ein 99er KGV von lediglich 17 auf.

Fazit aus Aktionär Nr.24 18 Nov.99

HPI hat sich mit dem Datenmanagment und dem Internet in
einem wachstumsstarken Feld der Informatik platziert.
Da HPI derzeit einen inneren Wert von 90 Millionen SFr
aufweist, erscheint die aktuelle Marktkapitalisierung
von 80,56 Millionen SFr keineswegs zu hoch.
Noch wird die Aktie zwar ausschlißlich in der Schweiz
gehandelt, doch die Einführung in Deutschland ist schon
in Kürze geplant.

07.02.2000 Pre-IPO investment of AUD 500,000 in the US company Digital Now
Inc.


Yverdon-les-Bains, 7 February 2000 – HPI Holding SA has invested AUD 500,000 in the Digital Now
Inc. company based in Vienna (Virginia/USA) in the form of a convertible loan as part of a pre-IPO
financing operation. If the IPO takes place before 30 June 2000 on the Australian stock exchange
(ASX), the loan will be converted into shares of the company with a 20% discount on the share issue
price. If not the loan will be repaid.

Ixia Ltd owns a 40% share of Digital Now, which markets a system known as “Digital Photo Factory”
(DPF) intended for laboratories and photographic development shops. The basic idea is as follows: today
650 million standard photographic cameras with conventional films are in use worldwide (70 billion
photos in 1998) and their proprietors also increasingly wish to have access to their photographs in digital
format (on CD-Rom, on the Internet etc…).

The technology developed by Digital Now (DPF) is a complete product which enables photographic
laboratories and retail developing outlets to convert analog films into digital format and supply their
customers with a wide range of digital products. DPF is a combination of the proprietary software
developed by Digital Now and film digitization scanners made by prominent companies.

The digitization systems supplied by competitors of Digital Now all work on the same principle: a linear
process beginning with scanning of the negatives followed by transfer of the digital file to a server and
finally either loading of this file on the Internet or copying it onto a CD-rom. Digital Now for its part has
developed a modular and object-oriented architecture. It uses the server in a non-linear manner and
transfers the digital files from the scanner to a data base which is accessible from a wide range of
peripherals.

This method permits, for example, the creation of digital products on different media simultaneously and
at very high speed. Possibilities include the creation of image CD roms compatible with both Mac and PC
automatically containing five versions of each photo with different resolutions.

In the long term, Digital Now intends to use the network of photographic laboratories and retail
developing outlets as distribution channels for new digital photograph processing software.

Ist ein wenig ruhiger um hpi geworden. Wer weiß genaueres? Sieht mir aber verdammt nach guten Einstiegskursen aus. Was meint ihr, noch weiter nach unten?

laut finanz und wirtschaft (führende schweizer finanz-wochenzeitschrift) sollte sich der anleger an kursen um 1400-1600 (aus dem gedächtnis) orientieren. in einer ihrer letzten (3-5) ausgaben wurde die firma besprochen und für zu teuer befunden (woher kommt das kgv von 17???). tut mir leid das ich die quelle nicht genauer angeben kann. ausserdem kann man bei der ubs ein handbuch der börsenkotierten schweizer unternehmen anfordern, darin schneidet hpi in sachen investor relations und transparenz nicht besonders gut ab. leider war der ideale einstiegszeitpunkt wohl der oktober 1999.... (seit dem ca. 500%, für schweizer verhältnisse eine börsenunmöglichkeit, nicht für calvinisten) das chancen- risiko- verhältnis ist zumindest abenteuerlich
