Company Press Release
Global CyberSystems AG Partners with the EMS Group to Introduce UltraCard, Inc. in Europe
BLAINE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 1999--Upgrade International Corp. (OTC:UPGD - news; www.upgd.com), an information technology company, through its equity interests in Global CyberSystems AG, and UltraCard Inc, has partnered with The EMS Group to develop sales and marketing channels in Europe.
The EMS Group will market the UltraCard, Inc. technology. The UltraCard Inc, technology is a patented, revolutionary system for high capacity data storage and retrieval in a standard credit card form factor. Currently, UltraCard has developed and is in the process of commercializing a card in the standard credit card format with 5mb (five million byte) data storage capacity. Compared to the existing data storage capacity of 256 bytes on standard magnetic stripe cards and up to 16k capacity on IC (integrated circuit) Smartcards, Upgrade is excited about the UltraCard potential in Europe.
Since 1981, The EMS Group, based in London, has provided European market development services for over 300 clients including 3Com, Dell, Compaq, Tandem, Lotus Development, Sequent, HP, Sun Microsystems and Xerox.
Carter Alexander President and founder of EMS stated, ``We view UltraCard`s advanced technology as being on the forefront in enabling a host of new and complex applications for E-commerce, telecommunications, medical record and financial transaction applications. Europe has embraced SmartCard technology to a greater degree than the rest of the world we are therefore anticipating a high degree of interest in UltraCard in Europe. As such, we are delighted to have been chosen to spearhead the entry of UltraCard into the European market.``
Upgrade is engaged in the acquisition and development of related software applications. These could provide synergistic distribution channels for the UltraCard technology while creating a diversified asset base.

In diesem
in New Port Beach neben Analysten unterschiedlicher Investmentbanken,
in Upgrade interessiert waren.
eingependelt.
