Nach Meinung von Analysten sind die Aktien von Wackenhut ungerechtfertigt unter Druck geraten nachdem bei einer Gefangenenrevolte in einer von Wackenhut betriebenen Strafvollzugseinrichtung ein Wärter ums Leben gekommen ist.

In reviewing Wackenhut`s recent financial performance, Forbes recognized the company`s 14.7 percent return on capital and 32.4 percent increase in sales during the previous twelve months, and a five-year average increase in net income of 43.1 percent.
The Forbes issue said it began its search for the Platinum 400 with a database of 1,600 companies with sales of at least $750 million. Wackenhut`s revenues during its most recently reported twelve-month period was $2.1 billion.
