ADC developed Singl.eView LMS to solve a critical problem service providers face. In current environments, both new and existing services, such as MMS, Wi-Fi, text messaging, and voice, are designed and configured via multiple OSS/BSS systems and applications. The result is a heavy reliance and expenditure on numerous key specialists, a wasted time-to-market window of opportunity and revenue leakage created by system and product decentralization.

Virgin Mobile, Britain`s fastest-growing network, recently trialed Singl.eView LMS as a centralized enterprise catalog.

Using Open Access workbenches and wizards, LMS allows intricate business templates to be created, re-used and automated across multiple product types that share similar business rules. The outcome is end-to-end management of the product lifecycle and a product bundling capability that enhances the customer experience. LMS also drives key churn and cost reduction benefits that in the past were expensive or impossible to attain due to inflexible and proprietary legacy systems.

ADC übernimmt Krone Group für 350 Mio. Dollar

Der amerikanische Telekommunikationsausrüster ADC Telecommunications Inc. gab am Donnerstag die Übernahme einer Tochtergesellschaft GenTek Inc. bekannt. Dabei handelt es sich um die Krone Group, einen Zulieferer für Kupfer- und Glasfaserkabel. Der Kaufpreis beträgt Konzernangaben zufolge inklusive der Verbindlichkeiten der Tochtergesellschaft 350 Mio. Dollar. Die Transaktion soll Ende Juli dieses Jahres abgeschlossen werden.
Krones Group ist ein Hersteller von Netzwerk-Equipment, welches sowohl bei Firmenkunden als auch im öffentlichen Sektor verwendet wird. Durch die Akquisition will ADC seine Marktposition sowie die Vertriebsstruktur in diesem Segment verbessern. Konzernangaben zufolge wird dabei der Markteintritt in Länder wie China, Russland und Indien erleichtert.

Die Aktie von ADC notiert an der NASDAQ aktuell mit einem Plus von 1,59 Prozent bei 2,56 Dollar. Die Aktie von Gentek gewinnt aktuell 19,29 Prozent auf 41,75 Dollar.

NEW YORK, March 26 (New Ratings) – Analysts at Robert W Baird reiterate their “outperform” rating on ADC Telecommunications, Inc (ADCT). The target price is set to $4.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that ADC Telecommunications’ intends to acquire KRONE. This acquisition is in-line with the company’s focus on key growth areas, core connectivity and cable business, the analysts say. Robert W Baird expects the deal to benefit the company by providing enhanced geographical presence, expanded product portfolio and considerable leverage. The analysts expect the acquisition to be accretive to ADC Telecommunications’ results in 2004.

ADC Telecommunications "market perform"

NEW YORK, March 26 (New Ratings) - Analysts at Wachovia Securities issue a "market perform" rating on ADC Telecommunications Inc (ADCT).

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company intends to acquire Krone, a division of GenTek, for $350 million. The acquisition, expected to be closed during the July quarter, would comprise $291 million in cash and $59 million in pension and employee-related liabilities, the analysts say. The acquisition is in-line with the company’s plans to shift its focus away from high-end systems and software, Wachovia Securities adds.

wären die Zahlen in USA nicht so beschissen, dann würden wir sicherlich die $3 inzwischen haben, mal gucken was das windowdressing noch bringt.

NEW YORK, April 1 (New Ratings) - Analyst Simon M Leopold of Morgan Keegan initiates coverage of ADC Telecommunications Inc (ADCT) with a "market perform" rating.

In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that the changes in the company`s product mix and ADC Telecommunications’ restructuring initiatives are likely to drive earnings this year. ADC Telecommunications intends to acquire Krone in the intermediate term, in order to strengthen its connectivity business, the analyst says. The acquisition is likely to significantly boost the company`s revenues in 2005, Morgan Keegan adds.
