      http://www.ftd.de/unternehmen/industrie/:riesiges-foerderfel…

Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 39.775.446 von sonnenstern2709 am 05.07.10 09:26:57Encore Oil announced that the Catcher South West Appraisal (28/9-1Y) sidetrack well, located in the UK Central North Sea, has successfully encountered excellent quality oil bearing Cromarty sandstones. The well was drilled to a total depth of 6,255ft Measured Depth and initial analysis indicates 68ft of net hydrocarbon pay over a gross vertical reservoir interval of 261ft. A vertical hydrocarbon column of 173ft was encountered with an oil water contact coincident with that seen in the Catcher Discovery well. The 28/9-1Y appraisal well completes this phase of the Catcher area drilling. However, Premier and its co-venturers have decided to acquire additional site surveys over potential drilling locations in block 28/9 and further exploration wells are planned for later this year or early 2011, subject to rig availability. Encore has 15% equity in the 28/9 licence, with Nautical Petroleum (LON:NPE) holding 15% and Premier Oil (LON:PMO) holding 35%.

      Completion of Sale of Assets
      RNS Number : 0584Q
      EnCore Oil PLC
      28 July 2010

      Press Release

For immediate release: 28 July 2010

EnCore Oil plc ('EnCore' or 'the Company')

Completion of Asset Sale to Egdon Resources

Further to the announcement on 22 March 2010, EnCore Oil plc (LSE: EO.) is please to announce the completion of the transfer of the group's onshore UK assets together with its interest in the offshore UK Ceres gas field to Egdon Resources plc ("Egdon"; LSE: EDR), in return for a consideration of 39,200,000 ordinary shares in Egdon. The transfer of EnCore's onshore France assets to Egdon, for which sale and purchase agreements have been signed, will complete later in the year upon gaining French regulatory consent, at which time Egdon will pay EnCore £100,000 in cash.

The 39,200,000 Egdon consideration shares have been allotted to EnCore, representing 29.998 per cent of the enlarged share capital of Egdon, and will be admitted to AIM on 29 July 2010.

      Completion of the transaction has also triggered a number of other terms of the agreement, namely;

      · The appointment of Alan Booth, EnCore's Chief Executive Officer as a Non-Executive Director of Egdon, to take immediate effect and to last for a period of five years thereafter, provided that either EnCore holds 15 per cent. or more of the share capital of Egdon or is the largest shareholder of Egdon.

      · The establishment of a Technical Services Agreement under which EnCore will provide Egdon with technical, commercial and accounting services, to be charged on a day-rate basis.

      · The provision by EnCore to Egdon of a loan facility of up to £1.5 million, available for a two year period from 29 July 2010, at an interest rate of 10% or LIBOR plus 5% if greater.

      · The commitment by EnCore to retain its shareholding in Egdon for a minimum of 12 months from 29 July 2010 with orderly market provisions for a further 12 months.

      · A non-compete agreement under which, other than by agreement, Egdon will restrict its offshore activities in the UK to operations in the immediate area of Ceres and EnCore will restrict its onshore operations in the UK and France.

Commenting on the completion, Alan Booth, EnCore's Chief Executive Officer said:

"The transaction with Egdon has placed a tangible and transparent valuation on our onshore portfolio and I look forward to working with the Egdon Board to assist in the development of Egdon's portfolio. As the largest shareholder, EnCore will actively support and assist in Egdon's ambitious growth plans."

      Operational Review

      Catcher Drilling Programme
One well and two side-tracks were drilled during the period, all of which were on UK Central North Sea Block 28/9 which contained the Catcher prospect. All three wells were drilled using the Transocean Galaxy II heavy duty jack-up rig, in waters of just over 300 feet. EnCore is Operator of Block 28/9 and has a 15 per cent. interest in the Block.

The first well, 28/9-1 drilled the Catcher prospect and commenced in May 2010. This was a firm commitment well as part of the licence obligation, and resulted in a light oil discovery of a minimum 240 feet oil column with calculated net pay of 90 feet. The well reached a total measured depth (M.D.) of 5,219 feet with oil discovered in the target Cromarty sandstone level at 4,600 feet M.D.. A potential oil water contact was also intersected at 4,840 feet M.D.. Analysis of the discovery indicated light oil with an API of approximately 30 degrees, a Gas Oil Ratio (GOR) of 280 scf/bbl, viscosity at reservoir conditions of 4 centipose, sand porosities of approximately 34 per cent. and multi darcy permeability.

A drill stem test was performed on well 28/9-1 to determine flow rate characteristics but, although oil flowed naturally to the surface, due to a mechanical failure in the test string, a meaningful flow rate was not established. However, calculated flow rates and bottom hole and surface samples reaffirmed the next step to side-track to the Catcher East formation.

The Catcher East side-track (28/9-1Z), the second well to be drilled during the period, side-tracked 0.5km to the east of the original Catcher discovery into a Lower Eocene Tay formation prospect. The purpose of this well was to determine the presence of hydrocarbons to the East and whether the two accumulations were linked. The well was drilled to 5,931 feet M.D. with no oil water contact encountered. A 236 feet oil column was discovered with a net pay of 82 feet. The pressure data and other results from this second well proved that Catcher and Catcher East were a contiguous accumulation. EnCore has estimated that up to 300 mmbbls of Oil in Place is present in Catcher, Catcher East and the as yet undrilled Catcher North, and there are a number of other significant structures on the block.

The third well, started during the period and completed just after period end, was the 28/9-1Y Catcher South West Appraisal side-track. This side track was drilled downdip from the original Catcher discovery to better understand the characteristics of the Catcher reservoir and to determine the presence of additional reservoir sands. The well reached 6,255 feet M.D. and discovered a 173 feet hydrocarbon column with a net vertical sand thickness of 121 feet. Additional sands were discovered and the results will be integrated into our on-going evaluation of the Catcher accumulation.

EnCore's costs were carried by partners Premier Oil (uncapped) and Wintershall (capped) for the first well in the Catcher drilling campaign and cost to EnCore of the subsequent testing of the first well and two remaining side-track wells totalled less than £1 million.

Post period end, during July and August 2010, a number of site surveys have been carried out on the licence by Calegeo after which we intend to return to the Catcher area to drill between two and four exploration and appraisal wells. Discussions for a rig for this next phase continue and we expect to announce a rig contract in the coming weeks.

      Other Portfolio Activity
The sale to RWE Dea of our 15 per cent. interest in the Breagh gas field (UK Southern North Sea Block 42/13a) completed at the beginning of the period for a cash consideration of US$68.8 million. The details of the transaction were covered in some depth in our 2009 Annual and Interim Reports.

In December 2009, the semi-submersible JW McLean rig was contracted to drill an appraisal well at Cladhan in UK Northern North Sea Block 210/29a & 210/30a (EnCore 16.6 per cent.). The well commenced post period end on 6 August 2010 and results are expected within the next month. The well will help us gain a better understanding of the extent and thickness of the Upper Jurassic reservoir sands to ascertain the commerciality of the discovery.

Post period end, we also contracted Calegeo to carry out a site survey during summer 2010 over Block 14/30 in the UK Central North Sea (EnCore 40 per cent., Operator) which contains the Tudor Rose oil accumulation. Thorough technical work and evaluation has been carried out over the period and the outstanding issue now is one of oil quality and viscosity. We believe the oil to have an API of between 8.5 to the upper teens although this can only be proved with a well. We believe the volume of oil in place at Tudor Rose to be in excess of 500mm barrels, as such there may be potentially commercially recoverable volumes if we can demonstrate suitable oil properties and productivity characteristics.

Elsewhere, we commissioned AMEC to carry out a conceptual study to look at development options on the Cobra discovery, in UK Southern North Sea Blocks 48/1b, 48/1d & 48/2c (EnCore: 25 per cent., Operator). We are currently in discussions with infrastructure owners regarding potential export routes for Cobra gas before deciding upon the next steps with our partners. It is most likely that the development concept would be a normally unmanned platform with minimum facilities, linked by pipeline to the selected infrastructure. The 2008 well would be re-entered, to be completed as a production well after drilling a horizontal lateral with multiple fracture treatments. If development is sanctioned, subject to the tariff offer and positive project economics, along with availability of export capacity, first gas could be in Q4 2012.

      Onshore Portfolio / Egdon Resources
The transaction with Egdon Resources plc was signed in March 2010 and completed post period end on 28 July 2010. This transaction has seen our onshore portfolio (onshore UK and onshore France) along with our interest in the Ceres gas field (UK Southern North Sea Block 47/9c, EnCore 10 per cent.) transferred to Egdon in return for 39,200,000 ordinary shares in Egdon and £100,000 in cash upon completion of the transfer of the French licences. EnCore is now Egdon's largest shareholder with equity of just under 30 per cent. of Egdon's issued share capital, and Alan Booth, Chief Executive Officer of EnCore has been appointed to the Egdon Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director. Other aspects of the transaction include the provision by EnCore of a £1.5 million loan facility to Egdon and the establishment of a Technical Services Agreement under which EnCore will provide Egdon with technical, commercial and accounting services, to be charged on a day-rate basis. EnCore has also made the commitment to retain its shareholding in Egdon for a minimum of 12 months from the date of admission to trading on AIM of the Egdon shares issued in consideration (29 July 2010), with orderly market provisions for a further 12 months.

The Ceres gas field commenced production in late March 2010 and initial results suggest that productivity will be in line with expectations.

      Ireland
Progress on our Irish assets was limited during the period as the Operator, Island Oil & Gas plc was the subject of a takeover by San Leon Energy plc. We signed a collaboration agreement with Valhalla Oil & Gas Limited in December 2009 when the future of Island Oil & Gas plc was uncertain to allow us to exert additional control of our Celtic Sea assets. Pre-development studies were carried out during the period and discussions have taken place with infrastructure owner, Kinsale Energy, over prospective tariff arrangements for Old Head of Kinsale.

Applications have been made by the Operator to the Petroleum Affairs Division (PAD) in Ireland for lease undertakings on the Schull (Exploration Licence 5/05, EnCore 12.5 per cent.) and Old Head of Kinsale (Exploration Licence 4/05, EnCore 15.0 per cent.) licences to give the joint venture group a further period to reach a declaration of commerciality.

In light of the lack of progress during the year, the discussions held over tariff arrangements and future project economics, we made the decision that our Irish assets have been impaired and as such, have taken a £4.9 million write down on the assets this year.

      Gas Storage
During the period, we received the results of a reservoir simulation study carried out by Senergy, which confirmed the suitability of the Esmond field for gas injection and withdrawal in both the upper and lower reservoirs. The 2007 feasibility study from AMEC was also updated to take into account the changes in the development concept following the results of the November 2008 pressure test well on Esmond. Both these studies were done with a view to assisting the marketing of the project which began during the period. Jefferies has been commissioned to conduct the marketing process which is ongoing.

Encore Oil stages a swing into profit
      Daily Mail
      11 August 2010, 9:48am
Encore Oil swung back into profit after a difficult 2009 and hailed a mammoth oil discovery as cause for optimism.

Full-year profits before tax came in just above £9.5m, compared with a loss of £1.5m in the previous year.
Chairman Christine Wheeler said the discovery of the 300m barrel 'Catcher' oil field - the biggest North Sea oil find since 2001 - would be 'hugely significant'.

The group (up 1.75p to 57.75p) also booked a £22.9m gain on the sale of its 15% interest in the Breagh gas discovery to RWE Dea for nearly £44m.

EnCore Oil Announces Successful Cladhan Appraisal Well
      Tuesday, August 31, 2010

EnCore Oil plc provides an update on the Cladhan appraisal well located in UK Northern North Sea block 210/29a.

The appraisal well was drilled to a total measured depth of 11,215 feet, as a side-track into the Upper Jurassic channel sands, approximately 3,150 feet to the south of the original 2008 Cladhan discovery. The side-track encountered excellent quality oil bearing sandstones, resulting in a gross hydrocarbon column of 159 feet with 102 feet of net hydrocarbon pay. The sandstone has average porosity of 21 per cent. and average oil saturations of 86 per cent. No oil water contact has been observed.

Modular Dynamic Test sampling for both formation pressures and oil samples indicate good correlation of both oil type and reservoir pressure with the 2008 discovery well. The original discovery well and this side-track have together confirmed a total hydrocarbon column in excess of 273 feet.

Drill stem testing will now be performed after which the next phase of the appraisal programme will be to drill a second side-track down dip of the original discovery well in order to confirm the extent of the reservoir and seek to establish the oil water contact.

Alan Booth, EnCore's Chief Executive Officer, commented:
'This is a superb result from Cladhan and is at the upper end of our expectations regarding the quality and quantity of reservoir sands. This result supports the idea that Cladhan is a significant stratigraphic trap which has still not encountered an oil water contact. We look forward to the results of the testing and the second side-track in order to help us determine the oil water contact and thus the extent of Cladhan. Only once this information is to hand will we be able to determine the relevant development options of Cladhan and provide an informed estimate of the potential size of the field.

'Aside from this exceptional result at Cladhan, we are hopeful of returning to Catcher this autumn, dependent on the signing of a suitable rig contract which is nearing agreement, but not yet confirmed. The group will target between two and four further locations on the Catcher block which, as with Cladhan, will help determine the size of the overall discovery and future development options. This is a really exciting time for EnCore and we look forward to the results over the coming months.'

The equity in the Cladhan joint venture partnership is as follows: EnCore Oil plc (16.6 per cent.), Sterling Resources Ltd (39.9 per cent., Operator), Wintershall (UK North Sea) Limited (33.5 per cent.) and Dyas (10 per cent.).

      Ein Leckerli : ;)

      10th Ocotber 2010

Here are our tips for today

      ENCORE Oil

This is an exploration company with a difference with a great track record for finding oil, and lots of it, in the North sea.

We here at STG have invested heavily into this company believing that it's future is sealed with an excellent profitable opportunity for the private investor to reap rewards that would be very difficult to find in other AIM stocks.

Encore has a management team that has proven that it can and will continue to find oil. There are certain members of this team that were responsible for the amazing Buzzard find in the North Sea. Listening to the talk/whispers in the city, we believe that it's only a matter of time before the company is taken over by a larger oil company - we are talking within 6 months, possibly sooner. Rumours are circulating that there are on-going talks, regarding a bid based on Encore's results from Cladhan/Catcher/commerciability once they have proven oil in place, as of yet they still have to reach oil/water contact which is proving difficult due to the size of this find now having to do further drills - on this basis alone we believe a commercial find is inevitable. Remember this is in the North sea with political stability and infrastructure already set in place, but this is a company with a difference: look further into their finances to see they are debt free, they have cash in the bank, have a 30% stake in Egdon Resources, they have light oil which commands a $2 premium on US crude, gas storage facilities which are yet to be valued.

If the rumours are correct that are coming out of the city of London, then catcher is almost certainly a contender if not larger than Buzzard. As for Cladhan - this also has the potential, from what we are hearing, to compete with the Buzzard field which is producing in excess of 280,000 barrels of oil a day. Management have made it quite clear they are up for sale: we ask what exactly is up for sale and this is what the city is also asking. Are the management team included? We expect so - the feeling here is that there is no point buying just the company's name/assetts, that would be like buying a Yacht with no sails. Oil companies would rather have the very experience Encore team working with them rather than against them, thus taking the competiton out and bringing them on board makes perfect sense.

The value of this company is obvious in our opinion

      * 15% stake in Catcher and being the operators, possibilty of in excess of 1 Billion barrels of light oil
      * holding 16.5% in Cladhan which has been described by operators, Sterling Resources, as a Magnus type field which could hold up to 1 billion barrels of light oil
      * looking forward to the Tudor rose (heavy oil) discovery with a 40% stake and being the operators, with estimates up to 500 Million barrels and being in partnership with Nautical Petroleum (heavy oil specialists holding a 20% stake)

With this in mind we would be amazed if Encore were still trading by next April meaning an offer could come at any stage of the game and when it does it will start a snowball reaction for all the North sea competitors to jump on board. The likes of Premier oil and Wintershall will have to battle this one out - we know Alan Booth has the best interests of shareholders at heart putting himself into the same category as them, stating he is not working for a salary.

This company will make some private investors very rich indeed - we here at STG will wait for an offer of anywhere between £4 and £6 to buy Lock Stock and Barrel. In the mean time we will be increasing our holdings until the end of play is in sight - the city do not want you to know the secrets we are telling you, especially for free!

We see the current share price being very undervalued at the moment. We give it a £1.80 valuation.

Bookmark us and watch out for further tips in the future.

      Good luck and happy researching

      STG Team

      4 January 2011 - Varadero Oil Discovery

      Press Release

For immediate release: 4 January 2011

EnCore Oil plc (‘EnCore’ or ‘the Company’)

      Varadero Oil Discovery

EnCore Oil plc (LSE: EO.) is pleased to announce that the Varadero exploration well 28/9-2 located in UK Central North Sea block 28/9 was drilled to a Total Depth of 5,205 feet Measured Depth (M.D.) having successfully encountered excellent quality hydrocarbon bearing reservoir sandstones at 4,020 feet M.D. within the target Tay Sandstone level.

Initial analysis indicates the discovery of a 400 feet hydrocarbon bearing interval with a calculated net pay of 106 feet. Extensive wireline sampling and pressure testing of the hydrocarbon bearing zones have been undertaken and suggest the oil has an API of approximately 26 degrees. Analysis of the logs suggests excellent quality sands with average porosities of approximately 33 per cent.

The well will now be plugged and abandoned as planned and the Galaxy II rig will be moved to the Burgman prospect. Subject to any weather or operational delays, the rig should arrive at the Burgman location next week and a further announcement will be made upon the spud of the Burgman well.

Alan Booth, EnCore's Chief Executive Officer, commented:
“This is an excellent result at Varadero which further supports our view that Block 28/9 likely contains a series of accumulations in Tay "injectite" sands. We are becoming increasingly confident that the seismic data directly highlights the presence of high quality injectite reservoirs in Block 28/9 which, to date have all proven to be hydrocarbon bearing. This well also encountered deeper sands of Cromarty age (the principal reservoir in Catcher) although, as anticipated, they were not hydrocarbon bearing at the Varadero location. We now look forward to drilling at Burgman where we have targets in the Tay and Cromarty as well as the higher risk Jurassic Fulmar formation."

The equity in the Catcher joint venture partnership is as follows: EnCore Oil plc (15 per cent., Operator), Premier Oil (35 per cent.), Wintershall (UK North Sea) Limited (20 per cent.), Nautical Petroleum (15 per cent.) and Agora Oil & Gas (15 per cent.).

Peter Williams B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics and EnCore’s Group Technical Manager, who has over 35 years' engineering experience in the oil exploration and production industry, has reviewed and approved the technical information contained in this announcement.

      >>>Encore Oil.. Catcher North More oil hit?

Just a quick one here there’s a definite buzz around the market this morning carrying on from yesterday.

Unconfirmed rumours of further oil shows at the drill which is thought to be ahead of schedule and is on Encore’s last RNS just about half-way through the 20 day given time.

Take note that Nauticals’ sp is also rising which is further adding fuel to the rumours. Could be a big find about to be discovered here. But please remember it is as yet unconfirmed.

The operator has refused to confirm or deny the oil shows rumour but they are certainly rising on an expected rumoured further big oil discovery.<<<

Pence.
