The Company reported a net loss of $3,524,000 or $0.15 per share, for the fourth
quarter ended December 31, 2001, compared to a net loss of $6,260,000, or $0.30
per share, for the fourth quarter of 2000. For the fiscal year ended December
31, 2001, the Company reported a net loss of $3,446,000 or $0.15 per share
applicable to common shareholders before deemed dividends, as compared to a net
loss of $11,125,000 or $0.57 per share, for the 2000 fiscal year. The net loss
after deemed dividends for fiscal year 2001 is $4,190,000 or $0.19 per share
applicable to common shareholders, as compared to a net loss of $11,606,000 or
$0.58 per share, for the 2000 fiscal year. Total revenue for 2001 was $805,000,
compared with $74,000 in 2000. Revenue for 2001 was from grants and assignment
of rights to technology, while revenue for 2000 was from collaborative

The decrease in net loss from 2000 to 2001 was attributed primarily to a
realized gain on the sale of StemCells` remaining holdings in Modex
Therapeutics, offset by an increase in operating expenses due to the expansion

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- StemCells Inc. (STEM) filed to sell up to 15 million shares of common stock from time to time under a shelf registration statement filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company said it intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, including working capital, product development and capital expenditures.
Currently, the shares have an estimated value of $37.8 million, according to the filing. Shares of StemCells closed Thursday at $2.66, up 1 cent.

WASHINGTON, March 8 (Reuters) - Biotechnology firm StemCells Inc. (STEM) filed on Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission to periodically sell up to 15 million common shares currently worth $40 million.
The Palo Alto, California-based company plans to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including working capital, product development and capital expenditures, it said in the shelf filing.
Under such a filing, a company may sell securities from time to time in one or more separate offerings in amounts, at prices and on terms to be determined at the time of sale.

Sorry, und was bedeutet dies nun? Nachdem § 2,50 nicht ge-
halten hat, füchte ich, dass Stemcells bis § 2,00 fällt.

Wir stehen bestimmt vor der Bekanntgabe von guten New`s und
es gibt sicher auch neue Investoren, welche entsprechende
Aktienpakete übernehmen werden. Ist nur meine Vermutung,
macht aber aus Sicht des Unternehmens Sinn. Die Bekanntgabe
des Verkaufs der 15 Millionen Aktien nach entsprechenden Nachrichten würde die Kursimpulse gleich wieder kaputt machen.
Ich werde bei der derzeitigen Unsicherheit bei Kursschwäche weiter einsammeln.
es gibt sicher auch neue Investoren, welche entsprechende
Aktienpakete übernehmen werden. Ist nur meine Vermutung,
macht aber aus Sicht des Unternehmens Sinn. Die Bekanntgabe
des Verkaufs der 15 Millionen Aktien nach entsprechenden Nachrichten würde die Kursimpulse gleich wieder kaputt machen.

Endlich! Nach über 4 Monaten wurde mein Kauflimit bei 2$ ausgeführt. Jetzt kann ich nur hoffen, das die Unterstützung auch hält.
