http://www.plasmaenvironmental.com/PlasmaInvestorRelations.h…
Plasma Environmental Technologies Inc. ("PET") is a Canadian public company that develops and markets plasma-based systems for the safe and cost-effective destruction of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. PET is listed on the TSE Venture Exchange (trading symbol: PE). PET is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
The term "plasma" refers to any ionized gas that is able to conduct electricity - a kind of sustained lightning. The plasma process operates without a conventional fuel (such as natural gas or hydrogen, etc.) and there is no flame or by-products (as caused by the combustion of a conventional fuel or incineration).
PET’s plasma systems employ an electrically driven reactor that produces an intense field of radiant energy, at a temperature of several thousand degrees, that literally breaks apart the molecular bonds of liquid, gaseous, and solid compounds of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. The molecules of the waste material are separated into their elemental atomic components, and then reformed into non-hazardous by-products or converted into commodities for commercial use.
Plasma technology is extremely effective and environment-friendly. Plasma torches have been used in the metallurgical industry since the nineteenth century.
PET has developed two plasma-based technologies for destroying waste. These systems can be stand-alone, or integrated into larger waste-processing facilities.
The maturing global population is realizing the importance of the environment to its own survival, and consequently, the environment and waste treatment have become global priorities. Plasma Environmental Technologies Inc. is a timely company with a proven and safe technology that can profitably destroy wastes and make a real contribution to humankind by improving the environment in which we live.
Corporate Information THE TECHNOLOGIES
PAG.
The PAG (Plasma-Assisted Gasifier) destroys solid wastes. The first generation of the PAG is a cogeneration system that converts sorted Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) into electricity. The electricity produced is a green energy that can be sold into the local electrical grid.
PARCON.
The PARCON is a transportable waste treatment facility that destroys hazardous organic (liquid and gaseous) wastes.
