      ...
This is probably the best time to take a position in VLPI, because some inaccurate, grossly misleading negative press caused the stock to move to an opportunistic low.

One of my pet peeves is media coverage that is inappropriately negative -- where the writer did not take the trouble to do their homework. When I see that kind of coverage, I can`t help thinking that the writer may be working with shorters who want the price to go down.

I interviewed Don Podrebarac again 11/12/2001. He told me the negative press was related to VLPI`s recently announced plans to complete development of its new PurTest(R) Anthrax At-Home Test Kit. Don commented: "To demonstrate our confidence, the PurTest(R) Anthrax test kit is being sent to an independent lab to conduct anthrax testing. This lab will verify the results & we plan to include information regarding the results of the testing in the packaging for the kit. We have every faith that our product will work & will provide consumers with peace of mind. Our intention was never to play into the fear caused by the horrendous crimes that have been committed against America. Our intention is to provide some comfort & empower consumers to take an initiative if they so choose. Our government has encouraged all Americans to take charge, be more vigilant, & take action to better protect one`s self & their family. We believe our products provide Americans with some of the tools needed to help us be more prepared in the fight against terrorism.

"We are receiving orders for the product, & we will do our very best to make it available to consumers through retail shelves, direct response, & the Internet. We have already logged over $150,000 in retail value orders for the upcoming PurTest(R) Anthrax Test, & if we do not encounter any unexpected setbacks, we believe our first shipment will be within the next few weeks. We will continue to inform the public of all changes & developments & look forward to a time when we will not need to consider using anthrax tests in our homes."

VLPI recently announced that eUniverse (Nasdaq/EUNI), the leading interactive entertainment & permission-based marketing network, partnered with VLPI to develop an innovative new Home Security Kit & form an online distribution venture for it & the PurTest(R) Anthrax Test. eUniverse (www.euniverse.com) is consistently ranked as a top 10 weekly Internet property according to Nielsen//NetRatings.

      COMPANY HISTORY

Vital Living Products, Inc., a fully reporting Company, trades on the
OTC BB under the ticker symbol VLPI. The Company was
incorporated in 1990 in North Carolina and then merged with a
Delaware corporation of the same name in 1991.

The Company began as a manufacturer and distributor of two
proprietary drinking water programs, The Drinking Water Machine™
and The Raindrop Shoppe™. The Drinking Water Machine™ was the
first in-store water-bottling program for grocery stores. The Raindrop
      Shoppe™ provided consumers with an in-store water-vending
program. The products achieved some success but the climate within
the industry was changing in the mid 1990`s.

In 1994, the Chairman of VLPI, Mr. C. Wilbur Peters, appointed Mr.
Donald R. Podrebarac to serve as Executive Vice President. Mr.
Podrebarac, a respected water industry marketing expert and
consultant, came on board to assess and redirect the Company. In
1996, Mr. Peters named Mr. Podrebarac as President and C.E.O. Mr.
Podrebarac began increasing the focus of the organization upon
expanding sales of bottled water and water treatment products while
Mr. Peters continued to finance the Company.

      THE PURTEST STORY

While the organization strove to build sales, Mr. Podrebarac spent
extensive effort on a line of do-it-yourself water test kits called
PurTest® to establish the product line that would provide a road to
      solid profitability.

In late 1996, VLPI d/b/a American Water Service launched it`s first
PurTest® product, the PurTest® Bacteria Test Kit through an
exclusive marketing and manufacturing agreement. Additional
agreements followed with the development of a series of easy-to-use,
      reliable PurTest® water test kits.

The PurTest® Lead Test Kit was introduced early in 1997 and the
PurTest® Iron/Hardness Plus Test Kit, was introduced later in the
year. In the fall of 1997, the fourth PurTest® product, the PurTest®
Home Water Analysis Kit, completed the first comprehensive
consumer test kits on the market.

The lack of convenient water testing kits on the market and growing
consumer awareness for water quality led PurTest® to successfully
debut in national retail outlets across America.

      SALES GROWTH

Recognizing that the test kit sales educated consumers and enhanced
sales of additional water treatment equipment, management decided
to focus the Company resources on national and international growth
opportunities for PurTest® products. PurTest® gained national
distribution in the fall of 1997 through Lowe`s, Home Improvement
Warehouse and Ace Hardware. By the end of 1997, American Water
Service sold its bottled water distribution business and reorganized the
water treatment and water vending divisions to deliver more energy
      and resources to PurTest® expansion.

In 1998, the Company capitalized on its success and established
additional distribution channels for PurTest®. A research and
development effort was created through a partnership agreement with
Strategic Diagnostics, Inc. for a fifth PurTest® product for the
      detection of pesticides.

      AWARDS & NEW PRODUCTS

The Company was awarded the prestigious 1999 Consumer Products
Award for the PurTest® product line at Carnegie Hall in March 1999,
and in April 1999, the PurTest® Pesticide Test Kit was introduced with
      a record-setting Company launch of over $100,000 in pre-production
commitments. As of May, 1999, PurTest® was the only
comprehensive line of fast, accurate, reliable, easy, and economical
do-it-yourself drinking water tests on the market nationwide.

By the end of the first quarter in 1999, PurTest® products were
available in over 10,000 retail locations in the United States. PurTest®
orders and re-orders were rising with major home improvement
centers including Lowe`s and Home Depot, ACE Hardware stores,
Meijer, Menards, and through all major water treatment dealers.
International sales spread to eleven countries (Indonesia, England, the
Dominican Republic, Bermuda, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Korea,
Japan, Germany, and Honduras). Today, PurTest® is distributed as
well in Ireland, Bangladesh, Egypt, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka
      and the Phillippines.

PurTest® was honored to receive the 2000 Consumer Products
Award, and has won endorsements from the American Groundwater
Trust, the National Ground Water Association, the American Quality
Institute, the Water Quality Association and "Consumers Digest".
PurTest® was awarded the Best New Product of 2000 by "Today`s
Homeowner" magazine and most recently has been recommended by
      "Good Housekeeping" magazine.

In 2001, the Company is launching a new marketing program for
PurGuard® Ultraviolet Water Disinfection Units, a new PurGuard®
Universal Water Treatment Intall Kit (for do-it-yourself installation of
most models and makes of water treatment equipment), and the new
PurWell™ Chlorine Well Disinfection Kit to kill bacteria in private wells.

The Company`s research and development program continues to
bring to market new water testing kits which respond to industry and
consumer concerns and isolate more cost-effective packaging and
      manufacturing methods.
