WHITE ROCK, British Columbia, Feb. 14 /CNW/ -- travelbyus.com ltd.
(TSE: TBU; Frankfurt Stock Exchange: TVB) announced today that it has signed an agreement with Midway Airlines Corporation to operate its private label tour product, Midway Airlines Vacations. travelbyus.com will begin promoting and taking reservations for Midway Vacations on February 26, 2000.
Products offered under the Midway Airlines Vacations name will initially include air/land inclusive packages to Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa and Miami/Fort Lauderdale. Myrtle Beach and other Midway Airlines destinations will be added in the near future. The travelbyus.com cruise products, which include discounted rates on several cruise lines, will also be offered with air add-ons under the Midway Airlines Vacations private label operation. Based on historical traffic, travelbyus.com estimates gross revenue for the product at $6 million annually.
Midway Airlines, headquartered in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, is a high quality full service airline, and, in conjunction with its commuter partner, Corporate Airlines, operates 232 daily flights. Midway Airlines recently took delivery of the first of 17 new Boeing 737`s. Midway serves 26 destinations in 15 states and operates the youngest fleet of all jet aircraft in the country. Midway Airlines Vacation travelers will receive American Airlines AAdvantage(R) program miles for most flights on Midway Airlines. "We are delighted to be selected as the exclusive in-house tour operator for such a fine airline," said Executive Vice President, John Fenyes. "We are confident we can deliver a quality, vacation program with competitively priced packages to leisure destinations in Florida and along the East Coast," said Fenyes.
