Der Suchmaschinenbetreiber Overture Services [Nasdaq: OVER Kurs/Chart ] hat mit seinem Ergebnis für das abgelaufene Quartal die Prognosen der Analysten weit übertroffen und wegen des anhaltend positiven Geschäftsverlaufs seine Planzahlen angehoben.
Das Unternehmen, dessen Kunden für die Aufnahme in das Suchmaschinenverzeichnis bezahlen, erzielte im vierten Quartal (bis 31.12.) einen Gewinn vor Sonderfaktoren von 24,5 Millionen Dollar bzw. 0,41 Dollar pro Aktie. Analysten hatten auf dieser Basis mit einem Überschuss von 0,19 Dollar kalkuliert. Inklusive Sonderaufwendungen verdiente Overture 20,8 Millionen Dollar bzw. 0,35 Dollar pro Aktie.
Der Umsatz stieg im Berichtszeitraum gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 154 Prozent auf 101,2 Millionen Dollar und ließ damit die Schätzungen der Profis um 12,3 Millionen Dollar hinter sich. Der sequenzielle (Quartal-zu-Quartal) Anstieg bei den Erlösen beträgt 40 Prozent.

Charttechnisch gesehen habe sich die Lage bei Overture innerhalb der letzten Handelstage verschlechtert. Seitdem die Notierung am Widerstand bei 35 US-Dollar gescheitert sei, bewege sie sich abwärts.
