ich moechte hier die Hummingbird Communications Ltd.(HUMC) vorstellen,die sich auf "enterprise software solutions(EIP)" spezialisiert hat..hierzu gehoeren die "network connectivity",data warehouse&analysis,sowie die business und e-business intelligence(BI bzw. e-BI) produkte..
ich bin auf die firma aufmerksam geworden,als brio technology(BRYO) ueberraschend gute zahlen praesentiert hat,folglich auch festgestellt,dass es einige big-player in der BI-branche gibt,ich werde sie in jeweils verschiedenen threads vorstellen,und dann einen fundamentalvergleich ziehen..diese sind:

Business Objects(BOBJ)
Cognos(COGN)
Brio Technology(BRYO)
Hummingbird(HUMC)

ihre technologie ist sozusagen die "versteckte" technologie,die in vielen bereichen vorhanden ist,wir aber als "technisch-unwissende" sie nicht bemerken und daher die unternehmen wie microstrategy oder humc nicht in unserem munde sind,ihre technologie aber immer mehr zum essentiellen part der heutigen moderne wird..in zukunft wird man auf deren produkte immer haeufiger zurueckgreifen,und die bereits etablierten werden die winner sein,obwohl es nicht leicht faellt einen herauszupicken,zudem ist noch die BI-branche etwas geteilt in ihrer produktpalette,es gibt hier keinen einheitsprodukt,somit kann es passieren,dass wir in der zukunft mehrere marktfuehrer in der BI-branche haben,je nach ihrer produktspezialisierung,wer aber am meisten profitieren wird,weiss man nicht,ich werde versuchen,5 kandidaten zu beschreiben und zu vergleichen,wer sich nachher als derjenige mit dem groessten potential herauskristalliesieren wird,bleibt der subjektiven meinung ueberlassen,ich denke,alle haben das zeug zu einem grossen,wenn es einige schon nicht sind..tatsaechlich wurde diese industrie von den investoren vernachlaessigt,da sie wie oben erwaehnt,hinter den kulissen der namhaften wie ibm,msft etc. spielt,die namhaften aber,auf die produkte angewiesen sind,und im laufe der zeit immer unverzichtbarer zu sein scheinen..deshalb denke ich,dass diese branche noch unterbewertet und "clean" von investorenmassen ist,und,dass einiges potential und nachholbedarf in den kursen der betreffenden firmen steckt..ich werde mit humc anfangen,da sie m.e. am unterbewertesten sind,mit dem 01kgv(sep.) von 15 und einer marktkap. von 500mio. die niedrigste von den anderen 4 haben..mag sein,dass dies an der fehlenden phantasie liegt,jedoch nach meiner betrachtung kann man schon eine gewisse phantasie erkennen,und ausserdem ist humc ein softwareplayer mit wachsendem umsatz,was keinesfalls das 01kgv von 15 rechtfertigt..

im grossen und ganzen gefaellt mir die firma ausserordentlich gut,und ist zudem noch deutlich unterbewertet..die PE-bewertung von 3000 auf yahoo ist nonsense,die schaetzung fuers jahr00 ist 1.96,somit kommt man auf das von mir erwaehnte kgv von 15..
hier der umsatz,der heutzutage der massstab fuers wachstum und bewertung ist:

nicht sehr ueberzeugend die gesamtumsatzsteigerung gegenueber vorjahr von 27%,sehr positiv jedoch das umsatzwachstum von 74%(!!) im letzten quartal..schlaegt also alle ausser mstr,und hat die niedrigste marktkap..


es fehlt ein bisschen an phantasie wie bei mstr,jedoch ist das wachstum mit der humc-unternehmenphilosophie vorprogrammiert..ich denke,wir werden noch viele positive nachrichten hierzu bekommen..humc hat einen nachteil=>kanadische firma,weiss gott warum,die amis setzen ausschliesslich auf ihre firmen,dehalb sind die meisten kanadischen unterbewertet,auch wenn sie manachmal fundamental staerker als die amerikanischen stehen,ist wohl eine stolz- und ehrensache fuer die amis..jedoch kann eine softwarefirma nicht lange mit einem kgv von 15 da stehen,institutionelle werden schon einsteigen,man wird dazu gezwungen sein,wenn es um die wahl der unterbewertung geht..ich werde einsteigen,da das risiko nach unten so gut wie gar nicht existiert,humc ist zu gut positioniert,und das management zu entschlossen und raffiniert,die umstrukturierung gefaellt mir auch,linuxeinstieg auch vollzogen und weitere akquisitionen stehen sicherlich bevor..m.e. kann man hier mittel- und langfristig nichts falsches anstellen..

SEHR Gute Einschätzung zu Hummingbird.
Die Software ist bei vielen namhaften Unternehmen (Telekom, Siemens, Banken, KKassen ...) auch in Deutschland im Einsatz. Gerade die steigende Informationsflut und der Einsatz von Suchmaschinen (mit KM) sowie die EIP-Lösung (personalisierte Informationen) werden zunehmend nach der Software von Hummingbird verlangen.

Eine Perle auf dem Markt.
