      Hallo Leute,

4 Euro. Aber seht selbst, vielleicht kann ja jemand mal was Kompetentes beisteuern.

      Grüße aus dem Osten.

      About NCD Products

NCD Thin Clients are designed from the ground up to enhance Citrix MetaFrame and
provide customers with easy-to-administer access to centrally-controlled
applications: The NCD ThinSTAR family is made up of Windows-based Terminals
(WBTs) that provide cost-effective access to Windows applications residing on
multi-user network- based Windows NT and Windows 2000 application servers. The
NCD ThinSTAR family provides the enterprise user with the easiest to install,
administer and use desktop devices available.

The Network Terminals family offers two lines of non-Microsoft-based devices: -
The NCD Explora is the industry`s leading X-Windows Terminal and is targeted at
UNIX customers. The NCD Explora Family provides easy, reliable and secure access
to Windows, UNIX and Legacy applications over enterprise networks.

-- The NCD NC (network computer) offers the low total cost of ownership

      About Citrix ICA

With more than 24 million users worldwide and 6 million concurrent user licenses
since its introduction in 1995, the Citrix Independent Computing Architecture
(ICA) is an emerging industry standard for server-based computing. Citrix ICA
technology includes a server software component, a network protocol component,
and a client software component. On the server, ICA separates application logic
from the user interface and executes 100% of the application on the server. The
ICA network protocol transports keystrokes, mouse clicks and screen updates over
standard protocols to the client, typically consuming less than 5
kilobits-per-second of network bandwidth. On the client, users see and work only
      with the application`s interface.

About the Citrix Business Alliance Program

The Citrix Business Alliance Program is a growing coalition of industry-leading
companies from across the technology spectrum that are working closely with
Citrix to broaden the scope and effectiveness of server-based enterprise
computing solutions. The program provides members with new revenue
opportunities, enhanced technical support and training, joint marketing
programs, and compatibility testing of vendors` products with Citrix MetaFrame
      application server software.

NCD to Demonstrate World`s Fastest Thin Client At Citrix iForum; NCD`s NC900 Uses Innovative Techniques to Deliver Superior ICA Performance
      TUESDAY, OCTOBER 03, 2000 11:56 AM
      - BusinessWire

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct 3, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Network Computing Devices, Inc., (Nasdaq:NCDI) today announced that it will be demonstrating what it believes to be the world`s fastest thin client, at Citrix iForum in Orlando, FL, this week.

NCD has a five-year investment in the acceleration of the ICA protocol to deliver the most powerful implementation of the ICA architecture in a thin client environment. The NC900 combines a high-performance hardware design with advanced caching techniques, as well as minimal operating system overhead between the ICA code and the hardware. The NC900 delivers a Wintach score of 140, based on a 1024X768 resolution, which is more than twice the level of most thin clients.

The NC900 Series Business Network Computer combines the best of evolutionary and revolutionary technologies. The NC900 is a practically risk-free, proven solution that is also the first and only thin client designed to display 8-bit and 24-bit applications simultaneously, which avoids problems such as color flashing when switching between applications.

"We are pleased to be showing attendees at iForum how our experience with the ICA protocol gives us a big performance advantage," said David Perry, director worldwide marketing for NCD. "This enables us to deliver the richest experience of the ICA architecture to our enterprise thin client customers."

"Citrix is pleased to work with partners such as NCD who are committed to delivering the advantages of the ICA architecture," said Dave Weiss, vice president of marketing at Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS). "Desktop performance is a key feature for many companies looking at server-centric computing, and NCD`s efforts in this area are most welcome."

      About the NC900
Unique to the marketplace, the NC900 combines the best of both evolutionary and revolutionary technology to provide outstanding thin client price-to-performance ratio:

Evolutionary -- Unlike other competitive thin clients, the NC900 offers a proven solution that has evolved during the past 10 years, from a company that boasts an installed base of over one million thin clients worldwide. The NC900 meets the traditional requirements for an NC but is faster, with an increased memory capacity and more color functionality.

Revolutionary -- The NC900 is the first and only thin client designed to optimally use a browser for color presentation. With NCD-proprietary Simultiple Color(TM), the NC900 allows either a local or host-based Netscape Navigator browser to be displayed in 24-bit color while 8-bit color applications are simultaneously displayed on the same screen. Simultiple Color displays browser images with accurate 24-bit color fidelity without interfering with other 8-bit color applications.

      About NCD Thin Clients
NCD thin client devices enhance Citrix MetaFrame(TM) and provide customers with easy-to-administer access to centrally-controlled applications:

The NCD ThinSTAR family is made up of Windows-based Terminals (WBTs) that provide cost-effective access to Windows applications residing on multi-user network-based Windows NT and Windows 2000 application servers. The NCD ThinSTAR family provides the enterprise user with the easiest to install, administer and use desktop devices available.

The Network Terminals family offers two lines of non-Microsoft-based devices. The NCD Explora is the industry`s leading X-Windows Terminal and is targeted at UNIX customers. The NCD Explora Family provides easy, reliable and secure access to Windows, UNIX and Legacy applications over enterprise networks.

The NCD NC (network computer) offers the low total cost of ownership associated with thin clients as well as the benefit of an industry-leading local browser, the Netscape Navigator Web browser, and support for high performance streaming video.

With over 1 million thin clients installed worldwide, NCD is the leader in thin client design and provides an ideal counterpart to Citrix product offerings.

      About NCD ThinPATH Manager Software
NCD ThinPATH Manager is a comprehensive set of tools that enables the remote configuration and administration of NCD ThinSTAR Windows-based Terminals from a central location. NCD ThinPATH Manager is designed to offer customers a variety of methods to manage their terminals: with SNMP, through a web browser or through a file on an NT server.

NCD ThinPATH Manager enables the configuration and administration of one to thousands of terminals from a central location. To achieve total cost of ownership savings associated with thin clients and the server-based computing model, centralized remote management is essential.
