Die Met@box International AG, Tochterunternehmen der Met@box AG,
Hildesheim (MBX), hat den Einstieg in den britischen Markt für
Interaktives Fernsehen geschafft. Der unterzeichnete Vertrag sieht
die Lieferung von mindestens 100.000 Geräten der neuen
Met@box-Generation vor, beginnend ab dem Mai 2001 für zunächst 12
Monate. Es ist geplant, die Geräte zur Nutzung einer T-Commerce-
Plattform ab dem 3. Quartal 2001 britischen Privathaushalten zur
Verfügung zu stellen. Alle Lieferungen werden durch unwiderrufliche
Akkreditive (Irrevocable Letter of Credit) besichert und bezahlt.

Der Vertragspartner unterliegt Einschränkungen aufgrund einer
"quiet period" und wünscht daher zur Zeit nicht genannt zu werden.
Vertraulichkeitsvereinbarungen (Non- Disclosure-Agreements) bestehen
zwischen Met@box und dem Vertragspartner sowie dessen
Vertragspartnern, insbesondere um bis zum genannten Zeitpunkt eine
erfolgreiche Markteinführung nicht zu gefährden.

Gegenstand der Lieferungen sind Set-Top-Boxen, die auf der neu
geschaffenen flexiblen Plattform Phoenix basieren. Zur Ausstattung

eine Smartcard-Schreib- /Lesegerät für sichere eCommerce- und
Banking- Transaktionen. Die met@box wird Picture-in- Picture und
Interaktives TV bieten, kompatibel mit dem neuen weltweiten Standard
für Interaktives Fernsehen MHP (Multimedia Home Platform). Weiterhin
werden Java sowie die digitalen Videoformate MPEG1 und MPEG2

Die Analysten der LBBW schätzen den Gewinn je Aktie für 2000 auf 0,48 (o.65) EUR und für 2001 auf 1,10 EUR.
Die Folgekosten von 2 Übernahmen hatten SCM im 3. Quartal 2000 trotz eines Rekordumsatzes von 43,3(36,4) Mio $ (+19%) einen
Nettoverlust von 2,4 Mio $ beschert. Nach dem Kauf des niederländischen Smart-Card-Unternehmens 2-Tel und einer Sparte von Fast
hätten 2,9 Mio $ auf Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte abgeschrieben werden müssen. Bis zum Jahresende will SCM die restlichen
Anteile von Dazzle Multimedia übernehmen.
Für die ersten 9 Monate 2000 wies SCM ohne Berücksichtigung einmaliger Aufwendungen und Abschreibung einen Gewinn von 6,3 (7,9) Mio $ aus.
Unter Berücksichtigung dieser einmaligen Aufwandsposten und Abschreibung ergab sich ein halbierter Überschuß von 1,514 (2,98) Mio $.
Die Umsätze expandieren auf 105,4 (87,1) Mio $.
Auf dem derzeitigen Niveau erscheinen Käufe in SCM wieder als reizvoll.
Kurspotenzial: 50/55 €

Da versucht der EffectenSpiegel wohl einen seiner Minus-Titel in seinem Musterdepot (SCM KK 57 €) zu pushen...
Egal, schaden kann es dem Kurs zumindest nicht.

Hoffnung bringt auch der amerikanische Chart. Vorgestern den 38-Tage-Durchschnitt übersprungen; gestern von oben erneut angetestet und heute über den Schluß von vorgestern.
Mal sehen, ob die deutschen Märkte morgen mitziehen.

der ES hat ja hin und wieder Bildzeitungsniveau und ich
bin in den letzten zwei Jahren gut damit gefahren, kurzfristig
antizyklisch zu den Empfehlungen zu handeln.
Ich hab immer das Gefühl, Bolko Hoffmanns Ratschläge kommen
3-6 Monate zu früh.
Wie dem auch sei, man kann dem ES nicht nachsagen, dass er nicht zu
seinen Investitionen steht. Stop-loss scheint dort ein Fremdwort zu
sein.
Jedenfalls taucht SCM seit einem halben Jahr regelmässig in
der Empfehlungsliste des ES auf und wenn ich meine obige Argumentation
fortschreibe, könnte ich mir vorstellen, auch in Anbetracht der
Entwicklung an der Nasdaq in den letzten Wochen und der Tatsache, dass
SCM in den letzten drei Jahren regelmässig ein starkes Frühjahr
hatte (was der eine oder andere Anleger sicherlich mitbekommen hat
---Börse wiederholt sich----), jedenfalls könnte ich mir
vorstellen , dass uns ein spannendes Frühjahr bevorsteht.
(Obwohl, langweilig war´s ja nie mit SCM)
Was sicherlich auch das Board beleben wird, siehe Frühjahr
2000, als sich viele vor Begeisterung überschlugen um dann
in schlechten Zeiten klanglos abzutauchen.(Auch ein gutes Zeichen)
Lange Rede kurzer Sinn, auf dem jetzigen Niveau kann man,
glaube ich, nicht soviel verkehrt machen !

Na hoffentlich hast Du Recht, FordPrefect2. Mussten ja genug leiden. Zumindest die relative Stärke der letzten Woche (aufgrund der Indexaufnahme) läßt doch hoffen, auch wenn die positiven Signale hauptsächlich von der NASDAQ kommen. In Deutschland bewegt sich der Kurs vormittags kaum richtig nach Norden.

fallende Chippreise ....
die große Werbeaktion von Premiere World ... wo jeder seinen eigenen Digital-Reciver bekommt ....

deuten auf ein sehr starkes 4 Quartal hin ....

Die Aufnahme in den S & P Index (Small Cap 600) rückt SCM weiter in das Interesse (sah man auch an den großen gehandelten Stückzahlen)

und wenn sich dann noch unsere Freunde die Shorties eindecken müssen ... dann Prost ....

danach kommt noch im Feb. die Cebit in Hannover ...

aber was noch langfristig für die Zukunft steht und enormes Potental aufschlägt ist dieser Artikel ...

Neuer InternetExplorer 6 Auf der gestern eröffneten Microsoft Messe "Safenet 2000" stellte Microsoft den neuen IE 6 vor mit Platform für Privacy Preferences (P3P). Diese Plattofrm soll das Surfen im Netz sicherer machen. So wird der User gewarnt, wenn er eine Seite betritt deren Sicherheitseinstellungen unzureichend sind. Skalierbar ist dieser Warnhinweis in 5 Stufen. Zudem will Microsoft sogenannte Smartcards auch für den Endverbraucher anbieten. Man kann sich dann nur noch per Smartcard in den PC einloggen was die Sicherheit entsprechend erhöhen soll.


ich kann mir vorstellen daß in Zukunft in jeder Tastatur ..oder direkt am PC
ein Smart Card Reader installiert sein wird ... was dies bei unserer vorhanden Internet Community heißt kann sich wohl jeder denken und was SCM bei einer Markführerschaft von über 60 % bei dieser Entwicklung verdienen wird sei es durch Lizenezen oder eigene Produkte .... lässt meine Augen noch mehr funkeln ....


also schauen wir voller Zuversicht in die Zukunft und freuen wir auf die weihnachtliche Zeit ...welche uns auch schöne Aktienkurse bescheren soll
