Will ORCL`s great results help turn the tech`s back up? While retail
sales were up, we don`t think any selling will be long term. One thing
looming on the horizon is the Fed`s December 21 meeting. That will have
investors on edge, but we do not believe there is any way the Fed will
raise rates in December. What we believe, however, won`t sway the
markets. It is quite possible that the markets continue to sell all week
ahead of the meeting, and then rally when the Fed does not raise rates,
but tightens its bias to scold consumers about buying that extra gift for
uncle Bob who usually just gets a hug and a mug of egg nog. Those who are
saying that the rally is dead and the markets are going to sell off 20%
are premature. They are guessing at tops believing just like the Fed that
because the markets have rallied so far they must fall. While history
tells us that, if you listened to them the past three weeks, you missed a
nice move. As with the economy, we look at the actual numbers. Yes the
NASDAQ is way over its 200 day moving average, but it has been moving up
until today. When it sold off at the end of November, it jumped right
back up. It is too early to tell if a correction is coming. There is a
difference between some selling and a correction. Distribution days are
selling days, and they can foretell a correction. All stocks pull back
and all markets pull back, but that does not mean a rally or uptrend is
over. That is what we think we are seeing here. We will not get too much
selling in before we feel investors will be back into the techs-they will
look too good.

Hallo Trader,
