Highest Future Earnings Growth in the Diversified Metals & Mining Industry Detected in Shares of Thompson Creek Metals

Below are the three companies in the Diversified Metals & Mining industry with the highest future earnings growth. The growth of earnings per share (next fiscal year estimated vs. current fiscal year estimated) is important to gauge future profitability and relative value. Higher EPS growth generally justifies higher earnings multiples.

Thompson Creek Metals ranks highest with a future earnings growth of 252.6%. Following is Molycorp with a future earnings growth of 179.7%. RTI International Metals ranks third highest with a future earnings growth of 123.7%.

Anmerkung dazu: Thompson Creek Metals (TMS - ehemals Blue Pearl Mining - Moly-Play) hatte ich Mitte 2006 zu rund 1,30 € gekauft und stieg bis ca. Ende 2007 auf über 13 € - mein einziger "Tenbagger" bisher (Kursziele waren natürlich noch weit höher damals). Dann kam die Finanzkrise und ich habe immer Stück für Stück verkauft - immernoch mit dickem Gewinn. Dann habe ich einen dummen Fehler gemacht und Anfang 2008 einen Batzen in den Nickelexplorer Crowflight (jetzt CaNickel - Produzent, hatten aber laufend Probleme in der Mine) gesteckt.

Daher auch der Name "Noobtraders"...
Was ich damit sagen will: Im Rohstoffsektor können die Aussichten noch so gut sein, aber man muss trotzdem genau aufpassen. Vielleicht mache ich die gleichen Fehler wieder, weil die Aussichten zu gut sind - dagegen bin auch ich nicht gefeit! Trotz jahrelanger "Erfahrung" kann ich nicht vorhersehen, wie es mit meinem Depot weitergeht. Evtl. werde ich mich von einigen Postionen trennen - aber das fällt mir im Moment sehr schwer, wenn ich mir die Bewerungen einzelner Titel ansehe (man verkauft ja ungern auf dem Tiefpunkt...).

Anderseits bin ich auch wieder sicher, dass die EMs bzw. Rohstoffe insgesamt auf lange Sicht zulegen werden (Weltbevölkerung wächst stetig - wir haben ja schon über 7 Millarden). Ob es die "Minekatien" auch tun werden (das wird immer wieder von diversen Börsenbriefen etc. propagiert), kann ich nicht sagen. Langfristig wohl ja. Kurzfrstig werde ich dann mal evtl. auch ein paar Verluste realisieren und mal Cash aufbauen - wie gesagt, ich bin noch unschlüssig.
