Ucore Provides an Update on REE Mineralogy at Bokan
      marketwire

Press Release Source: Ucore Uranium Inc. On Monday March 1, 2010, 9:40 am

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - March 1, 2010) - Ucore Uranium Inc. (TSX VENTURE:UCU - News) is pleased to provide an update on detailed mineralogical studies on surface and drill core samples from its Bokan Mountain rare earth element (REE) project.

The work is being led by Dr. A.N. Mariano, a renowned expert on REE minerals. Analyses are being made by traditional and state-of-the-art methods including standard petrography, cathodoluminescence, scanning electron microscope/backscattered electron imaging with energy dispersive X-ray analyses, X-ray energy mapping, and ultraviolet fluorescence.

To date, a wide variety of REE-bearing minerals have been identified, including apatite, iimoriite, kainosite, gadolinite, allanite, bastnaesite, parisite, brannerite, thalenite, xenotime, fergusonite, synchysite (Y), and monazite. Significantly, concentrates of iimoriite ((Y, REE)2(SiO4)(CO3)) were made using simple heavy media separation techniques, with grain sizes up to 2 mm.

"Characterizing the mineralogy is an important aspect of evaluating any REE deposit," said Jim McKenzie, Ucore's President & CEO. "Many REE minerals have similar physical and chemical characteristics. Separating the complex REE minerals from the waste rock can be a challenge at any REE deposit. We are encouraged by the coarse grain size and liberation of iimoriite, a key REE mineral that has high concentrations of the more valuable heavy rare earths and has relatively simple refining properties. We already have previous metallurgical test reports by the US Bureau of Mines that indicate recoveries of more than 95% yttrium, and results of our new mineralogical studies will be used to develop bench-scale metallurgical investigations to determine the potential recovery of the full suite of light and heavy rare earth minerals and elements."

Preliminary results of the mineralogical studies will be presented at the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona this week by Ucore's Harmen Keyser and Dr. Mariano. The SME has recognized the increasing demand for, and a potential shortage of, rare earths to supply the US industrial and military complex with a special dedicated session.

The Bokan-Dotson Ridge project, located on Prince of Wales Island in southeastern Alaska, is 100% owned by Ucore with purchasable NSR's ranging from 2 to 4% on 84 of 512 claims. Additional properties continue to be held in Nunavut, Ontario, Labrador, and Newfoundland.

The technical content of this news release has been approved by Harmen Keyser, P.Geol., Ucore's Vice President of Project Development and a qualified person in accordance with NI 43-101.

Ucore Uranium Announces Results Up to 10.04% Treo From Its Lost Pond Joint Venture in Western Newfoundland
      marketwire

Press Release Source: Ucore Uranium Inc. On Monday February 8, 2010, 1:44 pm EST

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - 02/08/10) - NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO U.S. NEWSWIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE U.S.

Ucore Uranium Inc. (TSX-V:UCU - News) ("Ucore" or the "Company") is pleased to announce assay results from a prospecting/sampling program completed on the Lost Pond property, located in western Newfoundland. The property is subject to a farm-out agreement with Kirrin Resources Inc. (TSX-V:KYM - News) ("Kirrin"), who is the operator. The property hosts a number of Rare Earth Element and Uranium targets which are the focus of an ongoing exploration program.

A summary of the sampling program and assay results are taken from Kirrin's press release dated Feb. 8, 2010 and detailed below:

"The 2009 review of prior REE exploration data identified four potential REE targets based on airborne magnetics and radiometric patterns as well as previous assay results obtained between 2006 and 2008. This previous work included trenching and drilling on the Bottom Brook A Zone (U3 Target) resulting in drill intersections up to 4.47% Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO) over 5.64 m.

The latest exploration program focused on five additional Rare Earth targets, two of which resulted in the identification of two new areas of Rare Earth mineralization:

      - Bottom Brook B Zone - Assay results of 1.69% and 6.80% TREO were obtained from two grab samples collected from angular boulders containing abundant magnetite and hematite mineralization. The highest grade sample (6.80% TREO) includes individual assays of 2.87% Ce2O3, 1.48% La2O3 and 1.21% Nd2O3. This mineralization is proximal to a discrete isolated magnetic high anomaly, which is located approximately 1 km northeast of the Bottom Brook A Zone.

      - Bottom Brook C Zone - This area was also isolated for follow-up because of the presence of a discrete isolated magnetic high. A total of five samples were taken from magnetite-hematite bearing granite float proximal to the target, all with similar radioactivity and mineralogy to the Bottom Brook A Zone. Sampling results ranged from 1.50% to 10.04% TREO. The highest grade sample (10.04% TREO) includes individual assays of 4.13% Ce2O3, 2.22% La2O3 and 1.88% Nd2O3.

The 2009 prospecting program was curtailed in November due to the onset of winter conditions. A follow-up program of ground magnetics and geochemistry is planned, to be followed by trenching and/or drilling on the discrete magnetic targets. Additional prospecting will also be done on the other targeted areas.

Quality Control: The sampling was carried out by Kirrin personnel and all samples were delivered to Accurassay in Gambo South, NL for initial sample preparation. The samples were analyzed at Activation Laboratories in Ancaster, ON, utilizing inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer. The digestion technique was total digestion that employs a lithium metaborate/tetraborate fusion. TREO represents the Total Rare Earth Oxides and includes Y2O3. The style of Rare Earth mineralization believed represented at Lost Pond generally has 90% Light Rare Earths and 10% Heavy Rare Earths on average."

Ucore Uranium Inc. is a junior exploration company focused on establishing uranium and Rare Earth Element resources through exploration and property acquisition. Ucore's Lost Pond Property is located in western Newfoundland, where Kirrin is earning a 50% interest (see press release September 16, 2008) by spending $2,600,000 on exploration and issuing 300,000 shares (split adjusted) to Ucore, including 50,000 shares (split adjusted) on signing, over four years. Kirrin has met its expenditure obligation through December 31, 2009. The Qualified Person ("QP") responsible for the content of this press release is Wayne Reid, P.Geo, a technical advisor for both Ucore and Kirrin.

      * On 9:18 am EST, Monday December 14, 2009

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 14, 2009) - Ucore Uranium Inc. (TSX VENTURE:UCU - News) is pleased to announce additional assay results from the 2009 drill program at Bokan-Dotson Ridge in southeast Alaska. The 2009 program, administered under Ucore's wholly owned U.S.-based subsidiary, Rare Earth One, completed a total of 2,840 metres of core from 27 diamond drill holes. The 2009 drilling focused primarily on the road-accessible Dotson Trend, with additional drilling at the Geoduck, Cheri and Sunday Lake areas. The drill hole assays summarized in this release, all collared along the centrally located Dotson Trend, represent the balance of outstanding holes from the 2009 program.

"Drill results from the Dotson Trend continue to offer exceptional concentrations of the valuable heavy rare earth elements," said Ucore's President and CEO Jim McKenzie. "More compelling, however, is the fact that our deepest holes to date, holes 72 and 73, give results that essentially mirror the total rare earth content of earlier shallow holes along the Dotson Trend. This is consistent with an important cornerstone of the historical US Bureau of Mines model for the area, which calls for persistence of mineralization at depth. Increasingly, current exploration confirms the historical model and indicates the presence of a significant heavy rare earth deposit, one that is easily accessible and perhaps most importantly, located within the United States, one of the world's largest consumers of these critical technology metals."

The geological model for Bokan-Dotson Ridge, first set out by the USBM in 1989, called for persistent rare earth mineralization across the system, both along strike and at depth (Warner & Barker; USBM OFR 33-89). The USBM studies were the basis for a substantial non NI 43-101 compliant resource calculation described in the Ucore press release of November 17, 2009. The USBM also predicted an unusually high ratio of heavy rare earths (or HREE's), estimating that approximately one half of the total rare earth content in the known mineralized bodies would consist of the more valuable HREE's. Significantly, Ucore's 2009 drill results have been consistent with the conclusions of the historical USBM studies. The 2009 exploration program encountered mineralization in 22 of 27 holes, with five holes returning non-significant values (holes 62-64, 67 and 69). Factoring in the 2009 season, Ucore's exploration programs at Bokan over three successive seasons have identified mineralization from approximately 85% of the total holes drilled.

A high priority objective in 2010 will be the generation of a NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate for the centrally located Dotson Trend. Ucore intends to conduct additional infill and deep drilling in this area of sufficient density to allow the preparation of a resource estimate compliant with the modern standards of NI 43-101 and to provide further confirmation of the historical USBM model. As previously reported, the Dotson Trend now has an established strike length of three kilometres, not including the nearby I&L, Cheri, and Geoduck zones which are all located on the southeast side of Bokan Mountain. Additional field studies directed toward an increased understanding of the structural controls of these HREE-enriched zones are planned for 2010. Please see the company website for maps showing the locations of the mineralized zones and drill holes.

In addition to the primary objective of generating a resource at the Dotson Trend in 2010, Ucore also intends to aggressively advance a new target area at the Sunday Trend, to the northwest of Bokan Mountain. This trend has a prospective strike length of three kilometres, commencing at the Sunday Lake Zone and extending northwards to the Boots and Geiger Zones. As reported in Ucore's press release of Nov. 30, 2009, Sunday Lake is the site of a recent highly prospective heavy rare earth discovery, which rendered assays comprised almost completely of heavy rare earths (95% HREO content over total REO content of 1.8% across 4.8 meters).

Beyond the Dotson and Sunday Trends, the overall Bokan-Dotson Ridge project area, with more than 30 known REE-U prospects, is located central to a substantially larger rare earth macro trend, which Ucore geologists now believe may span in excess of 30 kilometres on southern Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. While Ucore's focus for the near term will be exploring the Dotson, Geoduck, Cheri, and Sunday Lake zones, intermediate work will proceed on the greater area to the north and south of the central exploration zones.

Bokan-Dotson Ridge is one of a very few known and readily accessible rare earth prospects which are enriched in the heavy lanthanoids, or HREE's, in North America. The project has excellent geopolitical features. It is located in a jurisdiction known for proven mine permitting legislation and infrastructural support, with no local populations. The Bokan area is within a mineral prescription of the Tongass National Forest land use designation system to encourage exploration and development of mineral resources. Logistically, Bokan-Dotson Ridge is situated on immediate deep water access with an existing road network, 140 kilometres from large scale port-to-rail facilities at Prince Rupert, B.C., and with direct ocean access to the western seaboard and the Pacific Rim. The climate is temperate, facilitating the possibility of exploration and mining on a year-round basis. As one of the largest estimated HREE deposits in the United States, the project offers secure domestic access to technology metals of critical importance to the US military and industrial complex. Currently, HREE's consumed in the US for high technology applications originate almost entirely from China, and are widely believed to be entering an indeterminate period of supply shortfall as China marshals its domestic reserves for internal use.

      NI 43-101 Compliance

Diamond drill core was split on site, with half the core transported by commercial freight carriers to the EcoTech Laboratories analytical facility in Kamloops, B.C., Canada, and check assay samples submitted to Actlabs in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada. As part of a rigorous QA/QC program, blanks, standards, and duplicates were inserted into the sample train in the field and in the laboratory. Analyses were by a combination of inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry and X-ray fluorescence with lithium metaborate fusion. Reported values are length-weighted averages from multiple samples. All widths reported are core intercepts; insufficient structural information is available to make a conclusive statement on the relationship between true width and core intercept. Harmen Keyser, P.Geol. (NWT), Ucore's Vice President of Project Development and a qualified person in accordance with NI 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical content of this press release.

      Background

Das ist wohl die Ursache für den Abschlag

Readers are cautioned that the resource estimates quoted in this press release were prepared by the US Bureau of Mines prior to the implementation of National Instrument 43-101 and are therefore of a historical nature. The historical resource estimate does not use the resource categories stipulated in Sections 1.2 and 1.3 of National Instrument 43-101. Ucore believes that the terms "resource" and "resources" are used differently from the use of those terms in NI 43-101. Ucore does not have, and is not aware of, any more recent resource estimates which conform to the standards prescribed in NI 43-101. Ucore has not done the work necessary to verify the classification of the USBM mineral resource estimate and it has not been verified by a Qualified Person. The Company is not treating the historical resource estimate as a NI 43-101 defined resource or reserve, and therefore the historical resource estimate should not be relied upon.

      Resolution 56; 1998

      Alaska State Legislature

      REPRESENTATIVE BILL HUDSON

      State Capitol

      Juneau. Alaska

      99801-1182

      (9O7) 465-3744 Fax (907) 465-2273

      Resources Committee

      Transportation Committee

      Commerce Committee

      Sponsor Statement

This Resolution urges the Federal Railroad Administration to transfer the Linear

Induction Motor Research Vehicle (LIMRV) to the State of Alaska. The LIMRV is

a high speed test vehicle which was used in the 1970's for obtaining

experimental data by the United States Department of Transportation. The

transfer of the LIMRV will allow for the potential development of a new industrial

and research business in Alaska. The mining will take place on Prince of Wales

Island where the only known North American source of yttrium is located, and

the processing will take place in Ketchtkan. The development of yttrium could

revitalize Ketchikan, after the loss of the pulp mill.

Yttrium is a rare earth element that is currently being purchased from foreign

sources at the current world market value of $320.000 for one pound of pure

ytirium. Power Superconductor Applications Corporation is proposing local

employment in the mining and refining, as well as in the converting the LIMRV

to their needs. Upon receipt of the LIMRV, there will be potential employment of

up to 55 persons for the conversion.

The mining and refining of yttrium would also cause further job expansion on

Prince of Wales Island. These yttrium deposits are also mixed with other rare

earth elements, which will allow Alaska further development in other minerals.

Power Superconductor Applications Corporation is also planning to establish a

high speed test facility at Annette Field on Metlakatla. This airfield makes

available long fiat strips of land and a moderate climate for the testing of the

LIMRV. Currently, there are facilities in Southeast Alaska that could be quickly

retrofitted by the Power Superconductor Applications Corporation for their

requirements for the LIMRV conversions and yttrium development. The fact that

there are current convertible facilities available, will allow for expedient

      development of the project.

Alaska has a unique deposit of this valuable earth element, the development of

which could provide an opportunity for economic growth and development. 1

urge your support in this timely resolution.
