Hallo, hier ein Bericht von Business Wire.
Teltran International Acquires Certain Assets of The Web Factory Ltd.
      WEDNESDAY, MARCH 15, 2000 1:12 PM
      - BusinessWire

NEW YORK, Mar 15, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- WAP-Enabled Financial Portfolio Software and DSL Internet Service Will Soon Be Offered as Teltran Continues to Provide a Full Variety of

Enhanced Telecom Services On March 15, 2000, a wholly owned UK subsidiary of Teltran International (OTCBB:TLTG) purchased all the Internet network assets of The Web Factory Ltd. for an undisclosed amount of cash. The acquisition includes certain financial software developed by The Web Factory, known as Portfolio Data Monitor (PDM) and Sharetracker, as well as associated intellectual property. The financial software forms an essential part of an integrated financial portal, which has attracted significant interest in the UK to date. This software will now be marketed in both the UK and the US to users of WAP-enabled devices.

The Web Factory is a well-established ISP (Internet Service Provider) with a strong customer base. Its emphasis as an ISP has been to offer business services to its corporate and enterprise clients. Teltran and the Web Factory will begin marketing DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) to the SME (small and medium enterprises) and residential markets in the UK and the US. Broadband (high speed transmission) Internet services are increasing in popularity and will soon be the standard upon which all SME will connect to the Internet. Unlike ISDN, which is also digital but travels through the switched telephone network, DSL provides "always-on" operation.

DSL is a technology that dramatically increases the digital capacity of ordinary telephone lines (the local loops) into the home or office. The technology is geared to Internet access with its asymmetric versions (faster downstream than upstream) and short haul connections with symmetric versions (same rate coming and going). Utilizing DSL technology, everyone from the smallest company to a billion-dollar enterprise can have an Internet connection at speeds appropriate for their business. Current enhanced services like VoIP (Voice over IP) and FoIP (Fax over IP) are also being designed specifically for DSL, as VoDSL (Voice over DSL) and FoDSL (Fax over DSL) will become a standard protocol for sending voice and data in the future. Lastly, according to Industry experts, "DSL lines do not face the same congestion problems cable lines do. Over time, more users will find DSL attractive and predictions for its growth into small and medium size businesses as well as home users, is greater than for cable."

Commenting on the purchase, Byron R. Lerner, Teltran`s President and CEO stated, "This acquisition is tremendously exciting and will position Teltran to aggressively attack the Corporate and SME marketplace. This will be coupled with the ongoing WAP - enabled portal development of The Web Factory and the value-added services strategy that Teltran has been pursuing. We will also launch a DSL deployment initiative, which offers "always-on" high speed Internet access. This relatively new access mechanism will present some truly amazing opportunities for organizations like ours and allow Teltran to increase our share of advertising and content related revenues going forward."

Jimmy Tubbs, Teltran`s COO, added, "This latest acquisition strengthens our ability to be a fully integrated network service provider. Our model is also supported by The Web Factory`s superior customer service, and ability to be responsive to our customer`s needs. In conclusion, this deal will fortify our current holdings as well as facilitate future expansion in Europe."

About Teltran: Teltran International, Inc., licensed by the FCC as a global facilities-based common carrier, offers a full range of telecommunications and Internet related services including Voice and Fax over IP, domestic and international long distance, Web Portal and Hosting, IVR applications, fax broadcast services and ISP services.

Teltran Successfully Completes Testing of Dial Around Long Distance Service in Cooperation with Global Crossing

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 21, 2000--Teltran International (Pink Sheets: TLTG) announced today the completion of the pilot test phase of its new casual access dial-around long distance service known as SavOnCalling.com(TM). The service, which was tested nationwide, allows callers to access Teltran``s competitive telecommunications rates and bypass their pre-subscribed long distance carrier by entering the Company``s "dial-around" code, 10-10-395, prior to making domestic and international phone calls. This service has been popularized among consumers by several companies marketing their various 10-10-XXX access codes. Current estimates show as much as 25% of all residential long distance callers are using 10-10 dial around codes, accounting for over $4 billion dollars of consumer spending in 1999.
"The greatest challenge we have faced has been the process of having our access code programmed at each telco central office in the markets where we intend to offer the service," stated Mitchell Hershkowitz, Teltran``s VP Operations. "This has represented thousands of hours of programming and a substantial cash investment on our part. We have a technical `green light`` in 221 of the 275 US LATA``s or markets where our service will be available. The actual CIC translation, as the process is called, is accomplished in cooperation with the various local exchange carriers (LEC``s); that``s where our excellent relationship with Global Crossing provided us a leg up to get this accomplished."
Teltran``s network backbone is being supplied by Global Crossing Communications (NASDAQ: GBLX) in a unique relationship whereby traffic routed through Teltran``s proprietary access code, 10-10-395, is carried on Global Crossing``s circuits throughout the United States enabling Teltran to enjoy maximum call capacity. Teltran``s CIC transfer arrangement, makes it one of only two telecommunications companies in the world who benefit from this type of partnership with Global Crossing. Due to the high cost of entry, the dial-around market has not suffered the high degree of competition inherent in certain other telecommunications services such as pre-paid phone cards or local resale.

      Teltran Acquires Network Marketing Company

In related news, Teltran also announced the completion of its acquisition of SavOnCalling.com, LLC of Miami, Florida. SavOnCalling.com has developed a web based network-marketing plan to acquire customers for Teltran``s dial-around service. Network marketing is a distribution method that relies on word of mouth referrals between satisfied customers and earns the sponsoring "agent" a continuing income stream in the form of commissions.
Network marketing has been a major source of subscribership in the telecommunications industry. For example, Excel Communications relied exclusively on network marketing to build its market share. According to Al Leffler, a SavOnCalling.com independent agent and formerly one of Excel``s most successful distributors, "In no other form of distribution can a company experience the exponential growth afforded by network marketing. I``m especially encouraged by Teltran``s competitive international rates. Network marketing is very popular among ethnic communities and SavOn``s plan should be very attractive to those markets."

      Patent Pending Customer Referral Process

SavOn``s co-founder Richard Sablon, credited with inventing several innovative telecommunications applications, has developed a proprietary method by which agents can register to sell the service, and protect their customer referrals, over the Internet. "We are hopeful that SavOn``s registration process will qualify for patent protection as a unique process," stated Sablon.

      Sign-ups Outpace Projections

Teltran will market 10-10-395 under the brand name SavOnCalling.com and via www.savoncalling.com. Due to the high level of interest in the plan, the web site where agents log their customer referrals has recently been moved to a dedicated host server in preparation for the Company``s official launch date of September 1, 2000. According to Byron Lerner, Teltran``s President and CEO, "Agents have referred over 19,000 referrals since we began test marketing. We``re quite pleased with the pace of the business thus far and have every confidence that this sales plan and product launch has the potential of delivering profitable results."

      ( BW)(NY-GEOTELE.COM)(GEOL) Geotele.com Deploying Voip Network

      Business Editors/Technology Writers

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 21, 2000--Geotele.com, Inc. (OTC:GEOL) announced today that it has successfully emerged from bankruptcy and is actively establishing a Voip network in order to terminate international voice calls.
Phase One of Geotele.com`s business plan initially calls for deploying Cisco (Nasdaq:CSCO) Voip Gateways in 13 Countries and sell the traffic to major carriers. The entire network should be fully operational by the end of September 2000. Initial revenues from this system should begin to flow in the first week of September 2000. Beginning in October 2000, the company plans to move to phase two of its business plan, which calls for accelerated deployment, and the introduction of enhanced services.
Geotele.com, Inc. believes that it has a certain advantage over other Voip competitors in that it operates and controls the Gateways on both ends. Many others in the industry rely on partners or other alliances in the terminating country.
Overhead for Geotele.com, Inc. has been drastically reduced from prior years with a sharply reduced staff, closeout of office space, and elimination of debt service. This should afford Geotele.com, Inc. an opportunity to turn profitable with relatively modest revenues.

Except for the historical information contained herein, all of the above mentioned contains forward-looking statements within the meaning of section 27A of the securities Act of 1933, as amended.

MIND C.T.I. Delivers Interoperable, Advanced VoIP Billing and Customer Care Solution to Teltran International

Solution integrates Cisco VoIP gateways with MIND billing, customer care and calling card technology

MIND C.T.I. Ltd. (Nasdaq: MNDO) today announced the Company`s recent customer success through its membership in the Cisco New World Ecosystem. The companies’ products work together to deliver a comprehensive, interoperable IP telephony solution to Teltran International, a global, facilities-based common carrier headquartered in New York.

Teltran selected the MIND-iPhonEX as part of its solution. The carrier-grade, real-time billing and customer care system for the emerging VoIP market handles prepaid and post-paid billing, creation and management of prepaid calling cards, real-time cut-off of calls, individual customer rate tables, and flexible fax-charge options. The system also generates call management reports and traffic analyses for customers and provides them with access to up-to-the-minute account information. The solution developed for Teltran, which incorporates both MIND and Cisco products, is based on an open-architecture platform that allows the company to add future services as they become available.

``MIND`s applications maximize the Cisco Open Packet Telephony architecture and enable us to deliver comprehensive solutions to our customers,`` stated Alistair Woodman, director of marketing, Cisco Systems. ``The reliability and flexibility of Cisco`s industry-leading Voice over IP gateways provides the perfect platform for value added applications for our customers using MIND`s billing, customer care and calling card technology.``

MIND joined the Cisco New World Ecosystem in January 2000 and has since worked with Cisco in delivering interoperable solutions to more than 30 joint customers.

``Through the Cisco New World Ecosystem Partner Program, Teltran has access to a customized solution that meets the needs of our growing business,`` said Melanie Gordon, Teltran`s Director of Business Development and Marketing. ``We are impressed with the caliber of companies Cisco is working with in the program. By working in collaboration with innovative companies such as MIND, the Cisco New World Ecosystem delivered the quality of solutions we needed at the speed this industry demands.``

``The real-time billing functionality of the MIND-iPhonEX Billing and customer care solution is the key element to providing prepaid services,`` said Ilan Melamed, MIND`s Vice President of US Operations. ``When integrated with Cisco VoIP gateways, it represents the best solution and value for Teltran. This project is an excellent example of the success that can be achieved with interoperable solutions developed through technology collaboration, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with Cisco through the Cisco New World Ecosystem Partner Program.``

Mitchell Hershkowitz, VP Operations for Teltran, commented, “Cisco provided us with a cost-effective and technically superior VoIP gateway solution. MIND C.T.I. extended that efficiency with a clean interface and web-based applications that increased the scope of products and services that Teltran can now provide to wholesale and retail communities.”

"For about the same time and effort vendors take to brief me alone, they can simultaneously brief the rest of the world with a fully-functional web display of their presentation, including real-time voice (bridge or audio stream), and receive interactive questions submitted from the audience via chat," explains Mr. Davidson. "Additionally, vendors/sponsors will get additional exposure as the briefings will stay on-line via ChatOverIP.Com and will be hyper-linked to the UMfaq.com site that we have under construction. Finally, they``ll get follow-up coverage through CMP. This is a groundbreaking way to spotlight key product introductions," Davidson continued.
"ChatOverIP.com is very excited about taking a service that many companies now utilize and turning it into an online event that truly maximizes all potential marketing and public relations benefits," stated Melanie Gordon, co-Founder and Executive Producer for ChatOverIP.com. "These on-line Product Briefings are a new concept in delivering B2B solutions within the Internet and Telephony industries in a more timely, efficient and cost-effective fashion," continued Gordon.
