POET Software to Address E-Commerce Content Issues Faced by Automotive Suppliers at Upcoming B2B Matrix Conference POET Software is Selected to Present Its Solution for Self-Service Supplier Enablement
SAN MATEO, Calif., Aug 21, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- POET Software (Neuer Markt:POXA), a leader in supply-side B2B eCommerce, announced today its participation in the upcoming B2B Matrix conference, "B2B: What it Means to Automotive Suppliers," premiering August 22, 2000 in Southfield, Michigan. Mike Hogan, POET`s VP of strategy and business development, will present "Product Content Management," August 22, from 9:30 -- 10:00 a.m. His discussion will focus on the challenges facing suppliers who are trying to work with various eProcurement systems and eMarketplaces, such as the Covisint Exchange run by General Motors, Ford, and Daimler Chrysler.
Automotive suppliers are faced with a number of complex issues regarding how they can effectively participate in the many eMarketplaces and eProcurement systems that are being thrust upon them by their various buyers. They also need to reconcile these options with their existing investments in EDI.
"Automotive suppliers have been some of the earliest adopters of EDI and other supply-chain solutions," said Hogan. "Now they are being pressed into supporting various eMarketplaces and eProcurement systems. Suppliers need to understand what is required of them and how they can effectively address the myriad of options they are facing, while reconciling it with their existing investments. This is what this speech will address."
Targeted specifically for the emerging class of eSuppliers, POET eCatalog Suite is a comprehensive supply-side solution for creating, managing, and distributing custom eCatalogs to buyers, eProcurement networks and eMarketplaces. POET supports the eProcurement requirements of partners Ariba, Commerce One, and SAP, as well as a number of eMarketplace standards.

Hallo GR
die dicken Fische sind m.E. ariba, C1 & SAP.
Die Umsetzung auf deren Kunden dauert aber laenger, als die Marktteilnehmer nach dem schnellen Hype erwartet haben.
