Samsung Elect to Incorporate Spatializer N-2-2 Across Entire DVD Range And for
OEM Customers
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., - July 20, 1999 -- Spatializer Audio Laboratories (OTC
Bulletin Board: SPAZ - news) announced today that Samsung Electronics has incorporated
Spatializer`s N-2-2(TM) Virtual Surround Sound technology across its entire range of
own-brand and OEM DVD players. Samsung joins the rapidly growing list of N-2-2
licensees including Toshiba, Acer, Hitachi, LG, Zenith, and Emerson.

``This is very pleasing news for us. Samsung are a very highly respected company, openly
committed to being a major force in the DVD market. We are more than happy to be
associated with them,`` said Pete Birch, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at
Spatializer. ``The addition of Samsung to our licensee base for N-2-2 fully supports our
efforts to define Spatializer N-2-2 as the standard for Virtual Surround Sound. Sales
figures for DVD players show a continuing growth pattern, particularly in the US. We
intend to take full advantage of this by continuing to apply our efforts to introduce more and
more DVD manufacturers to the benefits of Spatializer.``

SEOUL, Jan 16 Asia Pulse - Samsung Electronics earned 6.43 trillion won (US$5 billion) in profits for 2000, 89.4 per cent more
than the 3.17 trillion won ($2.46 billion)
posted for 1999.

Ordinary profits amounted to 7.94 trillion won ($6.1 billion), up 85.1 per cent, while sales increased 31.3 per cent, or 34.28 trillion
won ($26.6 billion).

The debt ratio fell to 65.9 per cent, down 19.4 per centage points from 85.3 per cent last year.

The company said its per share dividend would be 3,000 won ($2.3) per share including 500 won per share in mid-term dividends,
bringing total dividends to 508.5 billion
won ($395 million) or 1.9 per cent per share.

The company plans to hold an investment relations session at the International Conference Room of the Korea Stock Exchange
Friday and explain this year`s business
objectives.

Diese könnte z.B. sein:
- C-Cube zahlt für jeden Chip Lizengebühr (weiß jemand das ?) an SPAZ und daher sollte sich der Umsatz bei SPAZ ver-x-fachen oder
- SPAZ hat seine Software an C-Cube pauschal verkauft. Daher kein weiterer positives Einfluss auf SPAZ.

Hat jemand Lust bei SPAZ anzurufen? Sonst mache ich das Mal.

Aber ich kann dir schon soviel verraten, dass per unit bezahlt wird und es zählt nicht der Verkauf, sondern die Auslieferung.

Gerade die generelle Umstellung von einmaliger Zahlung auf Preis/unit ist ja ein entscheidender Faktor, für den gelungenen Turnarround.Warum sollte es hier anders sein?

* Samsung Teams With DataPlay for Exhibition

Las Vegas, NV - January 6, 2001 - Samsung Electronics America - the company that
introduced NUON and FLCD technology - has now partnered with DataPlay, Inc. to unveil a new
digital media for multimedia devices. The technology will be demonstrated at the 2001 Consumer
Electronics Show at the DataPlay booth, LVCC # 1357. Actual delivery of these products are
expected to be the end of 2001.

DataPlay`s non-erasable optical disks are almost as small as a quarter, yet can hold up to
500MB of data. Both compact and powerful, the disks can be used with multiple devices such as
PDAs, cell phones, and music players and can store photographs and music as well as video.

"We are excited to bring this revolutionary technology to market," said Michael Malcy, Vice
President of Samsung`s Digital Convergence Team. "Samsung has made a commitment to
move forward with new and creative digital convergence products and DataPlay has proven to be
an excellent match to help achieve this goal."

DataPlay enabled technology that will be at the 2001 CES Show includes Samsung`s: Combi
YEPP, featuring a detachable portable audio player/encoder on a minisystem with built in CD
player and AM/FM stereo; a YEPP portable digital audio player capable of 10 continuous hours
of playback and four mode equalizer; a PCMCIA Card, employing standard PCMCIA Type II
Interface; and a USB Drive, using a standard USB 1.1 interface.
