Das ist ein US- Hersteller von Sicherheitssoftware ( Erkennungssoftware. Fingerprint, etc)

Könnte doch 2004 eine guten Aufschwung hinlegen.
Chart hat ein doppeltes Tief ausgebildet.
Ab jetzt könnte es aufwärts gehen.

Bin selber bereits seit Jahren investiert. Die Aktie hat unglaublich viel Potential, vor allem wenn man bedenkt welche Möglichkeiten es noch auf diesem Sektor gibt. Da sich Identix auch noch mit dem führenden Unhternehmen in Sachen Gesichtsscan verstärkt hat - ist man auf dem Gebiet der Biometrie klarer Marktführer. Bereits jetzt sind die meisten US-Airports mit der Hard- und Software von IDX ausgestattet und viele staatliche Einrichtungen greifen auf die Technologie dieses Unternehmens zurück.

ich sehe es aehnlich mit dem potential. ich bin seit januar sehr gut mit viisage gefahren und nun seit heute ich identix drin. ich verspreche mir von beiden sachen sehr viel.

Schätze mal das das bei Identix zu den Feiertagen Gewinnmitnahmen waren und das es ab Montag wieder aufwärts gehen sollte. Zum Handelsschluß in Amerika hatte ja Viisage auch wieder nachgegeben und im nachbörslich Handel wieder leicht zugelegt. Auch da sollte es Montag weiter aufwärts gehen.
Ich persönlich glaube das Identix mittelfristig noch viel Potenzial nach oben hat obwohl Viisage zu Zeit noch der Liebling der Anleger zu sein scheint.Auch sollten da 1-2 Aufträge für Identix für einen gewaltigen Kursschub sorgen,um dann wiederum wieder zum Liebling zu werden.
Langfristig gesehen werden Identix, Viisage und Magal gleichermaßen von der Terrorwelle profitieren solange sie es geben wird, und ein Ende dürfte auf Jahre nicht in Sicht sein.

Cash and Marketable Securities Balance Unchanged at $45.4 Million;
Expects 30-45% Year-Over-Year Revenue Growth in Fiscal 2005

Identix Incorporated (Nasdaq:IDNX) today reported financial
results for its fiscal 2004 fourth quarter and year ended June 30,
2004. Fiscal 2004 fourth quarter revenue was $16.2 million, up 18%
when compared to revenue of $13.7 million in the same quarter last
year. Fiscal 2004 fourth quarter loss from continuing operations was
$4.6 million, or $0.05 per fully diluted share, compared to a loss
from continuing operations of $159.5 million, or $1.86 per fully
diluted share in the year-earlier quarter, which included a charge of
$154.8 million or $1.81 per share related to the impairment of
goodwill. Gross margin for the fiscal 2004 fourth quarter was 35
percent, down from year-earlier gross margin of 36 percent.
Revenue for the fiscal 2004 year was $55.2 million, with a loss
from continuing operations of $23.5 million, or $0.27 per fully
diluted share. This compares to revenue of $52.7 million for the
fiscal 2003 year ended June 30, 2003, with a loss from continuing
operations of $183.9 million, or $2.16 per fully diluted share.
As a result of the Company`s sale of its project management
services subsidiary, Identix Public Sector, Inc. (IPS), in February
2004, the Company`s financial statement presentations have been
reclassified to present IPS as a discontinued operation. All prior
period financial information and comparisons in this press release and
all future financial reports issued by the Company will reflect the
reclassification of the IPS business net operating results as
discontinued operations.
The Company`s net loss for the fiscal 2004 fourth quarter, which
includes the impact of the discontinued IPS business, was $4.6
million, or $0.05 per fully diluted share compared to a net loss of
$159.1 million, or $1.86 per fully diluted share for the year earlier
quarter. The Company`s net loss for the fiscal 2004 year, which
includes the impact and sale of the discontinued IPS business, was
$18.4 million or $0.21 per fully diluted share, compared to a net loss
of $187.4 million or $2.20 per fully diluted share in the year earlier
period.
Identix also announced today that it has received several large
purchase orders from government agencies totaling more than $5
million. The new orders are all expected to ship in the Company`s
fiscal year ending June 30, 2005. The customers, who are unnamed
either due to their request or for competitive reasons, include U.S.
state and federal agencies, as well as an international government
agency.
"Our fiscal 2004-year was marked by the achievement of several
significant strategic and technological initiatives, as well as many
important contract wins," said Identix President and CEO Dr. Joseph J.
Atick. "While we exited our fiscal fourth quarter with revenue
slightly below the lower end of our previously provided expectations,
our net loss was within the range previously provided. Over the course
of the fiscal 2004 year," he said, "we broadened our product suite

Current Fiscal 2005 Financial Outlook

The Company is providing the following ranges of expectations for

PCPA Places New Order under Previously Announced Statewide Blanket
Purchase Agreement with Identix

$550,000, was placed by PCPA under the previously announced statewide
Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) awarded to Identix in December 2003.

Identix Wins the U.S. Department of State Facial Recognition Solicitation

Identix Led Team to Immediately Begin Deployment of Facial
Recognition Systems for DoS Visa Processing

Identix Incorporated (Nasdaq:IDNX), the world`s leading
multi-biometrics technology company, announced today that it has been
selected by the U.S. Department of State (DoS) to supply and integrate
its biometric knowledge discovery engines (ABIS(TM)) for large scale
facial recognition systems for DoS visa processing. The award to
Identix is part of DoS`s mandate to augment its automated
fraud-detection assistance capabilities through the use of facial
recognition to screen for duplicates, aliases and for faces on a watch
list prior to issuance of a visa. Identix was selected after a
competitive bidding process and detailed technical evaluation as the
sole recipient of the DoS`s Facial Recognition System and Integration
Support contract.
The facial recognition system Identix is integrating into the
DoS`s visa application processes will be the largest deployment of
facial recognition technology to-date in the world and is expected to
provide functionality that includes:

-- Initial enrollment of approximately 35 million legacy visa
images;

-- Acquiring and enrolling approximately 8 million new visa
images in the initial year of the contract, as well as in each
option year exercised by DoS;

-- Acquiring and enrolling at least 10 million e-Diversity Visa
applicants per year;

-- Matching against variable galleries and databases provided by
DoS;

-- Processing up to 2,000 matches per hour.

The award to Identix consists of a one-year base contract with
four one-year options to renew in favor of DoS. The contract contains
multiple program specifications and project deployment options. The
initial scope of work under the contract involves immediate supply,
integration and deployment of facial recognition systems for visa and
e-Diversity Visa applicant processing. If authorized and funded by
DoS, potential additional project deployments under the contract could
include the design and implementation of a facial recognition system
for the passport application processing environment. Identix expects
to recognize more than $2.2 million over the next 12 months from the
initial options that have been exercised to-date under this contract.

As part of its responsibilities for issuing visas to foreign
nationals, the DoS has the obligation to verify applicant identities,
prevent the issuance of visas to those who pose national security
threats, and to prevent the issuance of visas to applicants using
fraudulent aliases. In furtherance of these responsibilities, and
based on DoS maintaining some of the largest face image databases in
the world, the agency wanted the ability to compare biometric facial
images of applicants against large databases from multiple agencies,
such as DoS, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security.
According to the DoS, the addition of facial recognition
technology is expected to increase homeland security and better
facilitate the anti-fraud goals of DoS`s existing travel document
issuance processes in the following ways:

-- The automated detection of applicant fraud through the
one-to-many matching of the submitted photo with those already
in the database;

-- The verification of the identity of an applicant for visa
renewal through the one-to-one matching of his or her
submitted photo with one already in the database;

-- The detection of wanted or missing persons through the
one-to-many matching of submitted photos against a limited
"watch-list" of images.

Identix Reports First Quarter Results; Top-line Performance at High End of Company Expectations; Bottom-line Beats Expectations

MINNETONKA, Minn. -- (Business Wire) -- Oct. 28, 2004

Identix Incorporated (Nasdaq:IDNX) today reported
financial results for its fiscal 2005 first quarter ended September
30, 2004. Fiscal 2005 first quarter revenue was $16.6 million, up 33
percent when compared to revenue of $12.5 million in the same quarter
last year. Fiscal 2005 first quarter loss from continuing operations
was $4.8 million, or $0.05 per fully diluted share, compared to a loss
from continuing operations of $4.9 million, or $0.06 per fully diluted
share in the year-earlier quarter. The net loss for the fiscal 2005
first quarter included a special charge of $451,000 related to the
increase in the Company`s lease obligation reserve related to its
vacated facility in California. Gross margin for the fiscal 2005 first
quarter declined as expected to 30 percent of revenue, compared to 38
percent of revenue in the year earlier quarter. The expected decline
in gross margin, as detailed in the Company`s August 12, 2004 press
release, is due to Identix` planned upfront investment in certain
customer programs. The Company believes the return on this investment
and a shift in product mix will result in significantly higher gross
margin between 40 and 44 percent of revenue in the second half of its
fiscal 2005 year.
The Company`s balance sheet remains solid with no long-term debt
and a combined cash and marketable securities balance of $43.8 million
as of September 30, 2004, down by $1.6 million from June 30, 2004.
As a result of the Company`s sale of its project management
services subsidiary, Identix Public Sector, Inc. (IPS), in February
2004, the Company`s financial statement presentations have been
reclassified to present IPS as a discontinued operation. All prior
period financial information and comparisons in this press release and
all future financial reports issued by the Company will reflect the
reclassification of the IPS business net operating results as
discontinued operations. The Company`s net loss for the fiscal 2005
first quarter was not impacted by the discontinued IPS business. The
net loss for the year earlier quarter, including the impact of the
discontinued IPS business was $4.7 million, or $0.05 per fully diluted
share.

$1.8+ Million Order To Assist State in Meeting TSA Deadline for
Fingerprint Biometric Background Checks On HAZMAT Drivers and
Applicants Statewide

Identix Incorporated (Nasdaq:IDNX), the world`s leading
multi-biometric technology company, announced that it has received a
purchase order from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) with a value
in excess of $1.8 million for Identix(R)` industry-leading full hand
and ten-print TouchPrint(TM) 3000 line of live scan systems. The
TouchPrint systems will be deployed at PSP offices throughout the
State to assist Pennsylvania in meeting the requirements of the
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) under the U.S. Patriot
Act to conduct focused background checks, including fingerprint-based
biometric criminal history checks, of all commercial drivers who apply
for, renew or transfer an endorsement to transport hazardous materials
(HAZMAT), including explosives. PSP will also use the Identix systems
for routine criminal bookings. The TouchPrint systems under the order
are expected to ship and be installed over the course of the Company`s
fiscal 2005 year ending June 30, 2005.
In one of the its first major non-aviation regulations in response
to the requirements laid out in the U.S. Patriot Act, the TSA is
requiring all truck drivers who want HAZMAT endorsements to undergo
background checks that include the submission of fingerprint
biometrics. Up to 3.5 million or more current truck drivers and
applicants are expected to be required to undergo background checks,
with an estimated additional hundreds of thousands of new and renewal
HAZMAT endorsement applicants requiring screening on an annual basis.
Currently, the plan requires conducting fingerprint-based criminal
history background checks beginning no later than January 31, 2005, as
well as name-based terrorist focused background checks and an
immigration check to determine whether any present a potential
terrorist threat. TSA will notify the States of the results of the
background checks and states will either issue or deny HAZMAT
endorsement based on that information. TSA developed this plan to
protect against the threat posed by terrorists transporting HAZMAT,
and to maximize flexibility for the states so the issuance of HAZMAT
endorsements is not impeded by security requirements. TSA has provided
all States with the choice of participating in a Nationwide
TSA-sponsored program (still to be implemented), or to implement their
own statewide programs.

live scan systems with the latest in Identix` technology. The purchase
order, which is valued at approximately $650,000, was placed by PCPA

one-year term, with two additional one-year options that may be
exercised by mutual agreement of Identix and PCPA. In September 2004,

Identix Incorporated (Nasdaq:IDNX), the world`s leading
multi-biometrics security technology company, said today that it has
entered into an agreement with Vasona Business Park (VBP) to terminate
Identix` current lease obligations related to the Company`s dormant
office and manufacturing facilities in Los Gatos, California. Identix
will pay VBP, the lessor of the facilities, a one time sum of $5.25
million in return for the early termination and release of Identix`
obligations under the lease. The Los Gatos facilities, which have been
vacant since the Company relocated its corporate headquarters and
manufacturing operations to Minnetonka, MN following its merger with
Visionics Corporation in June 2002, consist of approximately 33,000
square feet. Identix would have been obligated to make payments in
excess of $6.8 million over the remaining term of the lease, which
would have ended in December 2007.

deal for both Identix and VBP. Although we have been actively and
aggressively marketing this property, the market for commercial office
space in the Silicon Valley area has been extremely slow since we
vacated in mid-2002, and remains extraordinarily weak today. With one

management of our cash balances, we believe this is an opportune time
to enter into this transaction, which will result in an approximate
annual return on our investment of 18%. Importantly, this buyout

Identix Reports Second Quarter Results; Record Biometric-Related Sales Drive 54% Year-over-Year Increase in Quarterly Revenue

Identix Incorporated (Nasdaq:IDNX) today reported
financial results for its fiscal 2005 second quarter and first six
months ended December 31, 2004. Fiscal 2005 second quarter revenue was
$18.6 million, up 54 percent when compared to revenue of $12.1 million
in the same quarter last year. Fiscal 2005 second quarter loss from
continuing operations was $2.8 million, or $0.03 per fully diluted
share, compared to a loss from continuing operations of $5.5 million,
or $0.06 per fully diluted share in the year-earlier quarter. The net
loss for the fiscal 2005 second quarter included a special gain of
$1.1 million, or $0.01 per share, related to lease exit cost reserves
in excess of the buyout of the Company`s former California facilities
lease, as announced on December 16, 2004. As expected, gross margin
for the fiscal 2005 second quarter declined to 32 percent of revenue,
compared to 36 percent of revenue in the year earlier quarter. The
Company`s balance sheet remains solid with no long-term debt and a
combined cash and marketable securities balance of $42.8 million as of
December 31, 2004, down by $1 million from September 30, 2004.

percent when compared to fiscal 2004 first six months revenue of $24.5
million, with a loss from continuing operations of $10.5 million, or
$0.12 per fully diluted share.
As a result of the Company`s sale of its project management
services subsidiary, Identix Public Sector, Inc. (IPS), in February
2004, the Company`s financial statement presentations have been
reclassified to present IPS as a discontinued operation. All prior
period financial information and comparisons in this press release and
all future financial reports issued by the Company reflect the
reclassification of the IPS business net operating results as
discontinued operations. The Company`s net loss for the second quarter
and first six months of fiscal 2005 was not impacted by the
discontinued IPS business. The net loss for the year earlier quarter,
including the impact of the discontinued IPS business was $5.6
million, or $0.06 per fully diluted share. The net loss for the year
earlier first six months, including the impact of the discontinued IPS
business was $10.2 million, or $0.12 per fully diluted share.

Current Fiscal 2005 Financial Outlook

The Company is reaffirming the ranges of financial expectations

Minnesota continues to increase the ability of its law enforcement
officers to conduct real-time, on-the-spot identification of
individuals in the field with an expansion of its rollout of the
Identix(R) IBIS system. A new IBIS server, along with 16 IBIS
additional mobile handheld units, has been deployed by the Minnesota
Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA). The BCA IBIS server will
increase overall system capacity and provides law enforcement officers
in the field with an additional data mining server to transmit,
process, and respond to their real-time IBIS transactions from their
mobile units, helping to ensure rapid response times. The BCA is also
deploying an additional 16 IBIS handheld units for distribution to
Minnesota law enforcement officers. The IBIS handheld units provide
officers with the ability to capture and wirelessly transmit
fingerprint and facial image data of suspects in the field through the
IBIS server. With this rollout of additional units, Minnesota now has
more than 80 IBIS handheld units for officer use throughout the State.
Minnesota currently employs more than 9,000 law enforcement officers.
The Minnesota IBIS deployment has been funded by grants
2000-9347-MN-IJ and 2000-9345-MN-IJ from the National Institute of
Justice.

"Earlier this month, the Woodbury Police Department responded to a
call from a bank related to a report of a fraudulent check being
passed. Officers made contact with the woman who was passing the check
and she provided a Minnesota driver`s license as proof of identity.
The woman repeatedly told the officers she was the person on the
driver`s license, but the officers were suspicious due to the fact
that the picture on the license did not look exactly like her. One of
the officers pulled out an Identix IBIS handheld unit and captured two
fingerprints from the woman and a photo, and wireless transmitted the
information to search against the Minnesota AFIS. Within two minutes,
the officers received a response on the IBIS handheld unit that
indicated a positive hit on the woman`s fingerprint along with her
correct name and date of birth. Confronted with indisputable facts
based on her biometric identification, the woman confessed that she
had provided another person`s driver`s license. It was later
determined that she had committed a forgery and had multiple other
identifications and stolen checks in her possession."
Lieutenant Hamborg concluded, "The additional IBIS server will
help ensure that the response time for searches from the field
continues to be under three minutes. IBIS is a valuable tool for our
deputies."

Enhanced Definition 3000 Series exceeds the FBI Appendix F standard by
providing 3.5 times the pixel density and 300 percent more contrast,
resulting in images that have far more fine ridge detail than dictated
by the Appendix F requirements. The Live Scan systems will be deployed
at agency locations throughout the State to upgrade the State`s
existing legacy Identix live scan systems and to significantly expand
the State`s live scan network. Identix expects to ship and install the
systems in calendar 2005.

Sacramento-based NEC Solutions (America) to upgrade and expand
Indiana`s statewide live scan network with the newly introduced
Identix(R) Live Scan TouchPrint(TM) Enhanced Definition 3000 Series.
Identix and NEC have worked closely together for a number of years to
provide live scan workstations that integrate Identix` live scan
technology with NEC`s AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification
System). The integrated systems, NEC LS 21(TM) workstations, are being
deployed to law enforcement agencies throughout Indiana to expand the
reach of the State`s existing live scan/AFIS network, as well as to
upgrade legacy workstations.
Identix said it has received a new purchase order valued at
approximately $1.1 million from NEC for multiple units of its recently
introduced Identix Live Scan TouchPrint Enhanced Definition 3000
Series. NEC incorporates Identix` live scan systems as part of the NEC
LS 21 workstation. Including today`s announced purchase order, Identix
has received purchase orders from NEC for Identix live scan systems
totaling approximately $2.0 million over the past three months. Two of
the earlier purchase orders were announced by Identix in its fiscal
2005 second quarter, which ended December 31, 2004. For then existing
competitive reasons and confidentiality purposes, the customer went
unidentified at the time. Under the most recent purchase order,
Identix expects to deliver the live scan systems to NEC and to install
them in locations throughout Indiana over the course of the next three
calendar months.

Nikon and Identix worked in partnership to develop Face-priority
AF (Autofocus), a state-of-the-art photography feature that uses the
latest digital face finding technology from Identix to automatically
detect human faces in the scene, and to automatically adjust camera
settings - such as focus and gain - to produce optimal images of the
faces irrespective of background, lighting or other viewing
conditions. The Face-priority AF feature will initially be available
