TSIG.com Announces that Reliant Interactive Media Corp. Partners with Planet E Shop for India and China Markets
St. Petersburg, Fla. (September 14, 2000) – TeleServices Internet Group Inc. (OTC BB:TIGI - news), known as TSIG.com, today announced that Reliant Interactive Media Corp. has recently entered into a partnership agreement with Planet E Shop to be its exclusive distributor for AS SEEN ON TV products in India and China. TSIG.com recently announced that it is acquiring the business of Reliant.
"This is a great opportunity for Reliant to extend its presence globally. India has over one billion people with the largest middle class in the world and China has over one and a quarter billion people," said Kevin Harrington, CEO of Reliant. "Having such a powerful global partner as Planet E Shop, with all its fulfillment and customer service operations in place, will put Reliant products in front of 40% of the world`s population outside of the U.S. The growth potential is staggering and we are very excited about our alliance."
Planet E Shop will commence its direct response product marketing efforts with Reliant in India in mid-October, 2000, with the launch of a 24-hour home-shopping channel. By April, 2001, Reliant will begin to roll out its AS SEEN ON TV campaigns in China through the Plant E Shop network.
Planet E Shop is in partnership with India`s Hinduja Group, which owns and operates some of India`s major cable networks -- Incable and CVO. Incable is a full-service cable provider with a 24-hour shopping channel aired in the local languages. CVO is India`s largest cable provider with programming that includes long-form infomercials.
Harrington further explained Reliant`s partnership with Plant E Shop includes the establishment of a production facility in Mumbai (Bombay) to produce AS SEEN ON TV short and long-form infomercials for the Indian market.
