OPERATIONS. For the quarter ending March 31, 2001 Registrant experienced a net loss of $388,553, which was comprised of its general and administrative expenses incurred at the corporate level of $323,372, net interest expense of $26,434 and loss on the sale of assets of $38,747. 83.2% of Registrant`s first quarter 2001 corporate expenses consisted of salaries and wages of $134,109 (41.5%), professional expenses of $88,418 (27.3%) and shareholder services and media promotion of $46,500 (14.4%). In comparison, during first quarter 2000 86.6% of Registrant`s corporate expense of $806,391 consisted of officers` salaries of $75,000 (9.3%), professional expenses of $128,023 (15.9%) and shareholder services and media promotion of $490,250 (60.8%). The increase in officers` salaries in 2001 over 2000 occurred primarily as a result of Dr. LiVecchi receiving an accrued annual salary of $75,000 in April 2000. The decrease in professional expenses in 2001 over 2000 occurred as a result of increased legal expenses in 2000 from the listing of Registrant`s stock for trading on a German exchange. The decrease in shareholder services and media promotion in 2001 over 2000 resulted from an agreement with a new shareholder relations firm being reached in 2000 and the commencement of a European product marketing campaign in 2000. Over 80% of the corporate expenses in 2001 were paid with Registrant`s common stock in order to preserve Registrant`s cash resources. Registrant expects its management salaries to be stable in the second half of 2001 until Registrant is required to appoint as many as two new outside Directors in order to obtain listing for its stock on the NASD NMS or Small Cap market. Registrant expects its professional expenses in 2001 to remain at a high level as a result of its continuing costs for its FDA application presently estimated at $18,000 per month. As Registrant continues its foreign marketing efforts in 2001, its promotional expenses will likely remain high.
As a result of the presentation of the Registrant`s patented equipment at the various conventions of ophthalmologists, in October 2000 Registrant executed a one-year option agreement with Ciba Vision which permits Ciba Vision to obtain the exclusive worldwide license to the patents rights and technology for Registrant`s PNT product. Registrant is hopeful a license agreement will be executed with Ciba Vision in 2001; however, at this time there is no assurance any definitive license agreement will ever be executed by Registrant.
LIQUIDITY AND CAPITAL RESOURCES. On a short-term and long-term basis Registrant requires only minimal capital to sustain its manufacturing of the patented equipment, because of Registrant`s current inventory levels. Because of the Registrant`s cash position at year-end and general and administrative expenses totaling approximately $3,000,000 per year, the Registrant suffered from a liquidity shortage during the first quarter of 2001. During the first quarter of 2001 Registrant was required to borrow a total of $66,000 from its three Directors. Unless substantial product sales are achieved in the near future, Registrant will continue to experience a liquidity shortage. There can be no assurance that Registrant`s product will be approved for sale in the United States by the FDA or when foreign sales will commence in a substantial number. Registrant will likely be forced to borrow additional funding from its management throughout the remainder of 2001; however, there is no assurance Registrant will be able to obtain any financing in the future.
On May 4, 1999 Registrant obtained a loan of $270,000 from a third party, bearing an annual interest rate of 18% and secured by Registrant`s equipment, inventory and accounts receivable, a security deposit of $40,000 from the loan proceeds and the personal guaranty of Registrant`s Chairman, G. Richard Smith. This loan is due in May, 2002 and bears 18% interest which is due monthly.
On a long-term basis, Registrant anticipates, without assurances, that the sale of its product in the U.S. and internationally will provide sufficient liquidity to the Registrant.
Through March 31, 2001 the Registrant received loans of $22,200 from each of G. Richard Smith and Gary R. Smith, the Registrant`s Chairman and President, respectively, and Dr. John T. LiVecchi, a Director. At March 31, 2001 Registrant had borrowed a total of $138,300 from each of G. Richard and Gary R. Smith, and $22,000 from Dr. LiVecchi. These loans accrue annual interest at the rate of 15%.

Sehr wichtig ist dieser Zwischensatz: Die Personalkosten bleiben auch im zweiten Halbjahr 2001 konstant, bis wegen der AUfnahme in die NASDAQ zwei Direktoren erforderlich sind. Ab 1.7.01 werden keine Werte in die NASDAQ aufgenommen, deren Wert <1 Dollar liegt!!!!

Hallo Lisafeuerstein,
der aktuelle Kurs ist derzeit nicht zu bestimmen, keiner verkauft. Nachdem ich die letzten 2 Wochen alles aufgekauft habe, was es so gibt habe ich seit drei Tagen noch einmal versucht, 10,000 Stück zu bekommen, keine Chance.
Deshalb kommt auch kein Kurs zustande.
Nimmst Du den US-Kurs /0.88 (ca Dollar/Euro), so kommst Du auf ca. 0.43 Euro.
Übrigens: Habe heute an Coronado geschrieben welche Pläne die haben um 1 Dollar zu erreichen bis zum Sommer 2001. Hoffentlich kein inverse-Split. Wenn es durch eine "normale" Kurssteigerung kommen würde, dann wäre das echt geil.

Also, wie versprochen, hier die Antwort von Coronado. R. Smith hat mir angeboten, ihn anzurufen, was ich gestern getan habe:
Frage nach NASDAQ Listung:
Nach einer erfolgreichen Einführung von PNT in der zweiten Jahreshälfte erwartet R. Smith dass der Aktienkurs über 1$ ansteigt, deshalb einem Listing an der Nasdaq nichts im Wege stehe. Nach meiner Frage, dass der Aktienkurs über 5$ stehen muss für ein Listing antwortete er, dass das vor Kurzem geändert wurde, der Börsenwert des Unternehmens muss über iener bestimmten Grenze liegen und das sei bei einem Aktienkurs über 1$ auf jeden Fall gegeben.
Frage nach PNT Einführung:
Derzeit läuft die Studie in Italien an, noch im Juni werden alle Patienten behandelt. Ergebnisse liegen dann im Juli vor. Dann wird auch der Vertrag mit Novartis unterzeichnet. Eine Einführung in der zweiten Jahreshälfte ist realistisch.
Frage nach Liquidität:
Derzeit keine Probleme. Novartis muss bei einem positiven Ausgang der Studie ein weiteres Milestone payment machen, damit sei die Liquidität auf längere Zeit gesichert.
Frage nach Zukunft:
Coronado arbeitet bereits an weiteren interessanten Projekten zur Behandlung von Augenkrankheiten. Diese sollen durch die Erlöse von PNT finanziert werden. Novartis möchte sich auch daran beteiligen.
So, das wars, siehtr doch ganz gut aus, oder?

Hey nochmal, ich habe vor 2 Wochen Coronado per Mail angeschrieben um zu hören wie sie sich den weiteren Werdegang ihres Unternehmens bzw. was sie gegen den momentanen Aktienkurs unternehmen wollen! Ganz zu schweigen von ihrem sogenannten Listing an der NASDAQ. Doch leider bekam ich gestern eine ganz lapidare Antwort ,, alles ist gut, die Studien laufen gut ``. Und das war alles !
Also ich wundere mich sehr über dieses Unternehmen bzw. die Aktionärs Betreuung.

Der ist zur Zeit in Italien und arbeitet an der Auswertung der
Studie. Laut Mr. Smith kommt er erst dieses Wochenende zurück,er
hatte noch ein paar Tage Urlaub angehängt und ich glaube nicht,
daß er Dir seine Telefonnummer in Italien gegeben hat. Wenn Du das Raging
Bull Board verfolgen würdest, hätteste mehr Infos. Genau so der Quatsch
daß es Wochen dauern würde, um 10.000 Stck. in USA zu ergattern. Hatte meine

8.000 Stck. letzte Woche an zwei Tagen zusammen und meine ersten 20.000 Stck.
im Juli auch an zwei Tagen. Also hau nicht so auf die Kacke.

ja das war es dann wohl. Novartis ist abgesprungen. Hatte schon so eine Vorahnung, nachdem
der Smith-Clan in letzter Zeit so viele Aktien auf den Mark geworfen hatte. Habe zum Glück
33.000 Stck. in USA zwischen 0,36-0,48 cent noch verkaufen können, so daß noch ein schöner Gewinn
übrig blieb. Wollte gestern noch meine letzten 7.000 Stück drüben für 0,30 cent loswerden, hat leider
nicht mehr geklappt, kann ich mir wahrscheinlich meine Wände mit tapezieren, da sie heute wohl keine
0,05 cent mehr wert sein werden. Auf jeden Fall ist Coronado erst mal mausetot und bevor die FDA kein
grünes Licht gibt, werden sie auch keinen neuen Partner finden. Auf der anderen Seite, wenn Novartis schon
aussteigt, können sie wohl mit den Testergebnisse nicht zufrieden gewesen sein. Ich bezweifle daher ob
die Vakuumpumpe jemals zum Einsatz kommen wird. Das miese an der Sache ist nur, daß die Smith Brüder
gestern nochmal 1,5 Millionen Aktien auf den Markt geworfen haben, den Kurs in den Keller gefahren haben
und wir kleinen wieder die angeschissenen sind. Ich hoffe ihr habt nicht zuviel verloren.

Natürlich wünsche ich mir dauerhaft steigende Kurse, daß sich die überschaubare Investition irgendwann lohnt.

Zu Coronado kann ich nicht soviel sagen,kenne den Wert erst ein paar Wochen.Aber zum OBB kann ich einiges sagen.Da waren sicherlich auch ein paar gute Tips dabei,wie z.B. Softnet,aber mir erscheint es so,als ob da wirklich meist Werte ausgesucht werden,die kaum Beachtung in Deutschland finden und dann kurz gut anlaufen,bevor sie wieder runtersacken.Möchte das nur als Warnung bezeichnen.Im Ariva-Forum schrieb einer,daß lediglich 3 Käufe zu dem 75% Anstieg geführt hätten.
