Ja, wir haben inzwischen den tiefsten Stand seit knapp 1,5 Jahren. Die 'grenzenlosen Optimisten', wie ich sie einmal genannt habe, melden sich auch nicht mehr zu Wort.

Die Technik unterstützt wohl den Gedanken. Plug steckt jetzt erstmal in einer Abwärtsbewegung. Allerdings fallen Kursbewegungen bei Plug öfters mal heftig aus. Technisch interessant wird die Aktie aber wohl erst deutlich über 4$, dann ist man über der 200Tage-Linie.

Looking forward, Plug Power's future doesn't look as clear as Ballard's. Within the past week, Ballard announced it had demonstrated the world's first fixed-rail electric tram using hydrogen fuel cells, with the event taking place in China's Shandong province. As Ballard CEO Randy MacEwen noted, "Clean urban transportation is a high priority in China, and this zero-emission prototype fuel cell tram is an important step in demonstrating one solution."

For Plug, it'll be important not just to keep highlighting sales of its GenKey fuel-cell solutions but also to keep innovating to find new uses for its fuel-cell technology. Otherwise, Plug Power runs the risk of becoming an also-ran in the fuel-cell industry and adding itself to the list of countless alternative-energy companies that have failed to reach their potential over the years. That outcome would inevitably make Plug Power regret having cut some of its closest ties with Ballard.
