meine prognose: tageshigh wieder nach 17.00 limit up!

200 Euronen in 5 Jahren?!?

(09.01.2007/ac/n/a)

Bank Austria vor Übernahme der russischen IMB
09.01.2007 15:02:00

Also...deshalb..Vozrozhdeniye Bank ist ein absolutes MUST HAVE in jedem wachstumsorientierten Depot
21.02.2007
Bank Vozrozhdenie plans to place new shares in April-May 2007
Russian niche bank Vozrozhdenie plans to issue 30mn new common shares (13.6% of the charter capital) in April-May 2007, Interfax reports, quoting the bank's deputy CEO Nikolai Orlov.
Vozrozhdenie expects to place all the shares on the open market, thus raising its free float to above 40% from the current estimated 30%.
We recently initiated coverage of Vozrozhdenie, which is an interesting niche player focusing on SMEs in Moscow and certain Russian regions, and using a service-based model that insulates it from interest rate cycles. The bank is currently the most expensive in our universe on P/BV and P/E multiples, although the placement should technically lower the former.
Yesterday, Vozrozhdenie's shares jumped 6.9% on the RTS to $62 per share, while the underlying index dropped 0.6%. The bank's shares gained 3.8% on the MICEX; the underlying index fell 0.83%
We have a Hold recommendation for Vozrozhdenie, with an end-2007 fair value of $54.8.

Bank Vozrozhdenie successfully placed its debut bond issue of RUB 3 billion
March 9, 2007
The debut issue of Bank Vozrozhdenie corporate ruble bonds was successfully placed through MICEX for the total amount of RUB 3 billion. Despite the high volatility of markets, the issue of Vozrozhdenie bonds was 1.6 times oversubscribed.
The Vozrozhdenie bonds were issued through open subscription at auction on MICEX. Investors placed about 40 orders totaling almost 5 billion rubles. The first coupons was set at 8.95% per annum according to the auction demand, lower than level forecast by the lead manager. Today this is one of lowest coupon rates among similar structured issues of banks rated B1 positive by Moody’s.
The maturity of the Bank Vozrozhdenie bonds is 3 years with a semi-annual coupon. The level of all coupons was set equal to the initial coupon according to the terms of the issue.
JSB “Gazprombank” (CJSC) was acted as lead manager of the issue. The syndicate included also Morgan Stanley Bank, Citibank, Standard Bank, International Moscow Bank and Absolut Bank. The main buying interest for the issue was from subsidiaries of foreign financial institutions and some Russian banks.
Vozrozhdenie Bank provides personal banking and business services to clients throughout the Russian Federation. The bank plans to use funds from the bond issue for granting loans to SME and providing its retail customers with consumer loans, particularly mortgages. “We are very pleased with the results of our first bond issue.” commented Nikolai Orlov, Vice-President of the Bank. “Notwithstanding the general pessimism of market, the bank successfully placed the whole issue and received one of the best interest rates. We are glad that investors trust us and believe in the future of the Russian banking sector.”

On Thursday, March 29, Vozrozhdenie Bank released its 2006 IAS financials. The bank’s assets stood at $2.79 bn (our estimate was $2.5 bn) and jumped 63% year-on-year. Equity surged 84% to $209 mn (our estimate was $211.7 mn). Net income advanced 61% to $30.5 mn (our estimate was $30.5 mn). Taking into account market cap of $1,273 mn and equity as of year-end 2006, P/B reached 6.09, which clearly beats the sector average.
The bank plans to float 3 mn common shares by open subscription in April-May. The bank’s strong financial results and successful previous placement makes us hopeful that this flotation will also be a success. We expect that, adjusted for the SPO, the bank’s equity capital will reach $454.9 mn on January 1, 2008. The corresponding P/B multiple of 3.19 indicates that Vozrozhdenie’s shares will experience major upside.

Bank Vozrozhdenie reports 2006 IFRS Profit of $30 million, up 61%
March 29, 2007
Moscow, 29 March 2007. Bank Vozrozhdenie (VZRZ) reported 2006 IFRS results today:
* Net Income of $30.4 million, up from $18.9 million
* Return on Equity (ROE) at 19% for a third year of strong returns
* Earning per share increased 53% to $1.48 from $0.97 the previous year
* Equity grew 84%, assets by 63%
* Market capitalization more than doubled to $1.2 billion at the end of 2006
Strong growth of small and medium sized (SME) businesses and increase in income of the middle class, the main client segments of Vozrozhdenie’s business, brought the Bank 15% faster growth in assets than the Russian banking system as a whole.
“We are pleased with our financial results which reflect our strong customer relationships,” commented Mr. Orlov. “The strength of the Bank is in the solid relationships we have with our more than 40,000 commercial customers and one million individuals. This year Vozrozhdenie was the 6th most active bank in Russia in granting mortgages to individuals, a record that I’m very pleased with.”
In 2006, Vozrozhdenie successfully issued a 10% increase of common shares through an open market placement to international and Russian professional fund managers. The Bank effectively employed the new capital to support the rapid expansion in products and services for SME business and individuals. In April 2007, the Bank will complete its 16th year as an independent bank.

Assets increased by 63% to $2,789 million (RUR 73,426 million) during the year. The Bank’s assets, responding to rapidly growing use of banking services by SME businesses and the increasing use of credit by retail customers, grew 15% faster than the growth in the banking system. Vozrozhdenie Bank moved up two places to 23rd largest bank from 25th place by assets in "Interfax-100" Top Russian banks ranking.
Equity was up 84% to $209 million (RUR 5,509 million) due to retention of earnings and the successful placement of 2 million shares in August 2006, a 10% increase in the number of shares outstanding. The new capital was employed to support SME business customers’ development and retail loan growth. The Bank has also leveraged its equity by raising debt capital in the form of subordinated loans. Tier 2 capital increased 121% to $94 million (RUR 2,467 million). Investors’ recognition of Vozrozhdenie’s reputation, stability, financial performance and potential increased the Bank’s market capitalization by more than 120% to $1.2 billion by December 31, 2006.
Loans to customers increased by 86% to $1,991 million (RUR 52,426 million). Retail lending programs, initiated in 2004, continued to grow rapidly, an annual rate of 200% for the last three years, and by year end comprised 17% of the loan portfolio, up from only 11% the previous year. Mortgages make up 44% of the retail loan portfolio, with excellent credit experience; at present the Bank has no past due or problem mortgage loans. The Bank’s traditional strong support of commercial enterprises contributed more than 75% of the increase in our loan portfolio.
Loan portfolio quality continues to be very sound; the portion of past due loans has been maintained at a very low 1.7% of the total loan portfolio. The provision for possible losses was maintained at twice the level of past due or problem loans, a prudent 3.6% of the portfolio or $74 million (RUR 1,954 million). Provisions for loan losses increased in line with loan growth.
Net Interest Income increased 80% to $132 million (RUR 3,484) as loans and deposits grew rapidly. Margins were up slightly due to good deposit inflows at competitive rates and increasing transaction account balances from individual and commercial customers. Demand for credit from individual customers also helped to support margins as the proportion of retail loans, especially mortgages, became a larger part of total loans.
Operating income grew 60% to $203 million (RUR 5,359 million). The Bank’s non-interest income, primarily from card products and transactions, grew strongly as individuals and SME businesses use banking services more frequently. Non-interest income remained at a very high 43% of operating income. Net fees and commissions increased 57% providing a strong and stable base for the Bank's future earnings
Operating expenses were up 53%, to $ 161 million (RUR 4,243 million), slower than the growth in assets and less than the growth in either interest income or fees and commissions. The Bank has expanded its delivery network of branches and ATMs in order to make services more accessible to SME and individual clients. Implementing the technology required to support present and future expansion has required significant investment. The Bank has 5,767 employees, a 13% increase from the previous year, as we are in the process of implemented the new core technology and have increased monitoring to ensure anti-money laundering practices are effective, as well as expanding the branch network.
Pre-tax income in 2006 increased 68% to $41 million (RUR 1,084 million). The tax rate under IFRS increased slightly due to timing differences between Russian and International Standards. As a result taxes increased 74% to $11 million (283 million rubles) compared to $6 million in 2005. Profits increased 61% to $30 million (RUR 801 million) from $19 million (RUR 544 million). In ruble terms the increase was 47%.
Vozrozhdenie Bank is a community bank for business and individuals. Today the Bank serves more than 40,000 corporate clients and provides payroll services to 3,300 clients, processing direct payment of monthly salaries to over 800,000 individuals. In total the Bank now has more than one million customers. The Bank remains the 10th largest Russian bank by the volume of deposits from individuals and is now the 6th largest issuer by number of residential mortgages.

Reports 2006 IFRS results, no positive surprises
Bank Vozrozhdenie yesterday reported broadly in line 2006 IFRS results. Net income rose 47% y-o-y to R801mn ($30.5mn), 4% below our forecast of R832mn ($31.7mn), and 14% lower than the consensus projection of R936mn ($35.6mn).
Net interest income grew 65% y-o-y, driven by a 70% increase in the loan book, compared to 40% for the Russian banking industry generally.
Retail loans jumped 2.5X to R8,982mn and now comprise 17% of the portfolio vs. 11% a year ago. The bank's net interest margin contracted 40bp to 5.4%, slightly below our forecast of 5.7%.
We were disappointed by the bank's almost flat cost/income ratio, which came at 74%, compared 76% last year. In our view, this suggests the bank, which has yet to announce any cost-cutting plans, has done little to improve its efficiency.
Loan loss provisioning was below our expectations for the year, with the bank releasing just R110mn from its reserves in 4Q06. As a result, the bank's NPL coverage declined to 210%; we would view any further reduction as a negative development. In our view, Bank Vozrozhdenie should increase its provisioning, given its increasing exposure to trading and retail.
2006 IFRS results generally good, broadly in line with our expectations

NewsVozrozhdenie releases Q107 IAS financials
Today, May 25, 2007
A marginal improvement in Vozrozhdenie’s financials is a mild positive for its stock, while the fact that its shares are overpriced compared to those of Sberbank is a negative.
On Thursday May 24 Vozrozhdenie Bank released its Q107 IAS financial statement which put the bank’s net income at Rb 275 mn ($10.5 mn), up 66% y-o-y and equity at Rb 5,784 mn ($222 mn), up 68% y-o-y. These figures came in 7.4% and 0.3%, respectively, above our forecasts. Vozrozhdenie’s ROAE stood at 19.5% in Q107, which is slightly lower than 19.96% in the same period last year.
The Bank of Russia registered on Wednesday May 23 Vozrozhdenie’s report on the placement of 3 mn additional shares. It was mainly foreign investors who bought the bank’s stock in the SPO and the bank raised $177 mn in proceeds. Since Vozrozhdenie’s capitalization is currently $1.56 bn and its equity drafted to IAS could climb to $413 mn by July 1, 2007, its P/B is 3.8, higher than that of Sberbank (3.4). Vozrozhdenie’s FY06 ROAE was 50% lower than that of Sberbank and its stock turnover is nowhere near that of the Russian leading bank. For this reason, we view Vozrozhdenie Bank’s shares as heavily overvalued.
We maintain our fair share price estimates on Vozrozhdenie at $50 and our recommendation is Sell.

Vozrozhdenie Bank reports First Half 2007 Net Income of 674 million rubles, under International Financial Reporting Standards
August 9, 2007
Vozrozhdenie Bank (VZRZ) today reported six months 2007 IFRS financial results:
* Net income 674 million rubles ($26.1 million), double 2006 first half
* Return On Equity (ROE) at 20.1%, above 2006 average of 19.1%
* Shareholders Equity reaches 10.7 billion rubles ($413 million)
* Market capitalization rises to 38 billion rubles ($1.5 billion)
* Assets grew by 62%, compared to July 1, 2006
We are pleased to report continuing strong business and financial results for the first half of 2007. Under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) our profit after tax was 674 million rubles or $26.1 million, almost twice the profit of the first half of 2006. Our Return on Equity (ROE) was 20.1%, above the average for last year at 19.1%, despite the large increase in equity resulting from our 20th share issue which was registered on May 23. The Bank has profitably employed the funds raised primarily in expansion of loans to small and medium size businesses.
Business volumes continue to grow strongly with balanced growth coming from both retail and corporate sectors. Retail loan volumes are double the same time last year. Mortgages make up almost half (49%) of our retail portfolio and are the most rapidly growing part of our retail lending. Credit quality has shown no deterioration in the first half of this year. We continue to provide very conservatively for possible losses, with provisions at twice the level of loans past due.
During the second quarter the bank completed its 20th additional issue of ordinary shares, raising $177 million in an issue which was widely subscribed. Preemptive rights were exercised by both domestic and international investors. As a result of the issue roughly 50% of the bank’s shares are considered ‘free float’ and are traded freely on the Russian stock exchanges. A small portion, 2.3%, of the Bank’s shares trade on German exchanges as ADRs.
The new share issue was registered by the Central Bank of Russia on May 23 at which time we received use of these funds. Therefore we have weighted the Return on Equity and earnings per share calculations to give proper consideration to the increased equity and number of shares during the quarter. Return on Equity at 20.1% on an adjusted weighted basis, slightly exceeded the bank’s long term target of 20%. Market capitalization of the bank reached $1.5 billion.
“The strength of our capital base has helped us provide new loans to both existing and new borrowing clients. This assists our customers in expanding their businesses and increases employment and the general level of economic activity. I am very pleased with the solid relationships we have with our customers which is reflected in a very low level of potential problem loans,” said Dmitry Orlov, Chairman of the Management Board of Vozrozhdenie.
Pre-tax profit for the six months was a record 887 million rubles, an increase of 90% on the previous year. After taxes of 213 million rubles, net income was 674 million rubles ($26.1 million) which compares to 342 million rubles ($12.6 million) in the same period of 2006. Earnings per share rose to 32 rubles in the six months compared to 17 rubles for the first six months of 2006.
Net Interest Income grew 71% comparing to the first six months of 2006 exceeding the growth of average assets of 57%, due to the more profitable mix of assets this year. Although the level of problem loans in both the retail and commercial portfolios remained very low, 1.7% of total loans, we have been increasing provisions for possible losses on a regular basis. In the first six months we set aside 478 million rubles for provisions, or an annualized 1.6% of average loans. Total provisions were 2.4 billion rubles, or 3.3% of total loans, a cushion of almost twice the volume of past due loans.
Operating income grew 54% to 3,459 million rubles ($134.1 million) as transaction volume increases provided a 31% increase in fee and commission revenue from bank’s core business. Non-interest revenue provided 43% of total operating revenue in the first half of 2007 and net fees and commissions constituted 87% of non-interest revenue.
Operating expenses grew 44% as both retail and corporate business transactions have increased. We have added 10 new branches or sales outlets since the end of 2006. Expenses have grown less than the growth in assets or loan volumes and less than the rise in operating income. The Bank’s measured efficiency has increased, with the cost to income ratio going down to 65.3% from 72.0% in the same period last year and an average of 72.3% for 2006
Assets grew 62% over the past year to reach 92,806 million rubles, or $3,595 million. Loans to individuals and families continue to grow rapidly, particularly mortgages. The volume of mortgages outstanding is four times what it was at the same time last year, reaching 6.1 billion rubles or $238 million. Mortgages make up almost 50% of our loans to individuals with very few past due or problem mortgages in the Bank’s portfolio. Our consumer loans increased over 60% in the last twelve months. Credit card use has accelerated with balances now at 2,069 million rubles, triple the volume of this time last year.
Equity rose to 10,660 million rubles ($413 million) at the end of June 2007. This includes the 4,583 million rubles ($177 million) which has come from our recent issue of three million new shares and the 1,447 million rubles ($54 million) from our 19th share issue of two million shares received in August 2006. Earnings in the past 12 months have contributed 1,133 million rubles ($44 million).

Vozrozhdenie employee recognized as Russia’s most effective IR professional in finance
October 8, 2007
Interfax and Thomson Financial have surveyed the Russian investor relations field and placed Vozrozhdenie Bank’s Julia Vinogradova at the top of the list in the financial sector. More than 300 fund managers and analysts from Russia, Europe, Asia and the US were asked their opinion in the spring of 2007. Each of the 300 participant’s votes was weighted by size of funds under management and therefore reflecting the importance of each investor.
“Vozrozhdenie Bank has a long history of good disclosure,” said Julia Vinogradova, head of the Bank’s investor relations department. “We work hard to ensure that investors are appropriately informed about the progress of their investments in the Bank, whether debt or equity, using several alternatives to provide information; our web-site, web-casts and conference calls, and many meetings and conferences. This isn’t the first time that the Bank has been recognized: Standard & Poor’s put us on the top of their list as the most shareholder transparent bank in Russia in 2006.”
Since its founding in 1991, Vozrozhdenie has carried out 20 share issues and has one of Russia’s most diversified and widely held shareholder’s structures. Strong relations with investors gives the Bank better access to domestic and international markets to obtain equity and debt funding to support the growing borrowing needs of its clients. Transparency in investor relations is a strong element in Vozrozhdenie’s good corporate governance. As well as ensuring good control over the bank’s risk taking, governance is a factor that investors rate highly in assessing the attractiveness of alternative investments.

geht wohl jetzt in richtung altes alltime-high.
