Ich möchte heute eine neue Aktie vorstellen, mit hohem Risiko, aber überduchschnittlichem Potential.
Die Aktie heißt Norwood Resources, ein kanadisches Unternehmen, das die Ölexplorationsrechte in einer ausichtsreichen Gegend in Nicaragua erworben hat.
TEIL 1
Historischer Kontext, warum Nicaragualange Zeit vernachlässigt wurde:
In den letzten Jahrzehnten hatten verschiedene Koloniale Mächte das Sagen in Nicaragua. Von größerer Bedeutung war die Machtübernahme des Somoza Clans im Jahr 1934. General Anastasio Somoza ließ dabei einen seiner liberalen Kontrahenten (Augusto Sandino) ermorden und ernannte sich selbst als neuen Präsidenten des Landes. Somoza regierte als rücksichtloser Diktator Nicaragua über 20 Jahre hinweg, wobei der Wohlstand der eigenen Familie klar im Vordergrund stand. 1956 fiel Somoza einer Verschwörung zum Opfer.
Der Famlienclan konnte sich aber bis zum zerstörerischen Erdbeben 1979 an der Regentschaft halten. Als die Somozas um internationale Hilfe für die Erdbebenopfer baten formierte sich zeitgleich die Sandinista, eine oppositionelle Gruppe, der noch im gleichen Jahr die Machtübernahme gelang. Diese setzten im Eilgang sozialistische Reformen um, die von den USA zur Zeit des Kalten Krieges extrem kritisch betrachtet wurden.
Unter der Regierung von Reagan wurde eine gegenrevolutionäre Gruppe, die Contras, finanziell unterstützt. Nachdem trotz aller Bemühungen der USA die Sandinistas auch im Jahr 1984 den Wahlsieg errungen haben, wurden die finanziellen Zuschüsse der USA an Contras über illegale Waffenverkäufe getragen. Hierbei verkaufte die CIA Waffen an den Iran, der daraus resultierende Gewinn ließ man den Contras zukommen. Die Geschäfte flogen dann Mitte der 80er Jahre auf, als die Presse davon Wind bekommen hat (Stichwort Iran Contra Affäre).
Im Anschluss an diesen Skandal verhängte die USA ein Handelsembargo über Nicaragua. Dies hatte die logische Konsequenz, dass auch die westlichen Verbündeten keinerlei Investitionen mehr innerhalb Nicaraguas tätigten.
Das letzte Mal groß in den Medien stand Nicaragua als Hurrikan Mitch 1998 große Teile des Landes verwüsteten und über 10.000 Menschen bei der Katastrophe ums Leben kamen.
Das wohl wichtigste Ereignis des Landes war im Januar 2004, als die Weltbank beschloss, gut drei Viertel der Staatsschulden zu streichen, um Nicaragua einen wirtschaftlichen Neubeginn zu ermöglichen. Kurz darauf haben die Russen weitere gut 5 Prozent der Staatsschulden erlassen. Seitdem fließen wieder Gelder ins Land die hauptsächlich in die Infrastruktur des Landes investiert werden. (z.B. 100 Mio. Dollar in einen Hafenausbau, 600
Mio. Dollar in eine Ost-West-Pipeline, die eine alternative zum Panamakanal darstellen soll (den Panamakanal kann die größte Öltankerklasse nicht passieren).

Dies ist zwar nicht besonders groß, allerdings konnte sich das Unternehmen das interessanteste Landstück heraussuchen, da Nicaragua nur wenige potentielle Investoren findet.
Im Lizenzgebiet, das Norwood Resources erforscht, treten sog. Oil-Seeps auf, Stellen, an denen das Öl durch die Gesteinsformationen an die Oberfläche dringt. Die Fa. von Rockefeller, The Standard Oil Trust, hat im Prinzip genauso angefangen wie jetzt Norwood Resources und in der Nähe der Oilseeps mit Bohrungen begonnen. Mit etwas Glück könnte sich die Geschichte wiederholen und Norwood Resources stößt auf ein nennenswertes Ölvorkommen, dass sich zu fördern lohnt.
Durch die erwähnte Pipeline in Teil 1, die in der Nähe des Explorationsgebietes vorbei führt, wäre eine Anbindung nicht so Kapitalintensiv, wie wenn noch überhaupt nichts erschlossen wäre.
Am 28.3. meldete das Unternehmen im Zusammenhang mit einer durchgeführten Kapitalerhöhung:
To date, the company has completed and submitted the required environmental study and has mapped over 75 miles of geological surface traverses over an area of interest which encompasses a number of oil contaminated water wells, a live oil seep, free gas to surface, large mapped structures, and significant reservoir quality rocks.
Offensichtlich gibt es vielversprechende Gesteinsformationen, Stellen an denen Gas an die Oberfläche blubbert und stellen, an denen Erdöl nach oben drückt und das Wasser verschmutzt.
Ich habe mir jüngst ein paar Anteilsscheine an der kanadischen Börse geordert. Die Aktie wird aber auch in Berlin gehandelt, die bisher jedoch kaum Umsätze verzeichnet.

nach der rallye erscheint dieser explorer (bei völliger ungewissheit über die größe der vorkommen) aber doch schon ambitioniert bewertet:

Nach einer starken Woche könnte man dann doch eher sagen "Arm werden wie eine Kirchenmaus..."
Kenne mich mit der Markttechnik nicht so aus. Nach sehr schwachem Start werden akuell unter hohen Umsätzen, wieder erste Aktien eingekauft. Der Kurs zog von 1,15 auf jetzt immerhin gut 1,3 C$ an. Mal schauen, ob`s ein Strohfeuer wird oder tatsächlich eine Erholung einsetzt.
Kenne mich mit der Markttechnik nicht so aus. Nach sehr schwachem Start werden akuell unter hohen Umsätzen, wieder erste Aktien eingekauft. Der Kurs zog von 1,15 auf jetzt immerhin gut 1,3 C$ an. Mal schauen, ob`s ein Strohfeuer wird oder tatsächlich eine Erholung einsetzt.

Hab die Hoffung, dass durch einen steigenden Ölpreis (während der Sommersaison) die Kurse noch weiter anziehen werden. Allerdings läuft am 25. Juli auch eine Haltfrist ab, die den Kurs drücken könnte.
Mal schauen wie es weitergeht. Bin jedenfalls zuversichtlich, dass die Spekulation auf lange Sicht eine Rendite für mich abwerfen wird.

VANCOUVER, May 24 /CNW/ - Norwood announces that the Company has received formal approval from the environmental division of the Nicaraguan government (MARENA) for the Environmental Impact Study (E.I.S.), which the Company completed for its Pacific onshore INDOKLANICSA Concession. The E.I.S. approval allows Norwood to continue with the next phases of exploration, which will include 2D seismic and drilling.
In other news, the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. James Charuk to the position of Executive Vice President of Exploration. Mr. Charuk has a science degree in Geology from Mount Allison University and more than 20 years experience in oil and gas exploration and production. Previously as Manager of Geoscience Services with Western Atlas International, he managed multi-disciplinary teams of geoscientists responsible for reservoir identification, evaluation and exploitation on behalf of Western`s customers worldwide. These included all major multi-nationals, national, and large through small independent oil companies on six continents. Prior to Western, Mr. Charuk had a key technical management position at Chevron USA where he was responsible for the implementation of their worldwide drilling technology center`s monitoring and control systems.
Reporting directly to Mr. Charuk in Nicaragua is Dr. Mauricio Darce Rivera who has been appointed as General Country Manager for Nicaragua. Dr. Darce joined Norwood after a distinguished career with INE (Instituto Nicaraguense de Energia) overseeing all of the geotechnical aspects of the country`s energy operations. Dr. Darce has also been an advisor and geological consultant to Swedish and Canadian mining companies, including Triton Mining of Canada.

bin auch mit im Boot. Halte die Aktie seit September und habe sie davor schon ein mehr als ein halbes Jahr auf der Watchlist. Die news gefallen mir, das nächste halbe Jahr wird auf jeden Fall interessant und die Entwicklung von Norwwod spannend.
Gibts eigentlich noch andere Ölförderer oder Explorer die dort Aktiv sind, bzw sind dort schon Felder erschlossen?

Summary Report of Third Quarter
Norwood Resources Ltd. (the "Company") has released its interim consolidated financial statements, prepared without audit, for the nine months ended September 30, 2005 and the Management`s Discussion and Analysis ("MD&A"). The following is a summary of the information contained in the interim consolidated financial statements and MD&A, both of which can be found on the Company`s website at www.norwoodresources.com.
At the end of the period, the Company had working capital of $35,809,043 of which $35,239,108 was held in cash and cash equivalents with $423,069 of that amount held as restricted cash. The Company`s net loss for the three-month period ended September 30, 2005 was $552,097 compared to a net loss of $233,121 for the three months ended September 30, 2004. General and administrative expenses for the period were $661,437 (2004 - $263,654) which represents a $397,783 increase over 2004. General and administrative expenses of note include directors` fees, investor relations, management and consulting and stock-based compensation expense. Management and Consulting fees of $107,509 (2004 - $122,115) represent a decrease of $14,606 over 2004.
At September 30, 2005 the Company held an oil & gas concession in Nicaragua. Exploration and development costs for the nine months ended September 30, 2005 totalled $1,290,554.
The Company is now working on its second phase of exploration which involves the completion of a concentrated 2D seismic survey. Acquisition of data for this survey is projected to begin in December or as soon as weather conditions in Nicaragua permit and is expected to take four to five months to complete. Shareholder Update
The Company has completed the first phase of exploration on the 845,000 acre Pacific Onshore concession located along the west coast of Nicaragua. Since obtaining approval for the Environmental Impact Study in May of this year, the company has conducted reconnaissance and detailed surface geological mapping over the entire concession. The surface mapping consists of over 500 kilometers of traverses and thousands of measurements and samples. In general, Norwood believes that the Sandino Basin margin within this concession contains several large structures capable of enclosing hydrocarbon reservoirs of commercial size.
A geochemical survey over the northern third of the concession was also completed. One thousand (1,000) soil gas samples were collected using shallow (6 foot) probes and gas chromatography. Geochemical Exploration Services of Plano, Texas conducted the analysis of samples. Results were examined for anomalous measurements of hydrocarbon elements and plotted on structure maps of the area.
Integration of all the data collected has led to the identification of several prospective structures. The company is now starting the second phase of exploration, which involves the completion of a concentrated 2D seismic survey and drilling over the more promising structures.
Initiating the second phase, the company has completed the design of a 2D seismic survey that concentrates 517 Km of seismic lines over the northern third of the concession. The company issued a tender for services to seven seismic acquisition services companies based upon the reconnaissance survey design. Grant Geophysical of Houston, Texas, was the successful bidder and has been chosen as Norwood`s seismic services partner. The cost of the survey will be up to a maximum of US $5.5 million dollars. The survey will commence in December and is expected to take three to four months to complete. Processing and interpretation will be conducted as the data is acquired in order to facilitate early stage selection of drill targets.

The identification of suitable drilling services is already underway. The drilling program will commence evaluation of the northern portion of the concession and is intended to continue through the summer of 2006.

An initial review of the preliminary processed seismic data indicates the subsurface presence of significant structuring, which could have the potential to host hydrocarbon reserves. Detailed mapping to identify structural closures and traps is being initiated.
The exploration program is now moving to the prospect identification and drilling phase. This includes more detailed geophysical processing and interpretation, the integration of the previously mapped surface geology, oil seeps information and geochemical survey results, culminating in the mapping of drill ready prospects for subsequent drilling. Based on a preliminary evaluation of the seismic data acquired, the Company believes that there is sufficient seismic coverage to support moving to the drilling phase.
Norwood continues to work with F.J. Brown and Associates, Inc. to identify available drilling equipment and services for tender. The selection of equipment will be determined by the locations and required drilling depths identified by the seismic interpretation process. Due to delays in the completion of the seismic program and timing constraints affecting the availability of drilling equipment and services, the commencement of a drilling program will need to be delayed beyond the previously anticipated second quarter 2006 start date.
It is the company's intention to move the program forward in an expeditious and technically sound fashion, paying particular attention to optimum exploration well locations and rig availability to ensure the best possible outcome during the drilling program. Norwood will advise its shareholders of the revised drilling timeframe once all of the data acquired has been interpreted and a rig contracted.

This mapping has yielded several significant structural closures within both the Masachapa and Brito formations and multiple drilling prospects between 700 M and 1800 M deep.
Reprocessing for detailed stratigraphic interpretation and velocity inversion of key lines has been contracted to N. S. Neidell & Associates of Houston, Texas and initial results are being integrated into the structural mapping for exact well location placement.
Further interpretation is proceeding to map identified structural and stratigraphic traps within the lower Brito and the Cretaceous Rivas formations.
Norwood has contracted F.J. Brown and Associates, Inc. of Houston, Texas who has begun well planning, location design, logistics planning and materials sourcing to accommodate a multi-well drilling program that will test the identified structures. On Norwood's behalf, they have also begun negotiations with drilling contractors with available equipment in the region, with the intention to begin this drilling program as soon as possible. Norwood will advise shareholders of drilling timeframes as the specific dates become available.

VANCOUVER, Sept. 12 /CNW/ - Norwood Resources is pleased to announce that the company's Nicaraguan subsidiary, Norwood Nicaragua SA, has entered into a one year drilling services contract with Multiservicios de Perforacion Geopetroleros S.A. (MPG), a division of Grupo de PITSA of Poza Rica, Mexico.
ADVERTISEMENT
The company plans to utilize MPG's Gardner Denver 1500 HP drilling rig No. 15 to drill locations on its 845,000 acres onshore concession on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. The contract encompasses a wide variety of other services and equipment that Norwood will utilize during this initial drilling campaign. The contract terms include a spud date for the first well no later than November 30th 2006, although it is in both parties best interests to begin as soon as possible.
Upon final inspection the rig will move from Mexico to the first of six locations. These locations have been designed to test separate structural closures within the Tertiary sediments of the upper and middle Brito formation. Norwood has identified many other potential targets within the Oligiocene Masachapa formation and in the deeper Cretaceous Rivas formation but has determined that the Brito offers the most cost effective opportunity for early discovery of a significant size.
Based on seismic data that Norwood acquired in the spring of 2006 and interpreted over the summer, the company has concluded that large areas of the survey contain inter-bedded turbidite sand sequences as thick as 1500 M in places. The thickest individual sand members (up to 100M) within the mapped structural closures formulate the first drill targets. The wells are designed to depths between 2200 and 2800 meters.
PITSA is a large Mexican oil field service company based in Poza Rica, which conducts drilling services in Mexico for Pemex. MPG currently has drilling services contracts in Guatemala as well. Pictures of the rig can be viewed at www.norwoodresources.com.

The company plans to utilize MPG's Gardner Denver 1500 HP drilling rig No. 15 to drill locations on its 845,000 acres onshore concession on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. The contract encompasses a wide variety of other services and equipment that Norwood will utilize during this initial drilling campaign. The contract terms include a spud date for the first well no later than November 30th 2006, although it is in both parties best interests to begin as soon as possible.
Upon final inspection the rig will move from Mexico to the first of six locations. These locations have been designed to test separate structural closures within the Tertiary sediments of the upper and middle Brito formation. Norwood has identified many other potential targets within the Oligiocene Masachapa formation and in the deeper Cretaceous Rivas formation but has determined that the Brito offers the most cost effective opportunity for early discovery of a significant size.
Based on seismic data that Norwood acquired in the spring of 2006 and interpreted over the summer, the company has concluded that large areas of the survey contain inter-bedded turbidite sand sequences as thick as 1500 M in places. The thickest individual sand members (up to 100M) within the mapped structural closures formulate the first drill targets. The wells are designed to depths between 2200 and 2800 meters.
PITSA is a large Mexican oil field service company based in Poza Rica, which conducts drilling services in Mexico for Pemex. MPG currently has drilling services contracts in Guatemala as well. Pictures of the rig can be viewed at www.norwoodresources.com.

Freue mich auch, dass man auf Ölvorkommen gestossen ist. Jetzt heisst es nur noch abwarten, ob der Abbau wirtschaftlich ist.

bin jetzt auch mit 60% im plus. Würde auch gerne noch mal Nachlegen, aber im Moment komme ich in Deutschland an keine Aktien ran. Habs bereits mehrmals über mein onlinebroker probiert, vielleicht war auch meine Stückzahl zu klein?!
