Guten Tag,

Good luck

derzeit insgesamt sehr starkem Goldmarkt.

Guten Morgen,

A World Class Junior Mining Company With Gold And
5/15/02
VANNESSA VENTURES LTD. ("VVV-V") - A World-Class Junior Mining Company With Gold And - Diamond Properties
Gold is up $40 an ounce from one year ago. Major mining firms around the globe are merging, and the smart ones are rationalizing their business units to prepare for gold`s next upswing. The upshot for the junior mining sector is that companies with compelling assets are looking more attractive than at any point in the last five years.
With its first mining operation nearly underway in Guyana, Vannessa Ventures is breaking out from the junior-mining pack and is now developing a new following as a mid-range producer of both diamonds and gold. Accordingly, the markets are re-evaluating Vannessa`s prospects in a more positive light. The company`s stock has doubled in the last four months.
Two of Vannessa`s projects are now in advanced stages. These include the Potaro alluvial diamond/gold project in Guyana, where construction has been completed on a planned 4000m3 per day mining operation and limited production is currently underway, and the Crucitas Gold Project in Costa Rica, which contains 2.4 million ounces of gold. A third property, the Las Cristinas Gold Project in Venezuela, contains reserves of 11.8 million ounces of gold, which the previous owner, Placer Dome, had planned to produce at an average rate of 450,000 ounces per year. The company is confident that outstanding contractual issues surrounding Las Cristinas will be successfully resolved and has plans in place to commission a 5,000 to 7,000 (100,000 ounces per year) ton per day operation.
Crucitas should soon take Vannessa into the ranks of serious gold producers. It has been called "the roost significant gold discovery in Central America in the past decade." Placer Dome developed Crucitas to its present advanced status at a cost of US$32 million. With the exploitation permit for Crucitas now in hand, prospects for Vannessa`s near-term success are greatly enhanced.

CHANCE MIT AM GOLD- UND DIAMANTENBOOM ZU PROFITIEREN
Goldaktie mit interessantem Potential
Sehr geehrte Anleger!

That`s all and so what!

Monday, May 27, 2002
COMPANHIA VALE DO RIO DOCE (CVRD) and VANNESSA VENTURES LTD
Vancouver-based junior Vannessa Ventures has no plans to invest or carry out any further work in Venezuela until the Las Cristinas dispute is settled, COO and president of Minera Las Cristinas (Minca), Eric Rauguth, has told BNAmericas.com. Vannessa ceased exploration and development activities at all of its Venezuelan properties last November when the government stepped in and the National Guard forced the company`s officials off the 12 milion ounce gold property in southeast Venezuela`s Bolivar state. The junior is continuing legal proceedings in Venezuela over the federal government`s decision to revoke the Las Cristinas concessions and dissolve the Minca joint venture between the company and state heavy industries holding CVG. Vannessa also wants a court order forcing CVG to take the dispute to arbitration

HARMONY GOLD MINING CO. LTD. -12,4%
GOLD FIELDS LTD. SHARES (SPONS. -15,92%
COEUR D`ALENE MINES CORP. -14,1%
ANGLOGOLD LTD. SHARES -6,72%

I think the reason for the sell off are the following
1. We will see annother financing comming in soon
2. The merger talks are postponed or discontinued
3. The Amex listing is postponed
4. The promoters of this stock went away to a different storry
5. Mining and Gold is now fashionable. You should see some of nab`s promoters in the mining sector.

Guten Morgen
@Miura
5. Mining and Gold is now fashionable. You should see some of nab`s promoters in the mining sector.

The open-pit-mining decree clearly was aimed at Vannessa, which would use cyanide to leach gold from truckloads of rocks. Some opponents fear that the nearby San Juan River would be polluted by the process.

VANNESSA`S CRUCITAS (COSTA RICA) PROJECT SECURE
June 7, 2002
Costa Rica - Vannessa Ventures (VVV:TSX, OTC-BB: VNVNF, Berlin: VVT - WKN
914781) wishes to clarify some of the information distributed by the media,
which, in the Company`s opinion, omitted important parts of the publications
and to some degree wrongfully interpreted others. Government officials
issued two statements, one being a proposed Law to prohibit large open pit
mining projects, and an Executive Decree for a Moratorium on open pit
mining. The proposed Bill will have to go through all the legislative
processes regulated by the Constitution of Costa Rica before it becomes Law.
This proposed Law seeks to deal with new exploration and exploitation
projects and will not affect projects approved prior to the Law coming into
effect since this would conflict with the Constitution of Costa Rica which
does not allow retroactive effects against existing rights.
The Executive Decree refers to new exploration and exploitation projects and
states that rights legally acquired prior to the publication will be
respected. Vannessa`s local management and legal advisors are therefore
confident that, while some of its exploration concessions in Costa Rica
might be subject to review, the Crucitas project will not be affected by the
Decree and the proposed Law issued by the Presidency and the Ministry of
Environment and Energy.
The Company recognizes and respects the Government of Costa Rica`s desire to
find amiable solutions to existing mining projects as mentioned in the
proposed Law. The Crucitas project however is in a remote region and with
great social and economical benefits to Costa Rica and the small communities
nearby. It has been planned to operate environmentally benign, followed by
full reclamation and restoration of the site. Currently, the Company is
developing a program whereby areas that have been previously affected nearby
by other activities will be reforested for the benefit of all, and is
developing a joint Company/Government program to train and guide local
authorities in the establishment of environmental controls.
Management is also in Costa Rica and is currently meeting with Government
Officials. The Company will report further on this matter early next week.

Vannessa Ventures Update on Crucitas (Costa Rica)
===========================================================================
Vancouver - Vannessa Ventures Ltd. (VVV: TSX, OTC-BB: VNVNF, Berlin: VVT -
WKN 914781) wishes to announce that, further to the Company`s news release
of June 7, 2002, information received from Vannessa`s subsidiary
(Industrias Infinito, S.A.) in Costa Rica confirms that the Government will
recognize existing rights for legal reasons and will not consider
multi-million dollar buy-outs for financial reasons.
Vannessa is confident that it can work with the Government of Costa Rica to
build an operation which will fully address the country`s two major
concerns: forest and the use of cyanide.
With respect to cyanide, it is well known that it occurs naturally (in
plants, vegetables, fruits, etc.) and is widely used in manufacturing
ranging from textiles to food supplements and pharmaceuticals. In the
mining sector, the use of cyanide is far reaching. Over 90% of the gold
production in Canada is based on the use of cyanidation processes. The key
is to do so carefully, responsibly and to make compliance with regulations
transparent. Infinito will do this by incorporating a monitoring system,
which includes personnel from the Company as well as representatives from
Government, local communities and environmental interest groups.
With respect to the protection of forests, the area affected by Infinito`s
proposed mining plan has no virgin forest, is two thirds bare and has a
mixture of economic and non-economic growth on the rest of the property.
This area is subject to an inventory study currently in progress. The total
project area was previously deforested by local farmers. The environmental
plan - submitted already several months ago and not as a result of the
latest government announcements - includes a commitment to not only
reforest an area three to four times as large as the one affected by the
company`s mining plan, but also includes plans to foster secondary
industries in this region which needs social and economic development.
Infinito has consistently shown concern for Costa Rica`s interests and has
actively demonstrated responsible resource management. During the
exploration period alone, over twenty thousand trees were planted in the
area despite there being no Government requirement to do so. In addition,
ninety-six hectares of land were purchased and donated to the Government.
The processing system itself will be closed circuit and will be limited to
only a small amount of the total material processed since a large portion
of the gold will be recovered by gravity. This will reduce the need for
cyanidation and will considerably limit any risks. A cyanide destruction
circuit, using the well-known and proven INCO SO²/air technology, will be
incorporated. This technology meets all local and international
environmental standards.
The Company will work diligently to support the Government`s goal to
protect the environment and at the same time, safeguard the tremendous
potential economic benefit for the country and its people.

Vannessa Ventures Update on Las Cristinas Arbitration Process
===========================================================================
Vancouver - Vannessa Ventures Ltd. (VVV: TSX, OTC-BB: VNVNF, Berlin: VVT -
WKN 914781) wishes to announce that its subsidiary company in Venezuela
(Minca) has formerly filed requests for arbitration in its dispute with the
CVG over the Las Cristinas project. The Supreme Court of Venezuela has
accepted the request and is expected to give its instructions with respect
to the arbitration process to be followed.
Minca feels confident that a transparent arbitration process will uphold
Minca`s rights and will prove that the many statements made by the CVG in
its public relations campaign are either incorrect or reported
misleadingly. The arbitration process will force the CVG to submit its
statements to the test of the law and if all the public statements it made
are correct, it should not be adverse to follow its contractual (and
constitutional) obligation to arbitration, as confirmed by the Supreme
Court ruling of March 19, 2002 and reported in our news release of March
21, 2002.
As a further step to safeguard its rights, Vannessa Ventures Ltd. has
formally initiated the process of international arbitration against the
State of Venezuela, under the Foreign Investment Protection Agreement
(FIPA) signed by Venezuela and Canada.

Report to Shareholders - June 2002
===========================================================================
Dear Shareholders,
Over the last two weeks our shares have seen a dramatic decline in value,
based on just one newspaper report out of Costa Rica announcing a
moratorium on open pit mining. The negative effect was not caused by what
the paper reported, but what the journalist omitted. The fact is that the
government has stated quite clearly that:
a) existing rights will be respected.
b) compensation will be paid where rights are affected.
As late as June 14, 2002 the Costa Rica Minister of Environment and Mines
stated: Quote: "It has to be stressed that we respect the rule of law, we
are respectful of legal rights and if this implies compensation, we would
undertake the corresponding procedures to pay it".
What does this all mean to Vannessa Ventures Ltd.?
It means that the potential is still there: either the mine will be
developed or the company will be compensated. It is not difficult to put
numbers to the equation. The current plan calls for production of 100,000
oz/gold per year at a total cost (operational and capital) of US$170.00/oz
over the next 7 years. At today`s gold price ($320.00/oz) this represents
yearly potential profits of approximately US$15 Mill or US$105,000,000 for
the seven-year period or US$2.18 (CAN$3.32) per share.
This is just the potential profit from the proposed reduced operation.
Going one step further - because Costa Rica`s constitu-tional principal of
law protects private property (such as concessions with proven reserves) -
the existing feasibility study for the total deposit is set at $1.941 Mill
oz of gold, a grand value at current gold prices of $620 Mill (CAN$942
Mill) or US$12.90 per share (CAN$19.60/share).
We do not suggest that the Government would or could compensate the company
for the loss of its assets but we do believe that it is not very likely
that any Government would forgo the social and economic benefits of a
business opportunity of this magnitude.
In Venezuela, Minca is steadily defending its right to the Las Cristinas
deposit. The CVG on the other hand is pursuing its public relations
campaign rather than dealing with Minca in a business like manner. In their
haste to produce negative information about Minca, many of their comments
are incorrect. A good example is their press release of June 24, 2002. The
following is our explanation and statement of facts with respect to the
arbitration process:
The statements made by General Francisco Rangel Gomez in The Corporacion
Venezolana De Guyana (CVG) news release dated June 24, 2002 seem to
indicate that he either does not read, or is being given inaccurate Spanish
translations of, the news releases made by Vannessa Ventures Ltd.
1. General Rangel Gomez denies that the Venezuelan Supreme Court had
ordered an international arbitration proceeding. Vannessa has never claimed
that the Venezuelan Supreme Court ordered the international arbitration but
on June 16, 2002, in its news release, Vannessa stated that it "has
formally initiated the process of international arbitration against the
State of Venezuela, under the Foreign Investment Protection Agreement
(FIPA) signed by Venezuela and Canada." This is an arbitration process
between the two countries (Venezuela and Canada) and does not involve the
Supreme Court in Venezuela and Vannessa has never stated so.
2. In reference to Vannessa`s June 16, 2002 news release, General Rangel
Gomez states that the Supreme Court never approved any decision to
arbitrate. Vannessa has never stated that "the court has approved any
decision to arbitrate", but has quite clearly indicated that the Supreme
Court ruling of March 19, 2002 advised Vannessa that the company did not
require constitutional protection under Venezuelan law because quote: "by
common accord, the parties (Minca and CVG) established contractually that
the mechanisms to resolve disagreements, would be first in amicable fashion
and failing that, by arbitration. Such mechanisms are constitutionally
ratified under article 258 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic
of Venezuela."
3. General Rangel Gomez again refers to international arbitration "because
no such Supreme Court decision exists regarding this matter." Vannessa has,
of course, never made any such claim - only General Rangel Gomez has
mistakenly connected the Supreme Court to International Arbitration (see
Note 1).
4. General Rangel Gomez states, "the legal decisions made by the Venezuelan
Government do not constitute in any way a violation of the Agreement
regarding the Protection of Foreign Investments signed by both Venezuela
and Canada." This is the opinion of General Rangel Gomez; however, since no
hearings under the Foreign Investment Protection Agreement (FIPA) have been
held, the outcome cannot be known at this time.
To further clarify the issues, we have to differentiate between the two
arbitration processes:
1. arbitration between CVG and MINCA based on their contractual obligations
(involving the two parties in Venezuela and the Venezuelan Courts).
2. international arbitration which does not involve any Court in Venezuela
but is governed by the Foreign Investment Protection Agreement (FIPA) and
must be resolved between Canada and Venezuela directly.

VANNESSA REBUTS CVG ACCUSATIONS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VANCOUVER, B.C. - Vannessa Ventures Ltd. wishes to respond to a recent press release issued by Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana (CVG) through Canada NewsWire on July 24, 2002. The release, written and distributed out of Miami and paid for by unknown entities, was based largely on a fictitious report allegedly produced by a government committee. (The release has since been pulled off Canada NewsWire`s web site because Imago Communications, the firm that has been representing CVG, refused to disclose the party that authorized the release.)
Instead of engaging in a direct dialogue with stakeholders involved in the Las Cristinas deposit, namely Vannessa and the Company`s 95% owned Minera Las Cristinas (MINCA), CVG and certain parties have chosen to wage a campaign of misinformation aimed at discrediting Vannessa with the Venezuelan people and the international mining and exploration community at large.
This latest attempt by CVG and other interested parties, which have been unable to achieve their goals by legal means, is an unnecessary and deplorable escalation of the dispute, the very antithesis of building trust and honoring rights so essential to the effective and speedy development of Las Cristinas.
The allegations raised in the release are patently obvious to anyone familiar with the historical development of the Las Cristinas project. Not responding will confuse Company`s stakeholders and interested parties who are unfamiliar with the dispute and encourage more mudslinging from CVG and its associates.
ON THE FAILURE OF CVG TO EARN $500 MILLION FROM LAS CRISTINAS
Considering the time-consuming and drawn out nature of proving any mineral discovery economic, CVG`s $500 million statement is hyperbolic. MINCA only entered into an agreement with CVG to carry out exploration, development and exploitation of alluvial and vein deposits of gold and diamonds at Las Cristinas in 1992.
It was not until the spring of 1997 that a feasibility study was completed and all licenses for the development were issued by the Venezuelan government. During that period, well over US $100 million was spent on exploration, drilling, and commissioning the feasibility study.
Shortly after that date, a court case initiated by Crystallex International Corp. delayed the startup of construction until Crystallex`s claim was rejected by the Supreme Court of Venezuela in June 1998. By that time, the price of gold had fallen to $250. Subsequently, MINCA`s Board of Directors, including two directors representing CVG, approved the suspension of mine construction.
Also, considering a construction period of two to three years for a project of that magnitude, the earliest date for production would have been 2001. How CVG, with only five per cent equity interest, could have earned US$500 million in a possible one-year operation is anybody`s guess.
MINCA has a three-phase plan that would have seen the Las Cristinas project activated immediately and subsequently developed in stages as dictated by the economics of the project and the gold price.
ON VANNESSA`S "CONTINUING LOSSES AND ACCUMULATED DEFICIT"
CVG`s press release states that Vannessa is carrying a deficit of CDN $11 million "which reflects irregular financial situation that does not inspire confidence."
It`s true Vannessa had an accumulated deficit of $11 million as at March 30, 2001. However, more than half of that amount, $6.5 million, is completely unrelated to Vannessa`s activities and was carried over from an inactive shell company Vannessa took over when it went public in 1996.
It is normal for an exploration company to incur deficits during property investigations and exploration and to write off those costs when properties turn out to be uneconomic. Such losses, however, are often more than offset by mineral discoveries or advances made in moving a mineral deposit closer toward production as evidenced by Vannessa`s success in bringing Guyana`s first alluvial diamond mine into production and advancing Costa Rica`s Cerro Crucitas project to the environmental permitting stage, one step short from production.
ON INVESTIGATIONS ABOUT VANNESSA`S FINANCIAL CONDITIONS UNDERTAKEN BY THE VANCOUVER STOCK EXCHANGE
The release mentioned a report commissioned by the Venezuelan government that is based on the "findings of a thorough investigation undertaken at the Vancouver Stock Exchange" regarding Vannessa`s financial performance.
This is completely false. There has never been an investigation to begin with. Furthermore, the Vancouver Stock Exchange no longer exists.
ON VANNESSA`S "LACK OF FINANCIAL STRENGTH"
Vannessa`s diverse geographic reach, focus on operational excellence and strong financial conditions have enabled it to extract maximum value from distressed projects that became available in the last several years.
Las Cristinas was no exception. Upon taking over the project from Placer Dome, Vannessa had a plan in place to put Las Cristinas into production in staged development. At the time, the Company had a US $50 million line of credit to back up its plan. CVG never gave MINCA an opportunity to implement its plans and, by seizing the property, put hundreds of people out of work.
Regarding the Company`s Cerro Crucitas` project in Costa Rica, the Company has an indicative letter of financing from a large financial institution to fund the project`s US $28 million costs.
Vannessa`s Maple Creek alluvial diamond mine is now operating. The project is fully funded and is moving forward from a position of strength.
Vannessa`s projects may experience unexpected delays from time to time due to factors beyond its control - and such challenges are to be expected -- but overall, the Company remains on track to achieving its goals and objectives.
ON VANNESSA`S CONFLICTS WITH THE COSTA RICAN GOVERNMENT
The Company has no conflicts in Costa Rica. Review of Vannessa`s Environmental Impact Statement is ongoing. There is no legal challenge to Vannessa`s Cerro Crucitas project or any other projects, only an understandable desire by the Costa Rican government to protect the environment, a commendable goal shared by Vannessa.
ON A "GOVERNMENT REPORT" CONCERNING LAS CRISTINAS
MINCA, its legal representatives, journalists and shareholders who have tried to obtain the report have been unable to do so. According to the Secretariat of the Venezuelan government, no such report is known or available for distribution.
A report by the "sub-Committee on Foreign Affairs" has been quoted in one Venezuelan newspaper; however it turned out to be a "paid advertisement" placed by the same Miami agency and not identified as a "paid advertising" item at the time of publication. MINCA is currently taking legal steps with respect to the fictitious placements.
ON ALLEGATIONS THAT VANNESSA ATTEMPTS TO INFLUENCE THE GLOBAL PRICE OF GOLD THROUGH ITS EXTENSIVE PROPERTY HOLDINGS
No comment.
SUMMARY
CVG`s continuing refusal to engage in a dialogue with MINCA has set back the development of Las Cristinas and impaired the social and economic development of communities in the region.
CVG`s unlawful seizure of the mine site set a bad national precedent and risks scaring off much needed foreign investment which Venezuela requires to alleviate social and economic problems. More than the ownership of Las Cristinas is at stake: Venezuela`s very own legal foundation and a sense of order which encourages individuals and businesses to plan for the future and to make rational decisions are also at risk.
This CVG-initiated dispute may look like a domestic squabble, but the outcome will have broad international impact. CVG`s action must be reversed soon before the fallout from its action deters foreign investment and does serious damage to Venezuela`s exploration and mining industry.
The protection of foreign investment and the need for fair due judicial process are issues basic to all civil societies. Any working, or aspiring, democracy has to decide how to make room for fundamental rights of foreign businesses operating legitimately within the bounds of national laws. Vannessa is confident that in the end justice will prevail and that MINCA`s rightful ownership of Las Cristinas will be confirmed by the court.
