Daß die bei dem, was sich bei den Biotechwerten derzeit abspielt, so stabil bleiben, spricht für die Aktie.

(Infocast News) A source from the securities sector stated that SIIC Medical Science and Technology (8018) (SIIC Med) has entered into a letter of intent of investment with a Shanghai registered company called Shanghai Intertele Medicine Net System for the development of e-medical business in the PRC which will also be a kind of online medical development of the joint venture formed with US Cyber-care, as quoted from Hong Kong Economic Times.

SIIC Med also plans to set up a joint venture with the biggest medical corporation in the PRC to launch online e-commerce business.

According to the report of Warburg Dillon Read quoted by the article, it is predicted that the sales network and the related system of the joint venture formed by SIIC Med and US Cyber-care will be established in 6 months and e-commerce in the year-end. Warburg sets the target price per share of SIIC Med at $4.3.

scheint wohl ne zeitbombe zu sein und jemand hat den Zünder zu lang eingestellt, bisher hat sich jedenfalls keiner für die Nachricht und unsere SIIC interessiert

Wer sagts denn ! Endlich mal eine gute Nachricht für leidgeprüfte SIIC-Aktionäre. Jetzt könnte doch mal Bewegung in die Sache kommen. der Gewinn ist um 19% höher ausgefallen als erwartet.

erklärbar, daß SIIC in HK mit -1,18 % schloß.

Neu Meldung von SIIC:
18:54 SIIC MedTech (8018) needs to raise fund this year
(Infocast News) Zhuo Fu-min, Chairman of SIIC MedTech (8018), underlined that the fund raised from IPO was insufficient for future expansion, therefore the company will raise fund soon. He explained that since the company will increase its market share by future merger and acquisition, thus needs substantial fund.

Moreover, he said that the company plans to acquire projects such as pharmaceutical producers, science research projects, and will acquire mature projects through its venture capital. He does not rule out to cooperate with other companies on shares swap arrangement. He added that the company is in talks with several producers on investments which are not settled yet.

Ùnd noch was hinterher:HONG KONG, March 20 (Reuters) - Chinese medicine maker SIIC Medical Science and Technology (Group) Ltd on Monday unveiled plans to push its products overseas, including a marketing strategy on the Internet.

The group, which announced a net profit of HK$24.36 million for the period September 17 to December 31, 1999, said consumer interest for its natural drugs was particularly keen in Europe.

"Many European companies are interested in our products," chairman Zhuo Fu Min told a news conference, adding that interest was especially strong in Britain, Germany and France for products like diet pills using natural ingredients.

"Some companies want to have sole distribution rights, but we have to study that," he said. Last week the company signed a deal for a 20 percent stake in Shanghai Medical Information Ltd, one of a few mainland Chinese companies approved by Beijing to market products on a business-to-business basis on the Internet, Zhuo said. SIIC will pay 12 million yuan for the stake in cash. Looking ahead, Zhuo said the company would develop medicines to delay the ageing process, as well as one to fight cancer.

Illustrating the powers of a pill to fight ageing, developed by the company`s subsidiary Hangzhou Qingchunbao, Zhuo said it had kept a panda in a Hangzhou zoo in the pink of health.

"The panda, at 29 years of age, is still jumping around.
