s plenty of software that lets companies transact business over the Web, very little of it actually helps companies develop and manage their relationships. He said BroadVision`s new offering, called MarketMaker, will do that and more.

"There are a lot of people enabling transactions, but you`ve got to go a step further with the automation of the customer-relationship management," Chen said. "Full content-management and customer-relationship management is missing from these other systems."

BroadVision`s new software, which lets companies run exchanges on the Internet, will be able to track users` buying habits and adapt to them. For example, if an individual at a manufacturing company routinely orders the same supplies over the Internet, the program will then offer that person other, related products.

"We`ll be able to learn your area of focus and relate to that all these other areas relevant to you and offer you that," Chen said. While he touted the functionality of his own software, he referred to products from Ariba, Commerce One and i2 Technologies (ITWO:Nasdaq - news) as little more than "plumbing" that allowed companies to get online.

Not that Ariba and Commerce One aren`t formidable competition. Commerce One, for instance, announced this week more than 40 specific add-on services that it`s building into its software to make it more robust for business users. And Ariba has been hailed for its aggressive acquisition and partnering strategy, which has given its products additional functionality as well. Both companies have huge head starts in this area.

But because BroadVision has been relatively successful in the past in helping companies develop and target their Web sites -- the company became profitable in 1998 -- onlookers said the company`s new offering is significant. More than that, it`s already attracted the attention of the competition.

"They`ve got a lot of clout in the market," said Joshua Greenbaum of Enterprise Applications Consulting in Berkeley, Calif., at BroadVision`s press conference in San Francisco on Wednesday. Greenbaum had just come from eLink, the conference that Commerce One is holding in Las Vegas this week. "The Commerce One guys yesterday were all asking me if I knew anything about this, so they were definitely curious."

Nick Moore, a senior analyst at money management firm Jurika & Voyles in Oakland, Calif., said the offering is definitely notable within the B2B space. His firm has been short BroadVision, and is long i2 Technologies.

"Is it life-threatening to Ariba or Commerce One? No. Is it a significant new entrant into this space? Sure," Moore said.

BroadVision`s software application will be hosted on the Internet by application service provider Corio, and will live on the Internet, not inside a corporation`s firewall. Initially, it will be targeted to facilitate the purchase of goods and supplies that companies use to run their day-to-day operations, like office supplies and computers.

But Chen said that the software eventually will evolve to help firms with the purchase of materials they actually use in manufacturing. Commerce One has been harping lately about the big opportunity in B2B for these "direct" goods. It has held out its partnership with SAP (SAP:NYSE ADR - news) as a reason why it will succeed in that space, because SAP makes the complex software needed to manage the manufacturing process.

But BroadVision doesn`t seem interested in offering software like that, either on its own or with a partner. Instead, the company -- and three customers that are already using its product -- stressed Wednesday how easily BroadVision`s software integrated into their own, existing systems. Representatives from SourceAlliance, Rockwell Automation and BuildNet all said the software plugged into their own systems easily.

Chen contrasted that with software that is the result of alliances from different companies, such as Commerce One and SAP or Ariba, i2 and IBM. "This comes out of the box in an integrated architecture," Chen said. "You might be able to do that by cobbling together a bunch of different software, but we call that Frankenstein. You know, you have a brain from this guy and the heart from another guy. It`s hard to make that work."

True enough. But in the surging and fast-paced world of B2B software, taking on the competition is sure to be hard, too.

Wie haben zwar jede menge STRONG BUY´s, aber irgendwie wirkt sich das NEGATIV aus.......

Naja, wir haben bald Oktober ,November,.... und ich denke Broadvision wird bis Februar 2001 die 120 - 150€ erreichen (ohne probleme)

Morgen werden wir ca mit 35,20€ erröffnen, ich denke das wars mit dem abwärtstrend

Die Gewinnwarnung von INTEL wird der Nasdaq morgen wahrscheinlich nochmal kräftig zusetzen. Schlechte News von einem Blue Chip schlagen bekanntlich doppelt durch. Das zeigen schon die nachbörslichen Entwicklungen. :O

SANTA CLARA, CALIF. (CBS.MW) - Semiconductor bellwether Intel warned late Thursday that third-quarter revenue will fall below its previous expectations due to waning demand in Europe.
Intel said that revenue in the quarter will be 3 to 5 percent than the second quarter`s revenue of $8.3 billion. Intel shares (INTC: news, msgs) fell $1.58 to $61.48 at the closing bell.
The stock was halted in after hours trading.

The company said it anticipates that gross margins in the third quarter will be 62 percent, lower than its previous expectation of 63 percent to 64 percent. Intel also sees expenses rising 7 to 9 percent from the second quarter.
Intel`s announcement comes amid rising concern that soaring energy prices and expectations for increased demand stemming from the winter heating season could sap consumers of dollars they would have spent elsewhere, including on computers and other electronic devices.
The International Monetary Fund cautioned earlier this week that it may cut estimates for global economic growth next year because the price of crude is already 20 percent higher than it anticipated.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index ($SOX: news, msgs) fell 4.5 percent Thursday, its first decline in three sessions. The Nasdaq Composite Index ($COMPQ: news, msgs) also fell Thursday, dropping 1.8 percent to leave the technology benchmark down more than 5 percent on the year, rattled by concern that prices still overshoot the outlook for earnings.

Ich will hier wirklich keine Panik schüren, aber das könnte dann richtig bitter werden. Ich hoffe allerdings für Euch, daß diese Sorge unbegründet ist.

How bad is it? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this could be ugly… (Instock, New York)

New York City - Sep 22 - If you’re an active investor, you must know by know that Intel has pre-announced. Unless you live in a cave, you surely have heard that they won’t make their numbers this quarter due to weakness in Europe. How bad is it?

For semi’s it’s bad… real bad. The reason is because the other big users of semiconductors are cell-phone manufactures, and today’s earnings warning from Sprint PCS blamed slower than expected cell-phone subscriptions. The news increases concerns about a slowdown in the wireless industry that started when Nokia shocked investors in July.

First wireless, and now Intel. Talk about a one-two punch for semiconductor stocks.

How bad is bad? Consider this. Analyst’s have been steadily increasing their earnings estimate for Intel’s current quarter. As the end of last year, the consensus estimate for the quarter ending September was 34 cents. Before the company’s bombshell yesterday, that estimate had increased to 41 cents. The steady rise means that expectations for the earnings miss was not factored into the share price.

Let’s put some numbers to this whole mess. Initial support for Intel appears to be $50, almost 20% below Thursday’s close. Technically, the Sox Index already looks sick, making lower highs the whole year, and breaking successively lower trendlines since April. Now, it will be in a freefall to as far down as 750, which is 25% below yesterday’s level.

Only with surprising strength from networking stocks like Cisco, or some other major NASDAQ group, will the NASDAQ hold 3500 if the Sox is below 800, and an intraday level of 3400 would retest a nearly two-year-old uptrend. Such a retest would strike fear in the hearts of long-term bulls, which is usually a sign of the bottom. Thirty-four hundred on the NASDAQ equates to an 11% correction from current levels.

It looks like another scary September/October.

Andererseits meldete sich die Prophetin der Wall Street, Abby Cohen, gestern zu Wort und besänftigte die Börsianer weltweit. Cohen hält nämlich an der hohen Gewichtung des Aktienanteils in ihrem Musterportfolio fest. Die Sorgen über den hohen Ölpreis und den schwachen Euro hält sie für deutlich überzogen, und die langfristigen Perspektiven des Aktienmarktes bezeichnet die Chefanalystin vom Traditionshaus Goldman Sachs weiterhin als "glänzend".

Die US-Aktienmärkte nahmen diese Worte unterschiedlich auf. Der Index der US-Technologiebörse Nasdaq verlor zum Ende 78 auf 3.829 Punkte, und der Internetindex ISDEX fiel 15 auf 791 Zähler. Der Dow Jones konnte dagegen ein Plus von 78 Punkten auf 10.766 Zähler verzeichnen, und der breiter gefasste S&P 500 ermäßigte sich um 2 auf 1.449 Punkte.

In letzter Zeit bin ich im Hintergrund - aber heute melde ich mich:

Bin auch sehr erschüttert! Besinnen wir uns aber mal auf den Mai zurück: da haben alle ins gleiche Horn geblasen und den Weltuntergang an der Börse prophezeit. Und was war Wochen danach? Alles wieder im Lot.
Nun, der Chipmarkt ist ein heisses Eisen. Irgendwann ist jeder Absatzmarkt vorübergehend gesättigt. Es ist eine Umsatzwarnung - keine Gewinnwarnung - quasi eine Vorwarnung. Die Jungs (und Mädels) von Intel müssen jetzt alle Register ziehen und ihrem unternehmerischen Pioneer-Geist durch ein ordentliches Paket Gehirnschmalz auf die Beine helfen.
Es sind immer die Grossen. Wie war´s vor ein paar Wochen bei Microsoft? Heute hat sich alles wieder relativiert.

Ich sehe an diesem Auskotzen der Kurswerte ein gutes Zeichen: vielleicht zieht es nun weniger shorties zu den wirklichen Qualitätsunternehmen - und dazu zählt BV.

Trotzdem nachhaltig dürfen wir nicht unter die 27 Dollar Marke fallen.

Alles übertrieben !
Vielleicht könnt Ihr euch noch an Compaq-warnung erinnern - vorbörslich S&P -F. damals
minus 26 nach Handelsschluß war alles im Plus.
Die paar Aktien die nachbörslich bei BVSN gehandelt wurden sind nicht der Rede wert,
drücken nur den Kurs um dann heute billig einzusteigen.

Da schweigt selbst die Göttliche....
Ich hab` zwar keine Ahnung vom Traden, von Shorties und Calls und Puts und technischen Käufen und Verkäufen und Charttechnik und weiß der Geier was. Aber als IPO-Berater habe ich zumindest ein wenig Ahnung von der Bewertung fundamentaler Firmendaten, von Märkten und Unternehmensfantasien - doch bei den BroadVisionären (an deren NM-Platzierung ich selbst auch beteiligt war) scheint das alles nicht zu gelten. Erst springt einer von 600 Kunden ab und Land ist unter im Lande Pehong Chengs, dann gibt eine Hardwarefirma eine UMSATZwarnung raus und alles bricht zusammen und überhaupt gibt es seit Monaten nur noch ein 6-Prozent-Plus und ein 7-Prozent-Minus und das tagtäglich. Ich habe mir BVSN gewiss nicht zum Zocken ins Depot geholt sondern wegen der Langzeitperspektive aber so langsam verstehe ich die Welt nicht mehr.

Ich weiß, diese Nachricht ist alles andere als fundamental, aber mir war gerade danach.

die gewinnwarnung von intel kommt doch nicht wirklich aus heiterem
himmel. der kursverlauf der letzten wochen zeigt das viele fondsmanager von der gewinnwarnung wussten!

der ausverkauf (nicht nur bei bvsn) ist das beste was uns passieren konnte. kein fondsmanager kauft eine aktie wenn er diese nicht auch günstiger haben kann.
das motto ist ganz deutlich : alle raus ...... grossinvestoren rein!!
diese prozedur wird möglicherweise schon heute abgeschlossen sein !?!?

denke gegen 20:30 - 21:00 werden wir ur-plötzlich steigende kurse an der NAZ sehen. (oh, welch ein wunder)

bleibt nur die sorge ob bvsn in der vergangenheit alle investoren überzeugen konnte. (der asien-deal hat nicht nur freude ausgelöst !!)

Wenn Du der Aktie mindestens 6 Monate Zeit gibst, kannst Du jetzt einsteigen. Kurzfristig sehe ich maximal 33-35 Dollar.
Allerdings darf sie momentan nicht unter die 26-27 Dollar fallen, sonst könnte es nochmal ein gutes Stück runter gehen.
Bis Ende des Jahres sollte BVSN mindestens bei 50 Euro liegen.

ich lese eure Beiträge jetzt über 6 Monate täglich.Ihr habt mir über so manche schlimme Stunde geholfen. Von diesen gab´s ja in letzter Zeit genug.(und gibst ja noch) Habe BVSN damals leider nicht für 30$ kaufen können, gehöre aber auch zu den Sturköpfen die keine einzige wieder hergeben.
So bin ich auch täglich an jeder neuen Nachricht und an jeder Meinung über BVSN interessiert. Das führt allerdings auch dazu, dass ich mich in die solche Kundgebungen wie von diesem ONLY reinklicke.
Nachdem ich dann diesen Müll in drei Foren gelesen habe bin ich froh, daß es euch gibt.
Macht weiter so auf diesem Niveau.
