Union Capital Limited`s associate Identikey Limited has secured its
first major sale order in the Asian market through its newly
appointed distributor in the region Byte Power. The order has a
retail value of over $1 million and represents a significant first
step into the expanding Asian marketplace.

As part of Identikey`s focus in the region, Identikey has commenced a
number of initiatives including the conversion of the Identikey web
site into Mandarin by the end of May and the conversion of the
product to Mandarin by the end of July. Identikey will also be
exhibiting at Tokyo in October and CA World, Shanghai in November.

Identikey`s Product and Development Manager, Michael Daniell is
currently touring Asia with Byte Power`s Managing Director Alvin Phua
to promote the Identikey product line in Hong Kong, Singapore,
Taiwan, Malaysia and mainland China.

Identikey has partnered with Byte Power as preferred distributor in
$1 million Asian deal. Identikey joins Brisbane-based Byte Power to
expand its Internet security distribution network into China, Hong
Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

"We chose Byte Power because of its extensive network throughout Asia
and Asia Pacific," said Mark Austin, Asia Pacific channels manager,
Identikey. "This partnership is very strategic for Identikey, giving
us a strong foothold in the Asian reseller market."

Byte Power has established partnerships for banking and finance,
government, corporate and IT&T sectors in Asia.

"Byte Power has a thriving 12-year presence in Asia. It would have
been a long and difficult task to penetrate that market without its
knowledge and reputation. We now have direct access to multinational
organisations," said Mark Austin.

THE TIME IS RIGHT FOR ASIA

Peter David, chief operating officer, Identikey said, "The timing is
pivotal in regard to current economic growth in Asia. Now that
world trade has opened to China, there is a strong incentive from
Asian institutions to embrace the Internet, particularly business-to-
business e-commerce.
