Die "gute" alte Adelong hat nun doch noch den Weg in die "Börse online" gefunden ...
In der aktuellen Ausgabe wird in einem Interview mit David Rees - Chefanalyst der Commonwealth Bank of Australia - u.a. auch eine Frage zu Adelong gestellt:

Na ja,
CMGI oder Cisco werden auch zum größten Teil nicht an den US Börsen gehandelt.
So einfach kann man es sich nicht machen. Wäre aber schön, wenn Börse soooo einfach wäre.

Da sehe ich aber doch einen kleinen Unterschied.
Weder CMGi noch Cisco waren vorher Goldminen ... ;-)
Und in den USA kennt man die Story der jeweiligen Firma - die Kurse wurden auch dort gemacht.
Bei Adelong war das wohl etwas anders.
Die Australier haben von der Story aus Deutschland erfahren - aber das ist in diesem Board alles schon oft vorgekaut worden ...

Natürlich gibt es einen Unterschied. Mit Adelong hab ich 300%+ gemacht. Mit Cisco und CMGI nicht
Du siehst also wo es Verlierer gibt kann es auch Gewinner geben. Von den paar verbliebenen Adelong Stücken rede ich aber nicht so gerne. Echt peinlich, aber gehört dazu.

Für Zeitungen ist es typisch, nur die Hälfte der Wahrheit zu schreiben. Und das ist meist immer die negative Hälfte. Börse Online hat die riesigen Spekulationsgewinne mit der Umwandlung alter Minen in Internetfirmen verschwiegen. Diese Gewinne sind - wie die späteren Verluste - bei Adelong zum Großteil in Deutschland angefallen. Das Management hatte nur ein paar hunderttausend Aktien verkauft. Dabei gab es ca. 120 Mio. Aktien, von denen die meisten in Deutschland gehandelt wurden. Deutsche waren die Gewinner und Verlierer des Booms. Größter Verlierer ist übrigens ein Australier: Craig Manners, dessen Optionen am 30.11.00 wertlos verfallen sind. Der Verfall dieser Optionen ist mittelfristig positiv für die Kursentwicklung, falls es Adelong gelingt, Beteiligungen erfolgreich an der Börse zu plazieren. Optionen deckeln einen Kursaufschwung beträchtlich. Je weniger Optionen, desto besser ...

You are the registered holder of the above-mentioned November 2000 options in Adelong Capital Limited ("Adelong"). These options entitle you to acquire fully paid ordinary shares in the capital of Adelong. Each option held is for the acquisition of one fully paid ordinary
share at an exercise price of 20 cents per share.
You are formally advised that these options will expire at 5.00pm Western Standard Time ("WST") on Thursday 30 November 2000. Official quotation of the options on the Australian Stock Exchange Limited ("ASX") will cease on Thursday 23 November 2000.
The options may be exercised in whole or in part by payment of 20 cents for each option by no later than Thursday 30 November 2000. If payment is not received by 5.00 WST on 30 November 2000 the options will lapse and all rights under the options will cease at that time.
There is no obligation upon option holders to exercise their options. However, under Listing Rule 6.1 of the ASX, the Company is required to advise option holders of the information contained in this notice.
The market sale price of ordinary fully paid shares in Adelong on the ASX was 7.9 cents on 30 October 2000, being the last trading day in Perth prior to the date of this notice.
During the three months preceding the date of this notice:
* the highest market sale price on the ASX was $27.6 cents on 8
September 2000, and
* the lowest market sale price was 7.9 cents on 30 October 2000.
If you wish to exercise your options then you must complete a form of application for shares on exercise of options which can be obtained by contacting the share registry on 08 9221 7288. This should be forwarded together with payment of 20 cents per option exercised to be received no later than 5.00pm WST on Thursday 30 November 2000 to
the Company`s share registry: Advanced Share Registry Services, PO Box 6283, East Perth, WESTERN AUSTRALIA 6892
Cheques should be made payable to Adelong Capital Limited in
Australian dollars only and should be crossed "not negotiable".
Option holders should be aware that the Board gave consideration to a placement of options in replacement of the expiring options, however it was not commercially viable to do so in view of the regulatory requirements.
