EV Group Celebrates Opening of New Joint Venture Company in Taiwan


EV Group (EVG), manufacturer of MEMS and semiconductor wafer processing equipment announces the official opening celebration of the new joint venture company EVG-Jointech Corp., in CHUNG-LI, Taiwan. During the inauguration ceremony on February 20, 2003, customers and the Austrian Trade Commissioner celebrated the expansion of the company together with EVG’s CEO, Dr. Peter Podesser and team members. For EVG this expansion is a logical step in order to come closer to the Taiwanese customer base which includes industrial MEMS foundries, Advanced Packaging production companies and key players in MEMS and semiconductor industry. EVG-Jointech will be a core site for technology transfer and customer support. "Resulting from a growing customer base in Taiwan, especially volume production installations, a stronger service and support force with direct on-site involvement was needed", says Podesser. "The expanded presence in Taiwan gives us the ability to provide quicker, better and more qualified on-site service to our Taiwanese customers. Our common goal is to work as closely as possible with customers by combining local expertise with the European knowledge base".
