The ActivCard solution enables customers to re-engineer internal and external business processes taking full advantage of Internet-based services and technologies. ``Solutions like ActivCard`s allow us to go beyond improving existing business processes. Regardless of the application or service, users simply insert the card into a keyboard or USB-connected smart card reader, enter a PIN and transparently access the network application or service using the appropriate network credential stored in their card. Another product being deployed by HP is ActivCard`s secure, mobile smart card reader. The ActivReader is capable of being directly connected to a user`s PC, via a USB port or it can be used to display one-time-use dynamic passwords generated by the card after the user enters a PIN via the reader`s keypad. This allows the user to access network resources from terminals that are not yet outfitted with a dedicated smart card reader.
