Sevim, vielen Dank für Deine Stellungnahme.
Deine Argumente sind nachvollziebar. Ich würde es aber anders bewerten. Der Nachteil der größeren Konkurrenz ist in meinen Augen gravierend. Dazu kann man davon ausgehen, daß ein großer Teil der erhöhten Investitionen von der größeren Konkurrenz eingestrichen wird. HRCT würde bei einer Öffnung eher verlieren, sofern es da was zu verlieren gibt.
Phan selbst rettet sich ja nun in die Hoffnung, die komplette Umsetzung würde noch einige Jahre brauchen, in denen HRCT einen Vorsprung hätte.


Da die Resonanz bislang verdächtig dünn war und es einen guten Kontrast zur jüngsten 6fach geposteten Schwurbelnews bietet, hier nochmal mein letztes Posting u.a. mit der Hitliste der umwerfenden "Erfolge", die letzlich von solchen News übrig bleiben.

Mal eine Frage zum Beginn:
Kann mir mal jemand erklären warum in Paniks famosen Musterdepots die Daten der Käufe nicht aufgeführt werden???

Logo, Du schreibst wirklich hanbüchenen Unsinn. Ich komme immer mehr zur Überzeugung, daß Du die SEC-Filings wahrhaftig nicht gelesen hast. Oder schlicht nicht in der Lage bist sie zu begreifen.

Es ist nirgends ersichtlich welche Gewinne von Sinobull oder deren Beteiligungen gemacht werden. Abgesehen davon, daß die Beteiligungen nach wie vor fast ausnahmslos aus Absichterklärungen bestehen.
Bislang sind nur UAC und FTL unter Dach und Fach.

Wobei HRCT seine Beteiligungen an UAC und FTL gegen eine Anteile von Sinobull eintauschen möchte:
In November 1999, Sino Bull Group (`Group") was formed with the intention to consolidate various related businesses acquired or expected to be acquired by Hartcourt or Sino Bull.com Inc. ("Sino Bull"). For the purposes of presenting these businesses under a unified structure and strong brand name, a restructuring of the Group will result in consolidating these businesses under Sino Bull, the holding company of the Group that was incorporated in British Virgin Islands. The mission of the Group is to become the premier e-commerce network service provider (providing financial information and related technology services) to investors and financial institutions in Greater China. Hartcourt intends to transfer its ownership interests in UAC and FTL into Sino Bull during calendar year 2000 in exchange for certain equity interest in Sino Bull.

Sino Bull.Com Inc. ("Sino Bull"): - On May 1, 2000, Hartcourt and Sino Bull entered into an Exchange Agreement wherein Sino Bull agreed to accept ownership of interests Hartcourt has in certain related businesses in exchange for Sino Bull common stock. The terms of the Agreement required Sino Bull to exchange forty-eight (48%) percent of its common stock for all of Hartcourt`s ownership interests in FTL (58.53%) and UAC (50%). The Agreement required Sino Bull to form an eleven (11) member Board of Directors group with Hartcourt to appoint six (6) members and Sino Bull to appoint five (5) members. The transaction closed on May 1, 2000 and the parties have mutually agreed to make it effective upon finalizing the structure of operations of Sino Bull under the laws of China and Hong Kong by the end of November 2000. Upon completion of this restructuring, Sino Bull will become an investment holding company and Hartcourt will retain 48% ownership interest in Sino Bull.

Auch der Streaming Asia Deal, der als IPO das Geld in die Kasse bringen soll ist noch gar nicht umgesetzt. Siehe weiter unten.

Es ist nirgends ersichtlich, daß die Swartz-Optuion auf US$ 65 Mill. aufgestockt wurde. Im Quartalsbericht vom 29.11. ist nur von US$ 35 Mill. die Rede, die auch noch bei der SEC beantragt werden müssen wie mir auch Swartz selbst vor einem knappen Jahr bestätigt hat.
Das entsprechende Filing ist am 24.08.2000 bei der SEC endlich eingereicht worden.Die Genehmigung ist noch nicht erteilt, wie weiter unten ersichtlich.
Seltsamerweise ist dies Filing nicht über die HRCT-Seite ersichtlich ist, sondern hier:

Wenn man es liest, kann man sich auch denken warum. HRCT war gezwungen alle tatsächlichen und potentiellen Geschäftsrisiken aufzuführen. Gruselige Lektüre.
Sei jedem mal zum Lesen empfohlen.

Logo, HRCT kann die Swartz-Option eben nicht jederzeit wahrnehmen. HRCT kann Swartz höchstens Anteile anbieten. Ob Swartz diese dann zu 91 % des Marktpreises auch wirklich kauft ist eine ganz andere Geschichte. Swartz hat 24 Monate Zeit, die Obligationen einzulösen. Die Shares werden sie sicher noch billiger bekommen im Lauf der Zeit.

Swartz Private Equity, LLC ("Swartz") - Swartz is an investment entity focused on equity investments in Internet and other high technology companies. On November 3, 1999, Hartcourt signed an Investment Agreement with Swartz. Swartz agreed to purchase from Hartcourt, from time to time, shares of Hartcourt`s common stock, as part of an offering of common stock by Hartcourt to Swartz, for a maximum aggregate offering amount of $25,000,000. These fundings will be used to satisfy Hartcourt`s working capital requirements for the year 2000 and complete acquisitions of Internet related operations. On January 5, 2000, Hartcourt and Swartz agreed to increase the equity line funding to $35,000,000 due to the planned acquisitions of Internet operations in China. Hartcourt has filed a form SB-2 Registration document with SEC on August 24, 2000 to register additional common shares for issuance to Swartz. Once approved by SEC, Swartz has the obligation to purchase these shares at the market price less 10 percent discount during the next 24 months.

Man liest über einige Interessante Klagen die gegen HRCT laufen.
Man liest nichts über Gewinne irgendwelcher Beteiligungen.


Logo, welche Mergerpartner sind denn namentlich bekannt. Laß mal hören und rede Dich nicht wieder damit heraus, dies wäre schon ausführlichst diskutiert worden.
Im Filing sind einige potentielle Investoren namentlich erwähnt, nicht aber Fusionspartner.

Genauso könntest Du endlich mal einen Kommentar zu Deiner Behauptung abgeben, Chinas WTO-Beitritt wäre gut für HRCT. Darauf warte ich schon seit Wochen.
Eine Erläuterung dieser Behauptung wäre Deiner Glaubwürdigkeit sicher nicht abträglich.

These factors, F-26 as well as negative cash flows from operations, Hartcourt`s inability to meet debt obligations and the need to raise additional funds to accomplish its objectives, create substantial doubt about Hartcourt`s ability to continue as a going concern.

Hartcourt has taken certain restructuring steps, which in the management`s opinion will provide the necessary capital to continue its operations. These steps included: 1) the settlement of certain matters of litigation and disputes; 2) exchange of its interests in Peony Gardens for investment securities which were subsequently exchanged for the investment in GoCall Inc.; 3) completed a private placement with PYR Management, LLC and received $2,743,000 on January 27, 2000; 4) signed a Investment Agreement with Swartz Private Equity, LLC, which agreed to purchase from time to time, up to $35,000,000 Hartcourt shares of common stock. No terms have been reached, and a definitive agreement to form a joint venture company is currently being delayed pending the implementation of the WTO (World Trade Organization) agreement.

Dies vor allem für die unsäglichen Schwätzer die permanent beschwören wie viel HRCT in nur einem Jahr geschafft hat, weshalb der Kursverfall auschließlich auf das Umfeld zurückzuführen sei.
Geschafft hat HRCT in einem Jahr tatsächlich annähernd nichts, abgesehen vom Produzieren irreführender Pressemitteilungen.

Sollte der Kurssverfall wirklich nur das Umfeld reflektieren ist m.E. noch eine Menge Platz nach unten. Die nicht umgesetzten Ankündigungen müssen dann schließlich noch im negativen Sinne eingepreist werden.
Dann ist ultimatos Kursziel von 0,50US$ sicher noch optimistisch.

Studie: Zahl der asiatischen Internet-User bis 2004 vervierfacht

Bis zum Ende des Jahres 2004 soll sich die Zahl der Internet-Nutzer im
asiatisch-pazifischen Raum auf 188 Millionen vervierfachen. Das geht aus einer gestern
veröffentlichten Studie des Forschungsunternehmens Dataquest hervor. Gründe für
den Anstieg seien vor allem die sinkenden Zugangskosten, eine verbesserte
Infrastruktur und die steigende Zahl von Websites mit lokalem Content in asiatischen
Sprachen.

Internet-Service-Provider in der Region wie Pacific Internet oder Nifty zählen auf einen
Anstieg der Nutzerzahlen, um ihre Einnahmen zu steigern. In Japan, dem größten
Markt in Asien, wird die Zahl der User von 17,4 Millionen Ende 1999 auf 64,5 Millionen
im Jahr 2004 steigen. Die durchschnittlichen Zugangskosten sind in Japan um etwa 23
Prozent, auf 24 Dollar pro Monat, gesunken. In China werden 51 Millionen, in Indien 10
Millionen Menschen bis 2004 über einen Netz-Zugang verfügen. In Indonesien wird der
Boom nach Ansicht von Dataquest aufgrund der schlechten
Telekommunikations-Infrastruktur nicht stattfinden. Dort werden nur 5,1 Millionen von

Ich finde die allgemeine (nicht nur HRCT) Situation im Moment
sehr anstrengend, denn man denkt, daß es nach gesundem Menschenverstand
nicht mehr viel weiter nach unten gehen kann und wird jeden Tag eines besseren belehrt.
Früher hieß es doch: Wenn alle pessimistisch sind, geht es bald wieder aufwärts.
Also pessimistischer als in den letzten Wochen geht doch kaum, aber aufwärts gehts trotzdem
nicht...

@1077-11: Du kannst ja richtig nett sein. Ich nehme deine Glückwünsche auch gerne entgegen und hoffe, daß wir in Zukunft vernünftig miteinander umgehen werden.

Zu Hartcourt: Die EIN-€-Grenze scheint sich einigermaßen stabil zu halten. Es scheint sich ein gewisser Boden zu finden. Ich schätze, daß man darauf langsam aufbauen kann. Wenn sich dieser Kurs bis nächste Woche hält, könnte man sich wieder verbilligen indem man neu dazukauft. So langsam muß auch die Information kommen, mit wem Hartcourt in Sachen Finanzprüfung zusammen arbeiten möchte. Daran kann man hoffentlich dann erkennen, ob Hartcourt sich verbessern kann. Als klares Manko erkenne ich, daß die Bilanzzahlen der chinesischen Beteiligungen nicht transparent genug sind und ich gerne mehr darüber wüßte. Mich hat eine Tatsache nämlich ein wenig aufgeschreckt.
Ihr wißt sicherlich noch, daß ich von der Cashon-line-Ipo berichtet hatte an der GEM in HongKong. Der erste Kurs lag zweieinhalbfach über dem Einführungssharepreis um dann schließlich in Bodenlose zu fallen.
" CASH On-line Limited, debut by introduction on the GEM today, opened at $0.50, up 2.6 times from the net asset value. " Das Hoch lag bei 0.55 HongKong$ und fiel bis heute auf 0.158 HongKong$. Es wurden 2,015200000 Aktien ausgeschüttet, die eine Marktkapitalisierung von 318 Millionen HongKong$ ( 45.481.067,33 €) momentan bringen.(laut finet.com.hk).
Das heißt, daß die IPO von SA mindestens das vierfache Volumen haben muß, wenn wir annähernd die 100 Mio.$ Grenze erreichen wollen. Und wenn keine positiven Bilanzen vorliegen, besteht ebenfalls die Gefahr des rasanten Absturzes. Deshalb würde ich gerne die Zahlen konkret schon vorher sehen. Bei Cashon-line haben die 2 Tage vor der IPO schlechte Zahlen vorgelegt (welcher Irrsinn) womit sie sich selber ins Knie gef... haben. Analysten von Quamnet haben nicht empfohlen, diese Aktien zu zeichnen. Und die Folge war, daß die eingefleischten chinesischen Zocker sofort ihren Zeichnungsgewinn versilbert haben.
Fazit: Wenn wie öfters hier gepostet SA wirklich schon Gewinne schreibt, sehe ich keine gravierenden Gefahren für die IPO. Wenn nicht, dann sehe ich die Versprechen von Phan als nicht einhaltbar ein.
Ich bin normalerweise eingefleischter Hartcourtfan, wie viele wissen, aber dennoch wollte ich meine Erfahrung mit Cashon-line hier einbringen, weil man ja auch auf die Gefahren und Risiken in diesem Bereich hinweisen muß.

As a result of being open to the rest of the world, the competition will become even more intense.

Chinese businesses should quickly access to advanced technology, lower production costs, and improve their productivity to meet the challenge.

The Nobel Prize laureate hailed China`s stable monetary policy as saying that a fluctuating exchange rate, which will have strong impact on overseas investment, is harmful to the economic development.

He believed that China will become more influential through its economic modernization. It took China only two decades to become a major component of global trade and finance.

Mundell, a renowned expert on monetary theory, said that the launch of the Euro altered the international monetary system as well as macro-economic policies.

He suggested that in the future China should unite with other Asian countries to have a bigger say in the world`s monetary system and to upgrade the regional economic power rapidly.

Mundell is known as "the father of Euro" for he has been promoting a unified currency in Europe over the past 30 years.

Hallo Ihr Unverzagten HRCT`ler !
In den vergangenen Wochen gab es immer wieder Meldungen über Kooperationen, die ich eigentlich als - zumindest mittel- bis langfristig - als ausgesprochen positiv einschätze.
Der Kurs reagiert allerdings immer nur nach Süden, und das auch noch bei relativ hohen Umsätzen in Dtl.
Ist das die allgemeine Marktlage, die heute auch bspw. CMRC od. JDSU um schlappe 30 bzw. 20 % ins Minus treiben.
Ich habe für mich jedenfalls entschieden, meinen Bestand (Durchschnittskaufpreis 3,50 Euro; in 1999 u. 2000 mit obersatten realisierten Gewinnen getradet) kräftig aufzustocken. Die letzte Position habe ich eben für 0,76 Euro gekauft. Bei einem "normalen" Markt u. einer wiedererwachenden "Chinaeuphorie" erwarte ich schon 5 Euro.
Mir stellt sich einfach die Frage: gehört HRCT schon zur "ersten Garde" der China-Werte - mit entsprechenden Steigerungsmöglichkeiten ? Wie schätzt Ihr die Lage ein ?

mir kommt es in diesen Tagen vor, als wäre das Internet absolut tot und alle Internetwerte pleite.

Das kann einfach nicht sein. Ich bin davon überzeugt, daß ein paar Inets langfristig großen Erfolg haben werden, aber ob Hartcourt dabei sein wird, bleibt abzuwarten.

Die Aussichten im Wachstumsmarkt China sehen ja recht gut aus, aber mal ganz ehrlich: In China kann genauso gut erst in 5-10 Jahren die Post abgehen und nicht schon in den nächsten Monaten.

Von daher ist es mir zu riskant, in Hartcourt zu investieren, zumindest im momentanen Bärenmarkt. Da sind noch ganz andere Kurse jenseits der 75 cents möglich.

Ich war schon am überlegen, ob ich mit meinem früheren Einsatzkurs von splitbereinigt um die 65 cents wieder reingehen sollte (damals in 1999), aber da habe ich doch im Moment zu viel Angst vor.

Es könnte weitaus dicker kommen.

wir sind noch da und glotzen wie blöde auf den Kurs, der nun in Frankfurt bei 0.65 € gelandet ist. Die news wirken sich leider bei Hartcourt immer negativ aus. Kaum hatte ich gestern von einer Bodenbildung um die 1€ gesprochen, schon ist der Kurs gesunken. Ich glaube, daß ich daran schuld bin. Deshalb werde ich mich selber bestrafen und alle Shares aufkaufen, die ihr mir anbietet. Und seid nicht so geizig. Schmeißt alles raus. Ich werde solange kaufen, bis ich 1 Prozent aller Aktien besitze. Habe genau 1 Mio.DM zur Verfügung. Habe nämlich bei 18 € schon mal verkauft und meine Gewinne solange versteckt, bis der Kurs wieder den Vorjahresstand erreicht hatte. Also her mit euren Shares.


P.S.: Schön wär es ja gewesen.

Es stimmt. Hartcourt verkaufen laufend die Eigentümer, und das sind nicht so viele wie die Käufer.
Wenn ich eine Tankstelle hätte, die 10 Mio. Umsatz und einen Haufen Verluste macht, würde ich die auch gerne für das 20fache des Umsatzes verkaufen.
Sind dann immerhin 200 Mio für ne Tankstelle die pleite machen wird.
Mit HRCT ist es nichts anders.

0,62$ in den Staaten. Rien ne va plus. Mein Anlagehorizont habe ich gerade auf 2010 erweitert. In meinen Augen & für mein Depot habe ich die ganze Scheisse schon als Totalverlust abgeschrieben. Meine Nerven. Was kommt als nächstes? Der Vorstand setzt sich bestimmt bald nach Paraguay ab, die liefern nicht aus. Es ist einfach zum heulen. Als "long" seit Monaten ist die jetztige Situation einfach schlecht. Hohes Volumen & der Kurs schiert immmer tiefer ab. Das Marktumfeld ist mit Sicherheit schlecht, das will ja keiner bestreiten. Aber einigermaßen gute Papiere verlieren nicht in einem Jahr über 90%. Meine Freundin hatte mich doch recht nachdenklich gemacht. Hab ich mich wirklich blenden lassen? Bin ich blind der Euphorie gefolgt? Zum Glück bin ich nicht auf high eingestiegen sondern deutlich drunter (bei 5$ nach Split -> sagts keinem weiter). Die Kohle interessiert mich nicht so, jedoch musste ich mir gestern die Frage gefallen lassen, ob ich nicht zu naiv an die Sache herangegangen bin. Gedanken zur Weihnachtszeit. Fragen, die durch meinen Kopf gehen.

Zulassungsvoraussetzungen : Praktisch null.
Firma kann innerhalb von zwei Wochen in jedem amerikanischen Bundesland gegründet und an den OTC Markt gebracht werden.
Laut Financial Times ein Tummelplatz, auf dem jedes Jahr ein Multi-Milliarden Dollar Betrug stattfindet.

Mit sicherheit haben nicht alle welltweit gehandelte Aktien 90%verloren-aber davon ist nicht die Rede.
Du sollst eventuel deine Gedanken nur auf Higtech bzw Nasdaq
beschränken-das ist nämlich mehr als Vergleich zu HRCT geeignet,weil das der gleiche Branchensektor ist.

Einige sehen die Situation viel zu negativ.

Gibt es bessere Anlagen als Hartcourt?

Letztes Jahr Weihnachten hat meine Freundin einen Ring
von mir bekommen. Wahr nicht ganz billig.
Totalverlust: Freundin weg, Ring weg
In diesem Jahr kauf ich mir einfach 2000 HRCT Aktien .
Kann im schlimmsten Fall ein Totalverlust werden.

Meine Order steht mit 0,55 in Frankfurt.

Ihr solltet dass alles mit etwas mehr Humor sehen.
Es gibt noch viel wichtigere Dinge als Geld und Aktien.

In diesem Sinne wünsche ich allen, ob Basher oder Long,
Gesundheit und ein frohes Weihnachtsfest.

Vielleicht erst einmal etwas zur Strategie .
Ich bin von meinen Investments überzeugt .
Dazu gehört Hartcourt .
Mit meinem Depot ( seid Jahresanfang 76% Minus )
Habe sämtliche Highfligher der letzten Jahre in meinem Depot.Das einzige was mich ärgert ist , das ich in der Euphorie Aktien auf Kredit gekauft habe . Nun ist mein Wertpapierkredit aufgebraucht . Ich bekomme alle 2 Wochen ein Schreiben dieses auszugleichen .Zum Glück habe ich Reserven .
Aber um zum Punkt zu kommen , ich bin schon lange dabei aber ein solches Szenario habe ich noch nicht mitgemacht .
Aber von früher weiss ich , das Panikverkäufe die Sache nicht retten . Ich disponiere in dieser Zeit um , aber schmeisse meine Strategie nicht ohne fundamentale Gründe
über Bord ." The Trend is your Friend ".
Die Börsenweisheit sagt , das alle die verkaufen wollen nur dann verkaufen können wenn es ein Käufer gibt .
Also gibt es welche mit Hoffnung .
Und Diese sind von der Sache überzeugt . Auch von Hartcourt .
Also ich habe Investments getätigt , die der Maßen abegangen sind die ich gleich mit viel Gewinn abegestossen habe aber dennoch von der Strategie voll überzeugt war .
Dies habe ich bei Hartcourt auch getan .
Aber nur zum Teil .Ich habe mein Investment mit Gewinn realisiert . Nicht zum Höchstkurs . Leider !
Aber ich muss sagen ,daß der nicht reaisierte Gewinn weit aus höher ist ,als der realisierte .Um das vielfache .
Und um überhaupt auf den Punkt zu kommen .
Hier in diesem Board wird Euch keiner die Erleuchtung geben .Ihr seid für Eure Investments verantwortlich .
Oder aus der Werbung " Wenn Dein Anlageberater so gut ist
(busher),warum muß er dann noch arbeiten (Posten).

Soll heissen verfolgt einer diesen Thread und ist interressiert , sollte er nur auf fundamentale Beiträge
reagieren und nicht auf Leute die sich erfreuen andere leiden zu sehen .
Und ich kannn Euch aus Erfahrung versprechen , treten die Prognosen von Hartcoart ein , Werdet ihr lange Zeit von gewissen Leuten nichts hören .
Bis ihre Zeit vermeintlich wieder gekommen ist .
Aber das wird nächtes Jahr nicht sein .

Weiß gar nicht, was Ihr Euch für Sorgen macht. Wie ich aus einer gewöhnlich gut unterrichteten Quelle weiß, ist dieser Kursrutsch eine neue Strategie des genialen Docs. Da es ihm zu teuer wurde, permanent Splits durchzuführen, um auf Hongkong-Kurse zu kommen, wurde der Weg des sanften Kursverfalls eingeschlagen - bei 0,01-0,10$ ist das Ziel erreicht, dann soll wohl Schluß sein. Außerdem meint der Doc, mit dieser Strategie auch die wohlgesonnen von den mißratenen Aktionären scheiden zu können. Glaubt also nur nicht, daß Ihr unbeobachtet seid bei Euren Verkäufen, der Doc merkt sich die Namen der Verkäufer genau und läßt diese nie wieder mit seinen Aktien spielen.
Da mittlerweile auch CMGI, YHOO und viele andere die Vorzüge eines Hongkong-Listings erkannt haben, ist es leider zu diesem allgemeinen Debakel gekommen - hätten sich halt besser absprechen sollen mit der Weltfirma HRCT.
Sobald ich Neues aus der Strategieabteilung erfahre, werde ich Euch natürlich umgehend informieren.

Das interessante an dieser Situation ist, dass sich die Untergangspropheten versammeln und munter weitertrommeln, selbst wenn keiner mehr zuhoert. Als ich vorschlug, den HRCT-Kurs nochmals um 100% einbrechen zu lassen, um die Herren Basher zu vertreiben, konnte ich natuerlich nicht vorraussehen dass sich tatsaechlich einer hier im Board als Basher outet, seinen Wieder-Einstieg bekanntgibt, und prompt von einem Kursrutsch erfasst wird. Weiden sich die Longs an dem Fehltritt? Nein.

Es ist wie mit dem Tal der Baisse - bevor nicht der letzte entnervt verkauft ist das Tal nicht erreicht. Die steigende Zahl der Leute die es schon immer gewusst haben dass HRCT schlecht ist, steigt beeindruckend.

Die Positionierung der HRCT-Beteiligungen ist top, die Aussichten auch. Mancher Long hat einfach keine Lust mehr, dem Kindergarten die Grundlagen zu erklaeren, wenn diese immer wieder den Grund *der Kurs faellt* anfuehren, wenn es um die Qualitaeten HRCTs geht - Emotionen sind ein schlechter Ratgeber - und wer hier auf emotional macht, der ist entweder ein Basher, der sich dessen bewusst ist, oder sollte schleunigst anfangen, mit dem Verstand zu investieren. Aktuell wird HRCT aus vielschichtigen Gruenden verkauft, die aber alle nur als *der Kurs faellt, also muss HRCT schlecht sein* in emotionaler Weise aufgenommen wird. Wuerden die Longs in grossem Stil verkaufen, so wuerde es 10.000er Bloecke hageln - wer wissen will wer da verkauft moege sich bitte level2 Kurse besorgen - und wird sehen, wer da tatsaechlich *spielt*. Die Einstandskurse der 99er Longs
sind nicht erreicht, diejenigen die spaeter eingestiegen sind haben Lehrgeld gezahlt, und lassen hier Luft ab - moegen sie es tun, die Longs ergoetzen sich zumindest nicht daran, im Gegensatz zu manchem Basher.

Warum bloss der Euro steigt? Das werden doch wohl keine Umschichtungen US->EU und US->Asien sein?

Weiterhin werden hier weiterhin heftigst Maerchen erzaehlt, zB dass der OTC ganz ganz gefaehrlich waere. Natuerlich gibt es das Risiko des Totalverlustes. Andererseits ist HRCT kein Zocker wert, sondern ist nun seit Jahren *full reporting* - dazu ist ein OTC-BB-Wert nicht mal verpflichtet. Wer den Unterschied zwischen Nasdaq und Nasdaq OTC nicht kennt ist wohl besser mit Dow Jones Werten beraten, und wer den Unterschied zwischen Nasdaq OTC fully reporting und Pinksheets nicht kennt, sollte sich auch nach anderen Papieren umsehen. Natuerlich bieten diejenigen, die uninformiert sind, eine schoene Angriffsflaeche. Immerhin hat mancher Anleger hier angefangen, die HRCT Sec Filings zu lesen und zu zitieren - das ist schonmal ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung.

Die Deutung *die Longs posten nicht mehr weil sie ausgestiegen sind* sind Unsinn. Eher schon aufgrunddessesn, dass es Interessanteres gibt, als sich mit Nonsens-Argumenten auseinanderzusetzen.

Natuerlich wird HRCT im Moment auf vermeintlich bereits erreichtes zusammengestrichen, wie viele andere Firmen auch, und nicht auf Positionierung und Potential. Da laesst sich natuerlich trefflich argumentieren, dass nur das bisher Erreichte zaehlt, oder?

Nur mal ein Beispiel, HRCT hat eine Vorausszahlung in eMPACT geleistet, ist aber nicht voll eingestiegen. Das scheint hier jeder unter *HRCT hat den Deal nicht vollendet* abzuhaken. Gruende koennen sein a) eMPACT ist stark gewachsten b) HRCT sucht einen billigen Einstiegszeitpunkt
c) HRCT steigt erst dann vollstaendig ein, wenn die chinesische Beteiligung, aufgrundessen eMPACT erworben wird, in der Richtigen Starposition ist, um von einer Kooperation mit eMPACT zu profitieren. Oh, hoere ich da wieder jemanden *Spekulation! Spekulation!* rufen? Woher kommt bloss das E-Commerce Network von UAC? Was war eMPACT noch? Ach ja, ein Spezialist mit E-Commerce Knownhow, dass er mit UAC teilt, und wofuer eMPACT Expansionsmoeglichkeiten im chinesischen Markt geboten werden. Sobald HRCT diese Allianz etabliert sieht, ist auch ein weiteres Investment sinnvoll, da sich die eMPACT-Kooperation mit dem Zugang auf dem chinesischen Markt dann positiv auswirkt. Es ist natuerlich einfacher, etliche Beteiligungen als *nicht erfolgreich* oder *jetzt schnell aussteigen* zu beurteilen, als Zusammenhaenge wahrzuhnehmen, die einem nicht auf die Nase gebunden werden.
Aehnlich verhaelt es sich mit anderen Beteiligungen. Vielleicht sind die erfahrenen Investoren bei HRCT ja so smart und geben Firmen wie UAC billige Kredite, anstatt sich
schon vor der Zeit voll in eMPACT einzukaufen. Sieht man sich den Kurs eines Mergerpartners mal an, war es garnicht so dumm, lieber nach anderen Loesungen zu suchen, usw - mancher moege die Weihnachtstage dazu nutzen und anstatt emotional auf entgangene Kurzzeitgewinne zu reagieren, mal sein Investment durchdenken.

Viele haben in den letzten Monaten eine Menge Geld verloren, mich eingeschlossen, obwohl ich anfang März short ging - hab es aber nicht bis mitte März, als es anfing, durchgezogen.

Traurig ist nur, dass ich im Urlaub vor zwei Jahren das Buch "Geld verdienen in Hausse und Baisse" gelesen habe, und als ich das Buch mir neulich wieder vornahm, fand ich schön gegliedert die Punkte, die auf eine Baisse hinweisen. Nun gut.

Jetzt kann es ja kaum mehr schlimmer kommen. Meinen Brüdern habe ich angeboten, Ihre Anteile zu kaufen. Bislang lehnen sie das noch hartnäckig ab. Ich werde mir Hrct noch eine Weile anschauen und dann wirklich entscheiden, wie es weitergehen soll. Vielleicht muss ich wirklich mein Depot ausmisten und solche Werte wie Hyal usw. rauswerfen. Bislang haben mir diese Geheimtipps nichts als Minus eingebracht.

Könnte aber sein, dass Anfang nächsten Jahres nocheinmal ein Schub kommt. Nur bin ich nicht sicher, ob Hartcourt überhaupt noch genug Kohle hat, um seine anvisierten Käufe tätigen zu können. Mal sehen!

hallo leute, bin bald ein jahr in 900009 investiert und möchte - trotz des misserablen Kursverlaufs - all den Leuten danken die immmer noch positive stimmung verbreiten und an ein Unternehmen wie die 900009 glauben. Ich glaube auch, daß da noch ein gewaltiger Hype für uns kommt!! Wenn man in den Medien liest oder Radio hört, kommt die Sprache immer öfter auf China und die Möglichkeiten da!!
Ich denke die Geduld und das Begehen dieses momentan sehr dornigen Weges sollte sich auszahlen, zumal unsere Basher jetzt auch endlich mal die Klappe halten!!

management teams. He then introduced Stephen Tang of Financial Telecom. Some
shareholders have met Stephen in Las Vegas when he joined us for the Shareholder¡¯s
meeting. Stephen had a very professional presentation with visual aids from a laptop. We
were each given a stack of information prior to being seated in the meeting room. One of the
documents was a
Let me first relay the events of the day. We began the morning¡¯s presentation at about 9:30
AM. Dr Phan opened the program with some general remarks printed version of the visual
presentation that was accompanying the program. This made it easy for us to follow and jot
down questions to pose later in each segment. Later, after the meeting we were escorted on
a tour of each of the three Hong Kong companies. I will combine the tour with the
presentation to review the information for each Company.

Financial Telecom

As with every company events at Financial Telecom are moving at a rapid pace. New
products are being rolled out and newer products are being developed. As many already
know Financial Telecom was established in 1983. They are an information provider and
facilitate the gathering of content to be distributed from many sources. They are the primary
data vendor of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Futures Exchange.
Most of this data is not being presented in real time. We are all accustomed to a 15 to 20
minute delay, but in Hong Kong the delayed information is available after ONE HOUR! The
game now is to provide real realtime data to any device the customer wants to utilize to
receive it. This includes a new handheld PDA which is wireless. This is a new product that
was launched in Sept 2000. We saw the device while visiting the offices. A note, the offices
are quite impressive. They occupy space in The Center a striking high rise built by Li
Kai-shing. The architecture is breathtaking. Also joining Stephen in the tour was Alex Pang of
Financial Telecom who was kind enough to aid us in many ways during our visits. I enjoyed
meeting Alex and he also joined us for dinner last night. He escorted us to a wonderful
Chinese restaurant where we were treated to more dishes than I can remember. We also
met Regina at both the presentation and at the offices and Roa provided us with information
at the offices and demonstrations of the various products offer by FTL. One offering that is
currently in a soft launch phase is a product called Fintel Online Quote service. Remember
online trading is just now coming to the Hong Kong marketplace. This new service will
provide realtime information including quotes on stocks, futures, market indices and metals. It
also incorporates TradeStation analytical tools for trading strategies. Da! Here is your answer
for the Hong Kong daytraders. But again remember that online trading is not at all common
here¡­¡­.yet. There are other programs for individual traders and information packaged for
institutions as well. This can include terminals and the data feeds to them. The new PDA is
marketed under the SinoBull name. This is an area where FTL believes there will be
explosive growth and this is also true of the internet information currently in soft launch.
These two areas will provide significant growth in Hong Kong. Then there is the mainland.
FTL will also provide content for the SinoBull CCN Financial TV. There is more to convey, but
I think you get the picture. This information will be available for whatever wireless standard
should emerge. FTL is currently estimated to be #4 in this area in Hong Kong. They project a
move up to #2 with the distribution of the SinoBull wireless PDA tha was just launched in
Sept.

STREAMING ASIA

First let me deal with the IPO. EastWind just posted an excellent recap and I can not see
where anything has changed on the SA information. Underwriting is not the same here as in
the US but they are differences in how the process unfolds. If I can remember I will post more
on this later. I do not know when the quiet period began, nor do I know when it will end. It
would be related to the approval by the SFC (the SEC of Hong Kong) . I do not believe this is
a fixed time frame. All appears to be going as planned. Dr Phan did indicate that he will
receive a letter from the Tax Attorney very soon that will address all the tax issues. In order
for this to be a dividend I think the tax implications must not have any impact on either the
shareholders or the company. We will know the resolution of this very soon. The IPO is on
track and it would not hurt for the markets to improve both here and in the US. As to the
Yahoo! Question¡­.. in our handout there are four pages of clients who have employed
Streaming Asia. This would include the other two components of LogicSpace and
SyndicateAsia. I have no special knowledge of these services or how Yahoo! employed them.
The list is very impressive and includes many well known names. While in there offices I saw
the preparation of product for Mercedes Benz and a Streaming video for the largest
commercial radio station in Hong Kong¡¯s website. Indeed educational information (courses
and employee training seminars) will be a large part of the future of Streaming Asia. Alan
Chow, the CEO of Streaming Asia presented in our morning meeting. Patrick Kwan, one of
the Founders, also joined the meeting during the presentation and both were helpful in our
visit to there offices. SA has over 40 employees and many were working when we visited the
offices. I could speak about SA for a long, long time and not do it service. Growth is
happening rapidly and the plans for the post IPO company are grand. As more bandwidth
becomes available the streaming video portion becomes more exciting.

Guys and gals¡­.. I have just hit the wall. It is 10 PM here and the flight and the last two days
are catching up on me. I will try to update more as time allows. Tomorrow is a packed day
with the city of Hong Kong on the agenda followed by the New Years celebration in the
evening and night. The next morning we are out of the hotel at 6:30 AM to move on to
Shanghai. I need to wind down for tonight.

02Jan2001 SCHWEIZ: WTO-Beitritt hatKatalysatorwirkung.
Bankenreform n Exporte und der inländische Konsum haben der chinesischen Wirtschaft geholfen, das Wachstum auf 8,2% im dritten Quartal 2000 zu erhöhen. Dieses Wirtschaftswachstum ist wichtig im Zusammenhang mit den Vorbereitungen zum Beitritt Chinas zur Welthandelsorganisation (WTO).
Der WTO-Beitritt wird nicht nur den Handel und die inländischen Investitionen erhöhen, sondern die einheimische Ökonomie zu mehr Disziplin zwingen, was die chinesische Regierung allein nicht realisieren könnte. Noch wichtiger ist aber, dass die globale Wettbewerbsfähigkeit vom chinesischen Bankensystem ein schärferes und strengeres Credit Assessment verlangen wird. Der chinesische Bankensektor wird von zweifelhaften Forderungen belastet, welche durch jahrezehntelange «soft budget»-Politik verursacht wurde. Die staatlichen Banken dienen als Arme der Staatsbürokratie, welche das Geld ihrer Einleger zinslos in die verschuldeten Staatsbetriebe hineinpumpt. Es wird angenommen, dass etwa 80% aller Bankkredite an schwerfällige Staatsbetriebe vergeben wurden, um Kosten und Verluste zu decken. Die freizügigen Überweisungen von Finanzsubventionen setzen das ganze Finanzsystem in Gefahr, weil ein grosser Teil nie zurückbezahlt werden wird. Ausserdem wird der kleine, aber energische Privatsektor aus dem Kapitalmarkt verdrängt.
Wenn die Kosten und Auslagen automatisch vom Staat gedeckt werden, fehlt den Managern der Anreiz, die Staatsbetriebe in die Gewinnzone zu bringen. Überinvestition und Überkapazität sind normale Phänomene. Gefälschte und verschleierte Bilanzen zum Zweck der Steuerhinterziehung sind keine seltene Praxis. Noch problematischer ist aber die Vorsorge, die «cradle to grave»-Sozialleistungen, für den Schutz der Angestellten. Alle Staatsangestellten geniessen ein «all-in package» aus Wohnung, ärztlichen Behandlungen, Ausbildung, Pensionsvorsorge und anderen sozialen Unterstützungen, welche weit über ihren Löhnen liegen. Schätzungen haben gezeigt, dass mehr als ein Drittel der Personalkosten auf solche sozialen Pakete zurückzuführen ist. Die Finanzierung dieser Wohlfahrtskosten gewähren die Staatsbanken durch immer höhere Verschuldung. Auch in einer Wirtschaft mit einem jährlichen Wachstum von 9,5%, unterstützt durch ein erfolgreiches Geburtenkontrollprogramm, ist die unausweichliche Konsequenz die stufenweise Akkumulation von versteckten Schulden, welche sich diametral zur Wirtschaft bewegen.
Schulden-Intransparenz
Schätzungen über die chinesische Gesamtverschuldung variieren enorm. Offiziell bewegten sie sich vor zwei Jahren um etwa 20% des BSP. Experten der chinesischen Wirtschaft weisen jedoch darauf hin, dass dies im internationalen Vergleich erstaunlich tief ist. Wenn Transparenz geschaffen wird, nimmt man an, dass die Schuldenlast in den nächsten zehn Jahren bis 100% des BSP erreichen könnte. Wenn Policy-Änderungen nicht umgesetzt werden, um die negativen Seiten im Bankgeschäft, im Pensionswesen und in den Inter-Enterprise-Verbindlichkeiten unter Kontrolle zu bekommen, könnten Chinas Schulden mit alarmierender Geschwindigkeit ausser Kontrolle geraten.
Chinas Überschuldung basiert auf folgenden drei Ursachen: den notleidenden Krediten (non-performing loans) innerhalb des staatlich kontrollierten Bankensektors, Chinas umlagefinanziertem Altervorsorgesystem (unfunded pension obligations) und den Rückständen aus geschäftlicher Tätigkeit zwischen den Staatsbetrieben. Es wird angenommen, dass die notleidenden Kredite den grössten Teil der Gesamtschuldenlast ausmachen. Schätzungen gehen von bis zu etwa 40% des BSP aus. Es gibt jedoch auch Stimmen, welche behaupten, dass diese Annahmen bei weitem unter dem realen Volumen der notleidenden Kredite liegen. Dies deshalb, weil in China Kredite erst nach zwei Jahren als notleidend klassiert werden, während dies in den meisten entwickelten Ländern bereits nach 90 Tagen der Fall ist. Zweitens gewähren lokale Banken überaus grosszügig Kredite an den kommerziellen Sektor, speziell im Liegenschaftsbereich, wo der Leerwohnungsbestand konstant hoch bleibt. Bedauernswerterweise kennt niemand - nicht einmal die People`s Bank of China - das genaue Volumen der notleidenden Kredite. Das Problem besteht darin, dass der chinesische Bankensektor verhältnismässig chaotisch ist. Das Finanzsystem wird durch vier staatliche Institutionen dominiert, welche ungefähr 70% aller Vermögenswerte im Bankensektor halten. Sie haben über 143000 Filialen und beschäftigen beinahe 1,7 Millionen Personen. Die intransparenten Organisationsstrukturen verhindern einen regulären Überblick über die Verschuldungssituation.
Bankenkonsolidierung in Sicht
Um die Verschwendung von finanziellen Ressourcen zu stoppen und den Kollaps des Finanzsystems zu verhindern, müssen die Staatsbanken ihr Kreditkontrollwesen und das Risikomanagement verbessern. Die in letzter Zeit sichtbarste Verbesserung war die Etablierung der vier Vermögensverwaltungsfirmen (Asset Management Companies, AMCs). Die AMCs erwerben, managen und beseitigen notleidende Kredite durch Debt-Equity-Swaps, durch Secondary Sales oder durch direkte Liquidation. Bis Ende 1999 übernahmen die AMCs über 400 Mrd RMB notleidende Kredite, wovon ungefähr 100 Mrd RMB erfolgreich in Aktien umgewandelt wurden. Die People`s Bank of China etablierte ein ambitiöses, kurzfristiges Ziel für die AMCs von RMB, nämlich 70% der 1,2 Trillionen notleidenden Kredite einzutreiben. Nach der Rekapitalisierung und Sanierung zweifelhafter Kredite wird eine Konsolidierung unter den grossen Banken erwartet. Ausserdem werden Dutzende kleinerer Institutionen geschlossen. Die Gesamtkosten für die Rekapitalisierung des chinesischen Bankensystems wird auf etwa 90 Mrd US-Dollar geschätzt.
Reform der Bankkundenstruktur
Die Reform des chinesischen Bankensystems ist unmittelbar mit der Reform der Bankkundenstruktur verbunden. Die Hauptkunden sind die ineffizienten chinesischen Staatsbetriebe. In letzter Zeit hat China substanzielle Fortschritte gemacht, um den Einfluss der Staatsbetriebe auf die Wirtschaft zu vermindern. Gemessen am Output wurde ihr Anteil von etwa 90% des BIP Ende 1970 bis heute auf etwa 28% des BIP reduziert. Die Finanzsubventionen sind ebenfalls von 309 Mrd RMB, 4,3% des BIP Ende 1980, auf 101 Mrd RMB, 1,3% des BIP 1998, gefallen.
Um die Reform zu beschleunigen, hat die chinesische Regierung die Staatsbetriebe in drei Gruppen eingeteilt: die Hoffnungslosen, die Schlechten und die potenziellen Perlen. Realistisch eingeschätzt, werden die Hälfte in der ersten, etwa 40% in der zweiten und nur 10% in der dritten Gruppe sein. Das beabsichtigte Schicksal für die Hoffnungslosen sollte ein lenkbarer und langsamer Marktaustritt sein. Die zweifelhaften Forderungen von dieser Gruppe werden an die vier AMCs übertragen. Betriebe in der zweiten Gruppe werden an ausländische oder inländische Privatinvestoren verkauft. Die in der dritten Gruppe werden an der Börse kotiert.
Für die längerfristige Reform der Staatsbetriebe bevorzugt China eher die Privatisierung. Der Staat beabsichtigt die Mehrheitskontrolle über die Betriebe bei sich zu behalten und bietet deshalb der Öffentlichkeit nur eine Minderheitsbeteiligung an. Diese Minderheitsbeteiligungen werden als Renminbi-denominierte A-Shares strikte nur inländischen Investoren offeriert. Börsenkotierung ist eine zweckdienliche Methode, um zwei Fliegen auf einen Schlag zu treffen. Erstens, die Kotierung wird unvermeidlich das Eigenkapital der Staatsbetriebe erhöhen, somit wird der Verschuldungsgrad und das Bankenkreditrisiko reduziert. Ausserdem bringt es Geld in die Staatkasse. Zweitens schafft es Anreize für das Management, gute Arbeit zu liefern, weil sich Missmanagement in einer schlechten Aktienpreisperformance reflektieren wird.
Es gibt aber Zweifel an einer massiven Privatisierung in China. Die Gründe sind die Parteikader, welche nur schwer dazu zu bewegen sein werden, ihre Macht aufzugeben. Zweitens wurden viele Investoren in der Vergangenheit in Bezug auf die Qualität des Managements enttäuscht und haben sich ihre Finger verbrannt. Der Kapitalmarkt erfordert mehr Qualität als Quantität in Bezug auf neue Kotierungen. Um mehr potenzielle Investoren anzuziehen, muss China die erfolgversprechendsten Firmen an den Markt bringen. Noch wichtiger impliziert Privatisierung die Übertragung der Eigentumsrechte von der öffentlichen Hand in Privatbesitz. In einem System, wo dieses Recht noch nicht hinreichend definiert ist, sind Investoreninteressen substanziell gefährdet. Unter Berücksichtigung all dieser Umstände erfordern erfolgreiche Privatisierungen eine dringende Reform der gesetzlichen Rahmenbedingungen, des Kapitalmarkts und auch des Buchhaltungssystems. Eigentlich basiert eine durchgreifende Reform der Staatsbetriebe auf der Beseitigung der «soft budget»-Politik. Wenn «hard budget» eingeführt würde, könnten Manager die Geschäfte nicht mehr gegen die Gesetze der Wirtschaft führen. Wenn auch die Banken fähig wären, unter ihren Kreditnehmern auszuwählen und marktgerechte Zinsätze zu verlangen, würden die Manager schnell lernen, rational zu investieren und ihre Unternehmungen auf Rentabilität auszurichten. Wenn dem Konkursgesetz Zähne verpassst werden, können die zahlungsunfähigen Betriebe in die Liquidation gezwungen werden und Missmanagement wäre dem Untergang geweiht. Erfreulicherweise hat China diesen Ansatz bei «township and village enterprises» (TVEs) bereits erfolgreich eingeführt. Die TVEs sind im kollektiven Besitz von Angestellten und Gemeinschaften. Viele TVEs sind eigentlich private Unternehmungen, aber verkleiden sich als Kollektive. Schon lange nehmen sie Kredite zu Marktbedingungen auf. Es gibt oft Konkurse, aber die Folge dieser Struktur ist, dass viele TVEs erstklassige, gut verwaltete Unternehmungen sind.
Das Pensionssystem ist reformbedürftig
Die Reform des Sozialversicherungssystems hat grosse Bedeutung für die Restrukturierung des Bankensystems. Gegenwärtig wird das Mass der Verbindlichkeit für Chinas Sozialversicherung zwischen 50% bis 150% des BIP geschätzt. Analysen des demografischen Trends in China sagen einen Alptraum voraus, ausgelöst durch das «4-2-1»-Syndrom. Dies bedeutet, dass innerhalb von 15 bis 20 Jahren Millionen Individuen (1) mit der sozialen Unterstützung für (2) Eltern und (4) Grosseltern belastet werden. Mit anderen Worten, Ressourcen, welche für wachstumsgenerierende Aktivitäten verwendet werden könnten, müssen für die Altersvorsorge genutzt werden. Dies führt zu einer allmählichen Verlangsamung der Ersparnisse, Investitionen und des Wachstums. Das ist der eigentliche Grund, den die meisten China-Analytiker vorbringen, dass nämlich die Regierung keine andere Wahl hat, als ihr Geld via Kapitalmarkt, insbesondere via Aktienmarkt, zu beschaffen. Dies bedeutet nicht nur neue Kotierungen an der Börse, sondern auch eine Verminderung der heutigen Beteiligungen der Regierung an den bereits kotierten Unternehmungen. Im Oktober 1999 hat die Regierung ihre Absicht angekündigt, ihre Beteiligung von 62% bis auf 51%, in Form einer schleichenden Privatisierung zu reduzieren. Zusätzlich ermutigt die Regierung die angehende Lebensversicherungs-und Pensionsindustrie den Staatsbetrieben gewisse Erleichterungen zu geben, aber Fortschritte sind erst langsam zu beobachten.

The Emerging Capital Markets in China

China hat zwei wichtige Wertpapierbörsen: The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SHSE) und The Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE). Diese zwei Börsen sind unter der Aufsicht der China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), welche im Oktober 1992 errichtet wurde. Im November 1998 übernahm die CSRC die Aufsichtsaufgabe über den Wertpapiermarkt von der People`s Bank of China.
Die chinesischen Unternehmungen bieten drei Aktienkategorien an: A-Aktien, B-Aktien und H-Aktien. Die A-Aktien sind Renminbi-denominierte Beteiligungswertpapiere und sind strikt für inländische Investoren reserviert. Ausländische Investoren dürfen in B-Aktien investieren. Die B-Aktien sind auch als Renminbi Special Shares (RSS) bekannt. Diese tragen einen Renminbi-denominierten Nennwert, werden aber in ausländischen Währungen gezeichnet und gehandelt. Beide Aktienkategorien werden an der SHSE und SZSE gehandelt, aber der B-Aktienmarkt ist relativ klein, verglichen mit dem A-Aktienmarkt. Die aktuelle B-Aktien-Marktkapitalisierung erreicht etwa 5 Mrd US-Dollar, was nur 1% der A-Aktien-Marktkapitalisierung ausmacht. Der Grund für dieses tiefe ausländische Interesse sind Sorgen der Investoren über die Intransparenz der kotierten Unternehmungen. Die H-Aktien sind nicht an inländischen, sondern an ausländischen Börsen wie in Hongkong, London und New York kotierte Beteiligungswertpapiere. Im Jahr 2000 sind mehr als 20 chinesische Unternehmungen an diese internationalen Börse gegangen. Ausländische Kotierungen haben mehrfache Wirkungen auf Chinas Wirtschaftsreformprozess. Die wichtigste ist der Erwerb von Erfahrungen von gut etablierten Börsen über Managementmethoden, Buchhaltungssysteme, gesetzliche und regulatorische Massnahmen und Technologien für die Durchführung einer effizienten einheimischen Börse.
Im Jahr 2001 plant China eine neue Aktienbörse für Hightech-Privatfirmen. Andere Änderungen, die eine Überlegung Wert sind: Firmen, welche rentabel arbeiten, bereits nach einem Jahr Aktien ausstellen zu lassen anstatt erst nach drei Jahren. Im Weiteren gibt es Diskussionen, ob die beiden Börsen von Shanghai und Shenzhen fusioniert werden sollen, was einen Markt mit einer Kapitalisation von 500 Mrd US-Dollar kreieren würde.

Business as Usual!

Trotz aller politischen Komplikationen blühen die wirtschaftlichen Aktivitäten zwischen China und Taiwan, als ob an der politischen Front nichts passiert wäre. Im September 2000 haben Taiwans Spitzenbankiers das Festland besucht, um die Möglichkeit der Eröffnung von Bankfilialen zu prüfen. Die taiwanesische Regierung entwarf sogar Gesetze, welche die Beschränkung liberalisieren, die bisher den taiwanesischen Banken verbot, auf dem Festland aktiv zu werden. Ausserdem gibt es Diskussionen über die Aufhebung gewisser Beschränkungen, welche es den taiwanesischen Firmen untersagte, ihre Hightech-Fabriken in China aufzubauen oder sich an chinesischen Infrastruktursprojekten zu beteiligen. Zusätzlich zur Aufhebung einiger Investitionsrestriktionen ging das taiwanesische Erziehungsministerium noch einen Schritt weiter. So erteilte es kürzlich die Bewilligung, in China Schulen einzurichten, welche die langfristigen Beziehungen mit dem Festland festigen sollen. Innerhalb von wenigen Monaten begannen taiwanesiche Geschäftskreise in Guangdong und Shanghai Schulen zu gründen, sodass in absehbarer Zeit mehr taiwanesische Auswanderer ihre Familien nach China nachziehen werden.
Der Kernpunkt ist die wirtschaftliche Verbindung zwischen den beiden Ländern. Heuzutage muss sich jeder fähige Führer auf die Wirtschaft fokussieren, und das trifft auch auf die Parteiführer in China zu. Wirtschaftlich brauchen sich China und Taiwan gegenseitig. China benötigt dringend die Kapitalinvestitionen aus Taiwan und Taiwan das günstige Arbeitsangebot und das riesige Potenzial des chinesischen Markts. In der Vergangenheit hat Taiwan mehr als 40 Mrd US-Dollar in China investiert. Das macht etwa 40% der Gesamtsauslandsinvestition der Insel aus. Solche Investitionen sind sehr wichtig für China, weil es hilft Devisen zu beschaffen und die Wirtschaftsreform voranzutreiben. China ist gegenwärtig Taiwans drittgrösster Handelspartner. China kauft 17% der taiwanesischen Exporte und liefert 4% des taiwanesischen Imports. Die beide Länder profitieren vom Handel, was indirekt zur Verbesserung der politischen Beziehung beitragen kann.

China verschärft Internet Richtlinien

Mit weiteren Reglementierungen versucht China Ungesetzmäßigkeiten im Internet entgegenzuwirken. In Bezug auf ein Regierungsschriftstück berichtete dies heute die South China Morning Post.

Kernpunkt des neuen Gesetzes ist eine schärfere Überwachung des Internets und Bestrafung derer, die in die Computernetzwerke der nationalen Sicherheit oder Verteidigung eindringen und auch Bestrafung derer, die Gerüchte verbreiten, religiöse Kulte veröffentlichen oder andere Verbrechen über das Internet begehen.

Besonders die Beschränkung von Hackern und Viren sowie die Warung der nationalen Sicherheit seien die Ziele der chinesischen Regierung.

SORRY FOR THE DELAY!!!

Posting and finding a computer has become a real problem here. We are now in Beijing. Shanghai was outstanding and WindInfo and Gua Mao made outstanding presentations. The level of detail presented was good and we were allowed significant question and answer time. The only problem I saw is the Dr Phan and Dr Yang need more money to allow these two companies to purchase their competition ealier rather than later. I was VERY MUCH impressed with both of these companies. They are both very exciting and the mainland, especially Shanghai is the place to be. We are in the right company, HRCT just needs more money or a higher stock price to be able to accomplish more on a laster time table.

The ISPs all seem to knock you off line when I can find a computer to access. The Hotels block the 162 network to make you have you use their lousy Business Centers which have 28K and 486 units. And there are only two of them in the Five star hotels.

I am posting here just prior to attending the Harcourt Banquet tonight. We arrived early so I went to the Business Center and here you are. I don`t have much time so this will be short as well.

The Conference will be tomorrow for the full day. I plan of attending from start to finish but that means not visiting UAC, etc. I am going to see how the conference goes and decide on the fly which one would be best.

What the heck is going on the the markets over there? We did get to visit the trading floor of the Shanghai Stock exchange. It was pretty quiet since there is electronis matching of trades, but at least their market was up.

I have tons of good information, just not enough hours in the day. I am currently operating on 2 hours sleep as we had to get up at 5:00 AM to get the bus to the airport. We are spending large amounts of time in the bus as the traffic is high and the roads are packed. I have much to share and will write extensively whenever I get the time.
