InfoSpace nach Verizon-Deal im Plus


Die Papiere des amerikanischen Internet-Dienstleisters InfoSpace Inc. können heute einen deutlichen Kursanstieg aufweisen, nachdem das Unternehmen eine Kooperation mit dem Telekommunikations-Unternehmen Verizon Communications Inc. vereinbaren konnte.

InfoSpace wird demnach Verizon Online Services, die Internetgruppe von Verizon, mit umfassenden Anwendungen, Dienstleistungen und Inhalten versorgen. Dazu zählen beispielsweise HTML- und Flash-Informationen, Streaming-Anwendungen und Channel-Informationen. Das neue Angebot soll Mitte September online gehen.

Die Aktie von InfoSpacegewinnt aktuell 19,01 Prozent auf 1,44 Dollar.

Der Kaufpreis soll unterhalb des gegenwärtigen Kursniveaus gelegen haben. Infospace versucht somit die Anzahl der ausstehenden Aktien zum Wohle der Aktionäre, so das Unternehmen, zu verringern.

(Nasdaq:INSP - news), a leading provider of the platform and applications that enable partners to deliver consumer and commerce services across the Internet to any device over current and next-generation networks, and Union Bank of California, N.A., today announced that Union Bank of California has selected InfoSpace`s payment processing platform, Authorize.Net(TM), to power a new online payments service to be offered to UBOC`s business clients under the UBOC brand.

UBOC`s new service will enable its business customers to accept credit card payments over the Internet directly from a Web site or by using an Internet-enabled PC or handheld device. Businesses will be able to assess, fraud-screen and settle credit card transactions online quickly and securely.
