Salomon Smith Barney: "Everyone wants to have a part of it. There`s not much in the company now, but the stock will go up. The game in town is the internet..."

Alle bieten zweisprachige Portale an.
Laut Wall Street Journal plant AOL fest, die Option auszuüben.
Sonnige Grüße

Hallo Hitman,
nachfolgend ein interessanter Beitrag für Dich. Das entscheidende ist wohl der letzte Satz.
Sina.com hat übrigens ca. 900 000 user
Sina.com voted top Chinese Internet site
By staff, IT Daily.

HONG KONG--Chinese Web site Sina.com has reportedly become China`s top portal, even surpassing traffic to
the Chinese version of Yahoo by 50 per cent, according to a survey conducted by research group www.consult.
Called the "China Internet User Survey," the study involved about 15,000 Internet users in China.
Besides looking at the popularity of particular Web sites, the survey even captured demographic and preference
data in numerous categories. Sina.com was cited by more than 30 percent of all respondents as the preferred
Internet destination with the site offering the broadest range of information services of any targeting Chinese
language users.
The survey discovered that the average Internet user in China was a 27-year-old male, with 48 percent of all
respondents being professionals and two thirds working in information technology (IT) and telecoms.
The majority of respondents use the Internet to gather information or shop online.
Key issues in the continuing development of e-commerce in China are accepted methods of payments for goods
and services, customer service, and a site that offers native language.
Most respondents indicated that they preferred locally based Chinese Web sites to US-based English language
counterparts.
Sina.com`s network includes three sites: Sina.com, Sina.com.cn , and Sina.com.tw.
The other top sites in the survey were the likes of http://www.yahoo.com, http://home.netease.com,
http://www.sohu.com , and http://gbchinese.yahoo.com.
China.com, the Hong-Kong-based portal company soon to be listed on NASDAQ did not make it into the top 20
sites.
