Sentiment may remain skewed in favor of the bears, but anyone who has been in this market for more than 5 minutes also knows that ANYTHING can happen at ANY MOMENT. That said, with many market participants acknowledging the fact that bitcoin's 14-day RSI is back in "oversold" territory, a rebound in the coming hours/days/week is still in the deck of cards and could most certainly manifest into a unforeseen shift in sentiment...
As shown in the XBTUSD 4H chart provided above, bitcoin is currently flirting around critical support at $7,450 and has yet to make up its mind as to where to trend next. Aside from the fact that bitcoin will either 1) continue to trade sideways 2) make a run at breaking out of the falling wedge or 3) tumble towards the $6,100 - $6,800 confluence zone, the chart above shows that every time bitcoin's 14-day RSI enters oversold territory and is also trading above $7,450, bitcoin rallies +17.4% on average. Assuming bitcoin's 14-day RSI bottomed yesterday, a +17.4% gain off of yesterday's low of $7,302 implies a target of $8,570, or a test of the falling wedge's descending line of resistance...
The bulls & bears may agree that bitcoin is due for a bounce, but the delta lies in that the bears see any kind of relief rally as not only unlikely but a bull trap at the very least; a bull trap that will lay the foundation for BTC to plunge below $7,000. On the other hand, the bulls see the current setup as not only an opportunity to break out of the falling wedge and resume the current "bull market" but a means of breaking back above $8,000 (an important level of support per the VPVR indicator) and securing new ground to work off of.
With that said, in the event that bitcoin catches a relief rally in the foreseeable future, keep a close eye on its ability to break back above $8,000 and take a shot at ~$8,600 resistance. And what if bitcoin breaks lower from current price? Watch how well $7,200 holds, if at all.

WHALE ALERT
Bitcoin Whale Alarm: 18.000 BTC vs. 60 Mio.
