CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2006--The Immune Response Corporation (OTCBB:IMNR - News) announced today the development of a serum-free, chemically defined cell culture medium for the production of HIV-1 from HUT-78 cells, a human T-cell lymphoma cell line. A poster on the medium optimization process is being presented this week at the Vaccine Technology conference in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This conference is being held June 25th-30th, and is a biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing event with a special emphasis on HIV vaccine candidates and other global vaccines. The development of this medium is an important step in the development of a vaccine utilizing whole-inactivated HIV to stimulate the human immune system against the virus. The Immune Response Corporation is currently evaluating this approach for a therapeutic vaccine in clinical trials of its second-generation HIV immunotherapy IR103. This technology will also be utilized toward the development of a preventive vaccine candidate.

The purpose of a therapeutic vaccine for HIV is to bolster the immune system to more effectively mount a sustained attack against HIV-infected cells. This may be accomplished by allowing the body to create and maintain a memory of the core proteins making up the virus by exposing it to an inactivated form of HIV that could not infect or destroy the immune cells. In order to create this vaccine candidate, cells chronically infected with the virus require growth and expansion in large quantities. The resulting whole virus contained in the clarified production medium is then inactivated and further purified through a scientifically robust and strictly regulated process.

The Company has collaborated with Irvine Scientific, a leading medical device/biotechnology company located in Santa Ana, CA, to develop a chemically defined, serum-free cell culture medium for the production process that eliminates all animal-derived components, improves viral yield, and is designed to provide consistently high cell growth through to full-scale production, while maintaining the performance of the final vaccine product as an immunological stimulant against HIV.

"The progress reported at this conference represents a significant advance for the Company," said Peter Lowry, Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at The Immune Response Corporation. "This new serum-free medium greatly enhances our ongoing efforts toward an efficient, economically viable, and reproducible manufacturing process that will allow us to produce safe and consistent whole-inactivated viral vaccines in large quantities."

Through a process of screening and optimization, the Company demonstrated that the human T-cell lymphoma cell line HUT-78 (chronically infected with HIV-1) can be grown and reliably passaged in a chemically-defined cell culture medium, with cell densities exceeding two million cells/ml. In addition, initial HIV-1 viral antigen yields were improved at least two-fold over the serum supplemented medium originally used.

The Company believes that, in parallel with the continuation of the IR103 Phase II clinical program, this new medium represents a valuable step in the development of an economically sound and transferable manufacturing process for the vaccine in the future.

More than 25 million people have died since human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) was first recognized in 1981 (source: UNAIDS, December 2005), and the new infection rate continues to grow at an alarming rate. Preliminary phase II study results of The Immune Response Corporation's second-generation HIV immunotherapy, IR103, have shown the drug to have enhanced immunomodulatory effects over Remune, the company's first-generation immunotherapy.

IR103 is a co-formulation of Remune and a novel synthetic toll-like receptor (TLR-9) agonist adjuvant, Amplivax. The company presented the results at the International Symposium on HIV & Emerging Infectious Diseases (ISHEID) in Toulon, France.

IR103 differs from currently available antiretroviral drug therapies in that it is an immune-based therapy designed to replenish and enhance key immune cells that have been destroyed by the virus, thus allowing stimulation of an HIV-infected individual's immune system to fight the virus.

"The early results for IR103 in this clinical study are encouraging," said lead investigator, Dr Andrea Gori, of the Department of Internal Medicine and Surgery at San Paolo Hospital, University of Milan. "We can now proceed to further investigate the potential advance that IR103 may provide through its unique ability to actively stimulate an HIV patient's immune system to fight the virus."

ich warte noch mit dem einstieg! hab mir eine extra watchlist mit allen stockster.com werten der letzten zeit angelegt. spätestens am 3 tag war schluss und es sind alle wieder auf den boden aufgeprallt!!!

hier wird der kurs nicht in D gemacht sondern in den USA! das risiko, dass die heute nicht mitziehen ist hier viel zu groß! gestern nur 33% in usa und bei uns schon über 65%!!! das schreit förmlich danach, dass wir nochmal zurückkommen!

Der Chart sieht aber gut aus und die News ist ebenfalls gut.

Vielleicht wurde in den letzten Tagen der Kurs auch nur gedrückt, damit günstig eingesammelt werden kann.

Habe aber meine Gründe um ganz am Boden zu kaufen, ich bin bei IMNR nicht scharf auf schnelle 1000% , diese Aktie bleibt mind. 10 Jahre im Depot.

so wie es ausschaut, werden wir uns gegen 15.30 ans usa niveau anpasssen! danach entscheidet nur, was die amis machen: entweder die nehmen gewinne mit oder ziehen noch einen weiteren tag (vgl. z.b. xechem +250% in einer woche)!!!

die chancen stehen 50:50!!!

aber eins ist definitiv: 80% der werte, werden in der früh bei uns hochgetrommelt und alle die vorschnell kaufen, wundern sich dann um 15.30 uhr warum sie schon wieder im minus sind!!!deshalb meiner meinung nach....keep cool!!!

The Immune Response Corporation (OTCBB: IMNR) announced today the development of a serum-free, chemically defined cell culture medium for the production of HIV-1 from HUT-78 cells, a human T-cell lymphoma cell line. A poster on the medium optimization process is being presented this week at the Vaccine Technology conference in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This conference is being held June 25th-30th, and is a biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing event with a special emphasis on HIV vaccine candidates and other global vaccines. The development of this medium is an important step in the development of a vaccine utilizing whole-inactivated HIV to stimulate the human immune system against the virus. The Immune Response Corporation is currently evaluating this approach for a therapeutic vaccine in clinical trials of its second-generation HIV immunotherapy IR103. Mein Lieber,

der gestrige Schlußkurs lag bei 0,024 Dollar.Die 10000 Stück die um 16:25 Uhr bei 0,025 Dollar drin stehen sind sicherlich nicht gehandelt worden da es nach 16:00 Uhr keinen Handel an der OTC in den USA gibt.

Solltest Du eigentlich wissen wenn man solche Aktien empiehlt.

Somit liegt der faire deutsche Kurs bei 0,0189 Euro.


Aber wo bist Du denn eingestiegen?

Ich hatte gestern vorbörslich gesagt das dieser Thread nur ein dumer Puschversuch ist um Leute in eine fast tote Aktie zu drängen damit Sie Ihr Geld verlieren.

Und genau so ist es gekommen.

Durch deinen blöden Thread und zusätzlich durch deine ganzen empfehlungen von IMNR in anderen Threads hast Du gestern Leute dazu gebracht zu , ja sogar zu über 0,03 Euro in diese Aktie zu gehen.

Wie schläft es sich denn so damit.

Jeder ist für seine Kohle selbst verantwortlich. Wenn jemand aufgrund von Thread-Einträgen Aktien kauft oder verkauft, dann ist demjenigen auch nicht mehr zu helfen und wahrscheinlich wird diese Person auch bald nicht mehr an der Börse handeln.

Bin gestern auch eingestiegen (zu 0,029 Euro), habe mir aber die News angesehen (hatte ich besser interpretiert als der Markt) und den Chart (hier ist nach wie vor eine Kurserhohlung möglich).

Der momentane Stand ist natürlich nicht so schön, aber ein gewisses Risiko ist bei solchen Pennys immer gegeben. Die Chancen sind aber ebenfalls gigantisch.

The Immune Response Corporation (OTCBB:IMNR) announced that its Registration Statement for the resale of common stock underlying the convertible notes and warrants issued in the Company's March 2006 private placement financing was declared effective today by the Securities and Exchange Commission. In that private placement, the Company issued $8.0 million of secured notes which are convertible into 400,000,000 shares of common stock at $0.02 per share. The secured convertible notes accrue interest at 8% per year and mature on January 1, 2008. Investors also received warrants to purchase an aggregate of 1,200,000,000 shares of common stock at $0.02 per share; these warrants, if fully exercised, would generate an additional $24 million in gross proceeds for the Company. The warrants are divided into two 600,000,000 warrant tranches.

Investors have in fact already exercised 205,000,000 warrants to generate $4.1 million of the potential $12 million in gross proceeds from the first tranche. The remaining 395,000,000 warrants of this first tranche expire 45 days following notification to the warrant holders of today's resale registration of the shares underlying the warrants. The second tranche of warrants (600,000,000) becomes exercisable 70 days after the expiration of the first tranche of the warrants and expires 45 days after they become exercisable.

"We are pleased that so many investors exercised their warrants even before the SEC declared the registration statement effective," said Michael K. Green, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. "This additional capital will enable us to continue our progress with Phase II clinical trials for both our multiple sclerosis (MS) and HIV products. We are optimistic about receiving the full potential proceeds from our March financing now that the registration statement is effective."

Hier was Neues, keine alten Sachen vom March 2006

When considering holding a stock versus flipping one, I always follow the money.
The company started a private placement funding plan in January 2006. They filed several SEC filings detailing plans to offer millions of dollars worth of shares with warrants executeable at .02 per share. The first offering was completed with 400 million shares at .02/share for $8,000,00.
The warrants are a solid .02 offering with no ratchet or antidilution clauses I can find like you would find with typical SEDA financing AKA Cornell.In June 2006, investors have converted over $5,000,000 worth of warrants at .02/share even with the market price being slightly over .02. Thats alot of shares which adds to the market cap and overall dilution, but thats also alot of big money holding common shares at .02. Consider also that insiders are exercising options at .02 per share. Thats a big gamble on this company or is it they know something we don't?

What I have to say now draws a comparison to XKEM. Below is a copied section of page 32 from XKEMs 10QSB filing in May 2006 addressing conversions.

In addition to MS, Immune Response has open Investigational New Drug Applications (IND) with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for clinical evaluation of TCR peptide-based immune-based therapies for rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis. IR103 is based on the Company's patented whole-inactivated virus technology, and tested in extensive clinical studies of Remune, the first-generation HIV product candidate of Immune Response. In early 2006, Immune Response made a strategic decision to accelerate the development of IR103, rather than pursue a Phase III trial with Remune.

NeuroVax

NeuroVax is a novel, immune-based therapy designed to induce the body's own defense system to combat the pathogenic T-cells known to be the primary cause of MS. Short TCR peptides with amino acid sequences mimicking sequences on the surface of the pathogenic T-cells within the central nervous system have been shown in animals to induce immune responses that can cure MS-like disease. The mechanism of action appears to be the induction of regulatory T-cells capable of down regulating the pathogenic T-cells causing the disease. NeuroVax, containing an adjuvant and a combination of three TCR peptides selected to represent the pathogenic T-cells in about 90% of MS patients, has been shown in clinical trials (see below) to stimulate disease-specific immune cells in essentially all treated patients; a significant percentage of which are regulatory T-cells capable of suppressing autoreactive CD4+ T-cells. NeuroVax was designed with the goal of increasing the likelihood of producing disease-specific immune responses capable of controlling the activity of these pathogenic T-cells similar to their control in healthy individuals.

A 40-patient open label Phase II study was initiated in 2003 to allow patients previously enrolled in the blinded trial above to receive NeuroVax. These studies were performed at Oregon Health and Science University in conjunction with the Immune Tolerance Network. The fully enrolled study was completed at the end of 2005. NeuroVax induced strong immune responses in essentially all treated patients. Results reported during 2005 from a completed Phase I/II study showed that NeuroVax restored normal levels of FOXP3+ Treg cells in patients who, at baseline, had statistically significant diminished levels of FOXP3+ Treg cells compared to healthy controls. After 24 weeks, the patients treated with NeuroVax who completed the trial showed stimulation of their FOXP3+ Treg cells to levels well above their suppressed baseline levels, and often to levels higher than healthy controls. These elevated levels of FOXP3+ Treg cells activity remained stable through the complete 52-week study. These new data indicate a novel, specific mechanism of action for NeuroVax that could restore regulatory functions of the immune system in MS patients that are critical to controlling the pathogenesis of the disease.

Immune Response is planning additional Phase II studies of NeuroVax to test the clinical benefits of the product. One such study will be conducted primarily in Eastern Europe and will include an evaluation of clinical endpoints including MRI and relapse rate. The Company also has FDA approval to initiate a second 40-patient trial that will enroll new RRMS patients along with patients previously treated with NeuroVax.

Further, Immune Response holds IND applications on similar TCR peptide-based therapies targeted at rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis, two other autoimmune diseases in which the same mechanism of action may be therapeutic. The Company may seek to develop or out-license these products, depending upon the availability of resources.

IR103

IR103 is the Company's second-generation HIV immunotherapy. It is based on Immune Response's patented whole-inactivated virus technology, which was indicated to be safe and immunogenic in extensive clinical studies of Remune, its first-generation HIV product candidate. Preclinical research and recent clinical data show that IR103 is a more potent formulation that combines its whole-inactivated antigen with a synthetic Toll-like receptor (TLR-9) agonist to create enhanced HIV-specific immune responses. This product differs from available antiretroviral drug therapies since it is designed to stimulate an HIV-infected individual's immune system to fight the virus.

Immune Response completed the first part of a 49-patient Phase I/II five-arm, randomized, single-blind, controlled, multi-center clinical study of safety and bioactivity of IR103 in HIV patients on HAART at sites in the United Kingdom and Canada, and plans to report new data as it becomes available in 2006. Preliminary results of this trial, reported in 2005, indicate that IR103 is safe, induces HIV-specific immune responses and greatly enhances IFN-gamma and RANTES mRNA. IFN-gamma and RANTES are considered immune system markers that give an estimate of the robustness of the immune response generated by IR103 in patients.

The second part of this study along with another similar study in Italy will test IR103 as a first-line treatment for drug-naïve HIV-infected individuals not yet eligible for antiretroviral therapy according to current medical guidelines. These studies, which Immune Response plans to expand, will ultimately enroll over 200 drug-naïve patients. Along with tracking safety and measuring HIV-specific immune responses, these studies will assess IR103's ability to affect patients' CD4+ counts. CD4+ count is a critical marker of HIV disease progression that is used, along with viral load, to determine when a patient should begin antiretroviral therapy.

Remune

IR103/Remune, unlike antiviral drugs, can induce an HIV-specific response, which is now thought by numerous researchers to be important in controlling HIV replication. Remune has been administered to over 2,000 patients in over 25 separate clinical trials, has a safety profile, is well tolerated and is easy to administer via intramuscular injection in the deltoid muscle. Data from clinical trials of Remune suggest that it may induce a HIV-specific T-cell response; induce cytokines and chemokines, substances that interfere with the virus attaching to and infecting normal cells; work with antiretroviral drugs as a complementary treatment for HIV infection; work in drug-naïve patients to delay the need for initiation of HAART, and be safe with no adverse side effects. Although Remune has been the subject of extensive clinical trials, additional trials will be needed before the Company would be permitted to submit Remune to the FDA or other regulatory agencies for commercialization.

viele neue aktien und es wird geshortet.
weisst du aber selbst, denke ich.

dennoch bin ich eingestiegen.
wie viele andere kapitalgeber zuvor auch.

damit gibt es über 8 mio dollar zusätzlich cash, wenn ich mich nicht irre,
und den definitiven boden bei 0,02 usd.

da kann es ja nur aufwärts gehen.
und: es gibt die phase 2 studien, wovon mindestens eine in die phase 3 geht. so hoffe ich.

dann geht es hier endlich ab.

und den ersten kleinen ausschlag haben wir ja schon vor tagen gesehen.

habe heute noch einmal 30.000 zu 0,015 nachgekauft.

Somit auf jeden Fall schon einmal den Durchschnittskurs verringert.

Vielleicht ist dies ja auch der Boden.

Wenn der Kurs in ein bis zwei Jahren wesentlich höher steht, ist es mir aber auch egal, wenn dies nicht der Boden gewesen ist.

dieses irrationale Verhalten einiger Investoren erlebe ich auch ständig bei ELAN (WKN 903801 und 871331). Hier sind die momentanen Kurse bei den Zukunftsaussichten nicht zu begreifen.

Bei ELAN habe ich momentan auch 90-95% meines Depots drin.

Habe bei meinem ersten Kaufkurs (€0,029) aber auch ein nicht so glückliches Händchen gehabt.



Generell halte ich bei IMNR steigende Kurs für sehr wahrscheinlich (Pipeline und Charttechnik).

Vor einem Jahr standen wir bei €0,60. Wäre doch schön wenn dieses wieder erreicht werden könnte.

Irgendjemand muss dann ja schon ein "großes" Interesse an dem Unternehmen haben.



Ich weiß, wenn einer kauft, dann muss auch einer verkaufen. Aber wenn der Boden so fest ist wie bei IMNR im Moment, deutet es eher auf einen großen Käufer und viele kleine Verkäufer, als umgekehrt.

Gemeinsam sollen sie sich fortan auf die Erforschung eines Impfstoffs konzentrieren können. Um einen schnelleren und leichteren Ergebnisaustausch zu ermöglichen, werden sie zudem mit fünf zentralen Laboratorien und Datenanalyse-Einrichtungen verbunden.

Die nötigen Mittel für diese „Collaboration for Aids Vaccine Discovery“, so der offizielle Titel, stammen zu 100 Prozent von der „Gates Foundation“. Die amerikanische Stiftung des Microsoft-Gründers Bill Gates und seiner Frau Melinda hat 287 Millionen Dollar fest zugesagt - die größte Summe, die bislang von privater Seite für die HIV/Aids-Forschung ausgegeben wurde. Sie entspricht etwa der Hälfte des Geldes, das im Jahr 2004 (690 Millionen Dollar) insgesamt in die HIV-Impfstofforschung geflossen ist.

Menschliche und tierische Antikörper isolieren

Nach Angaben der „Gates Foundation“ sollen die elf geförderten Konsortien vor allem zwei wissenschaftliche Hemmnisse überwinden: die Entwicklung von Impfstoffkandidaten, die in der Lage sind, die Bildung von effizienten neutralisierenden Antikörpern gegen HIV anzuregen, und die Verbesserung der zur Zeit vorhandenen Impfstoffkandidaten, so daß diese eine stärkere und länger anhaltende zelluläre Immunantwort zum Schutz vor dem Virus auslösen. The Immune Response Corporation (OTCBB:IMNR) announced today the receipt of approvals to expand its Phase II IR103 study in drug-naive HIV patients to include clinical sites in France. The trial, which is currently ongoing at several sites in Italy, will examine IR103, a second-generation immunotherapy, as a first-line treatment for drug-naive HIV-infected individuals not yet recommended for antiretroviral therapy according to current medical guidelines. Ultimately, more than 200 drug-naive patients will be enrolled in two parallel clinical studies being conducted in France and Italy, Canada and the UK.

"We are very pleased to have obtained regulatory approval to expand our IR103 study into France," said Georgia Theofan, Ph.D., Vice President of Clinical Development of The Immune Response Corporation. "The enrollment of additional patients in Europe will allow us to generate important data on IR103's role in stabilizing CD4+ cell counts in HIV drug-naive patients."

The study, which includes a rollover patient population from a previous clinical study of the Company's first generation immunotherapy, REMUNE(R), is designed to assess the safety and ability of various doses of IR103 to induce HIV-specific immunity. The trial will also measure changes in CD4+ counts, a critical marker of HIV disease progression that is used, along with viral load, to determine when a patient should begin antiretroviral therapy. The Immune Response Corporation: Why a Vaccine Provides an Important Therapy

The purpose of a therapeutic vaccine for HIV is to bolster the immune system to more effectively mount a sustained attack against HIV-infected cells. This may be accomplished by allowing the body to create and maintain a memory of the core proteins making up the virus by exposing it to an inactivated form of HIV that could not infect or destroy the immune cells. In order to create this vaccine candidate, cells chronically infected with the virus require growth and expansion in large quantities.

The Immune Response Corporation announced the development of a serum-free, chemically defined cell culture medium for the production of HIV-1 from HUT-78 cells, a human T-cell lymphoma cell line.

The development of this medium is an important step in the development of a vaccine utilizing whole-inactivated HIV to stimulate the human immune system against the virus. The Immune Response Corporation is currently evaluating this approach for a therapeutic vaccine in clinical trials of its second-generation HIV immunotherapy IR103. weit und breit.Der Kurs sollte schon längst bei über einem Dollar

Dear Shareholders,

As I approach my first anniversary as President and CEO of The Immune Response Corporation, I am delighted to report that the Company has made tremendous progress during the last year in pursuit of a revamped and reinvigorated corporate and clinical strategy. Our strategy was designed to position IRC for long-term success by accelerating the development of our most promising immune-based therapies: NeuroVax™ for multiple sclerosis (MS) and IR103 for HIV/AIDS. It was the significant potential impact and value of these therapies that attracted me to step away from my position at the White House and join IRC in the first place. Both of our candidate vaccines have the potential to offer the following important clinical advances to patients suffering from these devastating diseases:

A highly targeted means to mobilize their immune system to control the mechanism of disease;

A new therapeutic option that can potentially be used early and throughout the course of disease alone and in conjunction with other therapies; and

An attractive infrequent dosing regimen that to date shows no substantial system side effects.

I see both products at the vanguard of 21st century medicine – they are highly targeted, potentially less toxic medicines that harness the body’s own defenses to control and prevent disease. The possibilities of this type of treatment are well portrayed in an article from this month’s issue of Scientific American called “Peacekeepers of the Immune System” which details the role of FoxP3+ T Regulatory cells, the same cells our product, NeuroVax™ has been shown to stimulate in MS patients.

Through focused effort by our team and with meaningful financial support from our shareholders, we have begun to make important strides toward realizing the potential of our products. The purpose of this update is to highlight our accomplishments as well as provide insights into our future plans. I also hope to convey our enthusiasm and firm belief that IRC is now headed in the right direction. I, my team and our Board of Directors are convinced that we have made the right strategic choices so far. We are committed to rigorous science and believe the completion of robust clinical trials for our products offers the most viable path to success.

Despite our conviction and our progress, we remain frustrated by the performance of our stock and believe our share price does not nearly reflect the current and potential value of our company. This gap in value is, of course, the crux of the opportunity for investors that have recently purchased our stock or are considering doing so in the near future. We intend to continue to execute our clinical, commercial and communications plans and, in doing so, strive to build substantial value for our shareholders.

Accomplishments

The last seven months have been highly productive. We have raised capital, presented new data and advanced the clinical programs for both products, as well as demonstrated dramatic yield improvements at our manufacturing facility. The key milestones we have hit during this active period are:

Financing

Raised $17.9 million through the completion of a private placement in February/March and the exercise of warrants between June and August

Multiple Sclerosis – NeuroVax™

Organized clinical investigators at sites in 12 European countries for patient enrollment to begin before year end for our 200-patient Phase IIb trial of NeuroVax™

Secured key partnerships with a leading MS clinical research organization (CRO) and outstanding MRI analysis facility to oversee and support our Phase IIb NeuroVax™ trial

Established a prestigious MS scientific advisory board composed of key opinion leaders who are now active in helping guide the development of NeuroVax™

Presented new Phase II data at the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) meeting demonstrating the ability of NeuroVax™ to restore MS patients’ FOXP3+ regulatory T-cell levels which are believed to help control disease progression

HIV/AIDS – IR103

Completed the first stage of enrollment of anti-retroviral naïve patients (55 new patients, 31 returning patients) in our Phase II trial of IR103 in Italy

Announced approval to expand our Phase II trial of IR103 in Italy to include clinical sites in France as well as an additional 50 patients

Presented preliminary Phase II data at the ISHEID conference demonstrating IR103’s ability to enhance HIV-specific immune responses in drug naïve patients

Manufacturing

Announced an at least two-fold increase in HIV antigen production yields using new, optimized manufacturing processes

The remainder of this year and 2007 are shaping up to be even more eventful.

Multiple Sclerosis – NeuroVax™/Autoimmune Diseases

The imminent launch of our 200-patient Phase IIb trial of NeuroVax™ will be a watershed event for our company. The milestones we announced yesterday are the product of months of enormous effort by our management team to assemble and coordinate all of the resources we need to properly carry out this significant trial. We carefully selected Accelsiors, a CRO with an outstanding track record with Multiple Sclerosis Phase II trials. We recruited clinical investigators at sites in 12 Eastern and Central European countries selected because they offer some of the only sophisticated locations remaining with sufficient numbers of diagnosed but untreated MS patients, MRI capabilities needed to conduct sound research and which also allow placebo-controlled studies. We are now completing all of the regulatory processes and product shipments to get these sites ready for patient enrollment and will hold a kick-off meeting for our investigators in Budapest, Hungary in November. Patient enrollment of the multi-center, randomized, double-blind trial is set to begin shortly thereafter.

Successful completion of this trial has the potential to put our technology center stage in the battle against MS and other autoimmune diseases. The 200-patient trial will test the clinical benefits of one year of treatment with NeuroVax™ versus a placebo. The primary endpoint of the trial is cumulative new brain lesions as shown by MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), but the trial will also track patients’ relapse rates and neurological performance. All of these data will give us a thorough profile of the potential efficacy of NeuroVax™, enabling us to pursue a significant partnership to commercialize this product.

FOXP3+ Highlighted in latest issue of Scientific American

This large NeuroVax™ trial will also give us the opportunity to further explore the FOXP3+ regulatory T-cell mechanism of action that was demonstrated in our Phase IIa trial data presented this past April at AAN. As evidenced by the article entitled “Peacekeepers of the Immune System” in the latest issue of Scientific American, the role of FOXP3+ regulatory T-cells in controlling autoimmune disease has become a very important topic in immunology in the last 18 months. To our knowledge, NeuroVax™ is the first therapeutic that has been shown in clinical trials to boost FOXP3+ levels in patients with MS. Our new trial will generate substantial additional data related to this mechanism which we hope will help scientists better understand the potential for NeuroVax™ to alter the course of MS by amplifying FOXP3+ responses.

Beyond MS, we believe that our approach that impacts on the FOXP3+ immune regulatory mechanism could well prove to be a major breakthrough for autoimmune disease in general including psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) for which we have TCR peptide-based therapeutic vaccines (Zorcell™ for psoriasis and RaVax™ for RA) with Investigational New Drug Applications with the FDA. During the next year, we plan to initiate new clinical work with at least one of these products aimed at evaluating the effect on FOXP3+. This work will expand our autoimmune product pipeline and position us to further exploit the potential of our intellectual property position with respect to clinical applications of vaccines and diagnostics that impact FOXP3+.

HIV/AIDS – IR103

Recent HIV/AIDS studies indicate that a patient’s CD4+ count is the most significant marker of HIV disease progression. An immune based therapy like IR103 that can impact CD4+ count may well be an enormous contribution to the current treatment landscape.

Between now and the end of the year, we intend to complete enrollment of over 200 antiretroviral drug-naïve patients in our expanded Phase II clinical trials of IR103 in Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and Canada. These trials, for which we have already enrolled over 100 patients, are designed to run one year and give us a robust clinical and immunological profile of IR103. We plan to leverage these data to design pivotal trials of this product and to help drive new collaborations to support our global development program. We hope to have interim results from these open label Phase II clinical trials soon, which will provide important data regarding the impact of IR013 on CD4+ counts and other important markers.

In the meantime, our team has been hard at work building and, in some cases, reestablishing relationships with key HIV/AIDS clinicians, scientists and activists. I am encouraged by the reception we have garnered so far to our new vaccine candidate and revised clinical strategy. Increasing numbers of people in the HIV/AIDS community are beginning to understand that the “whole, inactivated” HIV antigen concept – our technology – has not been explored enough either as a therapeutic or preventive vaccine. We are intent on building upon this support to gather scientific, clinical and financial assistance for our product development efforts. I am optimistic that we will be able to share some of the first meaningful signs of this added support over the course of the next year.

The Future

Our products – NeuroVax™ and IR103 – are potential breakthroughs in the treatment of MS and HIV/AIDS. Our objective over the next 18-24 months is to provide robust clinical evidence of this potential that we can leverage to build substantial shareholder value and enable our company to advance these products toward commercialization. Looking ahead, we have set clear goals for this critical period which include:

Completing patient enrollment for our Phase II clinical trials on schedule

Presenting interim results from open label IR103 trials at scientific forums throughout 2007

Securing an appropriate level of financing to facilitate the execution of our strategic plans

Completing our Phase II clinical trials and presenting final results in accordance with rigorous scientific standards

Executing public and private partnerships to expedite the further development of our products

Achieving our goals will depend both on clinical and commercial execution and on the continued financial transformation of our company. This year’s financing transactions have dramatically reshaped our capitalization and several additional steps remain to be completed before we can optimize IRC’s appeal to the broadest base of potential investors. These include:

Generating maximum proceeds from the exercise of the final tranche of 2006 Private Placement warrants prior to their expiration on November 30, 2006;

Completing an appropriate and well-timed reverse stock split; and

Qualifying for re-listing on a major stock exchange.

As you are likely aware, we received shareholder approval for a reverse stock split of up to 1-for-100 last April. Such a reverse split will be a critical step in increasing IRC’s appeal to institutional investors as well as enabling us to qualify for re-listing. While we are committed to completing this course of action at the appropriate time, we are even more committed to protecting shareholder value through and after the process. We remain cautious and thoughtful about this step, and plan to effectuate it in the context of complementary achievements and events to generate the most positive outcome.

Overall, I am very encouraged by the progress we have made and with the outlook for our future. While I am disappointed that our success and potential are not reflected in our share price, I continue to believe that the market will ultimately recognize the true value of IRC and that current shareholders will be rewarded for their support, patience and prescience. I offer my sincere gratitude to our shareholders who provided necessary capital in support of our efforts through their participation in the private placement of our securities in February and March and by exercising their warrants this summer. I am hopeful that this financial support will continue as we approach the 45-day exercise period of the final $12 million tranche of warrants.
