Bayswater Discovers Large Potential Uranium Source in Labrador
Wednesday November 8, 8:15 am ET


VANCOUVER, BC--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 8, 2006 -- Bayswater Uranium Corporation (TSX VENTURE:BAY.V - News) is pleased to report the discovery of bedrock uranium mineralization at the north eastern end of its 20-kilometre-long Stomach Lake radioactive boulder train. This new discovery area probably represents the main source of the boulder train, which has returned grab sample assay results as high as 0.232% U3O8. In addition, the Company has extended the Stipec River Trend of uranium bedrock discoveries 4 kilometres to the northeast by discovery of a fifth zone (Stipec River Zone E) that is similar to Stipec River Zone A as previously reported. The Company now has 12 uranium prospects/targets and 1 light rare earth element mineralized area of interest within its extensive Labrador land holdings.
This winter, the Company plans on carrying out ground EM surveying over the Stipec River, Anna Lake, Ghost Lake and other radiometric targets to assist in further defining drill targets. Also, following a thorough review and interpretation of all results from its 2006 field program which is currently underway, the Company is planning additional follow-up prospecting of numerous radiometric targets and on a number of its uranium prospects next summer in order to define additional drill targets. Additional assay results are still pending from this summers work. Based on the need for this additional work to complete drill targeting, the Company has deferred the start of reconnaissance drilling until March/April of 2007.

Highlights of recent results from the Company's Labrador Uranium Program are as follows:

Stomach Lake Zone A Prospect:

A radioactive felsic pegmatite dyke swarm emplaced into banded gneissic rocks has been identified in bedrock associated with a topographic high at the northeast end of the large radiometric anomaly outlined in the airborne radiometric survey. Individual dykes have been noted up to 50 meters in width. This potential bedrock source area correlates with the majority of radioactive boulders in the extensive Stomach Lake radioactive boulder train. It consists of an exposed series of dyke swarms across several hundred metres in width that can be traced for up to 300 m along strike. Scintillometer readings on boulders of this granitic material within the train and from exposed dykes range from 1000 to 13,000 counts per second with handheld spectrometer readings ranging from 0.04% to 0.15% U. Grab samples taken from float within the boulder train typically grade 0.061% to 0.232% U3O8. Assay results from samples collected on the outcrop source area are pending and expected shortly. This Rossing type target warrants further detailed work and drill testing.

Dandy Prospect:

Results from 75 m of cumulative channel samples over an area measuring about 500 sq m taken across the strike of this radioactive granitic dyke swarm assayed in the range of 0.02% to 0.04% U3O8 across local radioactive zones up to a few metres wide. These mineralized zones commonly have associated anomalous contents of light rare earth elements and gold. Several grab samples from outcrop in the area of channel sampling and elsewhere nearby within the dyke swarm indicate locally higher grades with assay values ranging from 0.02% to 0.178% U3O8. These results compare favourably with the grade of the Rossing deposit in Namibia. The Dandy prospect is part of a 6 km long radioactive alaskitic dyke swarm that offers potential for a bulk tonnage deposit. The Kanairiktok Bay prospect, previously described in news release dated October 2, 2006, occurs within this dyke swarm to the southeast of the Dandy Prospect. Both of these targets warrant further follow-up work and drill testing.

Stipec River Zone E Prospect:

The Stipec River Zone E prospect was identified late in the field season and warrants detailed follow-up work. This prospect occurs about 4-km northeast of the Stipec River Zone A Prospect and is very similar in nature to it. It consists of highly radioactive, sulphidic and graphitic sheared sediments located in a gossanous zone previously identified by Noranda. The mineralized zone can be traced for about 60 m and averages 2 m to 3 m in width. It is associated with a moderate-strong airborne EM conductor identified from previous Noranda work that extends the zone along strike. Assay results from a limited number of grab samples taken from the zone are pending. This target warrants drill testing.

Stipec River Zone D Prospect:

Results from grab samples taken from this 2 to 5 m wide continuously mineralized radioactive sandstone unit that has been traced for about 200 m along strike returned best assay results of 0.04% U3O8. Field mapping indicates that mineralization may occur in multiple sandstone beds and further work is warranted.

Also, the Company reports that it has expanded its land holdings within previously "exempt mineral lands" that came open for staking recently i) at the northeastern end of the historic uranium belt adjacent to land held by Universal Uranium (TSX VENTURE:UUL.V - News), Silver Spruce (TSX VENTURE:SSE.V - News) and Aurora Energy (TSX:AXU.TO - News); and ii) adjacent the southeastern margin of its North Claim Block. This newly staked ground, totaling 494 claims, was acquired in order to cover favourable areas of anomalous uranium in lake sediments. The Company plans airborne surveying and prospecting of these newly acquired lands next summer. The Company's summer and fall prospecting crew has been demobilized due to winter conditions.

About the Labrador Central Mineral Belt

The Central Mineral Belt (CMB) of Labrador, Canada, located approximately 135 kilometres north of Goose Bay, has a long history of uranium and base metals exploration. Uranium was first discovered in the belt in the 1950s. With further exploration in the 1960's and 1970's and rising uranium prices, exploration in the CMB increased significantly and several uranium deposits were discovered including the Kitts, Michelin, Inda, Nash, Rainbow and Moran Lake deposits by Brinco. The Moran Lake deposits were later drilled by Shell Canada Ltd. Currently the Michelin uranium deposit is being developed by Aurora Energy Resources Inc. Crosshair Exploration and Mining is exploring the Moran Lake deposit with an initial NI 43-101 compliant inferred resource of 688,000 lbs U3O8 at a grade of 0.25% U3O8 in the Upper C Zone. Bayswater Uranium is the largest landholder in the CMB with over 4,300 sq km. Aurora controls about 800 sq km and Crosshair approximately 640 sq km.

Bayswater Discovers Twelve Uranium Targets in South Thelon Basin

Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, November 16, 2006 /FSC/ - Bayswater Uranium Corp. (TSX - VX: BAY, FWB: B2V), reports that twelve strong to moderate conductors have been identified on the Thelon UNR and CL Properties located in the South Thelon Basin, NWT, by an extensive airborne electromagnetic (EM) and magnetic survey completed during the summer. Conductors associated with fault structures are key features associated with high-grade unconformity-type uranium deposits such as McArthur River and Cigar Lake in the Athabasca Basin, 350 kilometres south.

The survey consisted of 9,022 line-kilometres of deep penetrating, electromagnetic (EM) and magnetic surveying utilizing Fugro Airborne Surveys' proprietary MEGATEM II system. Most of the Thelon UNR and CL Properties were covered by the survey at 400 metre line spacing. Based on these positive results, follow-up ground geophysical surveys are planned this winter to define 2007 drill targets.

Victor Tanaka, Chief Operating Officer of Bayswater commented, "We are encouraged by the survey results which show that ten of the twelve conductors are located within relatively shallow parts of the basin and two in an area with a Kiggavik-style geologic setting marginal to the basin. Most of the conductors appear to be spatially associated to basement fault structures as interpreted from the magnetic survey."

Thelon UNR Property - Ten Conductors Identified in Favourable Regions

On the 1,363,378 acre Thelon UNR Property in the south Thelon Basin, 7,641 line-kilometres of survey was flown at 400 metre line spacing. Ten conductive responses ranging in strike length from 1 to 3 kilometres were identified in the southeast portion of the survey area on the eastern side of the Thelon Basin. Several other features are still at the interpretive stage to determine their conductivity.

Two of the conductors are in basement rocks marginal to the sandstone basin in similar geologic settings to Cogema's Kiggavik Trend uranium deposits, which are located marginal to the eastern side of the North Thelon Basin. No previous exploration is recorded in the area of the two conductors identified by the survey.

The remaining eight conductors delineated, lie within the basin where depth to the unconformity (target host area for high-grade uranium deposits) is interpreted to be less than 100 metres. Previous work by several companies during the 1969 - 1985 era, in parts of the area surveyed, did not focus on electromagnetic conductors and no drilling is recorded in the assessment files. A number of the conductors detected appear to occur where the regional northeasterly geological structural trend is intersected by prominent east-west magnetic breaks, interpreted to be cross-cutting basement faults.

The Thelon UNR Property is subject to an agreement with Uranium North Resources Corp. whereby Bayswater may earn an 80% interest in the uranium rights of the property.

Thelon CL Property - 8 Kilometre-Long Conductive Trends Delineated Along Major Fault Structure

At Bayswater's 100% owned 98,429 acre Thelon CL property located near the western margin of the south Thelon Basin, 1,381 line-kilometres of survey was flown at 400 metre line spacing. Two parallel conductive trends, each approximately 8 kilometres long, were identified along a segment of the north-northeasterly trending Howard Lake Structural Break that extends northward from the adjacent Boomerang uranium property being explored by Cameco Corporation (TSX: CCO) and Uravan Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: UVN).

In 1981, Gulf Minerals drilled four holes into widely spaced portions of these two conductors, which at the time were not recognized as part of large-scale electromagnetic trends. Two holes did not reach the unconformity and a third drilled to test a magnetic anomaly, intersected an intrusive body; thus the region's prospectiveness for uranium was not determined. Importantly, the fourth hole intersected a sharp radioactive peak of 370 counts per second at the unconformity, which is at a depth of 255 metres. Little significance was attributed to this hole by Gulf despite the fact that the hole was located on the basis of locally elevated radon gas and radioactivity at surface.

The Thelon CL Property covers an accumulation of radioactive sandstone boulders over an area measuring 15 km by 15 km that coincides with a portion of the Howard Lake Structural zone. The CL Property is located between the Thelon UNR property and the Boomerang property.

Interpretation and Exploration Plans

Bayswater geologists interpret the detection of these untested conductors as an important step towards the potential discovery of high-grade unconformity-type uranium deposits such as McArthur River and Cigar Lake in the Athabasca Basin. In the Athabasca Basin, the relationship of conductors at the unconformity along structural breaks in the basement is well established. The Thelon Basin is considered by many geologists to be analogous to the Athabasca Basin, the primary difference being that due its more remote location, the Thelon Basin did not receive the intensity of exploration activity received by the Athabasca Basin during and since the last uranium boom which ended in the in the early 1980's.

Bayswater plans to conduct ground geophysical surveys this winter over the conductors to precisely delineate drill targets for summer 2007 testing. As well, additional MEGATEM II airborne surveys are planned this winter for the balance of Bayswater's extensive landholdings located internally within the South Thelon Basin; whereas, radiometric and magnetic surveys with follow-up prospecting are planned next summer over landholdings marginal to the South Thelon Basin. As previously reported, an extensive follow-up prospecting program and ground geophysics to identify drill targets is planned next summer over airborne radiometric targets identified this year on the Company's landholdings in the North Thelon Basin.

China seeks Canadian uranium for nuclear expansion

BEIJING (Reuters) - China wants to buy Canadian uranium to power a nuclear expansion, Canada's Natural Resources Minister said on Wednesday, just months after Beijing signed a deal with Australia allowing trade in the radioactive fuel.

Gary Lunn said one of China's most senior officials had raised the issue in a bilateral meeting that also covered Chinese investment in Canada and plans for other energy cooperation.

Canada, which has already built two CANDU nuclear power stations for China, is also keen to pick up another generator contract as Beijing aims to quadruple capacity by 2020.

Lunn met with Ma Kai, head of the National Development and Reform (NDRC) super-ministry which deals with energy issues and is also China's top economic planner.

"The NDRC raised the issue (of uranium imports), this was Ma Kai," Lunn told journalists in the Chinese capital.

"We are interested in talking about this but we are also very much interested in building nuclear reactors here in China as well," he added.

Lunn said the two sides had discussed Canadian restrictions on uranium exports but did not go into detail over how China could meet these standards. They agreed that officials in a new joint working group would look into the issue further.

At present, nine nuclear reactors contribute barely two percent of China's power. Beijing aims to raise this to 40 gigawatts, or four percent, over the next 15 years by building 30 new reactors.

But China's own uranium stocks are dwindling, not very rich and difficult to extract.

In April, it signed a nuclear safeguards deal with Australia that set the stage for huge uranium exports, although Resources Minister Ian Macfarlane has said big shipments to China are unlikely to start until 2010.

He said China's predicted uranium consumption was estimated at 20,000 tonnes a year, while Australia currently produced only about 10,000 tonnes a year from its existing three mines, and extra capacity would be needed to supply China.
PIPELINE PLANS

Lunn also ruled out the possibility of government subsidies for a major natural gas pipeline in Canada's Arctic.

A coalition of church, labor and environment groups said in October it would be profitable without the royalty and tax breaks its oil company backers seek.

"Are we going to subsidize the gas pipe? The short answer is no. We believe these are commercial transactions," Lunn said.

"We will do our part to putting in the resources necessary to ensure that the regulatory processes go through as efficiently as possible. These are commercial transactions."

Imperial Oil Ltd. has put on hold its talks with the government on fiscal terms while it reviews its costs and schedule estimates for the 1,200 km (750 mile) pipeline, which had previously been pegged at C$7.5 billion ($6.6 billion).

Mining industry welcomes nuclear energy review
The mining industry has welcomed the review of nuclear energy in Australia, saying the debate so far has been hijacked by misinformation.

Dr Ziggy Switkowski's report found nuclear energy is a practical option and could feed into the electricity grid in a decade.

The Association of Mining and Exploration Companies says 450 reactors provide electricity worldwide and several hundred more will be built soon.

Spokesman Ian Loftus says there needs to be a rational debate about the issue.

"I read in the newspapers and in various other media fairly frequently about the three-eyed fish debates about nuclear power, nuclear power and nuclear waste in people's backyard," Mr Loftus said.

Mr Loftus says the debate in Australia has been hijacked by misinformation.

"Nuclear power always seems to be the classic NIMBY- not in my backyard issue," he said.

"In Australia the debate hasn't really reached the level of maturity that [it] does have in places like Europe.

"Places like France, as I said, have close to 80 per cent of their power generated through nuclear electricity."

Debate

The Australian Uranium Association's executive director, Michael Angwin, has welcomed the report and hopes it leads to more debate about the issue.

"There are many aspects of nuclear fuel cycle about which Australians would like to know more," Mr Angwin said.

"And to that extent the report which Dr Switkowski has released today will be a great contribution to the understanding of the nuclear fuel cycle."

Dr Switkowski's review found uranium production would ease the problem of greenhouse gas emissions but will not meet the challenge on its own and the priority should continue to be on reducing carbon emissions from coal and gas.

At between 20 to 50 per cent more expensive than conventional power, Dr Switkowski says nuclear energy would only be competitive in Australia if there were a recognised cost for greenhouse gas emissions.

The review also found the domestic processing of uranium, including conversion and enrichment, would add a further $1.8 billion to the sector annually.

'Election strategy'

The Queensland Premier, Peter Beattie, says he will carefully study the report, but he remains opposed to nuclear power for Australia.

Mr Beattie is suspicious about the Federal Government's motivation behind the report.

"I think what happened is that the Federal Government has done some research which shows the biggest single issue in the next federal election campaign is climate change, and what they've been doing is conning everyone ever since," Mr Beattie said.

"The whole strategy about this is designed to get re-elected, it's not about energy or climate change."

Natürlich ist ein Kursanstieg was Erfreuliches

Ich habe aber festgestellt, dass Kurssteigerungen in der Explorerszene meistens immer einen Grund haben.
In Regel empfiehlt in Kürze ein BB die Aktie, oder es stehen News an.
Andersrum geht der Kurs ziehmlich schnell in den Keller, wenn die Firma längere Zeit nichts mehr von sich hören lässt!

Möchte dich nicht belehren, aber hast du dir mal angesehen, wie und in welcher Zeit du vom grassroot zum deposit kommst? Offenbar nicht, denn dann würdest du wissen, dass BAY in einem Supergebiet super unterwegs ist.

Derzeit verproben und bebohren sie die aus Flugmessungen gefundenen erwartungsvollsten Gebiete.
Lass die Leute in Ruhe arbeiten, dann wirst du aus dem Staunen nicht rauskommen. Vom grassroot zum deposit dauert es meist zehn Jahre.
Wenn ich wüßte WANN die jeweiligen Zwischergebnisse kommen, würde ich nichts anderes tun als ein paar Tage davor jeweils mein ganzes Geld investieren und dann wieder aussteigen und Däumchen drehen. Das ist aber leider nicht Börse!

Danke nochmals aber ist dies nicht etwas übertrieben 10 Jahre. Sieh doch mal hin ich besitzte diese Aktien der Bayswater vor der zusammenschluss mit Pathfinder. Es sind bereits schon 8 Monate vergangen und der Kurs bewegt sich immer noch seitlich sogar fiel der Kurs auf 0,55 die neueinsteiger die haben soger schon fast Ihre 100 Prozent gemacht und durch die Gewinnmitnahmen kann auch der Kurs sich nicht entwickeln. Ja Du magst wohl recht haben das Bayswater einen hervorragenden Standort hat aber andere haben auch gute Standorte. OK wir haben uns für diese uns entschieden dann hoffen wir halt das beste und möge uns reichlich viel bescheren.

Es ist völlig normal, dass Kurse in der Frühphase sehr volatil sind. Deshalb kaufen Erfahrene auch nicht "im Stück", sondern bauen Positionen langsam auf; das kann heißen, kleine Stückzahlen nach Durchschreiten von Anstiegen wieder verkaufen, kleine Stückzahlen nach Durchschreiten von Einbrüchen zukaufen. Du bekommst so nach einigen deals einen schönen niederen Einstand, hast aber das Risiko einen Ausbruch nur mit dem "long-part" mitzumachen.
Das ganze nennt sich dann Strategie und erfordert viel Disziplin. Zugrunde liegt immer die Annahme, dass sich der Wert a la long erhöht. Davon bin ich bei BAY restlos überzeugt.
Die haben in Kanada riesige Flächen - und das im wahrscheinlich besten Urangebiet der Welt. Stöbere einmal ein wenig in der homepage herum.
Geduld brauchst du bei Explorern immer!

auch Börsenbriefschwätzer sind auf den Wert aufmerksam geworden und schwemmen viele Lemminge, die nicht bereit sind, sich mit den Fundamentaldaten zu beschäftigen, an Land. Das bringt leider Vola, ermöglicht aber auch ganz gute Einstandskurse.

Viele der Diskussionen in den W : O threads könnte man sich sparen, wenn man vor sein posting die Investdauer stellte. Ein daytrader hat komplett andere Strategien wie ein Langzeitinvestierter, was den einen stört, kümmert den anderen überhaupt nicht.

BAY zu bezocken ist natürlich erlaubt und auch sinnvoll, mir ist es jedoch zu mühsam. Ich kaufe bei Einbrüchen zu, hole mir Liquidität nach Ausbrüchen, das alles sagt mir die Limitmail meiner Bank und im übrigen lehne ich mich zurück und harre der Dinge.

Wer geht ne Wette mit mir ein, dass ich heute in einem Jahr wesentlich mehr Buchwert habe als heute?

sei froh - viele Zittrige u. Zocker würden das Bild und den Kurs sehr verfälschen. Ich warte auf die ersten Ergebnisse - wird noch dauern, dann erklimmen wir die nächste Stufe, dann geht es wieder ein wenig hin und her bis die Zittrigen und Zocker wieder weg sind, dann wird es wieder ruhiger usw. usw.

Würde es begrüßen, wenn du mal kurz postest, was du für nen Anlagehorizont hast!

Wenn du morgen reich sein willst, mußt du verkaufen und dir was anderes zulegen (wenn du was gefunden hast, sag es uns).

Wenn du dich geduldest bis die Ergebnisse der ersten Proben und Bohrungen der luftvermessenen stärksten Anomalien da sind, wirst du am Ende lachen.

Exploration vom grass root weg zum Übernahmekandidaten bzw. Produzenten dauert Jahre. Wir bewegen uns IMMER IN STUFEN (solange der Erfolgsweg nicht verlassen wird).

Weißt du was
- radiometrische Untersuchungen sind,
- Probenaufnahme bedeutet
- Bohren heißt
- eine Laborbefundung ist
- eine Ressourcenschätzung ist
- eine Ressourcenbestätigung ist
- eine Ressourcenberechnung ist
- eine erweiterte Ressourcenberechnung ist
- eine Vormachbarkeitsstudie ist
- eine Machbarkeitsstudie ist
- das alles kostet und
- welche Genehmigungen gebraucht werden
- ....

Das alles sind nur primitive Schlagworte in einem komplexen Prozess!
Wir sind bei Punkt 1, Punkt 1, Punkt 1, Punkt 1 !!!!

Wenn du morgen reich sein willst, steig aus, wenn du bis übermorgen Zeit hast, GEDULDE DICH!

Wenn nichts Neues anliegt driftet der Kurs halt mal nach unten. Ist halt so. Ist keine "Deutsche Bank" - da geht es nur aufwärts!

DANN kaufe ich im Abwärtstrend und setze gleich zwei Limite
WENN das untere durchbrochen wird, kauf ich die nächste Tranche, ... wieder 2 Limite ....
Wenn der Kurs vom oberen Mischkurs-Limit rausläuft, verkaufe ich ne Tranche ... usw. usw.

Wenn ich mich nicht vergriffen habe, lerne ich die Firma ziemlich gut kennen, und bewege mich außerdem bald nur mehr im grünen Bereich!

Wünsche dir viel Glück beim Einstieg im absoluten Tief!
Habe diese bis dato nur beim VERKAUFEN erwischt - bin lange im Geschäft!!!!

Ich sehe dort seit Oktober einen intakten Aufwärtskanal.

Und mein Beispiel für ein gelassenes Investment ist bei mir Ditem.

Dort stimmte das Gebiet und die Story, Management auch.

Es hat sich ausgezahlt.


Bei Werten, wo sich FUNDAMENTAL etwas ändert, ist es natürlich eine andere Sache.

Somit ist wieder eindeutig bewiesen, dass Taschengeldzocker Einfluß auf den Kurs nehmen können. Eigentlich schade, es gehörten Stückelungen eingeführt, bei BAY zB 10.000 Stück! Da beschäftigt man sich dann schon ein wenig mit der Firma.
Ist mir aber eigentlich ziemlich egal. Nach der nächsten Meldung, ist die ASK-Tiefe bis 1,5 wahrscheinlich ziemlich dünn. Das sind dann die Momente, wo es 50% im Stück senkrecht nach oben geht und keiner mehr ne Chance hat, reinzukommen.
Klar, funzt das in die andere Richtung ebenso!

Es gibt viele gute threads, aber noch mehr Müll.
Mir schon zu sehr akademisch ist zB FSY - da wird doziert was wäre wenn, und überhaupt ... und Müll lassen die gleich gar nicht aufkommen. Da gibts sofort eine über die Rübe.
TVC ist ähnlich gut, nicht so akademisch.
Hängt immer von den Usern ab - einen Großteil der Postings von Usern "die man kennt" lese ich gar nicht!
Katastrophal ist Bravo, Anaconda, ... Info null, Schmutz unendlich!
Ist halt wie überall im Leben - ob weiß, schwarz, braun, gelb ... es ist immer eine Niveaufrage und niemals ne Völkerfrage!
Für meine Recherche genügt fachlich meist das, was jeder im Internet finden kann - ist ne ganze Menge. Mich ruft leider kein CEO an und sagt "Mensch Mann, kauf mal n paar Stück von uns, wir aben was Großes im Busch".

Dieser, mein Beitrag ist auch nicht besonders wertvoll, kann man m.M.nach aber schon mal posten. Nach der nächsten Stufe haben wir dann auch wieder für ne Zeit den Müll im Faden!

Eine kleine sonntägliche Rezension (weil ich in anderen threads lese, wie schlimm options, PP usw. sind):
Ein Explorer hat i.d.R. keine Einnahmen und deshalb auch nur einen begrenzten Cashflow. Was liegt also näher, die Mitarbeiter:
- kostenschonend
- leistungsmotivierend
zu bezahlen. Das kann man mit Optionen sehr gut. Davon abzuleiten, dass die Firma ihre eigene Fantasie auf die Optionsdaten begrenzt ist schon von der Logik her grundfalsch.
Ich nehme an, dass die impulsiven Anleger aus der Dines-Euphorie mittlerweilen wieder draußen sind und wir in relativer Ruhe auf die ersten Daten warten können. Was so alles in nächster Zeit kommt sieht man, wenn man mal den diesjährigen Newsflow nachliest! Es war ein schönes Jahr und wird ein noch besseres!

Ich bin heute rund um die Uhr vor dem Computer - gestern auch - bis spät in die Nacht hinein.

Ich habe mein Depot permanent überwacht - alle Aktien gecheckt: ob nun Australien oder Kanada.

Und mein Ergebnis lautet:

1. Ich weiß weder WELCHE Aktie

2. Noch WARUM ich überhaupt einen Wert verkaufen soll.

Uran wird weiterhin verbraucht.

Die Nachfrage wird dramatisch steigen.

Uran ist nicht Silber - und schon gar nicht Gold.

Kein "Währungsnothalt", sondern ein Energieträger der sehr, sehr knapp ist - und bleibt.



Hätten wir es hier mit Panik zu tun, so würden wir ganz andere Umsätze in Kanada zu ganz anderen Abschlägen sehen.

Ich habe just meine Powertech verkauft: mit 66% Gewinn.

Aber der Aktienkurs war mir seit Wochen zu hoch.

CanAlaska, ESO, MEGA, Bayswater?

Klarste Käufe.

Bayswater und Mega Uranium stehen bei mir ebenfalls ganz oben auf der Liste, neben Forsys und Urasia, die mir aber jetzt schon kurzfristig ein wenig zu gut performt haben...

Bei Mega ist es erstaunlich, daß die in Deutschland so unpopulär ist... wird in Canada mit hohen Umsätzen (im Gegensatz zu Bayswater) gehandelt...

Bayswater ist durch den dünnen Umsatz sehr volatil, verliert mal eben in drei Tagen von 1,76 auf 1,37 $. Nun denn, andererseits geht es an anderen Tagen genauso schnell nach oben...

Sobald sich ein Ausbruch bei 1,7 $ bestätigt hat, werde ich sicher einsteigen. Im Moment ziehe ich wohl Mega vor.

Stated Mr. Taylor, "Bayswater Uranium Corporation (BAY) is the only uranium exploration company to have major landholdings in each of Canada’s most important producing and exploration regions: the Central Mineral Belt (in Labrador), the Thelon Basin, and the Athabasca Basin. In fact, the company holds more than one million acres in each of those areas.


A good property portfolio is only a third of what it takes for an exploration company to succeed. Another third is the requirement of a strong management team. Not to take anything away from our other two recommendations this week, but I would be hard pressed to find another junior mining firm with a team of geologists who have had more discoveries under their belts.

The third of the three requisites for success of any junior mining firm is an ability to raise high risk capital. Bayswater has demonstrated that ability. It has approximately $12 million in the till right now and 19 million warrants, all of which are in the money. If completely exercised, these warrants would raise another $19 million to $20 million, to be used to explore and develop the company’s highly prospective projects. In fact, management is getting ready to spend $20 million in 2007 to explore and carry out an aggressive drill program, which leads us to think 2007 could be a huge year for this company."

Mr. Taylor concluded, "BAY has perhaps the strongest uranium exploration team in the world. It is the only company to have over one million acres of prospective claims in three of Canada’s prime uranium hunting districts. The company is well funded and will spend $20 million next year, including some drilling, in an attempt to hunt for big game in what is definitely elephant-sized uranium country. There are never any guarantees of success in the mining business and especially in early exploration, but given all this company has going for it, we like its odds."

habe ich eben im Netzt gefunden, einen Artikel aus September. Damals gehörte Bays schon bei Dines zu den Top-Favoriten, bei einem Kurs von exakt dem gestrigen 1,41 CAD und einem Uran-Preis von 52 $ !

Dines held a panel discussion with four uranium miners that were “favourable.”

The four companies included Mega Uranium, Tournigan, Bayswater and Uranerz Energy.

Mega Uranium

Mega Uranium [TSX:MGA], currently trading at C$4.18, has uranium resources in Australia and exploration projects in Argentina, Mongolia, Bolivia, Canada and Australia.

Mega's principal asset, the Ben Lomond deposit in North Queensland holds 43-101 compliant Indicated Resources of 7.9 million lbs and an Inferred Resource of 2.8 million lbs. The deposit also contains 9.8 million lbs molybdenum based on an average grade of 0.15% Mo.

Mega has also began the process to obtain Australian Future Metals and Energy which holds historical reserves of 6.4 million lbs of u3o8.

In Mongolia, Mega entered a 2005 agreement with Red Hill Uranium and their 18 exploration properties totaling 3380km2. Properties are at the early to medium stages of exploration. Both companies have also agreed to cooperate in the identification and acquisition of other uranium projects throughout Mongolia.

Mega also entered into an agreement with Intrepid Minerals in March 2006 in a Bolivian uranium. Mega is slated to earn 75% of the uranium-molybdenum content of 16 exploration properties. The company continues to explore and develop its uranium projects.

Tournigan Gold

Tournigan Gold [TSXv:TVC], trading today at C$2.22 and with a 52 week range of C$1.28 - C$3.25, owns a uranium property in the Slovak Republic with outlined an inferred resource containing 18.2 million pounds of U3O8 hosted within 1.25 million tonnes of materials averaging a grade of 0.66% U3O8 at a cut-off of 0.035%. The company is also currently exploring a number of properties throughout the Slovak Region.

The company is preparing to drill additional in-fill holes to gather more data on the deposit, complete step-out drilling to increase the deposit's strike length, and explore for further mineralization with the goal of moving the deposit into production.

Uranerz Energy

U.S. based Uranerz Energy [AMEX:URZ], trading today at $2.55 and with a 52 week range of 90 cents to $3.25, is focused on exploration and development in Wyoming’s Powder Basin area, Mongolia and Saskatchewan’s uranium rich Athabasca Basin.

The Canadian property comprises two permits with a total of 67,480 hectares. Uranez has entered a JV with Triex Minerals which will be able to earn up to 70% interest in some of the properties by spending nearly $3 million by November 1, 2009.

Anticipation for Canadian property follow-up exploration which includes prospecting, is slated soon.

Uranerz has 12 projects in Wyoming and plans to use in-situ leach (ISL) recovery methods, a much cheaper and more efficient way to gather uranium depending on the area. The company has began the process to gather the appropriate ISL permits.

The company also has eight exploration licenses in Mongolia that cover 284,815 hectares. One property, the Khavstal property, has estimates of probable resources of 5.19 million lbs with possible resources of 10.39 million lbs of uranium in the region.

Bayswater

Canadian based junior explorer Bayswater Uranium [TSXv:BAY], trading today at C$1.41 and with a 52 week range of $1.10 to $1.69, has major landholdings in Canada’s Athabasca Basin, the Thelon Basin and the Hermitage Belt.

The Athabasca region is one of the world’s premier uranium mining sites, supplying roughly 32% of the world’s uranium. Bayswater is slated to acquire 1.5 million acres of mineral claims in the region and production throughout the region is expected to increase.

The company also has 7800 sq. km. of uranium concession agreements in Niger.

Conclusion

Dines said on Thursday in another presentation that “we need to look wrong to be right in the stock market,” referring to a number of previous market calls that proved to be the hot investment at the time, even if perceived as wretched by the general market at the time.

Dines also said that eventually he expects to see every uranium stock increase and said that “it’s not too late to get into uranium.” Dines said that he is looking for sky-high prices and that the impact on the uranium industry “will be phenomenal.”

The uranium spot price is currently $52.00, up from last month’s end of $48.50, and many, including Dines, see a continued uptrend and only potential for the metal as energy demand in developing nations continues to grow and the return to using U3O8 for energy demand looks more attractive.

erste Gerüchte tauchen auf, dass Cameco seine Miene nicht mehr retten kann. Wenn sich das bestätigen sollte, ist wohl klar, was mit dem Uran-Preis passiert !

Bayswater Uranium Corp. (BAY - TSX Venture, B2V - FWB), reports that an aggressive $20 million uranium exploration program has been budgeted for 2007. The extensive program comprises up to 30,000 metres of drilling on the Company's large uranium projects in Canada's three most important uranium regions.

In the Central Mineral Belt, Labrador, the Company is exploring for Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG)/Rossing-style uranium deposits; in the Thelon (NWT/NU) and Athabasca (SK) Basins, the targets are high-grade unconformity uranium deposits. In both the Central Mineral Belt and the Thelon Basin, Bayswater is the largest property holder in these highly prospective uranium regions; and one of the largest landholders in the highly productive Athabasca Basin.

Bayswater's goal is to discover and begin drill delineation of a uranium resource on its projects as quickly as possible to create significant shareholder value. To achieve this objective, the Company accomplished the following key milestones in 2006.

1. Acquired major landholdings, comprising 6.85 million acres, in Canada's top uranium producing and exploration regions: Athabasca Basin, Labrador, Thelon Basin and Newfoundland;

2. Assembled a management team with a highly successful track record in uranium exploration and discovery, capital raising, and creation of significant shareholder value;

3. Raised in excess of $20 million;

4. Applied for approximately 2 million acres of concessions in Niger, the world's 4th largest uranium producer; and

Funding of the 2007 exploration program as outlined above comes from over $11,000,000 on hand and from further capital to be provided through exercise of warrants and equity financings.

Central Mineral Belt, Labrador - 100% Interest in 1,072,028 Acres

The Central Mineral Belt (CMB) uranium district extends for more than 175 kilometres through south-central Labrador, eastern Canada. The belt features numerous uranium deposits highlighted by resource drilling at Aurora Energy Resources Inc.'s (TSX: AXU) Michelin deposit and Crosshair Exploration & Mining Corp.'s (TSX-V: CXX) Moran Lake deposit, which has made the belt a hotspot for uranium exploration in Canada.

With interests in over 1 million acres (4,338 sq km) of largely contiguous land - the largest land package in the Central Mineral Belt - and multiple targets discovered, the CMB property is one of Bayswater's key uranium projects. During 2006, Bayswater completed a property-wide helicopter radiometric and magnetic survey totaling 41,145 line kilometres. This survey and follow-up detailed prospecting and sampling identified 12 IOCG and Rossing-style uranium deposit targets, most of which are at the drill stage, plus a large number of radiometric anomalies that remain to be followed-up.

In 2007, Bayswater will conduct follow-up ground geophysics, further detailed prospecting and sampling and drilling of selected priority targets. In addition, prospecting and sampling of untested radiometric anomalies will also be carried out. 10,000 meters of drilling is planned to commence on selected uranium targets this spring; whereas, additional drilling is planned to follow in the summer and fall subject to results of the Company's first phase of drilling and prospecting of radiometric anomalies. The exploration budget for the Central Mineral Belt is approximately $5,600,000.

Thelon Basin, Nunavut and Northwest Territories - 50% to 100% Interest in 3,663,819 Acres

The Thelon Basin represents an under-explored, major sandstone basin that shares many geological characteristics with the Athabasca Basin, approximately 350 km to the south in Saskatchewan. Similarities between the Athabasca and Thelon Basins include the age and character of favorable host and basement rocks, major structural features, and, importantly, known occurrences of unconformity-style uranium mineralization. The most advanced uranium deposits in the Thelon Basin area are Areva's Kiggavik, Andrew Lake and END deposits (the Kiggavik Trend), host to approximately 131 million pounds of contained U3O8.

Bayswater is by far the largest landholder in the Thelon Basin with interests in over 3.6 million acres. The Company's properties are located in the North and South Thelon Basin areas, which collectively represents approximately one-third of the available exploration land in the Basin. Other companies exploring in the Thelon Basin include Cameco Corporation (TSX: CCO), Ur-Energy Inc. (TSX: URE), and Western Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: WUC).

Last summer, Bayswater completed airborne geophysical surveys on a portion of its North and South Thelon area projects. In the North Thelon, a radiometric and magnetic survey comprising 21,336 line kilometers over seven separate land parcels identified 18 high priority radiometric anomalies. The radiometric anomalies are all located in favorable geologic settings for unconformity-type uranium deposits, the highest-grade uranium deposits in the world. Preliminary prospecting of these targets late in the 2006 season identified anomalous radioactivity in favourable geologic settings on several of these targets. In the South Thelon, a Fugro MEGATEM airborne survey comprising 9,022 line kilometres delineated a number of conductive targets and associated basement structure. Conductors associated with fault structures are key features associated with high-grade unconformity-type uranium deposits such as McArthur River and Cigar Lake in the Athabasca Basin.

The 2007 exploration program in the South Thelon Basin will include follow-up ground prospecting and geophysical surveys. Airborne geophysical surveys will also be conducted in areas not previously surveyed. Based on exploration results, selected targets will be drill tested. In the North Thelon, ground prospecting and geophysical surveys will follow-up priority targets identified by airborne surveys. The exploration budget for the Thelon Basin is approximately $8,100,000.

Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan - 100% Interest in over 1,700,000 Acres

The Athabasca Basin hosts the highest-grade unconformity-type uranium deposits in the world, and accounts for approximately 32% of the world's uranium supply. Most of the uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin have been discovered around the margin of the Basin, where depth to the basement unconformity - host level of most uranium deposits - is relatively shallow (less than 700 metres). With today's technology, geophysical surveys are able to penetrate deeper into the earth, to identify uranium targets at levels not previously probed.

In mid 2006, Bayswater entered into an agreement to acquire a 100% interest in 1,508,056 acres in the Athabasca Basin. Comprised of three claim blocks, the properties cover major fault structures and geological settings that are favourable environments for high-grade, unconformity deposits. The Company has recently staked additional contiguous ground, covering favourable basement structures in shallower portions of the basin, bringing its land position to over 1,700,000 acres. Target depth to the unconformity is from 400 metres to over 1,000 metres.

In 2007, deep-penetrating airborne geophysical surveys and follow-up ground geophysical and geological surveys are planned to identify drill targets. An initial drilling program is planned to test priority targets. The exploration budget for the Athabasca Basin properties is approximately $4,300,000.

Hermitage Uranium Belt, Newfoundland - 50% to 100% Interest in 420,860 Acres

The Hermitage Uranium Belt is a 100 km by 10 km structural arch in southwestern Newfoundland that hosts a number of uranium prospects. Several types of uranium occurrences have been discovered in the belt, of which stratiform sedimentary and volcanic settings are most important due to their large-scale potential.

In recognition of the Hermitage Belt's potential to host multiple, large-scale, near-surface uranium deposits, Bayswater increased its land position in the belt in 2006. The Company now has interests in approximately 420,000 acres, which represents about half of the belt. In 2006, airborne geophysical surveys, to measure radiometric, magnetic and electromagnetic responses, were flown over a portion of Bayswater's ground. The 4,000 line kilometre airborne survey identified a large number of low intensity radiometric anomalies. Follow-up work of these anomalies did not locate mineralized zones of interest; however, a number of high priority target areas remain to be explored.

In 2007, additional radiometric and magnetic surveys are planned over ground not yet surveyed, as well as follow-up ground prospecting of high-priority targets delineated by the initial and 2007 survey. Drilling of any uranium zones of interest will be undertaken. Bayswater's airborne survey and prospecting budget for the Hermitage Uranium Belt is approximately $500,000.

Niger, West Africa - Application for Approximately 2,000,000 Acres.

Bayswater, and through an option agreement with Longview Capital Partners Inc., (TSX-V: LV) has applied to acquire concessions totaling approximately 2,000,000 acres in favourable geologic settings for the occurrence of major uranium deposits. All of the properties are road accessible and located between 60 and 400 km from Cogema's world-class Arlit and Cominak uranium mines, which collectively have produced over 100,000 tonnes of U3O8 to date. Bayswater's properties have similar stratigraphic and structural settings to the Arlit and Akouta uranium mine area.

The Arlit and Cominak deposits provide excellent geologic models for uranium exploration in Niger. These deposits are characteristic of the sandstone-type model, hosted in continental to marine deltaic sandstones along the western margin of older basement rocks forming part of the Air Massif mountains of the West African Shield.

Bayswater plans a detailed compilation of all previous work on the concessions followed by a high-resolution airborne radiometric and magnetic survey and follow-up prospecting. The 2007 budget for Niger is about $1,750,000. Recently, the Company was notified that the Niger government review of its mining act has been completed and at the beginning of this year the Company was further notified that it would be granted its concessions shortly.

VANCOUVER, BC--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 18, 2007 -- Bayswater Uranium Corporation (TSX VENTURE:BAY.V - News) is pleased to report that final assays from its 2006 program in the Central Mineral Belt, Labrador have now been received and results include a grab sample from a biotitic shear zone on the Kanairiktok Bay Prospect that assayed 6.9% U3O8 and have confirmed the discovery of two new uranium mineralized radioactive targets-namely Stomach Lake and Stipec River Zone E (see News Release dated November 8, 2006). Drill testing of these targets is planned for 2007. This brings the current number of targets for drill testing this spring and summer to a total of 10.


Uranium targets identified for drill testing from Bayswater's 2006 Labrador exploration program include the Stomach Lake Zone A and Dandy-Kanairiktok Bay Rossing type prospects; and the Stipec River Zone A, D and E targets and the Anna Lake and Ghost Lake Zone A, B and C targets of the IOCG type prospects. All of these targets have been described in previous News Releases dated August 28, October 2 and November 8, 2006. Numerous radiometric anomalies from the 2006 airborne survey remain to be followed-up with detailed prospecting.

A detailed review of all 2006 project data is currently underway. The Company anticipates that several other targets will be identified for drill testing as a result of its planned aggressive and extensive 2007 program. Bayswater has budgeted over $5.6 million for its Labrador Uranium Project in 2007. This budget includes 20,000 metres of drilling depending on results as the 2007 program evolves.

Highlights of recent assay results from the Company's Labrador Uranium Program are as follows:

Kanairiktok Bay Prospect: One grab sample taken from a highly radioactive zone of biotitic/amphibole shear zone within the proposed drill area of the Kanairiktok Bay prospect, as previously reported in News Release dated October 2, 2006, assayed 6.9% U3O8 using the XRF assay method. This biotitic shear zone is about 1 metre wide and can be traced intermittently for approximately 100 metres along strike. Previously reported assays from radioactive alaskitic granites immediately adjacent to this shear zone range up to 0.36% U3O8. This Rossing type target warrants detailed follow-up work and drilling.

Stomach Lake Zone A Prospect: A large area underlain by a radioactive felsic pegmatite dyke swarm at the primary source area of a 20 km long airborne radiometric anomaly and associated radioactive boulder train has returned assays from 11 grab samples ranging from 0.03% to 0.455% U3O8. These samples also commonly contained anomalous contents of the light rare earth elements. This Rossing type target warrants further detailed work and drill testing.

Other potential radioactive bedrock targets are indicated from prospecting of this very large boulder train and require further work.

Stipec River Zone E Prospect: The Stipec River Zone E prospect, identified late in the field season with limited sampling and prospecting completed in 2006, returned two grab samples assaying respectively 0.363% and 0.376% U3O8. These are highly encouraging assays from a zone of highly radioactive, sulphidic and graphitic sheared sediments located in a gossanous zone previously identified by Noranda. The mineralized zone can be traced for about 60 m and averages 2 m to 3 m in width. It is associated with a moderate-strong airborne EM conductor identified from previous Noranda work that extends the zone along strike. This target warrants drill testing.

Stipec River Zone D Prospect: Sampling from a 2 to 5 metre wide, continuously mineralized radioactive sandstone unit has returned assay values of 0.04% to 0.072% U3O8. Field mapping indicates that mineralization may occur in multiple sandstone beds and further work is warranted including drill testing.

Weekes-English Lake Area: This target is characterized by a very large ring-shaped radiometric anomaly up to 10 km in diameter with stubby anomalous linear extensions in a NE-SW direction within the south central portion of the Northwest Claim Block. Very limited prospecting was carried out on this target in 2006. One sample of radioactive granitic material from bedrock assayed 0.096% U3O8 from within this target. Further prospecting is planned during the 2007 field season on this target.

The Central Mineral Belt (CMB) of Labrador, Canada, located approximately 135 kilometres north of Goose Bay, has a long history of uranium and base metals exploration. Uranium was first discovered in the belt in the 1950s. Crosshair Exploration and Mining (TSX VENTURE:CXX.V - News) is exploring the Moran Lake deposit with an initial NI 43-101 compliant inferred resource of 688,000 lbs U3O8 at a grade of 0.25% U3O8 in the Upper C Zone. Bayswater Uranium is the largest landholder in the CMB with over 4,300 sq km. Aurora controls about 800 sq km and Crosshair approximately 640 sq km.

Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, January 23, 2007 /FSC/ - Bayswater Uranium Corp. (TSX - VX: BAY, FWB: B2V), (the "Company") is pleased to announce it has engaged Pacific International Securities Inc. as agent (the "Agent") for a brokered private placement on a commercially reasonable efforts basis, of up to 3,450,000 units of the Company (the "Units") at a price of $1.45 per Unit and up to 9,100,000 flow-though units (the "FT Units") at a price of $1.65 per FT Unit to raise gross proceeds of up to $20,017,500 (the "Offering").

Each Unit shall consist of one common share and one half of one transferable common share purchase warrant (each whole such purchase warrant, a "Warrant"). Each FT Unit shall consist of one flow-through common share and one half of one transferable Warrant. Each Warrant will be exercisable into one additional common share at an exercise price of $1.85 per common share for a period of 18 months from closing.

The Company has also granted to the Agent an option to cover over allotments which will allow the Agent to offer up to 862,500 additional Units and up to 2,275,000 additional FT Units (the "Over-allotment Option").

The Agent will receive a cash commission of 7.0% of the gross proceeds of the Offering, including any Units and FT Units issued or sold pursuant to the exercise of the Over-Allotment Option, and the Agent may elect to receive some or all of this commission in Units. The Agent will also receive compensation options (the "Compensation Options") equal to 10% of the number of Units and FT Units placed under the Offering, including any Units and FT Units issued or sold pursuant to the exercise of the Over-Allotment Option. Each Compensation Option is exercisable into one common share at an exercise price of $1.70 for a period of 18 months from closing.

Completion of the Offering is subject to the receipt of all required regulatory approvals. Victor Tanaka, B.Sc. P.Geo. - Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President and Director
Vic Tanaka is a geologist who has participated in several significant mineral discoveries. He has held senior positions in both major and junior mining companies and has broad Canadian and international experience. He previously served as general manager of exploration for Asamera Inc., one of the original partners in the joint venture that led to the discovery of the high-grade Cigar Lake and Dawn Lake uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin. The joint venture was also involved in laying the groundwork for the eventual discovery of the world-class McArthur River uranium deposit. McArthur River and Cigar Lake are the world's largest, high-grade uranium deposits.

Ken Armstrong, M.Sc., P.Geo. - Director
Mr. Armstrong worked as a geologist with Rio Tinto from 1996 to 1997 and was involved with the development of the original resource models for the Diavik Diamond Mine, NWT. Mr. Armstrong joined Aber Resources Ltd. in 1997 and managed diamond, gold, and base metal exploration programs in Canada's north. Mr. Armstrong has been President and CEO of Strongbow Exploration Inc. since January 2005.

Gordon Davidson has over 20 years experience in uranium exploration including directing exploration strategy and project management. Central Mineral Belt, Labrador - 100% Interest in 1,041,000 Acres

The Central Mineral Belt (CMB) uranium district extends for more than 175 kilometres through south-central Labrador, eastern Canada. The belt features numerous uranium and copper occurrences highlighted by the Michelin and Moran Lake uranium deposits.

Bayswater is the largest landholder in the Central Mineral Belt, with interests in 1,041,000 acres. The company's ground include extensions to uranium deposits and numerous prospects and targets discovered through geophysical surveys and prospecting.

With interests in over 1 million acres (4,200 sq km) of contiguous land - the largest land package in the Central Mineral Belt - and multiple targets discovered, the CMB property is one of Bayswater's key uranium projects. During 2006, Bayswater completed property-wide geophysical surveys totaling 41,000 square kilometres. The surveys identified 12 IOCG and Rossing-style uranium deposit targets plus a large number of radiometric anomalies.

In 2007, Bayswater will conduct follow-up ground prospecting, as well as radiometric and magnetic surveys over priority targets. During spring, 10,000 metres of drilling is planned on selected targets. The budget for the CMB Project is approximately $5,500,000.

Thelon Basin, Nunavut and Northwest Territories - 50% to 100% Interest in 3,663,818 Acres

The Thelon Basin represents an under-explored, major sandstone basin that shares many geological characteristics with the Athabasca Basin, approximately 350 km to the south in Saskatchewan. Similarities between the Athabasca and Thelon Basins include the age and character of favorable host and basement rocks, major structural features, and, importantly, known occurrences of unconformity-hosted uranium mineralization. The most advanced uranium deposits in the Thelon Basin area are Areva's Kiggavik, Andrew Lake and END deposits (the Kiggavik Trend), host to approximately 131 million pounds of contained U3O8.

The Thelon Basin is an underexplored uranium basin that is geologically similar to the prolific Athabasca Basin. Bayswater's interests in 3.6 million acres is by far the largest position in the Thelon, representing approximately 33% of the ground available for exploration.

Bayswater Uranium is by far the largest landholder in the Thelon Basin with interests in 3.6 million acres. The Company's properties are located in the North and South Thelon Basin areas, which collectively represents approximately one-third of the available exploration land in the Basin.

During 2006, Bayswater completed airborne geophysical survey on a portion of its North and South Thelon area projects. In the North Thelon, geophysical surveys covering 21,000 line kilometres, identified 18 radiometric anomalies. The radiometric anomalies are all located in favorable geologic settings for unconformity-type uranium deposits, the highest-grade uranium deposits in the world. In the South Thelon, airborne surveys of 9,000 line kilometres delineated 12 conductors. Conductors associated with fault structures are key features associated with high-grade unconformity-type uranium deposits such as McArthur River and Cigar Lake in the Athabasca Basin, 350 kilometres south.

The 2007 exploration program in the South Thelon Basin will include follow-up ground prospecting and geophysical surveys. Airborne geophysical surveys will also be conducted in areas not previously surveyed. Based on exploration resulted, selected targets will be drilled. In the North Thelon, ground prospecting and geophysical surveys will follow-up priority targets identified by airborne surveys. The exploration budget for the Thelon Basin is approximately $8,000,000.

Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan - 100% Interest in 1,508,056 Acres

The Athabasca Basin hosts the highest-grade unconformity-type uranium deposits in the world, and accounts for approximately 32% of the world's uranium supply. Most of the uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin have been discovered around the margin of Basin, where depth to the basement unconformity - host level of most uranium deposits - is relatively shallow (less than 1,000 metres). With today's technology, surveys are able to penetrate deeper into the earth, to identify uranium targets at levels not previously probed.

In mid 2006, Bayswater entered into an agreement to acquire a 100% interest in 1,508,056 acres in the Athabasca Basin. Comprised of three claim blocks, the properties cover major fault structures and geological settings that are favourable environments for high-grade, unconformity deposits. Target depth to the unconformity is from 400 metres to over 1,000 metres.

In 2007, the Company plans to conduct deep-penetrating airborne geophysical surveys and follow-up ground geophysical and geological surveys to identify drill targets. Drilling is planned at priority targets. The exploration budget for the Athabasca Basin properties is approximately $5,000,000.

Hermitage Uranium Belt, Newfoundland - 50% to 100% Interest in 420,860 Acres

The Hermitage Uranium Belt is a 100 km by 10 km structural arch in southwestern Newfoundland that hosts a number of uranium prospects. Several types of uranium occurrences have been discovered in the belt, of which stratiform sedimentary and volcanic settings are most important due to their large-scale potential.

In recognition of the Hermitage Belt's potential to host multiple, large-scale, near-surface uranium deposits, Bayswater increased its land position in the belt during the year. The Company now has interests in approximately 420,000 acres, which represents about half of the belt. In 2006, airborne geophysical surveys, to measure radiometric, magnetic and electromagnetic responses, were flown over a portion of Bayswater's ground. The 4,000 line kilometre surveys identified in excess of 100 priority uranium targets for follow-up exploration.

In 2007, additional radiometric and magnetic surveys are planned over ground not yet surveyed, as well as follow-up ground prospecting of high-priority targets delineated by the initial survey. Bayswater exploration budget for the Hermitage Uranium Belt is approximately $1,000,000 in 2007.

Uramin scheint ne absolute Bank zu sein, schon langsam unheimlich, daß es nur grüne Pfeile seit Tagen gibt, andererseits nicht wirklich verwunderlich und ne richtige Explosion fehlt auch noch...

die könnte meines Erachtens bei Bay jeden Tag ins Haus stehen... ich denke, daß sich hier ein wenig Geduld auszahlen wird...

Höhe.
Umweltschützer fordern Schließung von Cigar Lake

Inge Lindemann

Nach einem Unfall am 22.Oktober im neuen Uranbergwerk Cigar Lake in der
kanadischen Provinz Saskatchewan kam es zum stärksten Preisanstieg für Uran seit
20 Jahren. Derzeit wird das Schwermetall für rund 60 Dollar je Pound (454 Gramm)
gehandelt, Tendenz steigend. Die Aktien der weltweiten Uran-Explorer zählen
derzeit zu den meistgefragten Wertpapieren an der Börse in Toronto. Besonders
Australien und Kasachstan, neben Kanada größte Uranexporteure, erhöhen ihre
Produktionsmengen.

Der Handel profitiert von den gravierenden Problemen des kanadischen
Branchengiganten Cameco Corpora­tion in Cigar Lake. Analysten befürchten durch
das Wegbrechen der dortigen Reserven von 150000 Tonnen Uran eine Verknappung auf
dem Rohstoffmarkt, und das bei steigendem Bedarf der Atomwirtschaft. Man wolle
das Uran nicht aufgeben, könne aber derzeit keine Prognosen f
ür Cigar Lake abgeben, so Gerald W. Grandey, Präsident der weltweit führenden
kanadischen Bergbaugesellschaft Cameco Corporation am Firmensitz in Saskatoon.
Spätestens ab 2008 sollte Cigar Lake mit 6923 Tonnen Uranmetall pro Jahr zur
ertragreichsten Uranmine der Welt aufsteigen.

»In einigen Tagen steht das gesamte Bergwerk unter Wasser«, mußte Grandey statt
dessen der Presse erklären. Der Einsturz unter Tage führte zu Wassereinbrüchen
in der Mine, die den Hauptschacht und die zentrale Infrastruktur des als modern
geltenden Bergwerkes fluteten. Die Pumpen waren den Wassermassen nicht
gewachsen, und die Situation geriet außer Kontrolle. Um die Anlage, die seit
2004 im Probelauf ist, nach dem Absaufen wieder i
n Betrieb nehmen zu können, müßte das Wasser hochgepumpt und in der noch nicht
fertiggestellten Wasserreinigungsanlage dekontaminiert werden, so Grandey. Neben
den schwierigen Förderbedingungen, die man mit modernster Technik und der
Kreativität der Mitarbeiter beherrschen wollte, räumte Grandey auch große
Probleme mit der Radioaktivität und dem Ausgasen von Radon vor Ort ein.
Umweltschützer forderten Cameco deswegen auf, Cigar Lake zu schließen und alles
zu unternehmen, um eine Verseuchung des Grundwassers zu verhindern. Schon am 6.
April war es in 329 Metern Tiefe zu einen beachtlichen Wassereinbruch in Cigar
Lake gekommen. Arbeiter mußten evakuiert und schweres Gerät geborgen werden.

Die Lagerstätte zählt zu den größten und noch nicht ausgebeuteten Lagerstätten
der Welt. Mit einem extrem hohen Gehalt von 16,8 Prozent Uran im Gestein liegt
Cigar Lake um den Faktor 100 über dem Urangehalt einer durchschnittlichen
Lagerstätte in den USA. Entdeckt wurde das Vorkommen im Mai 1981, seit 1990
laufen die Genehmigungsanträge und Pilotförderungen. Die kanadische Atomaufsicht
CNSC (Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission) erteilte im Dezember 2004 die
Baugenehmigung für die Uranförderung an ein Betreiberkonsortium. Im Konsortium
sind die kanadische Cameco mit 50 Prozent, und die international in allen
Spielarten des Atomgeschäftes tätige französische AREVA Resources Canada mit 37
Prozent führend vertreten. Zur AREVA Group, früher Cogema, mit Sitz in Paris
gehört auch Siemens/Fram­atom. Im kommenden Jahr sollte die Pilotphase in Cigar
Lake abgeschlossen werden und die kommerzielle Förderung beginnen.

Wegen der hohen Strahlung und der instabilen geologischen Formation in 450
Metern Tiefe konnte in Cigar Lake keine konventionelle Abbautechnik eingesetzt
werden. Das speziell entwickelte Jetstream-Verfahren sah vor, die Lagerstätte
künstlich auf minus 40 Grad zu kühlen, um das Urangestein dann unter hohem
Wasserdruck aus 500 Metern Tiefe zu fördern. Das Erz wurde unter Tage gebrochen,
zu Uranschlamm verarbeitet und über hydraulische Pumpen zur Weiterverarbeitung
an die Oberfläche befördert. Von dort wurde der Schlamm auf Lastwagen in die 80
Kilometer entfernte Uranerzaufbereitung der McClean Lake Uranmine transportiert.

Lamie Kneen von Mining Watch Canada, einer nationalen
Nichtregierungsorganisation mit Sitz in Ottawa äußerte sich gegenüber dieser
Zeitung nach dem schweren Unfall in Cigar Lake sehr besorgt. Cameco habe wegen
Zeit- und Kostendruck den Umweltschutz sträflich vernachlässigt. Aufgrund des
Absaufens der Anlage müsse gravierende Grundwasserverseuchung befürchtet werden.
Professor Jim Penna von der Universität in Saskatchewan und Vorstandsmitglied
des InterChurch Uranium Committees (ICUC) nimmt die kanadische Regierung in die
Mitverantwortung. Sie habe weder ausreichende Expertise, noch Personal und Geld
zur Überwachung der Uranbergbauindustrie. »Die kanadische Atombehörde (CNSC)
erteilt Genehmigungen zum experimentellen Uranabbau, der in radioaktiver
Verseuchung und Umweltzerstörung enden muß«, so Penna.

Die Jahresfördermenge von Uran liegt derzeit weltweit bei 41000 Tonnen. Über 25
Prozent (11600 Tonnen) steuert Kanada bei, wobei der Löwenanteil (8000) Tonnen
auf Cameco entfällt. Die Kosten für die Ausbeutung der Lagerstätte Cigar Lake
sollten zunächst 520 Millionen Dollar betragen und werden sich nach Schätzungen
von Marktanalytikern auf knapp eine Milliarde Dollar fast verdoppeln. In einem
aktuellen Bericht von Greenpeace zur »Reichweite der Uranvorräte der Welt« geht
Peter Diehl von WISE-Uranium davon aus, daß die Uranvorräte zwischen 2026 und
2070 erschöpft sein werden.

Neuer Uran-Riese entsteht

Der kanadische Uranproduzent SXR Uranium One übernimmt den einheimischen Konkurrenten UrAsia Energy im Zuge eines Aktientauschs. Dies haben die beiden Unternehmen am Montag in Toronto bekannt gegeben.

Uranium One wird dadurch zum zweitgrößten Uranproduzenten der Welt. Die Aktien der neuen Gesellschaft werden einen Börsenwert von rund fünf Mrd. US-Dollar (3,8 Mrd. Euro) haben, betonten die Urananbieter. Die neue Gesellschaft soll als Uranium One Inc. firmieren. Sie wird der zweitgrößte Uranproduzent der Welt und das einzige Unternehmen, das über Uranbergwerke und -vorkommen in den fünf wichtigsten Regionen Kasachstan, Südafrika, Australien, den USA und Kanada verfüge,hieß es weiter.


Die UrAsia-Aktionäre sollen 0,45 Uranium-One-Aktien je eigenen Anteil erhalten oder 7,05 kanadische Dollar je Aktie gemessen am Vorwochenschlusskurs von Uranium One. Dies sei ein Aufgeld von 13 Prozent. Die Verwaltungsräte beider Unternehmen haben die Transaktion gebilligt. Die UrAsia sowie die Aufsichtsbehörden müssen den Zusammenschluss erst genehmigen.

Die Uranpreise befinden sich auf Höhenflug. Die Nachfrage ist angesichts des Baus zahlreicher Atomkraftwerke in China sowie vieler in der Entwicklung befindlicher Atommeiler in anderen Ländern stark gestiegen. Branchenführer unter den Uranproduzenten ist die kanadische Firma Cameco.

Darum liebe ich diesen trade hier absolut ruhig und wenn dann meistens nur vernünftiges geschreibe nicht wie in allen anderen trades hier.
Es kann auch aufwärts gehn ohne blöde sprüche und gepushe so macht es hier total spas ab und zu mal zu schreiben.
Weiter so relex hier echt super.

Kernenergie soll den Erdgasverbrauch bei der Gewinnung von Öl aus den Ölsanden im Norden Albertas reduzieren

Industriequellen berichteten im Januar, dass ein Plan zum Bau von Kernkraftwerken in den Ölsandlagerstätten im Norden der kanadischen Provinz Alberta innerhalb von Wochen enthüllt werden könnte.


"Falls Sie nicht etwas von uns innerhalb von 90 Tagen hören, dann wäre ich sehr überrascht," sagte Wayne Henuset, ein Mitgründer der Energy Alberts Corp. (EAC) aus Calgary. "Es begann als ein Gedankenmodell und hat sich jetzt zu einem konkreten Vorhaben ausgewachsen." EAC, das ein Abkommen mit Atomic Energy of Canada Limited im letzten Sommer unterzeichnet hat, um die CANDU-Reaktoren in der Erdölindustrie einzusetzen, ist ein Privatunternehmen, das den Chairman der Precision Drilling, Hank Swartout, als Geldgeber einschließt.

Herr Henuset bestätigte, dass EAC Gespräche mit großen Ölsand-Produzenten aufgenommen hat, die sich um eine Reduzierung ihrer Abhängigkeit von Erdgas zur Produktion von Strom und Heißdampf auf ihren großen Thermal-Projekten (In-Situ-Gewinnung) bemühen. Im Falle der In-Situ-Gewinnung wird Heißdampf in die Ölsande eingeleitet, der das Bitumen herauslöst und zur Oberfläche fördert. Dieses Bitumen wird dann durch Pipelines zur Aufbereitungsanlage geleitet.

Die Ölsande in der kanadischen Provinz Alberta enthalten die größten bekannten Ölvorräte der Welt. Nach Schätzungen sind 1,7 bis 2,5 Billionen Barrel Bitumen (1 Barrel = 158,9 Liter) in einem komplexen Gemisch aus Sand, Wasser und Ton gebunden. Der Ölgehalt dieser Ölsande reicht von 1 bis 20 %. Die drei wichtigsten Lagerstätten Athabasca, Cold Lake und Peace River bedecken zusammen eine Fläche von ungefähr 80.000 km² (zum Vergleich: Österreich 83.850 km²) . Athabasca ist mit 40.000 km² die größte und zugänglichste Lagerstätte. Sie besitzt ebenfalls den höchsten Bitumengehalt und ein Teil der Ölsande in der Nähe der Stadt Fort McMurray liegt nur in geringer Tiefe und kann so im Tagebau gewonnen werden. Die Ölsandindustrie arbeitet jetzt gewinnbringend und ein Drittel der gesamten kanadischen Ölproduktion, ungefähr 1 Million Barrel Öl pro Tag, stammt aus der Aufbereitung der Ölsande.

Die Äußerungen kamen, nachdem John Lau, Husky Energys CEO, letzte Woche sagte, dass seine Gesellschaft Kernreaktoren zum Betrieb ihres Sunrise-Thermal-Projekts mit einer Kapazität von 200.000 Barrel Öl pro Tag in Betracht ziehe. Aber laut Herrn Henuset sind Huskys Pläne getrennt von den Vorhaben der EAC. Dr. Eddy Isaac, der Executive Director des Alberta Energy Research Institute (AERI) erwartet ebenfalls, dass mindestens ein Vorschlag zum Bau eines Kernkraftwerks auf eine Ausschreibung eingereicht wird, die diesen Monat schließt.

AERI ist ein Mitglied der Energy Inet Inc., einer Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Regierung mit der Petroleumindustrie, die im Dezember 2006 zu einer Reduzierung des Erdgasverbrauchs in den Ölsandlagerstätten aufrief. Energy Inet schließt Regierungsstellen und Staatsbetriebe sowie große Ölproduzenten wie Nexen Inc., Shell Canada Limited, EnCana Corp. und Canadian Natural Resources ein.

"Zur Zeit liegt noch kein Geld auf dem Tisch. Diese Studie ist eine von vielen, die wir durchführen, um nach alternativen Energiequellen in den Ölsandlagerstätten zu suchen. Dies wird uns einen ersten Blick auf die Kosten geben und wir werden eine Idee bekommen, ob dies durchführbar ist," sagte Herr Isaacs. Soheil Asgarpour, Energy Inets Ölsand-Direktor und Projekt-Koordinator, sagte, dass ein Komitee die Vorschläge überprüfen wird und ein Gutachten in Auftrag geben wird, das bis zum Herbst veröffentlicht werden könnte. Das Gutachten wird die wirtschaftlichste Technologie betrachten. Selbst wenn das Gutachten die Wirtschaftlichkeit eines Reaktors bestätigen sollte, so dürfte laut Herrn Isaac der Bau eines Kernkraftwerkes noch Jahre entfernt sein.

Obwohl der Bauantrag für ein Kernkraftwerk in Alberta noch nie dem Energieministerium der Provinz vorgelegt wurde, so sind die Behörden laut Darin Barter, einem Sprecher des Ministeriums, in der Lage, diesen Antrag zu prüfen. Herr Henuset ist zuversichtlich, dass die Öffentlichkeit die wirtschaftlichen Vorteile und die Vorteile für die Umwelt der Kernenergie schätzen wird, einschließlich der Reduzierung der Treibhausgasemissionen.

World’s Uranium Companies Beginning to Head to U.S. Stock Exchanges

A soaring uranium price performs magic for many of the companies who have begun developing their uranium assets and moving toward production. Canadian, Australian and South African uranium companies are eyeing listings on U.S. stock exchanges. Some have already begun.

Three years ago, one could only find Cameco Corp (CCJ) trading on the New York Stock exchange. As of late November 2006, Energy Metals Corp (EMU) began trading on the NYSE ARCA. Energy Metals is currently developing their Texas uranium in situ recovery mine for production in either late 2007 or early 2008.

One tier down on the American Stock Exchange is the Fronteer Group (FRG), which is a hybrid gold company holding uranium-mineralized assets. A recent entry to the American exchange is first pure-play uranium company to trade on this exchange: Uranerz Energy (URZ). Uranerz is now the second publicly traded company, after Cameco Corp, in which investors can also trade stock options. The announcement was made at the end of January.




After those, there are a number of different companies with some prospects better than others. However, before reviewing those, let’s look at what could well become the world’s second largest uranium company, by market capitalization, after Cameco Corp. On early Monday morning, Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper published a report that Johannesburg- and Toronto-listed SXR Uranium One (TSX: SXR) planned to acquire TSX- and AIM-listed UrAsia Energy (TSX: UUU) for approximately $3 billion. In what has been announced as a friendly take-over, SXR Uranium One plans to issue some $3.1 billion in stock to buy UrAsia. Before the announcement, SXR was valued at less than CDN$2 billion.

In previous interviews with SXR Uranium One chief executive Neal Froneman, he has repeatedly told us he wishes to list on a U.S. stock exchange. If and when the acquisition closes – it was announced that it should by mid May of this year – the new Uranium One would hold uranium properties on four continents: Africa, Australia, Asia and North America. SXR’s Dominion uranium mine should begin producing this March. UrAsia Energy is currently producing in Kazakhstan. SXR’s Australian ‘Honeymoon’ in situ leach uranium operation is scheduled to start producing in early 2008.

According to Canada’s national newspaper, the combined companies have the potential to annually produce some 19 million pounds by 2012. That’s about what Cameco Corp’s Cigar Lake was expected to produce before the mine flooded this past October. Since then, Cameco has delayed in announcing when the company believes its uranium mine will actually be in shape to produce uranium.

Based upon our conversations with Neal Froneman, and in light of this new business combination creating the world’s second largest uranium mining company, it shouldn’t be too far into the future when Uranium One announces it plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange. The headline of their February 12th news release announced, “Uranium One and UrAsia Energy Announce Combination to Create Emerging Senior Uranium Company.” Aside from Cameco Corp, there really is no other senior pure play uranium company.

As for the rest of the companies now trading on the over the counter bulletin board, we have reviewed two which offer hope to investors. Uranium Energy (OTC BB: URME) plans to mine uranium using the in situ recovery (ISR) method. Chief operating officer Harry Anthony appears to be one of the boys in the ISR club with decades of experience behind him. He lives and works in south Texas.

After extensive interviews with Mr. Anthony – which we used in our publication “Investing in the Great Uranium Bull Market” in explaining the ISR method of mining – it became evident to us that if Anthony couldn’t get an ISR operation functioning in Texas, that no one else on the planet was likely to do so. From what we understand, Uranium Energy could be producing uranium by 2009 on its Goliad property.



Another newcomer seems to be doing very well, Yellowcake Mining (OTCBB: YCKM). While it appears to be a ‘new company,’ the company’s property is not. Yellowcake Mining acquired the Juniper Ridge (Wyoming) property from powerhouse Strathmore Minerals (TSX: STM; OTC: STHJF) on January 30th. Previous drilling through 1979 outlined up to 15 million pounds of uranium. Plans were made in that year to build a 2000-ton/day mill. But, that was the year when uranium demand fell off, and the mill was never built. With the uranium price continuing to head higher, Yellowcake Mining stands to benefit from uranium-friendly Wyoming and some of Strathmore Mineral’s expertise in the form of David Miller.

There are two other major uranium companies, both with market capitalizations in excess of C$1 billion: Denison Mines (TSX: DML) and Paladin Resources (TSX: PDN). Both are producing uranium companies and highly respected in many circles for their separate achievements. The business combination of International Uranium Corporation and Denison Mines has gone smoothly so far. Dissatisfied with producing in just Namibia, Paladin now hopes to mine uranium elsewhere in Africa and possibly in Australia. Both foreign companies could be candidates for future U.S. stock exchange listings.

In 2006, uranium prices nearly doubled. While 2007 has seen uranium slowly creep higher – now at US$75/pound, many analysts believe uranium could trade above US$100/pound before this year ends. If that’s the case, then we might expect a number of uranium companies pursuing a listing on either the New York or American stock exchanges over the next few years.

Next Uranium Auction to Fetch $80/Pound?

The weekly TradeTech uranium spot price indicator remained unchanged for a third straight week, but Tuesday’s sale of 100,000 pounds U3O8 could result in another record price spurt. According to Nuclear Market Review (NMR) editor Treva Klingbiel, “This lot of material represents an opportunity for buyers to secure material at a fixed price and is expected to be highly sought after.”

It's been two months since the last uranium auction. That one led to a record price jump in yellowcake. How will this auction compare? It could be an eye-opener.

Klingbiel pointed out in the February 16th issue of NMR, “The majority of other supply currently available to potential buyers is being offered with market-related pricing terms at time of delivery.” Utilities and other buyers hesitate to accept U3O8 and related product under these terms. As a result, the spot uranium price has remained nearly unchanged for the past two months, aside from a small percentage increase at the end of January.

Activity has come to a standstill at these lofty price levels. Uncertainty about remediation efforts by Cameco Corp at its Cigar Lake uranium project has left buyers and sellers at odds with each other. As TradeTech has told us during this two-month stalemate, buyers are nervous about paying these prices, while sellers are confident they can get even higher prices. Three weeks before the Cigar Lake flood, we reported that some utilities believed the uranium price would decline to $30/pound. By mid December, the price had jumped another 50 percent above October’s high levels.

The significant problem buyers now face is being forced to blindly agree to purchase uranium without knowing the final price tag. Contracts for the sale of uranium lack a fixed price. Because contracts are written under ‘market-related pricing terms,’ U.S. utilities and others would never really know the final cost of their purchase until months later, when the product would be delivered. Buyers might worry the final price tag could be many percentage points higher than what they believed they might be paying.

In light of these market conditions, we believe the modest sale of 100,000 pounds U3O8 would likely result in a new record spot uranium price. Treva Klingbiel is accurate in her forecast for the February 20th auction – this uranium should be highly sought after. Numerous crystal ball gazers have predicted the spot uranium price should reach $80/pound after the sealed bids are opened next week. Some have called for an even higher price tag.

Canada Seen as Top Uranium Producer, But Stocks Say More

(SP) Toronto - Canada is seen as one of the world's top uranium producers but Canadian Exchange-listed uranium stocks say even more.

Canadian stocks rose to a record last week Friday. The Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index added 23.79, or 0.2 percent, to 13,311.95 in Toronto, its third record in as many days. The benchmark has risen 1.7 percent since Feb. 9, setting its fifth weekly gain in six weeks.

U.S. equity markets are closed today for the Presidents Day holiday.

Shares of SXR Uranium One Inc. (TSX: SXR) closed up 27 cents, or 1.6%, at $16.80 after reaching an intraday hi of $17.00, a new 52-week hi following news last week Monday of a proposed merger with UrAsia Energy Ltd (TSX.V: UUU). Just three year's ago Uranium One's forerunner (Aflease Gold & Uranium) was lifted from the brink of bankruptcy through aggressive uranium acquisition tactics, both properties and companies.

In late January, Uranium One chief financial officer Jean Nortier said, "Assets have become very expensive and it’s difficult to find value. It is a sign of the times that sellers of uranium assets are starting to reassess." Nortier's comments were made in an interview following the announcement that Rio Tinto Energy America, a business unit of London-listed Rio Tinto, had withdrawn from the sale of its Sweetwater uranium assets for which Uranium One was the preferred bidder.

Amongst the king of juniors, Bayswater Uranium Corp. (TSX.V: BAY) laid out plans to raise another $20 million in a brokered private placement. The Vancouver BC-based uranium exploration and development company now boasts that it is the only Canadian uranium mining company with "major landholdings in each of Canada's most important producing and exploration regions -- the Athabasca Basin, the Central Mineral Belt, and the Thelon Basin."

Similar in tactics to Uranium One, Bayswater has been managing to continue to find assets worth exploring for development while Nortier's backpedaling has done little to help the company's stock, and its no wonder. Many are skeptical of Uranium One's combination with UrAsia, saying the company paid a 21% premium to the 21-day moving average making the cost too high. While Bayswater has not entered into that kind of arena, making its private placement at today's closing price of $1.81 seem like a real bargain to Canadian investors, chances are there will be more properties coming onto the company's radar screen this year.

Freu mich schon darauf, wenn wir hier mal so abziehn wie Mawson die letzten Wochen, und vor allem heute (ob das gut geht?) - wenn es bei BAY auch mal Ergebnisse gibt.

Bin bei Mawson zu früh raus, nach einer fast 1-jährigen "Durststrecke" (wo man schon vom Flop sprach) - hab einen Teil hier in BAY angelegt . Wird sich hoffentlich mehr als gut rechnen .

Die Entwicklung von BAY finde ich viel gesünder - nicht so extreme Anstiege, dafür kontinuierlich - und viiiel mehr Volumen.

Pollinger ist besser als sein Ruf, sach ich mal so in den Raum!

Buffalo, Bayswater, Mawson, Tournigan, Zecotek, Tiger, Tennant, Exeter, Titan, Longview, Moto, Oriental

sind doch alle anständig gelaufen und laufen weiter!

und die Krücken Benchmark oder Pure Bio kommen auch langsam wieder.

Ich oute mich als Fan, denn wenn 1/3 der Empfehlungen richtig reinhaut, dann kann man bei den anderen 2/3 mit minus 50% aussteigen und man ist immer noch fein heraussen!

Beim Frick bleibt zu 90% Asche die vom Winde verweht wird!

ich würde dines nicht unterschätzen. er hat v.a. in nordamerika eine unglaubliche pricing-power. er war übrigens auch der erste, der im jahre 2000 auf den anstehenden uran-boom aufmerksam gemacht hat.

Ich bin ein absoluter Dines-Fan.

Es gibt auf der Welt ohnehin nur sehr wenige wirklich gute Experten, die sich an die Explorer trauen.

Mein Maßstab lag bei der Bewertung des Ups von sagenhaften 23% jedoch auf substanziellen News.

Wobei heiße Luft aus dem After von Dines sicherlich mehr Substanz hat, als alles, was die RohstoffRaketen und Frick in 5 Jahren je produziert haben - und in 50 Jahren je produzieren werden.

Ich vergleiche gern mit Mawson Res. , die ich gut 1 Jahr gehalten habe (jeder vergleicht mit dem was er kennt).
Und die aufgrund einer Dines Empfehlung Ende Dez.06 raketenhaft anstieg, und seitdem nicht mehr wirklich konsolidierte (gegen meine Erwartung von Raketen).
Im Gegenteil: diese Woche ging es noch weiter hoch - einfach Wahnsinn. Und steht per gestern SK bei EUR 2,00.

Ich persönlich stehe gegenüber Mawson skeptischer als gegenüber Bayswater.
So gesehen erwarte ich bei Bayswater, dass sie weiterläuft. Vielleicht "zündet" sie noch mal ein paar Mal einige "Stufen".
Das Volumen gestern von gut 3,5 Mio. Stk. ist ja total beeindruckend (wieder im Vergleich zu Mawson).

Die Frage ist nur, wie es weitergehen kann. Explorer bleibt Explorer.
Auch eine Forsys stieg voriges Jahr (lt.Chart) von CAN-$ 1 auf fast 2,88, um dann wieder auf ca. 1,2 zurückzufallen. Nun steht sie bei $ 8,45. Ob uns so ein Rückgang heuer erspart bleibt??

Glaubst du alles, was irgendwo im WWW gepostet wird? Wie würdest du den Anstieg interpretieren, wenn Du nicht nur diese fadenscheinige Äußerung hättest sondern wüßtest, das Dines nicht am Freitag sondern bereits schon am Donnerstag etwas zu seinen Uranempfehlungen gesagt hat? Und das auch nicht über den einem breiteren Publikum zugänglichen Letter sondern über den nur einem wesentlich kleineren Leserkreis zugänglichen und recht teuren eMail Service. Und wie würdest Du ein solches Volumenen für BAY interpretieren, wenn du darüber hinaus wüßtest, das Dines zu BAY lediglich erwähnt hat, das sie sich zur Zeit im Korrekturmodus befindet - also keine konkrete Kaufempfehlung ausgesprochen hat?

Dines hat zwar viel Power - aber ableiten zu wollen, seine "Jünger" hätten wegen einer lapidaren Bemerkung am Freitag eben mal 3,5 Mio Stück gekauft ist doch sehr gewagt.

Vorsichtig mit der Vermutung "heiße Luft". Der aktuelle Anstieg hat m.E. relativ wenig mit Dines zu tun.

Hi!
Ich bin seit letztem Sommer in BAY (bzw. dem Vorgänger) investiert und möchte zum Insidertrading anmerken:

DR hält Unmengen von Stücken vieler Companies. Er ist nicht nur Manager, sondern auch Trader. Ich folge ihm schon lange Zeit und fahre damit nicht schlecht. Wenn er sich von kleineren, billig erworbenen Posis trennt, ist das nachvollziehbar und hat mit BAY nicht viel zu tun.

Es ist jedermann gut beraten, sich die filings von BAY anzusehen. Darin und auch in den NRs ist schön nachzulesen, auf welchen Grundwerten BAY aufgebaut ist. Kanada, der zweitgrößte Uranoxidförderer der Welt, hat drei U3O8 Zonen, in denen BAY riesige properties hält. Die sind zuem Teil schon Luftvermessen und derzeit werden an den interessantesten Anomalien Bohrungen durchgeführt. Es gibt noch nichts, aber nach dem Cameco-Malheur gilt es, diese Ausfälle längerfristig zu kompensieren. BAY hat sehr gute Chancen, davon zu profitieren.

Dines hat im Sommer mit genau dieser Denkensweise sehr viel Phantasie zu den Anlegern gebracht un der Sommerausbruch war einzig sein Verdienst. Er steht heute noch ungebrochen zu seiner Einschätzung. Klar sind Trader ebenfalls aufgesprungen - dumm wären sie, wenn sie es nicht täten. Bei welchen Titeln noch kann man Fehlspekulationen in großer Ruhe "aussitzen"?

Ich gebe ehrlich zu, auch daran gedacht zu haben, meine ca. 100% in ruhigerer Gewässer zu fahren - aber warum habe ich denn eigentlich investiert? Genau - um Ergebnisse zu sehen! Und die warte ich erst mal in aller Ruhe ab!

Als Timerange gönne ich mir mal Ultimo 2007, dann sehe ich weiter. Bis dahin werde ich noch oft "Disposition in the common market" lesen, allerdings auch genau so oft "Acquisition ...".

Ruhig Blut, in diesem Thread gibt es etliche User der ersten Stunde, die heute schon in aller Gelassenheit den Lauf der Dinge verfolgen. Es macht Spaß Werte im Depot zu haben, die quasi nicht mehr "rot" werden können!

Die Frage ist, ob dieser Uran Hype eine Blase wird, oder dann doch das hohe Niveau hält.
Auch wenn es bei div. Explorern übertrieben ist bzw. sein dürfte.

Dzt. schaut es danach aus, dass es weitergeht. Wenn auch mit kurzzeitigen Seitwärtskonsoldierungen.
Vor allem, wenn die Prognosen für den Uranpreis halten.
Und die öffentliche bzw. Politiker - Meinung weiter gegenüber Urankraftwerke so positiv bleibt (was ich persönlich nicht unbedingt so befürworte).

Der Uran-Hype ist keine Blase. Die Einstellung ändert sich dzt. grundlegend. Atomkraftwerke sind zwar die gefährlichste Energiequellen, aber auch die effizientesten. Der Energiebedarf steigt exponentiell (3.Welt), getrieben auch von der Imissionsproblematik.
Der Camecoausfall wird -falls die Mine nicht mehr zu retten ist- den Uranpreis weiter treiben (wir reden hier vom Ausfall von fix verplanten -zig Mio. Pfund)!
Mit dem "sell-on-good-news" hast du prinzipiell Recht. Das trifft aber eher hochgezockte Werte, von denen man weiß, dass sie wieder auf die "wahre Fantasie" zurückfallen. Wie sieht das bei BAY aus? Das ist ein Junior mit 4 Assen im Ärmel. Man könnte so handeln, hängt immer von der timerange ab. "sell-on-good-news" habe ich auch bei großen Werten erlebt!
Seitdem sage ich: "Die sind auch nicht besser".

Die sind nicht abhängig von Pusherblättchen. Aber von den div. Analysten. Diese können so einen Wert auch schnell stark hinunter treiben. Und die anschließende Erholung relativ lange dauern.

Für die newbies (natürlich müssen die kanadischen Entfernungen beachtet werden)

Im Norden Saskatchewans ist eine der größten Uranlagerstätten der Welt. Viele Miner tummeln sich dort, traurige Berühmtheit erlangte Cameco (der weltgrößte Uranproduzent), weil ihnen Cigar Lake "absoff".
Ob die Mine zu retten ist, wird man erst sehen.

Das Athabasca-Projekt von BAY ist auch in der Gegend. Hat den Vorteil heute schon zu wissen, dass BAY fündig wird, aber den Nachteil, dass der Bergbau nicht ganz unproblematisch ist. Schön wäre natürlich eine "open pit" Förderung, mal sehn in welcher Tiefe die inzeressantesten Strikes liegen werden.

Mir persönlich mißfällt nur, dass BB-Schreiberlinge auf unsere Super-Geschichte mitaufgesprungen sind und demzufulge Heerscharen von Zockern und Lemmingen hier antanzen werden.

Um hier eines klarzustellen:

1. Die Werte, die ich tatsächlich HALTE (also rund 10 der 90 Werte, die ich bei Blödstrasse-Anleine vorgestellt habe), sind aus meiner Sicht absolut Top - und zwar auf lange Sicht.

2. Bayswater zählt zu den Werten, die ich tatsächlich halte.

3. Das Kurspotential von Bayswater muss und wird sich noch erst entfalten - dazu grhören aber grundsätzlich fundamentale Neuinformationen, die den Wert der Firma nachhaltig verbessern.

4. Ich gehe davon aus, dass diese Informationen kommen werden - sonst wäre bei mir Punkt 2 auch nicht erfüllt.

5. Wer - und ob überhaupt jemand - diesen Wert empfiehlt ist bei mir zweitrangig - allein auf die Ergebnisse ist Wert zu legen.

Meinst Du wirklich?
Nach dem Hinweis von BV am 13.2.07 wurde in DE nicht viel mehr gekauft. Kurstreibend waren sie jedenfalls nicht. Befürchtet schon ein wenig, dass ich da (wieder) ein einem marktengen Wert wäre.
76.000 in FFM letzten Freitag ist nicht die Hölle - auf keinen Fall vergleichbar mit dem Anstieg der Käufe in CAN.

Diese Aktie ist bereits ausgebrochen, siehe Jahreschart..sollten Uran Aktien weiterlaufen, dann
dürfte man auch hier nicht viel falsch machen, siehe rechten Chart, über Kanada sind Käufer drann, Tradingziel 1,65-1,75

Die Qualität von BAY bleibt aufrecht - hat mit daytradern nicht viel zu tun!
Ich glaube -obwohl ich stets meine eigene Strategie anwende- dass man von NoggerT sehr viel lernen kann. Er macht kein Hehl daraus, großteils zu zocken und seine wenigen Depotwerte haben ebenfalls eine Traumperformance! Was mir Respekt abringt ist, dass er sich knallhartan seine Limits hält - die guten und die schlechten.
Ich sage mal frei nach Kostolany: 49 Mal verloren, 51 Mal gewonnen, die Differenz hat mich reich gemacht.
Kostolany ist mehrmals verarmt, NoggerT detto - ich noch nicht, aber ich bin auch viel, viel vorsichtiger (und deshalb auch noch nicht so reich wie die)!

Super Schluß in CAN: +/- 0% bei $ 2,42 und 1,746 Mio. Stk.
Eine Konsolidierung, man kann ja nicht sagen eine "stärkere Konsolidierung", hätte mich nach dem Anstieg vorige Woche nicht gewundert - und mich zum Aufstocken verführt.

Vielleicht geht es auch hier so weiter wie bei meinem Referenzwert Mawson (heute $ 3,42, +12,13%). Im Vergleich sehe ich uns (erst) bei "Stufe 2". Sehen wir bei BAY auch bald € 2,20?

Lieber würden wir aber News sehen, die das Ganze untermauern. Da fehlt es hier und dort.

Das wohl weil die weltbörsen heute meist zt 3-4% verloren haben.
Die riskinvests werden ungleich stärker abgestaft, wen es wirklich mal crashen sollte an den hauptbörsen, weht uns explorer fans ein eisiger wind ins gesicht.

eigentlich muss einem das ja nicht jucken, doch leider tradet DR seine companys recht regelmässig und er liegt oft recht gut mit dem was er macht.
beispiel DRs buffalo gold, da gabs im sommer 06 ein PP von 15mio$ bei 1,75$, diese range um die 1,75$ war lange ein prima boden. DR hatt dan angefangen buffalo stücke zu verkaufen, von 1,8-1,6$. und im anschluss gings prompt auf fast 1$. Bei den lows nahe 1$ haben seine käufe angefangen und halten bis gestern an, und prompt gings da zwischenzeitlich wieder hoch auf ca 1,8$!

von dem her weiss der meist schon genau was er tut und wo er eher kauft und wo verkauft

Offensichtlich glauben doch die meisten Käufer, die am 26.2. NoggerT gefolgt sind, an BAY. Sonst wäre beim, von NoggerT empfohlenen, Stopp-Kurs von € 1,45 viel mehr verkauft worden. Da war lt. Chart "nur" ein Volumen von ca. 50.000 Stk.

Bayswater Provides Update on Projects and Operations
Wednesday March 7, 10:12 am ET

VANCOUVER, BC--(MARKET WIRE)--Mar 7, 2007 -- Bayswater Uranium Corporation (CDNX:BAY.V - News) is pleased to provide a project and corporate update as follows:

1. Five additional claims comprising approximately 12,000 acres have been staked in South Thelon Basin along one of the main basement structures that extends through the central portion of its land holdings. Areva (formerly Cogema) previously held this ground and carried out a detailed EM survey in the 1990's. This ground adjoins land forming part of the Canada Uranium Joint Venture with Strongbow Exploration Inc. Land subject to the JV, exclusive of these newly acquired claims, comprises a total of 164,652 acres in two blocks in South Thelon Basin. VTem surveying is planned to commence on these claims at the beginning of April in order to evaluate this structure for conductive zones favourable for high grade, Athabasca type unconformity uranium deposits.

2. 332 additional claims in one contiguous block have recently been staked by the Company adjoining land along the southeastern margin of its claim block on the Central Mineral Belt Uranium Project, Labrador. The claims cover radiometric anomalies reflecting granitic rocks and zones of radioactive sandstones requiring further prospecting. Further assessment and review of the results of the airborne survey and follow-up prospecting are continuing from last seasons work. Numerous targets throughout Bayswater's large land holding require further prospecting which will be undertaken this summer.

3. The Company is still waiting for final results from its very limited follow-up prospecting program last year in North Thelon Basin. Preliminary results indicate anomalous uranium contents were obtained from grab samples, with assay values ranging from about 0.02% to 0.30% U3O8, collected from a number of the airborne radiometric anomalous zones examined. Once the data and final report is received the Company will report the results in greater detail.

4. A compilation of previous exploration and government data from the Company's North Thelon Basin properties and the Athabasca Basin property are currently underway. This data will provide further information in regards evaluating these properties and targets developed for detailed exploration.

5. The airborne VTem survey in Athabasca Basin, currently underway over the Company's 1.7 million acre land holding as reported in a news release dated January 24, 2007, is to date about 60% completed. Two Geotech helicopter systems are currently operating in the field. This survey will comprise at least 14,000 line km making it one of the largest airborne EM surveys ever carried out in this prospective basin. The survey should be completed by the end of March at which time both helicopter systems will commence surveying the central basin portion of the Company's land holdings in South Thelon Basin that were not flown last year. The survey in South Thelon Basin will comprise about 10,000 line km. Ground follow-up of favourable basement conductive zones indentified as a result of these surveys will commence once the results of the surveys have been reviewed and assessed. In addition, follow-up with ground geophysics will commence shortly on the Company's favourable basement conductor targets identified as a result of a Fugro MEGATEM survey flown over a portion of the land holdings last year. Aurora Geosciences out of Yellowknife has been contracted to carry out this work commencing in early April, 2007. The survey work will be designed to define targets for future drill testing. Also, a fixed wing survey consisting of magnetometer, radiometric and VLF surveys will be flown over the Company's landholdings around the margins of the southern Thelon Basin once the snow has melted in early to mid June, 2007. Further ground follow-up of all prospective targets is planned for this summer.

6. The Company reports that the exploration syndicate with Gold-Ore Resources Ltd and Santoy Resources Ltd., with which it was an equal partner in the exploration of two concessions in Gualemala, has been terminated and the land holdings in Guatemala will be allowed to lapse. Exploration on this property failed to identify targets of interest.

7. The Company also reports that Janice Davies has resigned as corporate secretary. Marion McGrath has been appointed in her place as corporate secretary. The Company thanks Ms. Davies for her long and devoted service to Pathfinder and more recently to Bayswater subsequent to the merger last year. This change was made necessary due to the need to centralize administrative functions as a result of the Company recently hiring a full time controller who works from the iOCorporate Services office in Vancouver.

8. Closing of the Company's brokered private placement to raise up to $20 million as announced January 23, 2007 is scheduled to close March.8, 2007.

Uran ist ein extrem seltenes Material. Experten schätzen, dass die weltweiten Vorräte gerade noch für die nächsten 50 Jahre reichen werden. In dieser Berechnung ist jedoch der stetig steigende Weltbedarf nicht mit berücksichtigt. Immer mehr Staaten entscheiden sich zum Bau weiterer Atomkraftwerke, um der Abhängigkeit von fossilen Brennstoffen zu entfliehen. Ganz klar, dass die Erschließung neuer Uran-Lagerstätten von großer Wichtigkeit ist.

Die Bayswater Uranium Corporation (Nachrichten) ist ein junger Uran-Explorer mit Projekten in Kanada und dem Niger. Zudem verfügt das Unternehmen über eine Liegenschaft in Avoca im Südosten Irlands. In Kanada betreibt Bayswater Uranium insgesamt vier Projekte.Â

Ein Glücksfall für Bayswater Uranium, denn heute hat sich Uran extrem verteuert. Aktuell kostet ein Pfund Uran bereits über 80 USD. Im Jahre 2002 lag der Preis noch bei 10 USD. Die restlichen Projekte in Kanada verfügen über eine ähnliche Qualität. Dazu gehört z.B. auch die Liegenschaft in der Region Athabasca. Bayswater Uranium besitzt dort 1,5 Mio. Lately every stock spin-off or merger that involves two juniors has been a sell-off.

I hope their isn't a sell-off for people still holding but it's not the best news. Why would a super uranium jr need properties in the USA unless they knew their properties here in Canada are not going to produce any mineable resources in the next 3 years.

If Bayswater management is thinking that the USA is the place to be then companies like UUL, UPC and TEL with advanced stage properties in the USA are better investments(further along than Kilgore) that other uranium jr's exploring in Canada. So much for CXX, RSC and DIT unless they go out looking for mergers with UUL,UPC and TEL.

Perhaps the tide is turning, the investing public wants to buy into producers and near-term producers and Bayswater can see the writing on the wall.

Interesting news.. guess we'll find out how much the market likes or dislikes the news.

Börsenticker aus St. Valentin (aktiencheck.de AG) - Die Experten von "bullVestor" raten bei der Aktie von Bayswater Uranium (ISIN CA0731731067/ WKN A0KE57) nachzufassen.

Bei den Untersuchungen für Uranvorkommen sei Bayswater auf einem ihrer Explorationsgebiete auf so genannte "Kimberlite Pipes" gestoßen. In diesen Gesteinsformationen kämen häufig Diamanten vor. Diese Meldung verleihe Bayswater einen ganz neuen Anstrich. Aus dem größten Uranexplorer Kanadas werde plötzlich ein Uran/Diamanten Explorer, eine sehr seltene Kombination.

Bayswater sei für die Experten eine fixe Größe in der kanadischen Explorationslandschaft und werde nun mit einem Schlag um eine weitere Facette reicher. Diamanten in Kanada, viele würden sie verbissen suchen aber der Erfolg sei oft minimal. Bayswater finde die Anzeichen beinahe zufällig. Dennoch werde vermutet, dass gerade in Kanada die größten Diamantenreserven der Welt schlummern würden.

Diese Geschichte erinnere ein wenig an den Diamantenexplorer GGL Diamond der erst vor kurzem eine Nickel Entdeckung gemacht habe. Die Börse habe übertrieben und der Kurs sei von 0,15 CAD auf ein Tageshoch von 1,50 CAD geschossen und notiere jetzt bei 0,59 CAD. Die Wertpapierexperten würden nicht denken, dass Bayswater so hochschießen werde, da noch keine konkreten Ergebnisse vorliegen würden.

Looking back on the releases from Bayswater labrador project they have pulled some eye popping Uranium samples at 6.9% and now they are drilling it.

Gotta love it.. Its a total BUY in this range before the drill results come pouring out and sends us shooting much much higher!!

BAYSWATER RESUMES LABRADOR URANIUM PROJECT DRILLING WITH TWO DRILLS

Bayswater Uranium Corp. has resumed normal exploration activities at its Central mineral belt uranium project in Labrador following a temporary shutdown as a result of the recent tragic helicopter accident that claimed the life of the pilot.

Diamond drilling has resumed with two drill rigs. The company anticipates drilling will continue well into November, 2007, followed by a temporary shutdown during winter until the spring of 2008.

To date, 57 drill holes totalling approximately 10,300 metres have been completed on the Stipec A, Stipec E, Anna Lake, Kanairiktok Bay and Dandy uranium targets as well as on a new prospect discovered this year north of the Anna Lake prospect. A total of up to about 13,000 metres of drilling in approximately 67 holes is planned to be completed this year.

Assay results have been exceptionally slow in coming this year because of backlogs at the assay laboratory. Once sufficient drill results have been received, results will be released accordingly. To date, the company has intersected numerous zones of anomalous radioactivity in drill holes across true widths ranging from approximately two to 40 metres, in particular on the Anna Lake and Dandy uranium prospects. The anomalous radioactivity is based on downhole scintillometer probe work.

Currently, two drills are in operation on the main Anna Lake target. Detailed follow-up grid-controlled work, including soil sampling, ground induced polarization/resistivity and magnetics, have been completed over the Anna Lake prospect. Limited grid-controlled surveys have also been completed over portions of the Stipec River prospects. The company will report on this work as well when sufficient sample results have been received and all the geophysical data have been reviewed and evaluated (note: preliminary results from the IP survey as well as an extensive airborne EM and magnetic survey were previously reported in Stockwatch news).

Follow-up of 2007 airborne EM anomalies and continued follow-up prospecting of airborne radiometric anomalies generated last year have led to discovery of several new uranium prospects. The company will also report on this work when sufficient sample assay results have been received.

During September and early October, radon gas surveys were conducted over a number of targets including a new radioactive sandstone-boulder field located in the Stipec River area as well as the Anna Lake and Ghost Lake A and Ghost Lake B targets. Encouraging results from this work have been obtained and are currently being evaluated.

Airborne radiometric and magnetic surveying of new peripheral claim blocks, acquired after completion of the 2006 airborne surveys, as well as on joint venture ground pursuant to the agreement with Ucore Uranium Inc., has been completed. Numerous anomalous radiometric targets were identified from this survey in all areas surveyed and follow-up prospecting has been completed on many priority targets. Follow-up work identified new areas of uranium mineralization and assay results from this work are also pending.

In summary, the company is encouraged by the results from drilling to date as indicated above. Results from the company's follow-up prospecting, soil sampling, ground geophysics and radon gas surveying have also identified several areas warranting further work, including drilling. A complete report on results of drill hole assays, ground and airborne geophysical surveys, and rock and soil geochemical surveys will be forthcoming as analytical results are received and data are assessed and evaluated.

In other news, the company has requested the TSX Venture Exchange to halt trading in its securities pending a subsequent news release.
