      Hallo liebe Abonenten,

      URANIUM MINING CORPORATION PLC
ADMISSION OF ORDINARY SHARES TO THE ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT MARKET

The Board of Uranium Mining Corporation plc (" UMC" or " the Company" ), a uranium exploration and mining investment company, announces that the Company`s ordinary shares of 5p each (“Shares”) have today been admitted to trading on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange (" AIM" ).

The Company`s trading symbol is " UOX" .
10,559,000 new Shares were allotted on 18 July 2005 to institutional and other investors by way of a pre-Admission placing at a price of 25 pence per Share (the " Placing Price" ), raising approximately £2.6 million for the Company. On admission to AIM a total of 18,379,001 Shares were in issue capitalising the Company at approximately £4.455 million at the Placing Price. Nabarro Wells & Co is the Company`s nominated adviser and broker.
UMC was formed in January 2005 for the purpose of exploring three potential uranium bearing blocks in the Central Labrador Trough of north-eastern Canada, consisting of 150 claims across 7,100 acres. The blocks are owned by Waseco Resources Inc., a Canadian company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. UMC has been granted an option to earn a 75% undivided interest in the blocks (subject to a royalty claim) by contributing, in aggregate, C$1,000,000 to their exploration.

McPhar Geosurveys Ltd, a specialist in high-resolution airborne geophysical surveying for mining and oil & gas exploration, have been contracted to carry out initial exploration and a multi-method geophysical survey was initiated at the beginning of June. Results from the survey are expected to be available in August 2005.
Exploration work carried out in the region by the major mining companies during 1976-1982 indicated that the conditions that favour uranium and other metals to accumulate into commercially viable deposits are present throughout the area. At that time testing was not completed due to the sudden drop in uranium price to approximately US$10/lb, and the price stayed relatively low until 2003. Since that time the price has consistently risen to its current level of US$29/lb.

UMC has an experienced Board of Directors, with extensive knowledge of both the mining industry as a whole and uranium mining in particular. The Company believes that with the rising price of oil and gas and concerns over waste product emissions and global warming the demand for uranium will continue to increase over the coming years. This is reflected by the fact that, according to the World Nuclear Association, as of May 2005 25 nuclear power generation facilities are under construction with a further 39 on order or planned*, whilst production from uranium mines currently supplies only 55% of the requirements of nuclear power generation facilities.
Therefore UMC are also actively seeking potentially prospective uranium properties in other countries. In particular the Company intends to focus on opportunities available in Kazakhstan, which has significant undeveloped and under-developed uranium resources. The bulk of these resources can be exploited by low-cost in-situ leaching uranium extraction methods, meaning there is limited surface environmental effect. UMC believes that developing partnerships between the Kazakhstan Government and private sector companies will allow these resources to be effectively exploited.

      Chris Kyriakou, Executive Chairman, commented:
“We are delighted that the Company’s Shares will shortly commence trading on AIM, making UMC one of the first dedicated uranium mining companies to list on London’s junior market. Demand for uranium is rising without a corresponding increase in supply and with the experience of the Company’s Board of Directors we are well placed to develop UMC into one of the world’s leading uranium exploration and mining investment companies.”
