Das der Glasfaserbereich ( Fiber-Optics ) eine glänzende Zunkunft hat ist glaube ich unbestritten.
Problem:
In den Glasfasernetzen können riesige Datenmengen mit Lichtgeschwindigkeit übermittelt werden, bis zu den Knotenpunkten ( auch Weichen ) genannt. Die herkömmlichen Weichen steuern die Daten, noch mit elektronischen oder mechanischen Bauteilen, an den jeweiligen Empfänger. Durch die elektr. o. mechanischen Bauteile wird allerdings die Geschwindigkeit und die Menge erheblich reduziert.
Die Weichen , welche LMGR, noch in diesem Jahr vorstellen wird, arbeiten wie gesagt all-optical. Ich habe persönlich mit dem Presidenten der company gesprochen und er bestätigte mit das o.g. ausdrücklich.
Die beste Weiche von Nortel Networks ist so groß wie ein Kleiderschrank, die von LMGR so groß wie ein Brotkasten.
Ihr solltet Euch am Wochenende mal 2 Stunden Zeit nehmen und dann selbst entscheiden!!!

Das Kürzel ist LMGR. Du kannst die Aktie momentan nur in New York am OTC-Board kaufen. In Deutschland kennt noch niemand diese Aktie, deshalb sind hier keine Umsätze. Das Kürzel für Frankfurt ist, glaube ich LMG.

LMGR hat heute einen Letter of Intent mit France Telekom unterschrieben, nachdem vor etwa 8 Wochen bereits mit einem Amerika-weiten Netzbetreiber
(Info´s: www.empyreancommunication.com ) ebenfalls eine Absichtserklärung abgeschlossen wurde.
LMGR war vor ca. 3 Wochen auf der größten Fiber-optics Messe der Welt, es wird in den nächsten Wochen und Monaten viel passieren.
Die Marktkap. beträgt 34 Mio $ ( 16 Mio. Aktien sind ausgegeben )
Zur Erinnerung Nortel Networks hat vor einiger Zeit die Fa. Xros für 3,25 Mrd. $ gekauft. Das entspricht ( auf LMGR bezogen ) einen Kurs pro Aktie von 191 $!!!!!!!
Der Unterschied ist allerdings. Xros hat kein Patent angemeldt, die Weiche ist deutlich langsamer und vor allem nicht serienreif!!!!

Wir befinden uns in einer ähnlichen Situation wie INTEL mit der 4004-Architektur vor 25 JAHREN .
Mit WDM können wir innerhalb von drei Jahren ein Terabit pro Sekunde über Monomode-Glasfaser erreichen.( Heute ist es möglich ).

Der Backbone wird in der ersten Phase Zentraleuropa zwischen Hamburg und Rom, Calais und Wien erfassen. In einem zweiten Schritt werden UK, Skandinavien und Moskau ebenfalls angeschlossen. Der Startschuß ist am 30. Juni gefallen. Wir sprechen also nicht mehr von Planungen, sondern Fakten.
In der ersten Ausbaustufe werden zwar nur 300 Tera Bit pro Sekunde erreicht, die baulichen Vorbereitungen für den Endausbau mit 1,5 Peta Bit pro Sekunde werden aber bereits am ersten Tag getroffen.

Die Demonstration der Einsetzbarkeit mit den IP Routern wird die Plattformen Nortel Networks Versalar 25000, Juniper Networks M40 und Avici TSR als Router-Schnittstellen zum Qtera ULTRA-System beinhalten.
