Hey!

Hallo Reboot!
So langsam werde ich auch skeptisch! Was ist los?!?
Was denkt Ihr?
Cash

Hi Leute!
Was meint ihr dazu?
Florian

He has also worked at LSI Logic, Tandem Computers, Force Computers and Philips.
According to Mr. Agarwal, "We made good progress in the quarter, strengthening our management team and building momentum in our development programs."
Earlier in the year NeoMagic announced that it would shift its development efforts to focus on three areas of technology:
System-on-Chip (SOC) integration for handheld internet appliances
Broadband Internet video technology using MPEG-4 compression and decompression
Broadband wireless communications
The company expects that Internet systems will proliferate as a great variety of platforms and numerous special-function appliances supplement and outpace the more general PC over the next several years. These platforms will increasingly rely on SOC levels of integration, combining CPU, memory and multimedia peripherals into single-chip solutions. On August 14, MIPS Technology announced that NeoMagic has licensed the MIPS 4K series of CPU cores for use in handheld internet appliance applications.
The company believes that MPEG-4 will become the video standard of choice for the Internet. This technology is expected to find applications in Internet web-casting, Internet video-on-demand servers and routers, many forms of Internet appliances, gaming consoles, third-generation cellular phones, digital cameras, video conferencing systems, and networked security cameras, among others.
Subsequently, the company anticipates that broadband wireless access will become an important aspect of many Internet appliances, finding applications in third-generation cellular phones, but also in PDAs, notebooks, wireless video conferencing systems, and multimedia terminals, among others.
"Last quarter we restructured to protect NeoMagic`s financial strength. This quarter we have set the basic parameters of our new direction," Mr. Agarwal stated. "We have kicked-off significant engineering activities, and begun engaging major players in the first of our new product areas. We will continue to refine and evolve our product plans over the next few quarters, while adding key staff with new skills. While we expect a net loss for the fiscal year as a whole, we are managing our spending prudently and expect to end the fiscal year with more than $90 million in cash. We remain on our plan to drive the first of our new product efforts for market entry and revenues beginning in the second half of next year," he added.

This press release contains forward-looking statements within the meaning of the Securities Act of 1933, including statements regarding revenues, cash flow and product development activities. These statements reflect current expectations. However, actual events and results could vary significantly based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to: the rate of decline in shipments of existing product to current NeoMagic customers, the abilities of manufacturing subcontractors to make adequate and timely deliveries, access to advanced production process technologies from manufacturing subcontractors, recruiting and retaining employees including those with engineering expertise in new disciplines, and other issues. In particular, the company`s product development efforts in System-on-Chip integration, MPEG-4, and broadband wireless represent new endeavors and consequently carry greater risks of successful and timely execution and market acceptance. Additional risk factors are listed in the company`s Form 10-K filing for the fiscal year ended January, 2000.

NeoMagic(R) Corporation Reports Fiscal 2001 Second Quarter Results
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- NeoMagic Corporation (Nasdaq: NMGC) today reported net sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2001 of $31.9 million, compared to net sales of $60.3 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2000, and compared to $38.9 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2001. Cash and short-term investments grew from $96.5 million at January 31, 2000 to $102.8 million at July 31, 2000.
Net income for the second quarter of fiscal 2001 was $2.7 million, or $0.10 per share, compared to net income of $2.5 million, or $0.10 per share in the second quarter of fiscal 2000, and net loss of $5.3 million, or a loss of $0.21 per share in the first quarter of fiscal 2001.
During the second quarter of fiscal 2001, stronger than anticipated demand for the company`s products resulted in the release of inventory reserves of $2.2 million. In the first quarter of fiscal 2001, the Company reserved excess inventory based on expectations of its customers` end-of-life requirements for its notebook PC graphic products, and incurred cancellation costs for in- process product resulting in a total charge of $11.9 million.
Prakash Agarwal, president and CEO, said, "Our second fiscal quarter came in a little better than we had anticipated, as we reached agreement with our major customers on their end-of-life requirements for our existing products."
Business Review
During the quarter NeoMagic bolstered its management team with the addition of two new executives: Stephen Lanza as vice president of finance and chief financial officer, and Sanjay Adkar as vice president of corporate engineering. @net-trader,

@Effekto:

Mal schauen, was die nächsten 1-2Wochen bringen.

About Digital:Convergence
Digital:Convergence Corporation is a privately held Internet technology company headquartered in Dallas with offices in New York and London. Working in conjunction with
industry-leading partners such as Forbes magazine, Young &Rubicamm Inc., Belo, and Radio Shack Corp., the company`s proprietary technology can link almost all media or
products instantly and easily with the Internet, allowing users to obtain relevant information or conduct e-commerce activities. The company`s management team includes a
roster of industry veterans from Time Warner, AT&T, GE, ING Barings and Disney.
About NeoMedia Technologies
NeoMedia Technologies, Inc, based in Fort Myers, Florida, is the international leader in print-to-Internet enabling technology. The company develops and markets a family of
PaperClick(TM) products and services, based on NeoMedia`s patented technology, that provide direct, customer routable links between printed information or objects and
Internet content. PaperClick works by using bar codes or their associated numeric strings which are embedded in the print media. PaperClick services are delivered in an
application service provider (ASP) model to clients in the business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C), business-to-employee (B2E), and mobile commerce
(mCommerce) markets, as well as throughout multiple industries including publishing, retail, manufacturing and education.
NeoMedia markets these services under the PaperClick(TM) trademark on the ASP site, www.paperclick.com. Entering a PaperClick code, or scanning the associated bar
code routes readers directly to relevant Web information. NeoMedia`s technology provides totally un-tethered access to Web content from print media, through a variety of
scanning devices from manufacturers such as A.T. Cross® Company, Symbol® Technologies, and Welch Allyn. PaperClick ToGo(TM) technology provides mobile linkage
to Web content through PalmOS(TM) PDA devices and Internet-enabled cellular phones. PaperClick is the optimal solution because it also provides access to these
capabilities without a scanning device. By activating the PaperClick Go Window and entering a numeric string associated with the PaperClick bar code, users can reach their
desired Web destination. NeoMedia also provides proprietary software for document management and production systems, as well as systems integration services for
automated print production operations. For additional information, please visit the Company Web site at www.neom.com.

Geiler Wochenausklang !!!!!!!!! Weiter so !!!!!!

Press Release
University Adopts PaperClick Enterprise
Universidad Regiomontana Integrates PaperClick Codes into E-Learning Program
FORT MYERS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2000--NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:NEOM - news) and Universidad Regiomontana (www.ur.mx) of Monterrey,
Mexico, today announced the integration of PaperClick Enterprise print-to-Internet enabling technology in the University`s ``Visual University 2000`` (VU2000) Program.
``We first used PaperClick codes to expand content in the University newspaper, Expresion,`` said Pablo A. Longoria Trevino, University president. ``Since that time, we have
incorporated PaperClick into our computer aided e-learning program, VU 2000, which will affect every course at the University. Currently there are 54 courses online; our
goal is to have all 636 courses online by December 2001. Students attend live lectures, but all reference materials, assignments, training activities, and even course chat areas,
are linked from printed course materials to the Internet by PaperClick codes. In this way, we can update course materials by changing the web content instead of reprinting
course guides.``
In addition, each student at the University is provided with a unique PaperClick code that is issued to him or her on a card. This code leads the student to a personal web page
that contains personal records, grades, and tuition information. Rather than scanning the PaperClick bar code, students enter the numeric string associated with the PaperClick
code into the PaperClick Go Window on the University web site home page.
``E-learning applications actually demonstrate the versatility of PaperClick,`` said William F. Goins, president and COO of NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. ``PaperClick allows
instructors to provide unlimited scope and access to course materials and resources while reducing the printing costs usually associated with these changes. It promotes more
content being provided to more students for less money. Universidad Regiomontana is teaching us how well-suited PaperClick is in the e-learning environment.``
About Universidad Regiomontana
A private college based in Monterrey, Mexico, Universidad Regiomontana has been providing college level and advanced degrees for over 30 years. The University has a
student body of more than 4,000 and offers degrees in Accounting, Architecture, Economics, Engineering, the Humanities and Social Sciences. The entire University is
focused on its Visual University 2000 program that will take the Universidad Regiomontana to the forefront of e-learning.

a secured promissory note. With the Letter now terminated, Fritz said no further advances will be made by AirClic to NeoMedia,
with the monies previously received to be repaid in six months.

NeoMedia Technologies Reports Second Quarter Results
FORT MYERS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 2001--NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:NEOM - news), the
international leader in print-to-Internet and commerce-enabling technology, today reported second quarter results for 2001.
Charles T. Jensen, NeoMedia`s vice president, treasurer and CFO, said the company showed a loss of $11 million for the three
months ended on June 30, 2001, as compared with a loss of $2.1 million for the same period in 2000. The loss for the six months
ended June 30, 2001 was $14.5 million as compared with a loss of $4.5 million for the same period in year 2000.
Jensen said the majority of the second quarter loss was due to non-cash, one-time charges of $8.2 million. He said $7.4 million of
the charges related directly to write-off of assets associated with the Digital:Convergence (DC) contract, noting that any future
revenues related to the contract would be recorded as payments are received. In addition, Jensen cited $830,000 of non-cash
expense recognized for a warrant repricing program, including issuance of replacement warrants, and a reduction in net income of
$584,000, which he said was due to reduced sales of Sun Microsystems computer equipment by NeoMedia`s Systems
Integration Services group and a direct result of the current economic downturn.
In a 10Q to be filed shortly, NeoMedia detailed the write-off of the contract with DC, to whom it had granted a worldwide,
non-exclusive license of its extensive patent portfolio for directly linking documents, objects, transaction and voice commands to
the Internet. NeoMedia has filed suit against DC, demanding, among other things, repayment of obligations under a note to
NeoMedia for $3 million.
Charles W. Fritz, NeoMedia`s chairman and CEO, said the company continued to modify its workforce with respect to revenues
and responsibility to shareholders, reducing its staff by 55 employees, or 60%. He said Robert T. Durst, formerly executive vice
president and CTO, and Rudolf Y. Mosny, formerly executive vice president and COO, were among those no longer with the
company.
