EVS Receives $1.5M Order for ScanMaster Products from One of India`s Largest Steel Manufacturers

Company`s 2005 Backlog From Strategic Indian Market: $4.3M


YOKNEAM, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 2004--Elbit Vision Systems Ltd. (OTCBB:EVSNF - News) today announced that it has received a $1.5 million order from one of India`s largest steel manufacturers for ScanMaster ultrasonic inspection systems. The order brings to $4.3 million the value of the Company`s booking of orders from India to be supplied in 2005.
"As we predicted, ScanMaster is opening up new, high-potential markets for EVS," said Zami Aberman, President of EVS. "Orders in hand give us visibility for more than 50% of the revenues we had budgeted for our full 2005 sales of ScanMaster products. Just as important, these initial deals position us for additional wins and cross-sale opportunities throughout India. As such, we now view the emerging Indian market as a strategic sales focus.

EVS`s ScanMaster products are field-proven, nondestructive ultrasonic (UT) inspection solutions used by more than 250 top-tier customers, including automobile manufacturers (GM, BMW, Volvo, Audi and others), aircraft manufacturers (Boeing, Bristol, Augusta and others), train part manufacturers and railroad operators (Austrian Railway, Deutsche Bundesbahn, Indian Railways and others), and manufacturers of components from steel, aluminum and titanium alloys.
