Triangle Participates in Drilling First Deep Basin Gas Well
Thursday October 13, 9:00 am ET

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 13, 2005--Triangle Petroleum Corporation (the "Company") (OTCBB: TPLM - News) is pleased to announce the following development in its wholly-owned operating subsidiary, Elmworth Energy Corporation ("Elmworth").

Elmworth is participating in a 2,500 meter (8,250 feet) Cretaceous drilling project in the Deep Basin of West Central Alberta. Drilling of this well is scheduled to commence immediately and this first evaluation well will allow the Company to earn the right to drill in five additional sections of land (approximately 3,200 acres).

The operator of the well is an experienced, Calgary-based company with strong capabilities in all phases of drilling, completion and production. Elmworth will be paying 38.5 % of the costs. The drilling portion of this well attributable to Elmworth is expected to cost $500,000 Cdn. Elmworth`s operating partner obtained this opportunity from a royalty trust company and offered the interest to Elmworth on equal terms to itself. It is Elmworth`s intent to pursue projects such as this in order to establish good working relationships and to acquire select land positions in the highly competitive Deep Basin area of Alberta.

Three prospective gas horizons are targeted for this location. The intervals are interpreted to be gas bearing with deliverability being the key factor to commerciality. There is existing pipeline capacity in the area. The reservoir opportunities at this location are not directly visible on 3-D seismic; however, adjacent geological control (nearby producing wells) strongly supports this exploration well. Should the first location be successful a near term follow up well is planned. Information regarding this well will be released by the operator as required.

Triangle Petroleum Corporation (the "Company" or
"Triangle") (OTCBB:TPLM) is pleased to announce the following
developments in the Company and its wholly-owned operating
subsidiary, Elmworth Energy Corporation ("Elmworth").

Elmworth has executed a letter of intent with a Calgary, Alberta
based drilling contractor to secure a drilling rig for Elmworth`s
Canadian winter 2005/2006 program with a start date of December 1,
2005. The 3,000 meter rig will be located in the south Grande Prairie
Area. Crest Energy Consultants has been engaged by Elmworth to design
and supervise all phases of the drilling and completion programs for
the company in Canada.

Elmworth plans to work with industry partners to establish gas
production in the greater Deep Basin area of Alberta and welcomes
strategic partners and joint ventures. Elmworth`s geo-science team is
developing new prospects based on area experience and a recently
acquired 3-D seismic survey (see June 28 press release).

Ron Hietala, President of Elmworth, states "we are fortunate to
contract a drilling rig given the strong levels of activity in the
industry right now and look forward to utilizing the very capable
team at Crest for our drilling programs."

In addition, Triangle has secured the services of a qualified

Triangle Pursues Barnett Shale Project

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 2005--Triangle Petroleum Corporation (OTCBB:TPLM - News; the "Company" or "Triangle") is pleased to announce the creation of a wholly owned subsidiary, Triangle USA Petroleum Corporation ("Triangle USA") in order to pursue key emerging resource projects in the United States.

The first project for Triangle USA is in the Barnett Shale trend of the Greater Fort Worth Basin. The Barnett Shale trend was pioneered by Mitchell Energy starting in 1981. Commercialization of the project was slow to occur until the application of large water fracturing stimulations at the Newark East Field in 1997. A second technology breakthrough occurred with the application of horizontal wells and selective stimulations. The Barnett Shale trend now supports daily production in excess of 1 BCF (billion cubic feet) per day of natural gas with the USGS (United States Geological Survey) estimating a resource potential of greater than 25 TCF (trillion cubic feet) of natural gas. The Barnett Shale trend is the largest gas field in Texas with the productive limits being expanded as the eighty plus active drilling rigs deliver new insights and understanding to the area operators.

Triangle USA has entered into the Barnett Shale trend through a joint venture with Kerogen Resources Inc. ("Kerogen") of Houston, Texas (www.kerogenresources.com). Kerogen`s focus is to identify and exploit present and future shale gas projects within the United Sates and internationally. The team forming Kerogen has an excellent track record of finding large resource plays in Canada and the United States. The principals of Kerogen also have many years of shale gas evaluation experience coupled with active involvement in the drilling, completion and production phases of Barnett Shale gas commercialization.

Triangle USA, along with the joint venture partners led by Kerogen, has commenced a land acquisition phase in targeted counties in Texas. Diesen Montag wurde weiterhin bekannt gegeben, dass man sich für die im Winter geplanten Bohrungen die notwendigen technische Geräte und die Bohrausrüstung gesichert hat. Mit einem kanadischen Bohrunternehmen wurde ein Vertrag geschlossen, wonach Triangle ab dem 01.12.2005 die notwendigen technischen Geräte zur Verfügung gestellt bekommt.

Außerdem wurde Aly Musani zum neuen Finanzvorstand (CFO) ernannt. Musani arbeitete bis 1999 beim Beratungsunternehmen Deloitte & Touche in Calgary, wo er als Berater tätig war. Danach arbeitete er für ein sehr erfolgreiches Ölfeldservice-Unternehmen.

Damit dürfte sich die angestaute Spannung nun rasch in steigenden Kursen entladen. Da der Chartausbruch ein klares Kaufsignal darstellt, rechnen wir in den kommenden Tagen und Wochen mit einer zunehmenden Kursdynamik bei starkem Kaufinteresse. Es gibt im Chart nun keinerlei erkennbare Widerstände mehr, so dass einer neuen Kursrallye nichts mehr im Wege steht.

Also n´en schönen Abend allerseits. Habe heute von "Investoralert" Post bekommen. Ein Hochglanzheftchen zum Thema TRIANGLE PETROLEUM CORP . Sehr , sehr merkwürdig. Die Jungs scheinen richtig viel Geld dafür zu bekommen deutsche Lemminge zu finden, die diesen Schrott kaufen. Ein Papier, das noch vor wenigen Monaten bei wenigen US-cent gelegen hat soll jetzt der große Bringer sein...O.K. das alleine wäre ja noch nicht das Thema. Aber überlegt mal. Warum muß denn so eine "Perle" im OTCBB "rumhängen"? Wenn die so toll sind warum nicht gleich im NASDAQ NM? Am Freitag höheres Volumen in Frankfurt als am OTCBB. Sehr verdächtig! Wenn sich da nicht noch mal ein paar Player "geloaded" haben um die Lemminge am Montag richtig auszunehmen!
Also, wenn sich investierte Hedgen wollen dann biete ich ne OTC-Wette über BM an: Wette, daß der Laden um Splitt etc. bereinigt per 30.06.2006 unter 1 USD steht (European Style). Wetteinsatz: Ne Flasche Moet (Standard-Flasche 0,75l). Die ersten drei bekommen einen Kontrakt.

Um nicht falsch verstanden zu werden: Mark Gustafson ist ein erfolgreicher Manager im Ölgeschäft, dem zuzutrauen ist, daß er auf lange Sicht etwas aus Triangle macht. Aber die jetzige MarketCap von fast 90 Mio. USD ist für einen Explorer ohne Produktion jenseits von Gut und Böse. Bei einem Drittel davon könnte man bei hoher Risikobereitschaft über einen Einstieg nachdenken.
